Since there has been some legitimate concern and some out-of-pocket concern (seriously, it's like people don't realize that Amazon, while being lax when it comes to their animated productions, isn't quick to slam the Content ID hammer), let me just say:
As someone who paid for early access to the first two episodes of Hazbin Hotel, I will not be posting or sharing anything from them until the series premieres proper on the 19th.
So no gifsets, no write-ups -- literally, the only thing I may say is a 'you guys are in for a surprise' depending on how the first two episodes go.

Mid-week teeny tiny giveaway just because. In this round, the winner will receive:
-ONE Winter Garden Theatre Playbill (Centennial Edition - April 1984)
-ONE London Showbill (July 2000)
-THREE Volume 1 Shiki Secret Character Charms (Growltiger, Griddlebone and Sillabub)
-TWO Shiki Round Two Volume 2 Character Charms (Rumpleteazer and Bustopher Jones)
-ONE Macavity trading card from Osaka (2001 - 2003)
RULES (Please read these carefully and follow them):
Entries will open today (JUNE 21st give or take the midnight mail) and will close JUNE 28th - in one week. You can enter at any time between now and then, but anything after than date will not be counted.
ONE entry per person - when you reblog THIS post, you will be assigned a random number, and the receiver will be picked by a random generator. Likes do not count as entries. You do not need to be following in order to enter. Multiple reblogs will not give you a higher chance - we want to make it fair for everyone. Entry doesn’t guarantee receiving, please play fair!
Shipping within North America will be easier for me, but I am willing to open this up to individuals overseas. HOWEVER, if you are picked and you are overseas, I would very much appreciate you going in half on any shipping/postage charges if they are ridiculous (and sometimes they are). Any import fees will most likely settle on the receiver, so please keep that in mind.
Obviously, you must be alright with providing me with shipping information - rest assured you will be providing me this information in confidence and I will not share it with anyone. If you are not comfortable sharing this information, that’s completely alright, but please do not enter as I won’t be able to send it to you.
A winner will be selected on June 29th, and will receive a message indicating that they’re getting a present. I will try to get it shipped out to you as soon as I can afterwards, and give an update once that happens.
I will do my absolute best to ensure the items arrive to the winner, but once it’s handed over to the post office, it’s unfortunately out of my hands.

There’s a cream-coloured sheet of Juilliard stationary slotted between the next two pages: the itinerary for his audition process that February. The Boston Conservatory had been his top pick since middle school, but his Alma mater offered him a full scholarship he’d be crazy to refuse. It’d hurt like hell - being so close and yet so far - and when his father let slip Oliver was transferring to Yale the following semester, there’d been a definite sense of relief.
The envelope it came in is stapled to the back of the invite, and as Elio leafs through the various mementoes of his trip -
A wrinkled playbill from La Tragedie de Carmen.
The generic postcard of the World Trade Center he’d picked up from a market in Lower Manhattan.
Three Carnegie hall ticket stubs for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra he’d saved from their last night -
- he wonders how close he might’ve come to bumping into Oliver on some random street corner.
There’s one more item in the envelope - a Xeroxed copy of Larry Kramer’s essay, 1,121 and Counting - and Elio knows he’s lucky to be sitting here in his health after the risks he’d taken his first two years of college. He’d lost himself somewhere - and not just between the legs of the willing. The meaningless, drug-fuelled fucks he’d sought in the opulence of Saint and the Pyramid Club. It was the hunt he’d lived for, amidst those seas of half-naked bodies. The ego boost. The opportunity to prove himself desirable. To affirm his worth. And it didn’t matter that his satisfaction was fleeting in those tawdry back room encounters. That the cock in his mouth wasn’t quite thick enough. Or the hands tugging his curls were paint-stained instead of ink.
Fun was fun. Until suddenly it wasn’t.

