Oscar Bazaldua
I know about Oscar Bazaldua from his work on Marvel’s new Amazing Spider Man series. He has worked on other series which from what I’ve seen mainly seem to contain scantily clad women. In Spider-Man however there are a lot of interesting techniques and methods you can see in his work. One thing He does is perspective, if spider-man is swinging on a web if one foot is ahead of the other it will be drawn larger. He takes this care and consideration into all of his work and because of this it never looks off, you never get confused as to where everything is. I think that his use of cross hatching is incredibly good adding just the right amount of texture and shade into every image and he doesn’t go overboard with it which could really hurt the final outcome. Combined with the incredible colour work it’s clear why this artist is making a name for himself.
