Hello! I have a question and I hoped that you might help me. I’ve seen a lot of posts in the asoiaf tag where people claimed that GRRM is criticising feudalism. My problem is that I don’t understand why would he? Feudalism isn’t a system that actively exists anymore. It’s not like criticising capitalism or totalitarianism which still exist. And it’s a fantasy series and most fantasy series have a somewhat medieval setting. It doesn’t make sense to me.
oo fun question anon.
well, first off, i would say he’s not just critiquing fuedalism. he’s also critiquing monarchies, which unfortunately still exist, and power structures in general, which definitely still exist. for example, that famous broken man section, sorry for length but the whole thing is good:
“Ser? My lady?” said Podrick. “Is a broken man an outlaw?” “More or less,” Brienne answered. Septon Meribald disagreed. “More less than more. There are many sorts of outlaws, just as there are many sorts of birds. A sandpiper and a sea eagle both have wings, but they are not the same. The singers love to sing of good men forced to go outside the law to fight some wicked lord, but most outlaws are more like this ravening Hound than they are the lightning lord. They are evil men, driven by greed, soured by malice, despising the gods and caring only for themselves. Broken men are more deserving of our pity, though they may be just as dangerous. Almost all are common-born, simple folk who had never been more than a mile from the house where they were born until the day some lord came round to take them off to war. Poorly shod and poorly clad, they march away beneath his banners, ofttimes with no better arms than a sickle or a sharpened hoe, or a maul they made themselves by lashing a stone to a stick with strips of hide. Brothers march with brothers, sons with fathers, friends with friends. They’ve heard the songs and stories, so they go off with eager hearts, dreaming of the wonders they will see, of the wealth and glory they will win. War seems a fine adventure, the greatest most of them will ever know. "Then they get a taste of battle. For some, that one taste is enough to break them. Others go on for years, until they lose count of all the battles they have fought in, but even a man who has survived a hundred fights can break in his hundred-and-first. Brothers watch their brothers die, fathers lose their sons, friends see their friends trying to hold their entrails in after they’ve been gutted by an axe. “They see the lord who led them there cut down, and some other lord shouts that they are his now. They take a wound, and when that’s still half-healed they take another. There is never enough to eat, their shoes fall to pieces from the marching, their clothes are torn and rotting, and half of them are shitting in their breeches from drinking bad water. “If they want new boots or a warmer cloak or maybe a rusted iron halfhelm, they need to take them from a corpse, and before long they are stealing from the living too, from the smallfolk whose lands they’re fighting in, men very like the men they used to be. They slaughter their sheep and steal their chickens, and from there it’s just a short step to carrying off their daughters too. And one day they look around and realize all their friends and kin are gone, that they are fighting beside strangers beneath a banner that they hardly recognize. They don’t know where they are or how to get back home and the lord they’re fighting for does not know their names, yet here he comes, shouting for them to form up, to make a line with their spears and scythes and sharpened hoes, to stand their ground. And the knights come down on them, faceless men clad all in steel, and the iron thunder of their charge seems to fill the world… "And the man break. “He turns and runs, or crawls off afterward over the corpses of the slain, or steals away in the black of night, and he finds someplace to hide. All thought of home is gone by then, and kings and lords and gods mean less to him than a haunch of spoiled meat that will let him live another day, or a skin of bad wine that might drown his fear for a few hours. The broken man lives from day to day, from meal to meal, more beast than man. Lady Brienne is not wrong. In times like these, the traveler must beware of broken men, and fear them…but he should pity them as well.”
When Meribald was finished a profound silence fell upon their little band. Brienne could hear the wind rustling through a clump of pussywillows, and farther off the faint cry of a loon. She could hear Dog panting softly as he loped along beside the septon and his donkey, tongue lolling from his mouth. The quiet stretched and stretched, until finally she said, “How old were you when they marched you off to war?” “Why, no older than your boy,” Meribald replied. “Too young for such, in truth, but my brothers were all going, and I would not be left behind. Willam said I could be his squire, though Will was no knight, only a potboy armed with a kitchen knife he’d stolen from the inn. He died upon the Stepstones, and never struck a blow. It was fever did for him, and for my brother Robin. Owen died from a mace that split his head apart, and his friend Jon Pox was hanged for rape.” “The War of the Ninepenny Kings?” asked Hyle Hunt. “So they called it, though I never saw a king, nor earned a penny. It was a war, though. That it was.”