Every time I catch a glimpse of how much the ‘Ultimate Package’ costs (minus shipping, of course), I can’t help but think of all the more useful and fulfilling things that amount could buy you.
It could be a chunk towards a deposit on a house or a car, it could be a mini trip away or a nice restaurant meal, it could be a worthwhile treat… but instead your money is buying you really busy-looking pins, cheaply printed trading cards/playbill and a keyring that probably cost ten Cents to make in China.
Oh, that and early episodes that will likely be leaked/only release a week before the general release date anyway. Not worth it! Not with Ho Ho Ho season right around the corner either!
- Taxidermy Anon
Gotta be honest with you Taxidermy Anon, when I think of the people enthusiastically paying over 100 dollars for the cheapest, ugliest pins Vivzie's ever made, my first thought isn't "saves for a house/car" or "saves for mini trips or outings to nice restaurant" or "goes outside."

back when i was like .. a theatre kid , i collected playbills … maybe only mack will remember me from that time but i’d buy them and trade them and annoyingly win them in giveaways and get them signed at shows and everything … and i’m reading arian moayed’s wiki bc i miss stewy and i read he was nominated for a tony for bengal tiger at the baghdad zoo in 2011 .. then im like wait … for christmas 2015 or so i definitely got an older playbill as a gift bc robin williams was in it and it had tiger in the title … low and behold .. arian moayed playbill in my bedroom i’m holding it now … it’s not signed or anything but still very cool esp since it’s over a decade old idk how likely you’d be to find one now

the alchemy of theater
Sometimes I wish I were still backstage, whispering in the dark to friends in wigs and costumes. The anticipation of waiting in the wings is like a rollercoaster going click click click up the hill to the first drop. The theater is our temple, the audience the congregation, the stage the altar, and the actors the sacrifice. We live and die in every way so the people watching don’t have to, reciting lines like prayers and transcending from the real world into one of sacred imagination.
Actors have nothing to lose but their dignity, and thus everything is at stake. We shed the skin of awkward adolescence to become witches and revolutionaries, gangsters and pirates. We are artists crafting masterpieces and children playing pretend. This is the transmutation of performance, the alchemy of theater. Every production is a Magnum Opus where we achieve immortality for one night.
The show is more than the sum of its parts, every participant made holy and powerful through association. I look at a playbill and say I’m a part of that, not a cog in a machine, but a star in a galaxy. It is here that we defy gravity, dream the impossible dream, and learn that to love another person is to see the face of God.
The curtain opens, and we enter a new place of unreality. Girls with voices too big for their bodies sing alongside boisterous young men who dance the same way they fight, ungraceful but enthusiastic. There is energy in live performance that can’t be replicated on camera. The audience and the actors rub up against each other, creating sparks. By the time we reach the climax, we are a blazing pyre.
We stand in a line across the stage, hand in hand, with hearts thumping and bones vibrating under the skin. It is time to take our final bow. In doing so, we pledge fealty to the audience, to the nobility watching us in the dark. We stand upright once again, and stare right back at them, both devastated and relieved that the show is over. We have given everything of ourselves for this, traded it all for applause. When the curtain closes, we collapse into each other’s arms, all laughter and tears.
Now we are life, creators of worlds.

