I would like to invoke birthday trivia if I could? Do you have anything on Phage, The Untouchable?
I designed the card mechanics for Phage in a vacuum. Then the character of Phage came along, and I said, “I got this!”
Happy Birthday!

Cards I’ve picked up from Unfinity!
So, Unfinity is fully spoiled. Unlike other Un-sets, this one has cards that can be played in eternal formats like Commander or Legacy (and Vintage, but who even remembers Vintage?).
Most of these legal cards are kinda bad. They have to do with stickers, attractions, and dice rolling. I won’t throw any shade on people who like these mechanics, but they just aren’t for me. There are a few cards that were printed that ARE for me, though, so I thought I’d share my thoughts.
The first one is the most obvious, and the one that everyone has been talking about since the first spoilers for the set hit: Saw in Half
This is a great card. I am going to cast this card on a lot of creatures, and those creatures will almost never be my opponent’s. There are corner cases, like sawing in half your opponent’s Phage the Untouchable to kill them, but this spell is meant to be cast on your own side of the board.
I’m gonna copy Soul Wardens. I’m gonna copy Avengers of Zendikar. I’m gonna copy Eternal Witness and use one of the copies to get back my Saw in Half.
The best part? The creature doesn’t get exiled, it just dies. Modern templating would usually just exile the creature (for flavor reasons) but Saw in Half? Saw in Half doesn’t care if you Reanimate the creature you just ripped in two.
A final note for all of these: we don’t know when if ever WOTC will reprint them. They’re very stingy with reprinting good cards from supplemental products, so if you see anything that looks useful to you from Unfinity, I would pick it up sooner rather than later.

So what was this other world Charly lost?
Greetings Anon ^^
Charly did not loose a world, but rather, a civilization, their very own they had founded.
In ancient times, Charly, who had a different name back then, traveled the world saw the wonders of states and cities from Egypt, Babylonia, Sumer, Elam, the Akkadian Empire, the Inka, Aztecs, Maya etc. etc. and seeing their cultures and what they have created, the intelligent virus in disguise had a vision.
They too wanted to establish such a civilization, with them as leader, who would create an empire of prosperity, inspired by those and many other states and empires.
And Charly did, they really managed to found and establish their own civilization, which I assume, was somewhere in the Middle East.
Everything was fine, with the virus from another realm helping the people who began to gather around their settlement, and the land began to prosper, discovering many things, other civilizations had not, Charly even thought the people under their guidance, a special kind of magic, how they could use their own blood for spells.
However, at one point, Charly traveled to another nation, for trading, diplomatic talks but also to get inspiration for their own, continuously growing state.
When they returned, everything was gone.
Many people were dead, and everything Charly had helped built, was destroyed, not one stone was left untouched.
This of course, completely devastated them, for they saw the people they led, as a family, and now most of them were gone.
It did not take long for Charly, to find out what had happened, the air still reeked from its smell.
An eldritch monster, the ones the virus was supposed to hunt, had caused the death, chaos and destruction.
So in their anger, Charly used what their kind has adapted to do, over the eons they have existed.
In the ruins of their palace/temple, the intelligent phage virus, lured the eldritch monster in, by mimicking the voice of another eldritch entity, making the monster curious, and before it knew what was happening to it, Charly attacked.
The battle was though, and the virus was close, to inject their DNA into the eldritch monster, which would have resulted in its death, but of course Charly's as well, however, the virus could not have cared less in the moment, they just wanted it to be dead, for everything it had done to them and their land.
But, before they could do it, the monster broke free and fled.
Charly vowed, that if they would ever see it again, they would not hesitate, to kill the eldritch being.
After that, Charly was too saddened and afraid, to establish a new civilization, and with nearly to no traced left, it was forgotten by history and they decided only, to observe and not to intervene again.
Yours sincerely
Bowler