Bolded parts mine! All of it, but especially the bolded parts can apply just as easily to soldiers in the war of the five kings, the war of the roses, world war 2, vietnam, and every war in between. Think about the way military recruiters show up to high schools with cool gadgets and the promise of free college, and the way Meribald talks about the lords showing up pressing young boys into service. Think about the fact that the British military executed three hundred and six soldiers suffering from PTSD after WWI for "cowardice" and the starving soldiers Meribald talks about abandoning their armies just for an extra mouthful of food. when meribald talks about the soldiers looting from peasants, think about the fact that the innocent people in gaza are starving to death while a handful of miles away, there are restaurants booming and food enough to throw away. War is war, regardless of whether it's being waged a thousand years ago or a thousand years from now.
it's important when discussing asoiaf to remember that george is often holding a mirror up against our own society - he is saying that this, the violent patriarchy of westeros, is our natural endpoint if we continue to treat each other the way we do. it's about taking these typical tropes and roles and archetypes and asking what they are really like, how hard they really are, how awful they really are, and if this is the life we want to befall our own children. it is about asking if we, as in the reader, are capable of breaking the cycle of violence as surely as it is about asking if the characters can break that cycle too. There's a reason, for example, Ramsay's story is so tied up in domestic violence, or why Robert's character focuses much more on the way he has failed his family than anything else. There's a reason there's so many sibling groups (Martells, Daynes, Starks, Lannisters, Tullys, Baratheons) that get wrecked by the Rebellion and that the series tracks the way this wreckage seeps out into the realm. Yes, asoiaf is about feudalism but it is about us as well.
second, while feudalism doesn’t technically exist any more, the relics of feudalism still haunt the world; from hereditary noble titles to literal monarchs with absolute power to extreme barriers to social mobility and even serfs. you'll see a lot of academics, especially since the pandemic started, talking about "neo-feudalism" and the idea that just like the middle ages was shaped by pandemics that ravaged populations and made it easier for upper classes to get richer and stop social mobility, the pandemic has enriched the richest people in the world and made everyone else exceedingly poor. while george obviously wasn't writing about the neo feudalism people are talking about today, this is a concept that's been kicking around since the 1980s so I think it is likely that George had done some research into the relics of feudalism and the criticism of modern governments working like corporations. Because this history may seem a long time ago - the war of the roses ended over a thousand years ago, after all - but feudalism and it's relics are still very much within living memory. Russia still had serfs until the 1860s, Bosnia and Herzegovina up until 1918, and Bhutan until the 1950s! There are also still countries all over the world that still have what is basically legalized slavery, whether it's workers stolen from one country and trafficked to another, a minority group that is used as slave labor, or prison labor. I think George is also knocking at the remnants of it as well. I mean, the UK monarchs aren't even that powerful in the grand scheme of things and yet every time they have one of their lil events, they destroy tent cities and mass displace the unhoused populations of London because like, homeless people are gross instead of actually doing anything to help those people. Diana was a teenager when she married Charles. Yeah, that's a far cry from like, poor Rhaella but that doesn't mean it's not still a fucked up institution that is worth taking aim at!
but thirdly!! feudalism exists in fiction constantly still - as you said, a lot of high fantasy has a medieval-ish bent (even books pulling from non western cultures or authors from non western cultures still tend to pull more from history that falls pre-1500s; this is mostly just my opinion as a librarian and fantasy reader, but it's really only been the last decade or so that fantasy has branched out into non medieval time periods like with stuff like babel, six of crows, some of katherine arden's stuff, etc). the divine right of kings is still alive and thriving in fiction and (again, this is my amatuer opinion here) I do think at least part of this is because a lot of american fantasy writers have never lived under a monarchy, so the bad affects of it are far off and easier to romanticize. as well, you get a lot of "times were simpler" PoVs from non americans who have lived under some sort of monarch as well. and that’s why i believe he’s criticizing it - he’s critiquing the genre itself for its romanticization of feudalism, monarchies, kings and queens, and the idea of the divine right of kings. he's saying "look realistically this shit sucked for everyone" and then rubbing your face in how bleak the feudal system actually was. It's the aragorn's tax policies aspect - there is more to being a leader than a watery tart throwing a sword at you!! it's jaime's entire riverlands arc - house lannister won the war on a technicality, and yet the horror, the desolation, the despair are still fresh in the minds of the common people, in the minds of the people who lost their loved ones.

