#i think i finally found what i wanna do #once i leave hs. or at least hopefully #video game writer! #love storytelling in all forms except in novel formats and vid games ive always held good in my heart #maybe like lead writer/overall designer if i can one day #i want to be the top dog and see my ideas executed. having a little studio of my own would be fun #ive already taken all the lit/writing and art classes i possibly could at my school #so i may swap out one of my classes next year for compsci too #really just...... creating this elaborate #and making it playable and have it convey a message #and meaning through its environment and characters #i like that #the culmination of open world classical fantasy games ive played led me here #prince of persia dark souls #the crack that was borderlands #how open and interactive the gta and rdd games are #elder scrolls in its entirety #the witcher.. n many more #im a big fan of soma and subnautica and their different aspects of horror #and genshin. obviously #regrettably was probably the most recent game that rlly started pushing at my interest #wouldnt call myself a theorist and more so a speculator of lore but #from a storytelling point im in awe of just how much there IS in the game #and all the little bits of lore and details #character backstories #very nondescript and more often than not poorly done but it's still something that motivates me #especially like how obscure the history of old teyvat is in game #but that's an entirely different thing i could ramble about #there's so much more i think about but this is it roughly i think #a reasonable goal to finally work towards to

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Immortals Showcase Nr#3: Artaban, The Calm & Brooding Sword-Master!!!

Hello everyone, I am here once again to introduce here the third Immortal from the upcoming new title in the series called Prince of Persia, The Lost Crown! Today I will show you a true warrior at heart with a kind and gentle soul, this warrior's name? Artaban!

Artaban is a sword-master, but he is also competent in the arts of patience, virtue, diplomacy and preparedness that, in his case, is actually over-preparedness.

His sharp mind and big heart makes him an invaluable asset to the Immortals, who all could learn from his wisdom in battle and beyond, especially Sargon, who would need to take a few steps back and learn from the best, especially about diplomacy and peace!

A really great thinker and fighter, he really believes strongly in the Zoroastrianism.[The former predominant fate of Persia until Islam replaced it. It still exists as a religion today in much smaller numbers around the world and, amongst other things, views life as a battle between the good god Ormazd/Ahura Mazda and the evil god known as Ahriman/Angra Mainyu...which kind of is like with in Islam with Allah and Shaitan...but this isn't a religion session, so take it as a rather brief summary here] A faith that shaped his virtues personality and could make him in addition to his other traits, a Zoroastrian paragon!!! A Holy Warrior fighting for Ormazd and his Kingdom of Persia!!!

He is also fond of making outside of battle and pre-combat poems that will touch your heart with the sweetest of poems, but only if you are lucky to see it!!!

His big sword is a large testament to his fighting prowess and his big cerebral approach to combat (and life) allows it to be put to good use! Artaban show us, that the size of a warrior's sword tells us a lot about the size of their heart!!!

He really is that type of Paragon!!! The pinnacle of heroism!!!

Will Artaban be a good example to his Immortals and lead them to the road of justice, or will all fall down in the domains of darkness and perish forever? Find out in The Lost Crown, the next Prince of Persia game, coming in 18th January and before, on 11th January the same month as free demo on the Switch, Xbox One/Series X|S, PS4/5 and PC!!!

Can we just for a second, TALK ABOUT WHY THERE ARE SO MANY VERSIONS OF PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE FORGOTTEN SANDS

There is the Xbox 360 version (the 1st one I played)

Pretty standard stuff, good graphics, interesting storyline, obnoxious puzzles and enemies.

This one runs the same as the PS3 and PC versions

PSP (haven't played this one)

What.... What the fuck. WHO IS THAT BOSS??? WHY IS THE PRINCE IN SAND DUNES IS THIS A DIFFERENT STORYLINE OR SOMETHING??? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON???

Not going to mention the graphics because it's a PSP for christsakes.

So hard to choose between Soul Reaver and Silent Hill. One captivates with its story and switching between realms, is a technical masterpiece, but is notoriously unfinished. 24. Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?

Well, discounting the Meat Circus level from Psychonauts because that goes without saying... (I beat it before they patched it. That controller and also probably my thumbs were never the same.)

It's definitely the first fight with the Empress of Time from Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. I'm fuzzy on the details, but the deep-seated rage is still stuck with me. That game in general is a hot mess and far and away the worst of the trilogy (the other two are excellent though!), but that boss. It's a multi-stage fight that should really have checkpoints and doesn't, with a bunch of unbreakable combo attacks, I think some QTEs?, and basically just a ton of bullshit mechanics. Also the design and writing for the women in that game, and the Empress in particular, is...yeah.

That game is bad in this deeply stupid way that could've only happened in the early 2000s. The first Empress fight is just...the rage icing on the cake.

29. Worst online gaming experience?

When I played the first Dark Souls, I brought a random summoned player in for help with the Artorias fight. We beat him, and then the summon hopped out of the arena - there's a brief window between the fog gate dropping and the game booting the summoned person - and killed a nearby merchant NPC.

Kinda rude, tbh. Not in the spirit of jolly cooperation at all. :(

(I don't play a lot of online games at all tbh, because I'm shy and people are exhausting and I hear too many horror stories from more popular games. Mostly I hang out in LotRO, which has a lovely community. No horror stories there.)
