I hope this situation is resolved quickly. I hope Quackity and the cc’s are able to work to make conditions better. But in the meantime, we as an audience are going to need to be prepared for some things.

What things, you ask? Well, to begin, this situation is very similar to what happens when an unprotected labor force (in this case the admins/devs/etc) begins to communicate and band together for better working conditions (eg unions). The higher ups don’t want this. The higher ups are going to do anything and everything in their power to prevent this from happening. The higher ups WANT this labor force to be unprotected because it means that they can continue to take advantage of them and make more money off of their work. As more and more former (and, hopefully, current) admins begin to speak out, I can guarantee you that the higher ups will work to silence those still involved with the project as much as they can. If they think one of the current admins is giving out information or is about to go forward with their story, they will remove them first.

If this happens-if an egg admin suddenly stops showing up or shows up acting different than they normally do-it is because the higher ups have chosen to silence them rather than fix the underlying problem.

If this happens: WE NEED TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT.

If this turns into an actual strike on the side of the admins (which I feel would take the form of NONE of them showing up which would remove a majority of this server’s content and generate high audience support-and that’s without getting into a strike on the side of the building devs/writers/etc) we need to remember to support them. That means being vocal about what we want to see (better conditions) and letting those higher ups know that we stand with the workers.

If this becomes a strike-and I dearly hope it does-we as an audience need to support it and understand that the content we are used to may not be able to happen for an extended period of time. That’s the entire POINT of a strike; it’s disruptive.

This got away from me a little, but I think it’s important to note. I hope to fucking god that this situation is resolved quickly in favor of the admins. They have put too much time, effort, and soul into this project for some assholes in middle management to give them jack shit in return.

Hello! It’s been a while~

Here’s a fan painting of Idren and my Ophelia from @honeypeabrain’s Ouroboros, glow up and all.

First time painting on my Surface pro, as well as my first attempt at not leaving in the lineart. Not quite yet at that level of artistry I wanna be at, but I think I’m getting closer. Hope ya’ll think it turned out okay! Still can’t do background TuT

These two have been invading my every thought lately. 

Thoughts like what they could have been before everything fell apart. How “the incident” turned them into enemies who may-or-may-not still have feelings for one another buried under all that hate and anger. How Idren stuck around and got both help and a support system (he and Sive seem pretty close, and I think I recall Honeypea mentioning Auryn  befriending Idren).

Meanwhile, Ophelia (or rather, all of our MCs) is forced to retire and lives in self-imposed exile. She COULD reach out for help, but as someone who struggles with mental health (on a less severe level and without PTSD) I know how hard that is. It’s much easier to lock yourself away and let it fester.

I like to imagine Idren knows this and wants to be a supportive figure in MC’s life. This especially considering his response to MC begging him not to drag them out of retirement. Granted, he goes about it in a.... unique way. BUT AT LEAST HE’S TRYING!!!!

Don’t get me wrong when I talk about the differences in experience. Considering the situation, Idren absolutely needed immediate attention and I can understand why no one took the time to make sure Ophelia/the MC was getting help. 

On the bright side, Ophelia/the MC was never completely alone. Not with Oma stopping by for visits!

But yeah, I don’t know. Something about these two resonates with me, both as individual characters and as a couple.

Finally went and watched Zero Tea Time and like, how is this man still functioning at all??? If we're to assume that Furuya sleeps about 2 hours a night regularly, I'm sorry but this man would in no way shape or form be able to do what he does. - Sincerely, someone who has legitimately slept 3AM to 5AM regularly for several months due to having pre-existing sleep issues and a job that started at an ungodly time.

Like, yes I get that I shouldn't be thinking too deeply since anime logic, but also on this same schedule I felt like I was about to die by week 3 and was essentially a human zombie with my mental health down the sink by week 6(and technically I was sleeping more than 2 hours since I would take some naps as well) so I have some strong feelings about this. Hell, there's no way this man would be able to keep track of what time it is let alone all his jobs and secrets with that amount of sleep. Even if we go under the assumption that he sleeps 3-4 or even 4-5 hours usually and the 2 hours was a special case this man would still not be able to make all those deductions and chase all those criminals. Sure you won't feel as shit, but you definitely will still be feeling quite shit.

