Prologue

—Almirante Salazar— shouted Officer Alejandro in his Spanish accent and in a bad mood. Armando gave him a sidelong glance and then turned to the officer. —Hombre, de tan buen humor como siempre," whispered Lesaro, causing Armando to half smile. —Yes, sir," he answered, getting off the boat. —Your majesty, the king requests to see you immediately," informed the officer.

Armando nodded and then turned his gaze to Lesaro if the king requested to see him it meant that something had happened, something urgent enough that required his presence "perfect" he thought just now that he had decided to go to Port Royal to look for Annie Turner. The moment he entered the huge, elegant salon he heard the king's voice shouting angrily.

—Nonsense!" his majesty uttered. —King George I has ordered the total withdrawal of the army. In less than a year they have had terrible losses, your majesty. They have lost more than one hundred and fifty ships and trade has been terribly affected. Many do not want to pass through Port Royal. —His Majesty Admiral Salazar is here," reported the officer, bowing to the king. —Excellent, let him enter. Lesaro was surprised why usually whenever he spoke to the king he always came back in a lousy mood. —What happened, hombre," asked Lesaro. —We have to leave immediately for Port Royal, hombre," he exclaimed getting on the ship as fast as his feet would allow him to, —the king himself has sent us to Port Royal," Lesaro couldn't help but smile to see the captain so happy and in a good mood. Since Annie had saved them with the help of Calypso in the tomb of Poseidon, Lesaro decided that life was too short to live it alone and it was there where he met Josephine, a beautiful and distinguished young woman of middle class whom he had married. —What is going on in Port Royal," asked Lesaro.

—According to what he explained to me, his majesty, the king of England has decided to withdraw all the armed forces from Port Royal and his majesty wants to recover the port that has fallen into pirate hands. —Captain, if Miss Turner is in Port Royal…" Lesaro did not finish his words when he immediately shouted, —¡Todos a sus puestos de inmediato!
