He’s basically a very extreme reviewer and fact-checker that doesn’t let anything slide. If you are caught spreading falsehoods, get ready to get snatched and judged indiscriminately. Both the scales on his outfit and his ears act like scales and a way to verify your verdict. He will judge your heart to get to the bottom of it all. If your “heart” is heavy, get ready to be punished

Kananya

Landscape

Kananya is a tropical nation and one of the first to be formed. It is inspired by the Greater Antilles and the Taíno people. It is made up of tropical rainforests, evergreen forests, grasslands, plains, beaches, fertile valleys, and some mountain ranges. The two largest parts of the ecosystem are the Blooming Plains in the center and the Blooming Forest. The latter acts as a border between Kananya and Chromystal in the north. Kananya is known as the Nation of Flowers and the originator for many agricultural and musical practices. The reason for this is because they worship the Goddess of Nature, Mamá Mayna. She is a benevolent goddess with intricate powers over the surrounding flora. She specializes in the creation of flowers, because they are her favorite. She was the first god created by the Celestial also known as Harmony, but is usually referred to as Mother. Alongside her, two others were created, being Alagbede, God of Rock, and Bakar-Asim, God of Soil. Together they form the Triad of Nature. They helped form the ecosystems necessary for life to thrive. These three are the oldest gods on the planet.

Kananya is filled with many beautiful and vivid flowers that are found all over the nation. Some are found in vines, in the grass, on water, and even on top of mountains. The flora become even more magical and weird as they get closer and closer to the Blooming Plains and the Blooming Forest. This is due to the high concentration of magic. This has led to the creation of sentient plants known as the Anacutey. The Anacutey are a large bundle of plants that act as a hive mind and take the form of various animals. The three main types are: Avis, which takes the form of a bird; Manis, which takes the form of burrowing mammals; and Marinis, which takes the form of marine animals.

Music and Dance

Kananya is known for being the originator for musical practices. This is because of Mamá Mayna’s 3 children: Anacoa, Ananina, and Anasibo. Each was created using a special flower. Anacoa was the first, created using a coralillo. She is known as the Flower of Instruments for creating the first instrument in history. By taking a branch and shaping it and using vines as strings, she made the first string instrument. She made many others using the plants around her, such as the guitar, the lyre, the drums, the maracas, and the güira. She taught the people of the nation how to make these, and the practice spread worldwide. Next to be created was Ananina, Flower of Song. She helped the people tone their voices and sing in unison. Many song types evolved from hers. Last is Anasibo, Flower of Dance, energetic ever since birth. He used his energy to come up with rhythmic movements and let the people watch him. He then taught them these moves and how to use their whole body to their advantage. The ancient Kananyans had mixed and used all they had learned from these deities to come up with different music styles. These evolved into what we now know as el reggae, samba, merengue, bachata, salsa, flamenco, and many more.

During this time, the Flowers had decided that they wanted to make life just like their mother. But, due to them being deities and having less power, their creations came up as mortals. Strong and magical beings, but still mortal. These creations are known as the 3 Grand Cazques. These are: the Cairanama, the Cuttlelugs, and the Curilebras. The Cairanama were the joint creation of Anacoa and Anasibo, to mix their rhythm. Cairanama are known for their elaborate dances. They use their beaks and feet as instruments, and their wings as a coat to flare around. Next are the Cuttlelugs, creations of Anasibo and Ananina. They are friendly, bubbly, and quite childish in nature. They are well known for their bubbly, upbeat songs and little dances. Last but not least, the Curilebras are the creations of Ananina. They are notorious for their hypnotic, siren songs and the use of their wings as a lyre or a harp. They are mysterious and regal and mischievous. They all live together in the center of the Blooming Forest, where magic is at its most strong. They sometimes go out and interact with civilization. Cuttlelugs, in particular, like to interact with the populace. Some are even found at the heart of the Blooming Plains. The other two don’t go out as much.

Land Division and Social Hierarchy

Kananya is divided into 5 regions: Ketuanna, Ketibey, Ketrynbuco, Karaguá, and Kesin-arón. Ketuanna is the largest region found in the northwest of the nation. It and Ketibey are mostly made up of marshes, rivers, wetlands, ponds, swamps, and lakes. Ketibey is the second largest region found in the northeast. Up next in size is Kesin-arón, found in the southwest near the border to Onisona. Then, it is Karaguá found in the southeast near the border to the Nahda Kingdom. It and Kesin-arón contain most of the mountains, mountain ranges, and valleys of the nation. Lastly, Ketrynbuco is the smallest in size. It is in the mid north between Ketibey and Ketuanna. It contains most of the forested areas and a large part of the Blooming Forest.

