POV Update! Introducing (more of) The Main Cast!

Lucas and Kyle spend the majority of the series going on otherworldly adventures with their immediate group of friends.

Clara Mahoe

Clara is shy. moody, and depressed most of the time. She typically goes along on adventures because laying in bed all day gets boring, and because of her intense crush on Lucas.

Kyle is the only person she’ll open up to about her feelings, seeing him as her best friend. Her weapon is a retractable pole that turns into a hammer, that her now deceased mom gave to her.

Ava Mahoe

Ava is cheerful, kind, intelligent, and helpful, but suffers from crippling anxiety.

She is on the autism spectrum but hasn’t been officially diagnosed yet. To cope with her daily existential crises, she forcefully wedges herself into situations in order to provide help and keep herself distracted.

She and Kyle are kinda sorta dating, Her weapon of choice is her boomerang collection given to her by her dad, a former military officer who was stationed in Australia, when and where Clara and Ava were born.

Lee Young

Young is a hopeless romantic with abandonment issues. He lives in an orphanage, but has his own room, on account of everyone being afraid of him. You see, despite being extremely smart, kind, and morally straight, Young has extremely low self-esteem that manifests itself by causing him to explode with anger.

When angry, Young gains the strength of 20 men and typically goes on a Hulk-like rampage before calming down and realizing what he’s done. The entire gang loves him, and are actively seeking coping mechanisms for his condition.

His weapon of choice is his hands. Gang gang.

Kaleb Santiago

Kaleb is the rebel with a cause of the group. While everyone else’s moral compass skews towards good, Kaleb is somewhere in the middle.

He comes from a broken home. His father abandoned him as a child, his mother is physically and verbally abusive and praises his older sister Karmen as an example of “what a good kid is” He has extreme self-doubt, to the point where he quits most things halfway because he’s afraid of embarrassing himself with a terrible final product. He believes he’s talentless, despite The Gang noticing his extreme love and knowledge of cars and machines. His weapon of choice is his bookbag, that he swings as a flail.

The Full Main Cast of PointOfView!!!!

POV is about a community of characters, human and Nonhuman, living in a blended community that’s currently experiencing culture shock as more and more magic and science fantasy sneaks it’s way into their “normal” everyday lives. Unintentionally leading this movement is Lucas and Kyle, two twins who, despite appearing human, possess supernatural, energy-based powers, making them Nonhumans.

Following them on their adventures is their group of human friends, their younger human siblings with an knack for causing otherworldly chaos, their parents who deal with everyday situations that usually end up in some kind of fantastical adventure, and their rival/cousin Brad Mackpherson, a machine building “Mecha-Maester,” and his hapless team of a sassy, shapeshifting robot made of nanotechnology named Bethanie, a British hacker named Balthazar and a French-Canadian chemist affectionately named “Pizza Face” (on account of him looking like a slice of pizza and his name being Pete Za’Vaiseé)

Kaleb Santiago (White/Platinum hair, Big Ass Ears)

Lee (Young) Young (Green Hair, Strong Eyebrow Game)

Lucas and Kyle spend most of the series going on adventures with this lot, simply dubbed “The Gang”

Whether they’re breaking into the afterlife, traveling to magical amusement parks hidden inside the Great Pyramids of Giza, or just hanging out, these 6 always have each other’s backs through thick and thin.

We’ll learn more about these 4 later on and the pivotal role they play in the series. POV is a project in constant development so be sure to follow for more updates! :)

POV UPDATE!

Each main character in PointOfView has their own symbol with its own meaning. Lucas is the Shooting Star and Kyle is the Diamond in the Rough, but what about their best friends? What are their symbols? Well...

Kaleb, having an absentee father and abusive mother, hides his perceived lack of self-worth with his boisterous bravado and “cool guy” attitude. He is represented by a Growing Tree.

Clara, battling with depression and still coping with the loss of her mother, often withdraws from society to be alone and mope. She is represented by a Blank Heart.

Ava, dealing with debilitating anxiety and being the eldest twin, feels a responsibility to push her own feelings to the side and be a mother-figure not only to her sister Clara, but to her entire friend group. She is represented by a Buckeye Seed.

Young, the orphan, deals with self-hatred and extreme loneliness. Despite this, he still believes in love and actively pursues relationships, only to be rejected over and over again. He is represented by a thorned rose. He is The Flower.

As the series progresses, we’ll see how their symbols directly play into their character arcs.
