Darksteel's wings

In most of the movie Predacons Rising, you see Darksteel's wings folded up. They look very small but they actually change a lot when he flies. It's just not shown very well and you have to catch him at certain moments. Even the concept art doesn't fully show it.

Darksteel actually has a lot of feathers! It reminds me of a long crow's wing. See how his wings extend and have three joints. Skylynx is the one with the smallest wings in reality!

I'd like to think that after Optimus sacrificed himself, he didn't go straight to the Realm of the Primes.

I'd like to think that he went to the Afterlife and reunited with Alpha Trion and Elita-One and everyone else.

He would tell them that they won and the entire Afterlife would cheer and have a big celebration and Optimus could have fun for once.

The opposite mood of these bookends...! The storyboarding told in the colors of the scenes and posture of the characters...! (I'm not crying, you're crying) Warning, this is a long post. ;) I have a lot to say about the Cee Bee Siblings and the storyboarding of Transformers: Prime! I already fell in love with the first Cee Bee bookends I noticed earlier in "Darkness Rising Part 1," as well as earlier in "Predacons Rising." Discovering those bookends made me want to search for more, and I'm delighted to find these ones here. This particular pair of bookends above will always be one of my favorites. It's beautiful how many times Arcee and Bumblebee share a glance in Transformers: Prime. You just know from how often they look at each other, and the moments wherein they look at each other, that they share a long history with all the sharp secondhand embarrassment; snarky, sassy teasing; and silly inside jokes that come packaged with a close relationship. The opposing contexts that bring Arcee and Bumblebee to glance at each other in these bookends here are fascinating.

Prior to both these snapshots, Team Prime was engaged in a hectic, draining battle directly linked to death.

In "Darkness Rising Part 1," at the beginning of TFP, Arcee was grieving the recent loss of Cliffjumper when she got caught in a scuffle with Eradicons, a scuffle into which Bumblebee and Bulkhead then jumped to help her out. In "Predacons Rising," at the end of TFP, Team Prime was grieving the immediate loss of Optimus, upon learning that he willingly merged the Matrix of Leadership and therefore his own spark with the Allspark. In the first situation, Bumblebee and Arcee have a tough time battling the Eradicons. Exhaustion from grief, the distraction of the unplanned spectating humans, and other factors take a toll on their fighting. Despite the fact that the battle is 2 vs 2, and despite the fact that Arcee and Bumblebee are usually a highly efficient team, the Cee Bee Siblings are locked in a stalemate with their opponents, until Bulkhead (belatedly) shows up and the Eradicons (wisely) choose to skedaddle. Once the Eradicons leave, Bumblebee hunches over to catch his breath, and Arcee dryly shoots up at Bulkhead, "What took you?" to which Bulkhead replies, "Traffic." At this, Arcee and Bumblebee share a look, their first shared glance of many in the series, and the scene ends. While this "Traffic" joke is amusing to the audience (who knows full well what it's like to be stuck in traffic), I don't think Arcee and Bumblebee's reaction was tied to the humor beyond the fourth wall. Rather, what I see here between them is a glance of relief mingled with grief. After all, if Team Prime hadn't been delayed earlier, whether by traffic or otherwise, they would have been able to save Cliffjumper from death. In the second situation, Team Prime has just listened to Optimus Prime's farewell before his final flight, directly into the Well of All Sparks. While they stand on the edge of the Well, hundreds of lights, new sparks, burst forth, scattering like fireworks as new life at last returns to the once-desolate Cybertron. Team Prime stares, awed at the spectacle, until one especial spark catches their notice—a spark that dances above them, glowing with blue and red, while Optimus' voiceover closes the cinematic storybook that is Transformers: Prime. Only then—only then—do Arcee and Bumblebee look at each other. Where once grief over Optimus' passing darkened their faces, now, in their expressions, there is simply joy. Joy for the new beginning of which Optimus speaks. Joy for the knowledge that while death is an ending, death is not the end. Joy for the freedom they've found, for the war they've won, for the peace they've protected. No more do their wings droop from weariness; no, their wings stay upraised and alert. Gone is the exhaustion that once clouded their eyes; now, there is only light. In place of the frowns that they once held, smiles grace their faces. Though once they stood under the dusk of Earth, a striking symbolism for the darkness rising, now, instead, on Cybertron, they catch the glow of the brilliant sparks above, illuminated by the very future they fought so hard to see. Both these bookends were touched by death and grief beforehand. But the beauty of the contrast, the hope that shines in TFP, is that no matter how deep the tragedy, no matter how dark the hour, the ending will always be brighter than the beginning. Life has returned to Cybertron. Peace has ended the war. It's truly amazing to me how the very spark of Transformers: Prime can be encapsulated in something as simple as two passing glances between Bumblebee and Arcee.

