If your 'convenience' meals have to go in the oven (already outrageous) and you have to completely remove the film cover and it doesn't come off in one go?
People should be allowed to hunt you for sport

man telling someone who’s mildly annoyed at something you did that they must be tired ranks up there with telling someone they’re upset
there is no winning at that point as no matter what you say makes them feel correct in their judgement

It's always "Shou and Ritsu need to blow stuff up with their minds for mental health reasons" or Ritsu and Teru or even Shou and Teru!
But what about Mob? When does he get to blow stuff up with his mind for funsies? For shits and giggles? He didn't go through all of those meltdowns and character development for nothing, let him go ham on a junkyard car or something smh
I believe in Mob's narrative given right to fuck shit up sometimes

For the three sentence fic... Silrah + fake dating/marriage pretty please 💜
Well ... I was going to write just the one, but I can't pick between them, so have a stab at each? 💙 It was so tempting to write one of these as a canon AU but I felt like that would have been cheating. 😂
Fake Dating:
She knows she gives herself away as soon as the familiar manse looms into view, though she’s pretty sure Saul would have known even absent the reflexive tightening of her fingers on his arm with how long they’ve been friends, even if he gives no sign of the pain he must feel at her death-grip, just shifting so his shoulder knocks companionably against hers in silent acknowledgement and sympathy; when she loosens her hand once more he slips his arm free, and she thinks he’ll move away but he only slides it around her waist instead, palm curving warm and solid and reassuring over her hip, and her startle this time has nothing to do with memories of a life she’d gladly walked away from suddenly slamming into her with the weight of all of her years away.
“Alright?” he murmurs, voice near as warm as his touch, and some of the tension ratcheting through her eases as she is reminded of why she’d asked him to come with her, the easy comfort of his presence steadying her in a way no one else can — why, in a moment she does and does not regret already, she’d added and could you pretend to be my boyfriend?, when it meant he could not only accompany her for what promises to be an excruciating family reunion but stay close, just like this, through all that she knows awaits her.
There’s a world she’s not ready to face again behind that imposing front door, but she’s got him at her side, and they’re armed with a pretence she hopes will prevent at least some of the questions she wants to avoid, and so the smile she offers him is less forced than fond; with that, surely she can weather anything the day throws at her, and so she just threads her fingers into his belt loop and leans closer still to murmur an affirmative as they start up the stairs.
Fake Marriage:
“I don’t believe you,” he persists, and Farah rolls her eyes, surreptitiously searching for an exit as she does so; inconsiderately, none appears, and she damns again the distraction that left her backed into a literal corner by a man just drunk enough to belligerently call out the ring she wears to fend off most would-be partners when she just wants a relatively quiet night of drinking — a ring that has done her more harm than good this evening, when it’s been the cause of what is shaping up to be an ugly altercation.
A hand settles on his shoulder; a face dimly familiar looms in shadow behind him, and her frown clearly telegraphs enough because he turns, ready to protest further, only to be pushed out of the way. “Farah, love,” her unexpected saviour says as he extends his other hand her way, and she’s suddenly more grateful for the support of the wall at her back than his intervention as she recognises dark hair and pale eyes and that self-deprecating smile, properly registers the even more familiar voice, and a past long dead floods back, “I wondered where you’d gotten to.”

very little is funnier to me than anakin having absolutely no clue that cody hates him, but one thing that scores higher is cody continuing to hate vader for extremely petty reasons after order 66

what do you think abt engineer and scout potentially having a sort of weird father/son bond? like scout is desperately seeking approval from all of these older male figures in his life (like. canonically) and i think dell's actually nice & aware enough to give that to him
You know, engineer being a sort of paternal figure/having that sort of personality has fallen out of public favor lately (at least from the recent posts I’ve seen here and there) but I think it’s fun!! I think ideally it works best when it’s not a one to one dynamic of “father and son.” I think it’s more like… scout and his weird uncle/old man friend (he’s in his 40s) that is very aware of how desperate scout is for the approval of an authoritative male figure and is trying to be encouraging. In their own strange way! also just in general I think they would get along. Like. Idk. I think Engie is one of the few of the mercs who can knock some sense into scout without scout immediately recoiling and trying to fight for dominance. Mostly because he’s less condescending toward Scout and moreso just straightforward. He might call him “boy” if he’s mad at him but he can’t be bothered to be too frustrated by most of his antics. Just sets a standard! The standard is that if scout shows up and starts yapping nonstop without warning he has a chance of getting kicked out of the workshop, or if scout tries to touch a busted sentry that’s currently being repaired the responsibility to haul himself to medic after accidentally getting shot is on his shoulders!

Like the thing is, eventually in your life you will have some amount of power over someone and they will make it very inconvenient for you and at that time, it will be extremely hard to be patient with them and you won't always succeed but it's still really important because autonomy is a right not a privilege and you need to not try to withhold autonomy just because someone is awful and yes I mean "actively the worst". That's still a person and using your power to hurt them is still punching down

I dunno man i feel like I would like the Crosshair & Omega dynamic a lot more if the writers weren’t constantly sidelining the other members of the batch and their relationships with Omega to make it work better. A lot of the “crossdad” moments are cute and all, but they heavily mirror interactions she’s had with other members of the bad batch and as such don’t stand out as much as they otherwise could. The being mistaken for her dad thing happened already with Hunter in s2. Copying his movements and mannerisms is something she does with all her brothers and even Phee. The bit in the most recent episode where he annoys her with questions is both explicitly compared to Hunter’s dynamic with her and very similar to a conversation she had with Hunter and Echo all the way back in s1. Meanwhile, Wrecker is only really going where the plot needs him to, Echo’s banished to the shadow realm, and Hunter’s been sidelined so hard that a dog is now outperforming him at the thing he was literally created to do. It’s not like these writers haven’t pulled something like this off before: s2 managed to expand on Omega and Tech’s relationship in a very touching way and still gave her plenty of good moments with the others, so I’m really wondering why it feels like they’re struggling to develop Crosshair and Omega without reducing the others to bit characters.

A Vision came to me.
Based on Batman Beyond DCAU universe but. I could see Dick or Tim doing this.
A Flying Super - my brain goes to the 2023 film Supergirl but any of those Floating Metropolis jerks - goes to the Wayne Corporate Building.
Because apparently, someone is trying to hire Neo Batman to fight the Justice League. And they want to send a message to Bruce Wayne to get to his dark counterpart.
But Bruce doesn't come out. It's his assistant, Terry Mcginnis.
The Super is floating above Terry's sightline and he has to crane his neck and yell.
Terry tries to invite them to sit on the balcony but they just insist on staying up in the air.
Terry groans, puts his finger up to make them pause. Then he climbs up the building and perches on a ledge to keep talking.
And that's it. Terry doing his best gargoyle impression while chewing out someone who is defying gravity.

This is probably going to make me sound like the most insufferable person in the world, but the trendiness and subsequent Americanization of macarons makes me so mad, haha. Let's take something unique and delicate but make it tacky and BLAND and only in the same flavors we're already used to! 😀🙃😠
