i have this headcanon that percy and annabeth are raging accidental flirts. but not with each other. like. they'll go to the coffee shop on fifteenth street. and compliment the barista on his hair and clothes and tip really well. but only for him. and they have no idea this boy is absolutely swooning over them. or. each time they to go the bakery downtown. they take the time to converse with the waitress at the counter as they eat her homemade muffins. and are incredibly vocal about how she's their favorite server. and how much they enjoy seeing her. and suddenly they're the only two customers that can get her services for free. except, they just think she's like that with everyone.

Romantic Moments in HoO that I would like to experience irl :

Jason and Piper sneaking out and dancing on a rooftop, while looking at the stars and confessing their love for one another.

Probably sounds cheesy, but i want someone to take me flying with them like jason does for piper, even tho he did it to save her.

Jason and Reyna planning on going somewhere before he disappeared, i think it's just cute to have goals on where you want to travel in the future together.

Percy and Annabeth sneaking out to the horse/pegasus stable to have late night conversations and snuggle together until they accidentally fell asleep.

Frank and Hazel always supporting and being there for each other, like Frank even did some insane stuff just to save her from being permanently turned into a plant until he got Mars's blessing and became tall.

Always being in sync with one another like Percy and Annabeth are. The dagger and water fountain part, thats just goals.

Having someone come back for me like Leo did for Calypso, idk whether it counts as toxic or not but it sounds romantic to me.

Will understanding Nico and lowkey being okay with him for 'murder', + them flirting is just so cute.

Percy and Annabeth + Jason and Piper going on a date in an ancient city, exploring and just having fun.

I know it sounds like 'pick me girl' vibes or 'im not like other girls' vibes, but being able to be there for your loved one when they're on their weakest point just sounds really nice for me. or being able to calm someone down, *cough percabeth taking turns doing that when one of them are furious

Oh god, yes, definitely the second, just majorly crushing on each other and flirting through the game and finding excuses to text each other about the game and sit next to each other at the table. All the excuses. “Uh, I saw this d20 at Riordan’s and I thought you might like it, HERE TAKE IT,” and, “Grover gave me your number, I thought you might want to help with building a map? I’m going to the craft store if you want to come,” and, “I think I accidentally left my character stuff in your room, you mind if I swing by and pick it up?”

(Their local comic book store called Riordan’s, where Nico works and plays Mythomagic, and Rachel’s there all the time for various paints and models and she talks him into coming over for a game; and where Percy and Grover go for all their comics, and Annabeth likes their models, and it’s the best place. Comfy, worn chairs and almost too much stuff everywhere, and Chiron’s the manager, but nobody’s ever met the owner, the mysterious Riordan.)

And anyway like, all the touching? Just more excuses to touch?? Passing some d6 over ‘cause Annabeth never has enough dice~ (“just because I don’t have an entire two bags of dice, whatever Percy, hand them over”) and grabbing for each other during a tense moment oh my god Clarisse is about to get so dead hold my hand~ and leaning in to whisper to each other when a stupid decision is made and Annabeth kind of puts her lips on his ear when she whispers and Percy fucks up his next roll ‘cause he can’t really think ‘cause her LIPS~ and Annabeth smacking her hand down on his knee when he can’t quit jiggling it under the table~

Rachel keeps giving Oceanus and Pallea opportunities to be together~ like trapping them in close spaces~ and oh no there’s a blizzard guess you gotta Share a Bedroll for Warmth™~ and you’re facing CERTAIN DOOM underneath a VOLCANO and a bunch of telekhines are coming for you and what are you gonna do, what--what WHAT NO YOU DON’T HAVE TO ROLL TO KISS HIM JUST DO IT AAH