Kananya’s regions are divided between 5 cacicazgos, or chiefdoms. These are: Marién, in Ketuanna; Higüey, in Ketibey; Jaragua, in Karaguá; Maguana, in Kesin-arón; and Maguá, in Ketrynbuco. These cacicazgos are ruled over their respective caciques, or chieftains. They are alongside their trustworthy bohiques, or priests/advisers/healers. Below them are the nitaínos, or protectors, chuquecos, or traders/merchants, and the naborías, or the common folk. The majority of the population is made up of avians with colorful feathers and appearance that look like flowers. The next race that is most common are the lizardfolk with vibrant patterns.

Agriculture

Kananya has specialized in agriculture and gardening. They are one of the largest producers of crops and flowers sold all over the world. Their main foods are sweet potatoes, yucas, beans, corn, wheat, potatoes, ñame, peppers, cocoa beans, and, most importantly, rice. They usually trade among their neighbors, especially Onisona and the Nahda Kingdom, as they have good trading routes and arrangements. These three nations have had close relations with each other ever since they were founded, due to the close affinity of their patron gods. The Kananyans learn how to cultivate at a young age. It is usually taught alongside school. They use a mix of intensive root crop cultivation and subsistence farming for their agricultural methods. These use conucos, or small raised crops, for these.

Tourism

Kananya is also a hot tourist attraction due to its flora. Hundreds of Thousands of people come yearly to see its beautiful landscape. There are even so called ‘flower hunters’ that look for the most extravagant flowers. Alongside the flora, the Anacutey are also quite popular to see. The mysterious Grand Cazques are also a strong point in tourism.

Housing

Kananyans usually don’t live in very populated areas. Instead, the nation is made up of small towns and villages. The most populated areas are where the caciques live, in the capital, and trading centers. They live in small, circular houses named bohíos, while the caciques lived in much larger, rectangular houses called caneyes. These houses are made up of wood and foliage, reinforced by thick wood trunks. The houses of the caciques are made on top of hills. They had many chambers reinforced by a thin layer of clay. The houses are usually painted a variety of colors like seafoam green, yellow, light blue, and red.

The Deital Pharaohs

The Deital Pharaohs are an important part of the Nahda Kindom, socially, politically, and economically. These 3 Deities are the rulers of the kingdom. Each were made for the purpose of distributing, collecting, and deciding what knowledge is important. Each Deital Pharaoh governs over a region of the kingdom. To the far west is Kemet, the far east Deshret, and in between is Hedjet. These regions are also known as the Black lands, the Red Sands, and the White Sands respectively.

Starting with the first of the Deital Pharaohs, Pharaoh Kemet is the oldest and the first sphinx ever created. With the amount of theme she has lived, she had recuperated a lot of knowledge and wisdom and decided to teach everyone that wants to this information. With this came the creation of various academies, schools, colleges, and universities. She helped better the education system and made the Nahda Kingdom a powerhouse in education. She also flounder the largest, oldest, and most prestigious academy, the Akademiya of Henbel. It is propped up near her home residence, the Hanging Gardens of Kemet. It is built with intricate, spiral architecture mixed with the roots and vines of the plants near by. There are 6 main branches of study: Biology, Tecnology, History, Astronomy, Alchemy, and Geology. From these, many other minor branches are created as specialization. For example, Tecnology can be anywhere from architecture to the study of machinery, and Alchemy can be the making of potion to the study of magic and its effects on life. As for myself, I studied under the branch of history with a specialization of archeology.

Next up is Pharaoh Hedjet. He is the closest on appearance to the God of Soil. His main obligation is the collection and protection of information. The main institution he founded is the system of libraries found all through the kingdom, but most especially in the White Sands. The whole system is known as the Grand Library of Seshat, and it is the biggest library in the whole world, spanning not only throughout the nation but also going underground. Almost all forms of information is stored here, even those from other nations. Each part of the library is dedicated to a certain subject. The main and largest part of the library is known as the Library of Thoth. The underground portion is known as the Library of Chisisi. The information stored here includes biology, alchemy, history, culture, astronomy, technology, geography, geology, and much, much more. The Pharaoh Hedjet lives in a giant tower, in which the main part of the library surrounds. Unlike the other 2 pharaohs, he is not seen as often due to him always organizing new books, documents, and writings into their respective places.

