SAVE THE PINEWOOD, SAVE THE PLANET!

In Viareggio and in Versilia (Tuscany), a large pinewood park and a beach of great beauty and tourist-environmental relevance have long been threatened by a series of senseless and despotic political choices (concrete "penetration axis" with the demolition of dozens of trees, invasive cycle path in wildlife oasis, planned construction of military installation…).

The pine forest rebels and asks you to send your postcard on the theme "Save the pinewood, save the planet!". The work will be made available to visitors of the Giak Verdun Popular Museum of the Pinewood during the actions and events of the summer 2022, in the form of a temporary exhibition and / or free distribution, with a series of free postcards produced in small circulation and available in a special exhibitor installed in the park.

Send your work in good resolution jpg file to the email [email protected] or in hard copy (one copy or small print runs) to the address: Vittore Baroni, Via C. Battisti 339, 55049 Viareggio, LU, Italy. Include your name and e-mail address in the postcard to receive project documentation. Deadline: 30 September 2022.

Purtroppo in Ungeria la situazione é piú pesante delle circostanze italiane perché Viktor Orban ha cambiato da poco la qualificazione delle tutte le foreste cosi in Ungheria ogni albero é legna da fuoco. Questa disposizione é valida anche nei parchi nazionali!

Spero che la mia 'spedizione' arriverá in tempo.

Bekapcsolódtam egy toszkán mail art projektbe, amit egy olyan versiliai fenyőerdő ill. tengerpart megmentésért indítottak, melyet mindenféle beruházásokkal veszélyeztetnek. Nem is tudom, honnan ismerősek ezek a helyzetek... A fakivágások ellen a jelek szerint ott is küzdeni kell. A projekt gazdája, Vittore Baroni több alkalommal is szerzője volt a Leopold Bloom Assemblage folyóiratnak.