No wonder this man depressed and insane with a sprinkling of anger issues and seems to be constantly lowkey disassociating in Zero Tea Time. Yes most of it is because he's the only one left and is horribly traumatized but also like Furuya, have you considered taking a nap? It doesn't solve the trauma, but give yourself 8-10 hours of proper sleep and you'll be waking up ready to take on god.

As a side note, are there fics where Furuya is severely sleep deprived and how that impacts him? Because so far I haven't seen any but I also don't usually go out of my way to find Furuya centered fics. Because if there isn't I'll write one myself, not enough chronic sleep deprivation rep round here in general. Mans mother hens everyone around him, he deserves someone to mother hen him back to force him to sleep because the world will not in fact end if he takes some time off.

I feel like a lot of times people have good intentions, but like, some things are common sense. You don't just go into someone's dms or asks and try to explain things to them when they haven't asked, especially if it has to do with their experiences. Like I get that you are just trying to clear the air, but really think about it first. Do you know that person? Do you really need to tell them that thing? I know you want to see jealous toni when one of the boys hits on shelby but consider this: she's shelbald right now and I don't see the boys going for that so maybe kirin starts flirting with toni and toni doesn't realize but shelby is the one that gets jealous. I can see them being sporty bros and shelby takes that as them getting closer and she knows she's being irrational but can't help it.

In episode 8 when they all meet in what literally looks like a gymnasium during prom night, I couldn’t help but think there had to be a basketball goal somewhere in there. That, of course, made me think about the possibility of Kirin and Toni becoming dumb jock besties™️ who spend a lot of time playing bunker basketball together.

And when I tell you Shelby hated it, I mean she hated it. It was dumb and selfish of her to feel that way but she couldn’t help it. The way this low, rumbling fire of jealousy burned in the pit of her stomach every time that big oaf managed to make Toni – her Toni – laugh. Don’t get her wrong, Shelby was well aware of the fact that Toni was quite possibly the gayest person to ever exist but, she was a teenage girl who happened to be utterly and desperately in love so all rational thought tended to take a backseat during times like those. Times when she was forced to watch some stupid boy quite literally sweep the other girl off her feet. Yes, she should’ve gotten used to it by then; the way the pair seemed to love to obnoxiously gloat every time they destroyed another team on the court. It was just hard, is all. It was just so damn hard for Shelby to sit there and not stew in her rather ugly emotions when she’d spent the last couple of months on the island being the person Toni excitedly ran to whenever she beat one of the other girls at some pointless game.

Okay and maybe, maybe she really was acting like quite the stick in the mud when she’d lost it on the lacrosse player. Maybe that embarrassing uptightness that she’d worked so hard to shed on the island came creeping back up the moment her verdant eyes caught the annoying boy tossing Toni over his shoulder. Maybe she was acting like a complete bitch in that moment but, come on, he deserved it!

She’d asked nicely at first. When he was running around like an idiot; jostling Toni more and more with each step. Hooting and hollering about their latest victory while everyone watched on in amusement. Shelby seemed to be the only one concerned about the girl’s safety. For Christ’s sake, he could’ve tripped and fallen, causing them to crash to the ground. He could’ve accidentally dropped her on her head and all because he wanted to what? Swing the girl around like some indestructible toy while he took a stupid “victory lap”? So yes, Shelby spoke up.

She tried to be the voice of caution. She politely suggested he set Toni back down but her request had either fallen on deaf ears or simply served to spur him on further. In hindsight, Shelby isn’t entirely certain what precise moment led her to finally yell at the big fool. It could’ve been when he’d called the girl in his arms some stupid nickname that reminded Shelby of the one he often used to refer to Josh. However, it was more likely when he’d finally decided to stop running around for just a minute, choosing instead to spin him and Toni around in dizzying circles a few times. The action had caused the girl on his shoulder to giggle. Toni Shalifoe had giggled at this stupid boy and it had made Shelby want to rain hellfire down Kirin O’Connor.

The angry demand had come tumbling out of her mouth before a second thought could be given to her words. The force with which she spoke left everyone in the room in shock. Mouths slightly agape, eyes wide as silence took ahold of the teens. The phrase put her down! seemed to echo off the walls of the gymnasium for what felt like an eternity. And after he finally slowly lowered Toni back to the ground Shelby was left internally debating about which felt worse: having Kirin, of all people, stare at her like she was some insane person or having the girl she loved and lost look at her with something akin to pity
