In my tolkien verse for Bruce, you might have noticed that he’s built a bit differently than most Ologs that you might have seen in Shadow of War or the one Aragorn faced in last battle in The Return of the King.

That’s because Bruce hails from the wild population of Olog-hai in south Mirkwood. He was later captured by Orcs and brought to Mordor at a young age: hence, he barely remembers life outside of Mordor’s mountains. Yet, Bruce possesses a wilder, stronger will than the Ologs who swore their allegiance to Sauron.

Here Bruce is as a pup, with his mother Adria. Style is based off of a Spirit screenshot (an animated film very close to my heart)!

You didnt specify if you wanted yandere bruz or a gendered reader, so I tried to leave it ambiguous :) Sorry if its too short!

It didnt matter what Bruz did- he always made you feel small. That fact may sound obvious to anyone else, considering he is an Olog and you are a human.

But when he suddenly grabbed you, placed you on a bed and loomed over you... thats when you felt like the smallest, most vulnerable being ever. He practically purred at the sight of you, nervous and trembing as his massive body threatened to crush you if he allowed his weight to squish you. You always went still- something Bruz loved. "Just look at yourself... laying there for me... what is it? are you scared big bad Bruz might squish ya?" He asks with amusement. His hand comes over to caress your cheek lovingly. "You better not move then, you woudnt want me to accidentally lean on you and break your pretty little body..." He leans down to nuzzle against you, his arms dipping the matress under you. he carefully kissed your neck, before gracing his teeth against it.

You coudnt help but shiver and whimper, both in fear and in pleasure, you knew this was a dangerous game- for you. Bruz only chuckled as his other hand went to part your legs, you allowed it, barely resisting, earning another pleased grunt from Bruz. "Thats it. You only job is to lie there quietly and take it." his hand began to massage your privates, his eyes hungry and his breathing getting heavier. "You are mine to use."

Unlike Orcs who are obligate carnivores, Ologs are omnivores who can feasibly process both plant and mushrooms in the wilds.

When Bruce finally settles down in the West, meat isn’t a daily dish for him, apart from the occasional scavenged deer and gifted meats from farmers. Many mushrooms have wonderful, savory flavors which can satisfy even the most meat-hungry of trolls.

It’s fall here and I’ve been finding wonderful bounties of lion’s mane mushrooms and hen-of-the-woods in my local forests; I’ve gotta say that I’ve spoiled myself with mushroom foraging, and can’t bear buying comparably tasteless mushrooms from the grocery store!

(As a disclaimer, DO NOT eat mushrooms if you’re not 100% certain about the species!!! 🚫)

A weird thing happened. I was fighting Ur-Hakon the Caragor Thief to recruit him, since I had recruited his blood-brother earlier. Unfortunately Ur-Hakon strikes a killing blow, but guess who comes to my rescue? My newest recruit, Flogg the Screamer. His blood-brother. So Flogg kills his blood-brother and immediately after that goes into a rage and betrays me.

Yandere Brûz Headcanons

For @moonstonevulture and @dirtymeanuruk (and myself 🥴😏)

Before Being Broken:

Brûz is dangerous for how he is both needy and insecure. He masks this well with his Warmonger bravado, but make no mistake: having you anywhere that isn’t either on his shoulder or in his arms makes him nervous to the point of becoming violent, and you wouldn’t want him to getting all upset, would you?

Some of his bad habits and traits include:

Having a constant need to have you within arms reach (being within his eyesight is nowhere near enough for him)

Hating you being within a meter of any other uruk or olog (and yes, it does extend to his blood brothers to a certain extent)

Never letting you have any meaningful relationships with anyone that isn't him (or an acquaintance with his blood brothers)

Nearly crushing you in his grip whenever he decides that you're done socializing for the day

Nearly crushing you in his grip when his jealousy rears its ugly head

Threatening anyone that he believes could (or would) threaten your relationship

Constantly begs you for attention and affirmation

Completely touched starved and is always picking you up and holding you close to his face

Probably has a special set of armour made just for you (you know, for ownership protection)

Likes to squeeze you hard on purpose, liking how fragile you feel under his grasp but it also makes him feel protective, as you are too squishy to be left alone anywhere in Mordor...

After Being Broken:

He's not what he used to be... Brûz is broken in mind and soul but not in body. He still remembers your touch and your scent, even if he doesn't understand why. He's no less dangerous than he was before, perhaps he's more dangerous now than ever before. You are a safety blanket that he cannot survive without. You are always attached to his person, one way or another. Even if he can't say your name anymore, he won't let you forget that he is where you belong.

Many of his old habits and traits remain, but he's much more fragile and needy and he doesn't hide it behind his bravado or use his words to get what he wants.

Rarely puts you down (if ever)

There never was much privacy, but now there is none

You will be covered in drool, tears and snot 24/7

If you aren't touching him in someway, he becomes outright hysterical

His fits are constant and never stop, but you are the only thing that keeps him somewhat grounded and keeps him from flying off the handle

He will get violent often and you will have bruises and broken bones

Your voice is soothing but he doesn't understand what you are saying (he doesn't even recognize his name but the sound soothes him nonetheless)

Bender (2002) by Ted Larson and Bob Allen, CA, USA. Bender is the first incarnation of the self-balancing AMPbot concept; Ted & Bob later founded OLogic to promote it.

"Bob had built some combat robots in the past, and we were both excited about working together on more interesting and complicated robotic projects where we could use all three robotics disciplines: mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. Back then, my mechanical engineering skills were severely lacking. Robot-suitable mechanical parts were hard to come by, but combat robot parts were more readily available due to their popularity on TV at the time. 

I had a pile of these parts and was eager to put something together. I remember one afternoon going over to Bob’s house to discuss the possibility of doing a collaborative robot project using this parts pile. His first comment was, “Are you crazy? You’re going to destroy your house if you build it with that stuff!” He then showed me a video of a robot that could balance on two wheels, and I thought it was amazing. Plus, it was small and probably wouldn’t destroy my house. Bob and I wondered if we could build something similar. It couldn’t be that hard, right?

Months later, in 2002, Bob and I finally had a set of electronics put together, with the right motors figured out, and we were ready to take a crack at making it balance and drive around. Then came the hard part. Building the robot was one thing, but the software challenge of making it autonomously balance on two wheels was monumental. I think it took a good three months just to get it to not fall over, and many more months to make it drive around. The first robot was named Bender after the lovable beer-drinking robot from Futurama.