The last pharaoh is the Pharaoh Deshret. His role is to judge the information sent to the libraries and academies and decide whether they are wrong or dangerous. He rules over the Red Sands. His main institution is Courts of Ma’at and the other minor courts. These courts keep the scholars and students in check and make sure no wrongful information is given. You will not believe how many scholars either cheat, sabotage, or don’t care to hurt others for their own gain. For one, I am a very grateful for the viziers located in the Akademiya. If it weren’t for them, the experience there would be a lot worse.

Mysteries of Mayantli

Mayantli was an ancient entity that appears in many folklore and stories, most especially in Tlanex-Tli. It is said that it had terrorized the territory that would become the Tlanex-Tli Empire millennia ago. The actual date of the terrors caused by Mayantli varies from book to book, but the one thing they all have in common is that Mayantli appeared right after the Great Calamity of Red Soil. It is unknown whether Mayantli was a byproduct of the Calamity or if it was an entity sealed away that got out right after the Calamity. One thing is for certain, the damage Mayantli caused was great and devastating.

Remnants of its damage and power can still be found near the border between both of the sectors. A giant crater giving way to a ginormous cavernous system can be found there. Unfortunately, no one has been able to dwell deeper into the cavern. Only the surface of the crater can be examined. What remains there is high amounts of magical energy that seem cosmic in origin. A red, starry dust can be found all over the crater. Its effects are damaging. It infects the mind and slowly changes the appearance and demeanor of the one infected. They turn into wild beasts only wanting to devour anything in their path. They grow a couple inches and get skull-like patterns all over their bodies, all with a red, 4 pointed star in the middle. If this is only the effects of the most minimal from of its power, we are afraid of what could lie deeper into the cave.

Not only is its powers an enigma, but also its appearance. From the many archeological books we have, Mayantli was said to be larger than any god or goddess that have roam this planet. Its appearance is all over the place. Some books say it was a giant lizard-like entity, others say it looked like a two-headed bear, others a moth, others a strange mammal, and even others say it looked like being from the deep, dark sea. But all have one thing in common, and it is that Mayantli was as black as the void itself, had multiple fiery mouths filled with rows and rows of razor, sharp teeth, and had a red night, starry pattern all over it. The leaning hypothesis is that Mayantli was an amalgam of creatures today. The strange thing is that, seeing the ancient drawings and paintings of a bygone era, Mayantli resembled some of the Gods and their creations.

What is completely unknown is where it came from and why it looks so similar to many of the Gods today. Was Mayantli a cosmic being of unimaginable horrors that fell into the planet like a meteor, was it a byproduct of the Calamity, or was it sealed deep beneath the earth where no one will find it? These questions and many more remain unanswered. We also don’t exactly know what exactly happened to it. Yes, we do know it was defeated and consequently brought upon the New Age Gods, but what exactly happened to its essence and body? How exactly was Mayantli defeated, because if even the Elder Gods, the strongest Gods in existence, quivered before its might, how exactly was such a being defeated and wiped from the face of the earth? These Gods are the only ones who have the answer; no one else knows. And yet, they remain with their lips tightly sealed.

Mayantli is the largest mystery of the strange planet’s history. Many theories have come and gone, but the most recent comes from the readings of an ancient riddle. The riddle comes from an unknown author most likely after the defeat of Mayantli. The riddle is fragmented, but what we can decipher is a tale. Mayantli was split apart after its magic was used to create the Goddess of Shadows. Apperantly, there was still a lot remaining from it, even after the making of the goddess, and that her creation only took a tiny fraction part of its magic. Seeing in this, an entity, only referred to as the Great One or the One Above, split the remaining powers into 5 and distributed into 5 places where they will never be found. The riddle goes as follows:

One lies in the deathly hollow where seven tyrants follow,

One deep beneath the forbidden that’s forever hidden,

One in the deepest disorder that creates a border,

One in hunger of day and nights mights,

One in the deep slumber of the north,

There you will find the secrets of the earth.

A strange tale indeed which the locations it gives are still unknown. For now, that is all I will say.

Relation between the Eco nations

The Eco nations, or Ecosystem nations, are the nations governed by the Triad of Nature, the Goddess of Nature, the God of Soil, and the God of Rocks. These are Kananya, Onisona, and the Nahda Kingdom. Their gods are deeply related, as they were the first gods ever created and the ones that help form the various biomes and ecosystems we know today.

