Are you someone who can’t seem to go to protests or do anything outside of your home to support Palestinians? Are you afraid of supporting either side of the war because you aren’t fully educated on the matter? Do you wanna know how to protest?

Fear not! This is a breakdown of resources to read and how to support Palestinians!

RESEARCH! ~ 🔎

The conflict between Israel v.s. Palestine has been going on since 1947. For me personally, I’ve been hearing about the conflict since I was 14 in 2021.

Q: What is HAMAS?

A: HAMAS is a terrorist organization in Palestine that formed in 1987 due to Israel’s occupation of Palestine. HAMAS launched an attack due to brewing resentment and the attack was to “relieve Palestinians of the occupation of the West Bank and Israel's blockade of the Gaza strip” (Cook, CBSnews).

Q: What is the history of the Israeli and Palestinian conflict?

The Balfour Declaration of 1917, issued by the British, endorsed the idea of a Jewish homeland in Palestine and led to an influx of Jewish immigrants into Palestine. Then, after WW2 and the Holocaust, there was international pressure to establish a Jewish state, which led to the establishment of Israel in 1948. After the establishment of Israel, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians became displaced from their homes. There were numerous attempts to have peaceful negotiations but none of them lasted.

Supporting Palestinians stance: The people who support Palestine supports Palestinian freedom, not violence! There are rare extremists who think HAMAS is in the right for targeting civilians but that doesn’t make up the vast majority of supporters. REMEMBER TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH ON THIS TOPIC OF THE VICTIMS IN PALESTINE! LISTEN TO THEIR STORIES!

Put in your information and click Find my Elected Officials and all of the officials will be listed with their contact info! It’s recommended to contact their local offices (and you can find that information by clicking their website in the information section).

Some have complained about the memes being disrespectful. You're actually legally obligated to make fun of Israeli propaganda and Zionists. I don't make the rules.

Edit 3: "The river to the sea" does not mean the expulsion of Jews from Palestine. Believing that is genocide apologia.

Edit 4: Gazans have specifically asked us to put every effort into pushing for a ceasefire instead of donations. "Raising humanitarian aid" is a grift Western governments are pushing right now to deflect from the fact that they're sending billions to Israel to keep carpet bombing Gazans. As long as the blockades are still in place there will never be enough aid for two million people. (UPDATE: PLEASE DONATE to the Gazan's GoFundMe fundraisers to help them buy food and get out of Rafah into Egypt. E-SIMs, food and medical supplies are also essential. Please donate to the orgs linked in the How You Can Help. Go on the strikes. DO NOT STOP PROTESTING.)

Check back for more. I also removed sources like Jewish Voices of Peace and Breaking the Silence that do good work but have come under fair criticism from Palestinians.