I want to know if he struggled with all the mushy Autobot rhetoric and kindness, and maybe fought against it.

I want to know if he was forced to shadow Ratchet as a sort of probation to make sure he wasn’t still “a naughtycon bad boy with the emperor of destruction on speed dial.”

I want to know if he found it morbidly insulting having been the Decepticons medical officer.

I want to know if anyone watched him stand awkwardly on the sidelines while they all caught up after a day rebuilding and working for a movie night and the like, and felt sympathetic towards him.

I want to know if anyone reached out to him on said sidelines and made sure to discreetly pay extra attention to him so he knew he was part of the group, even if he played his egotistical nonchalant character on steroids so no one would ever think he could possibly care about being alone.

I want to know if Knock Out was subconsciously grateful someone could see through him like Breakdown had.

I want to know if that made Knock Out feel guilty.

I want to know if he felt alone.

I want to know if this occasional niceness from someone new began to make him feel uncomfortable having been so long and having become so accustomed to the opposite.

I want to know if he eventually ever uncovered that it was Arachnid that killed Breakdown through accidental word-of-mouth.

I want to know if he was content with knowing, or felt a sudden need to seek revenge wherever she may have lain.

I want to know if anyone reached him in time before he did something stupid like embarking on a wayward bug hunt - that they shared a moment of painful wisdom and trauma with him that had defined their actions up until then.

I want to know if he broke down.

I want to know if anyone genuinely cared, and sat with him through it all as his nonchalant facade shattered and he mourned uncontrollably and unintentionally into their arms.

I want to know if he lashed out at them in doing so.

I want to know if, after a while of keeping his head down, and some well-earned trust, he eventually got to have some medical responsibility of his own.

I want to know if anyone held him a congratulations party for doing well with his new big job to show they cared.

I want to know if, following a successful medical stint, he moved away and went down the cosmetic surgery route again, and set up a specialised body shop.

I want to know if anyone also threw him a moving away party.

I want to know if his business’s catchphrase/tagline was: “Dedicated to turning you from a Breakdown to a Knock Out.”

I want to know if he set up a little body shop training academy which inadvertently created a new generation of mini Knock Out’s.

I want to know if one of them was known as Wildbreak.

I want to know if anyone became his regulars and spent deliberately longer with him chatting away until closing to make sure he was still doing ok.

I want to know if Knock Out came to realise he wanted them to stay longer than they did or could.

I want to know if he ever knew what said ‘Bot(s) were up to visiting him often but played coy because he didn’t know how to thank them…for believing in him and saving him when he didn’t know he needed saving…

[WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN]

According to Rik Alvarez and later confirmed by Jeff Kline, the original plan was to have Airachnid come back in the finale movie "Predacons Rising" with Megatron rescuing her from the moon Soundwave stranded her on in "Thirst" with the intent of making her his queen and using her undead Insecticons to their advantage by supplementing them to his Terrorcons.

However things take an unexpected turn with her character as once she discovers the true plan of Megatron and Predaking which could lead to the destruction of Cybertron, Airachnid betrays them and decides to change her ways this time for the good of her own kind and reluctantly joins the Autobots.

Hi I just binge the entire reborn sparks au and had an idea on how Prediking's children came to be. Shockwave was alone on cybertron for a while right? He was also a very smart mech, one that would never be foolish enough to have all of his research in one place. So they find his research, try and clone more predicons but instead of coming out as adults they come out as kids either due to an accident is their research or the fossils used were from some very young predictors. Or it was a conscious decision to make them kids so they could actually have a childhood