Hi! I found out about closing from your post and at first thought that was some old news but then I realised and cried for like 15 minutes 🫠 I’ve been in this fandom for 3 years and i have a Russian blog about Beetlejuice (there’s actually quite a lot of fans of this musical in Russia 🙃) and I know I probably would never have a chance to see Beetlejuice live but it became such an important part of my life so it’s just heartbreaking to see these news. At this point I just don’t understand why this happened and can fans do anything about it😔 I’m also wondering what will happen with fan art mural. My art got there and it made me extremely happy cause at least some part of my love for this show will be there on broadway but now I think they will take it all down and it makes me even more sad :( Thanks for listening (I really like your blog btw🤗)
i am,,, so sorry you had to learn it from me 😭 it literally did not occur to me in the moment other people have lives and might not have heard yet.
i had no idea it has such a big Russian fanbase!! that makes me so happy!!!! there are few things i love more than hearing about this show’s reach both on a widespread level and an individual level. i feel awful you won’t get to see the show on broadway but i’m just so glad it found you at all and affected your life the way it did 💜
i’ll miss the fanart wall and really feel for everyone whose art won’t get to live there anymore, but i’m also so happy for you that you were able to have a small piece of you at the theater even for a limited time.
obviously i’m incredibly sad this show’s run is coming to an end, but i’m also fully aware how lucky i am to have gotten the experiences with this show i have and just focusing on staying grateful. my heart really goes out to the fans without the ability to see it before closing. at the very least i get to remind people in the U.S. about the national tour (and people in the UK about the rumored West End transfer) but for other fans like you i hate not being able to do anything so i’m playing around with a few small ideas for making the show as accessible as is within my power:
my friend runs a playbill exchange program where people can donate unwanted/extra playbills or get playbills they want for FREE (just pay shipping). there are tons of different beetlejuice playbills currently in stock, you can find them on twitter at @ programXchange
i also have so many extra playbills from all different stages of the show from the last four years, i’m thinking of running a giveaway soon closer to the show’s final performance
i’m currently working on sifting through my collection of bootlegs and audios to find the ones i’m able to share publicly or trade (according to the boot owner’s wishes) to compile them all into one google doc that every fan will be free to access
i’m also working on creating a shareable resource that i’ll be constantly updating with any and all ticket discounts, deals, and lotteries for people who can’t afford a full price ticket
if anyone has more ideas or would like to contribute to any of these feel free to reach out!
i sincerely and genuinely really hope you get to visit the show someday, in any capacity. everyone deserves to 🖤

Omg
Beetlejuice was so good 😭
So much fun
My brain is soup otherwise I would try to recall all the tweaks but maybe they'll come to me later
LOOKIT ALL THE LOOT
Tumblr media
I grabbed some streamers and noticed that people were leaving the playbills behind. I know people trade them around so I grabbed a bunch! THERE WAS A WHOLE STACK UNDER A SEAT. I didn't even grab the whole stack. I left a few for other looters 😅 I came across the occassional streamer and wound them round my wrists on my way
I bought a big and little sippy cup. I found another on the ground. I did have a moment of hesitation like. "..Do I want to risk covid for another souvenir?"
The answer was yes. Yes I do. 🤣 I'm not licking it anytime soon, so whatever. Those things were 9 bucks a pop. Cheap for a souvenir but, y'know.
I wanted a mug but they wanted $30. Holy crap. $15, sure, but jeebus. New York is ridiculous.
So happy 🥺 Even though it took us 2 buses, a metro, 6.5 hours in the freezing rain and my stupid body trying to fall apart.. so worth it. 😭
The other day I asked dad if he had watched the clips I put together for him to garner interest. He said it was "just a play" to him. 😦
But I asked after the show and he said he enjoyed it and gave me a hug. He laughed at "The pooch has been screwed and the shit's hit the fan" and at some point he laughed recalling the artwork in Charles' bedroom. and the skeletons' "huhhhh?!" 💀🤣

This is probably an incredibly stupid question, so my apologies. I am very new to the POTO fandom, all these practices of trading audio and video, etc. My question is, do you ever do trades for anything else? Art is something that I can do, getting recordings and videos however, not so much. But I am so in love with this musical, I'd love to get to share with everyone somehow. :-)
Welcome!
Besides audios/videos, I’ve seen people trade for Playbills, brochures, etc. But most of the time if people want art or souvenirs from the show they’ll purchase it from eBay, Etsy, RedBubble, etc.
I’m sure there are people who would be open to trading art for recordings with you, but it’s not something I see often. But there are traders who sell audios/videos so if you charge for your art you can in turn use that money to buy some recordings!