A notable aspect that unites these nations are not only their gods but their affinity with marking their bodies. Tattoos, face paints, and makeup are the methods used for adding markings to their bodies. Notably, there are some patterns that are seen on all 3 nations. These are:

Lines

Dots

Of course, they may have a different meaning in each of their culture, but the underlying message is still there. The markings are a representation of their beliefs, their backgrounds, their family, their social status, their profession, and other quirks of the person.

Each culture uses a different method for decorating their bodies. Kananyans mostly use tattoos, using a special fluid only found in the trees in the heart of the Blooming Plains and Blooming Forest. Onisonans prefer to use face paints made from the various pigmented crushed rocks found throughout their homeland. Nahdians prefer methods that aren’t permanent such as henna and makeup. The henna is a dye that comes from the henna tree, or the Nahdian flower. They also use this dye in order to stain their clothes. Nahdians are well known for their intricate eyeliner in their makeup.

Paxinovis

Paxinovis is the name of my fictional world. It is a planet made up of 4 continents, 2 poles, and 11 nations. The 4 continents are Ortan, also known as the Origin or Old World continent; Novan, or the New World continent; Omnipetus, or the continent of the One Above; and the Vulcan Isles, originally called the Pelean Islands.

This is a bit of an outdated map, but it’s the best I have

The 11 nations of this world are Kananya, Onisona, the Nahda Kingdom, Chromystal, Borghilanda, Ikaiha Island, Kairos, the Tlanex-Tli Empire, Jietian, the Frozen Territories, and Uzuma. Each of these serves under 1, sometimes 2, gods and their respective deities under their command.

Kananya, Onisona, the Nahda Kingdom, and Chromystal are all in the Ortan continent. Borghilanda, Kairos, Ikaiha Island, Kairós, the Tlanex-Tli Empire, Jietian, and the Frozen Territories are in the Novan continent. Uzuma is the entirety of Ominpetus, where the One Above resides. Lastly, the Vulcan Isles have no resident as it is completely uninhabitable due to an ancient curse.

Each of the nations are inspired by a certain culture in our world. I’ll be going in depth to their ecosystem, their culture, etc.

This is the updated map of the world given to me by a cartographer friend. It shows how the ecosystems are spaced, and the borders. I do like how it includes the 2 biggest forests in the world: the Grand Forest of Suphlatus that divides Kananya, Onisona, and the Nahda Kingdom, and the Rainforest of Seraphiel, also known as the Blooming Forest, dividing Kananya with Chromystal. Although, this one doesn’t contain all the important landmarks, buildings, or structures. Might need to get a map of the individual regions. Well, that’s all for now.

Godly Hierarchy

The Gods, like the mortals down below, have to abide by a hierarchy that not many know. Many of the younger gods don’t know, but the first few who were created learned rather quickly not to mess with the Ones Above.

At the top of this celestial hierarchy is the creator of not only the world but the universe itself, the Primordial Cosmos. A being that came from an era where there was no space, no time, just a white void and others like them. Next on the hierarchy are their children, the Celestials. The Celestials are 4, from oldest to youngest: Harmony, Order, Destruction, and Chaos. Each working on a balance and helping to create the world around them. Next up, are the Old Gods, the creations of Harmony. These are: the Goddess of Nature, the God of Soil, the God of Rocks, the God of Snow and Hunter, the Goddess of Ice and the Hunted, the God of Water and the Deep, the Goddess of Volcanoes, and the God of Seasons.

The next set are the New Gods, the creations of Order. These are: the God of Light, the Goddess of Shadows, the God of Winds, the Goddess of Electricity, and his 3 commanders: the Goddess of the Moon and Reflections, the God of the Stars and Protection, and the God of Galaxies and Observations. These last 3 are an exception to the rule, as they were given equal to greater powers than the Old Gods.

Deities are next, and they are the creations of the gods. It does not matter whether they were created by the Old Gods or the New Gods, they’ll still be considered as Deities. Some Deities are stronger than others. Their powers usually correlate with their affinity to the elements of their creator and their age. Deities treated are sometimes differently by their respective god. Some are treated as family, others as children, and others like lackeys or helpers.

Below the Deities are the Daemons or Daimons. These are descendents of Gods or Deities or the creations of Deities. Daemons are mortals that are able to use magic and are larger and more powerful than the average person. They also have a longer life span, usually being of around 150 years old and in some cases longer. Although they are distinct from anyone else, they are still active participants of society, and some have fully integrated into them. Some of the prominent members are the cehuayotls, the sugecoatls, the qilin, the cairanama and the 3 Grand Cazques, the lesser sphinx, the Qanik bugbears, and many more.

This is the godly hierarchy of the world of Paxinovis.
