My planner cover from the extremely talented Atticus Finch NZ finally arrived! Absolutely over the moon in love with this planner cover!!!! I'm so excited to own something from them!! I have been adoring their work from afar for many years now and finally decided to purchase a piece.

The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the design is cuter than I could have even envisioned. I'm obsessed with these little rat tail closures! 💝🐱🐀 It's so precious and beautiful. This is definitely an heirloom quality planner book cover, and a true piece of art as well, which is exactly what I knew I'd be getting from Atticus Finch. You can tell they not only have attention to detail, but the most creative sense for textile art that one can have. So very happy with this lovely piece.

They also have very precious handmade costumes for children and adults, and other lovely pieces in their shop. I'm dying to buy the little soldier nutcracker costume or the rat costume. 😍 Omg, I just love the style of their work soooo much.

I enjoyed reading the listing for my planner, how it was made and what materials were used, so I included the description from the shop here:

---- "materials: tea dyed linen, vintage cottons, velvet, cotton fleece fabric, vintage lace, embroidery floss, vintage buttons, vintage ribbons, interfacing.

this diary cover is made from vintage materials. i have used linen for the outer, which was originally white, i have dyed the linen by soaking in a black tea solution, to give an aged, antique look.

the front cover has a whimsical scene of a kitten sitting on a book, after drinking milk. all stitching is done free style by hand to give a tactile feel. the back cover has little mice and the saying " when the cat's away the mice will play". this piece of linen has tatted lace windows which i have backed with a liberty cotton print to give a stained glass effect.

inside there are pockets layered for keeping everything sorted. the fabrics create a storybook scene with houses and landscape, hill, fields etc.

the cover is lightly padded with a piece of cotton fleece, and the lining interfacing.

ribbons for page keepers. vintage buttons for weight at the ends. to close, velvet ties, mouse tail style.

sized for the hobonichi A5 planner diary, with plenty of room to accommodate extra thickness, pages, etc.