I noticed the "despite never having lived there" bit of Hearthome, but what if you had a real Hearthome and then moved there?
I guess in theory, sure, but at that point it kind of just becomes your home. Like, I love the place I live now, in a similar way to how I love Pandora actually, but I wouldn't call it a hearthome because it's.. just my home. The idea of a hearthome is primarily a way to describe/explain "homesickness for a place you shouldn't be capable of being homesick for", at least to me.
I wouldn't, like, consider that an incorrect usage necessarily, because I guess it's not necessarily implied by "home" because not everybody has that sense of connection to the place they live, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me personally to call The Actual Place You Live And Consider Home a "hearthome" instead of just "home," if that makes sense?
On thinking on it a minute: Yeah, sure, I guess it fits, and I'd certainly accept it, but be aware I'm going to by default (ie until indicated otherwise) assume you don't currently live in your hearthome because that's what most people mean by the word.

OOC POST
Hi!! My name is Admin O, I just recently started this blog, and I’m just now kinda getting use to have a blog of multiple muses, but I have past experiences of roleplaying as the masters; atleast a few of them anyways; so I thought, why not? Sometimes I get way too excited and start rambling, or I immediately assume people that interact with me are already my friends. If this ever bothers someone, or makes them uncomfortable, please tell me and I’ll try my best to stop!! I don’t mean to ramble or talk to much at all. Sometimes I just get too excited, I hope that’s okay!!
my ask box is open 24/7!!! You’ll be able to send an ask to almost any master you want! If it’s a bit out of character at times, I apologize!
I love writing with ocs!! And other characters from the show, and literally just well..anyone!! Im looking forward to speaking with everyone.
Obviously. Sometimes ask will be a bit morbid. Or rude, due to it being in character. If it gets too much. Just send me a message and I will fix things up.
How to know who you’re talking to (without the tags that I’ll put there..lol)
I do not mind spamming what so ever!! Just please don’t be rude to me, you can be rude to the characters, but not me, anyhow! I hope we can all get along well!!
Saxon!Master
Missy
Spy Master/Spy Doctor
The War Master
The Movie/Bruce Master (Eric Roberts)
River Song
The Rani

Delgado Master
(Any other masters text, will be put in a different font, and I will put their name in the tags! Thank you!! Just ask for a master and I’ll try my best to do what I can!)

Ornaments of Hindi
I think I’ve known Hindi ever since I could talk. That sounds so sensible that it almost doesn’t. I say that not only because it is my mother tongue but also because I’ve lived with Hindi; with Champak and Bal Bhaskar in the morning and because I’ve ended my days with Dinkar wishing for a jhingola.
Hindi poetry has its roots in the rasas of Sanskrit and in the wit of Śaursenī Prākrit’s jesters. Somewhere along the way it met with Apabhraṃśa to become what it is today.
It is hard to define poetry. It is even harder to put it in a box of an “ism”. It is everywhere; in a way that you cannot live without it and in another where it consumes you.
On a personal level, I think it was Muktibodh whose mark on Hindi poetry is incomparable.
Gajanan Madhav ‘Muktibodh’ understood melancholy like no other Hindi poet.
One of the pioneers of the Nayi Kavita, Muktibodh was born in present-day Chambal, Madhya Pradesh.
Apart from being a poet and an essayist, he was also a literary and political critic.
I believe, where prayogvad or experimentalism meets nihilism, Muktibodh resides there.
punish me, make me forget it
make me forget that i ever existed
make me wear
this dark night of the abyss
that our separation is
on my body, my face
make me
live with it
make me
bathe in it
because
i can’t bear with
being surrounded by you
or being smothered
with your love
this grace of your being,
your embrace
leaves me weak
your love scares me
your gentle caress
leaves me gasping for air
The above stanza is from Muktibodh’s poem ‘Saharsh Sweekara Hai’. Here, Muktibodh’s fear of losing his beloved has grown so strong that he only feels safe in her arms. Realising that he has this parasitic relationship with his beloved, he asks her to leave him because now the love he shares with her has started to consume him. The poet feels that he cannot function without her and wants to escape this all-consuming dependence.
The poem is a journey of the poet’s acceptance. As the name suggests and also the first few lines of the poem say, he has accepted everything in life with open arms. As the poem progresses, the poet comes to terms with the love that is consuming him. He tries not to fight it.
We’ve known Subhadra Kumari Chauhan with her poems like ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ and ‘Jallianwala Bagh Mein Basant’ to have been written primarily in veer rasa, but a large number of her poems have been for children and probably for herself too.
Born on 16th of August 1904 in Prayagraj, Subhadra had started spending time with the likes of Mahadevi Varma early on in her life at school. As her junior at the Crosthwaite Girls' School, Mahadevi too looks back at her time with Subhadra fondly in one of her writings.
‘Kadamb ka Ped’ is one of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan’s
children’s poems.
What separates Hindi children’s literature from the others is its simplicity. It is devoid of references related to outside of the world of its own, like Alice’s isn’t. It is pure.
यह कदंब का पेड़ अगर माँ होता यमुना तीरे।
मैं भी उस पर बैठ कन्हैया बनता धीरे-धीरे॥
on the banks of yamuna, had been this kadamba tree
i could have been krishna, climbing it without a worry
The poem talks about a child’s wish to be like Krishna, teasing and hiding from his mother and finding joys in little things.
The Kadamba tree near Yamuna takes the reader back to the legend of Krishna and Yashoda sitting near the Kadamba tree and her witnessing the cosmos in Krishna’s mouth.

Wedding bells: Bonus fic
@dumdaradumdaradum something to tide you over while I write the fic you asked for
“Y/N!! Listennn !!”
Y/n rolled her eyes for the tenth time in the last ten minutes. Really she adored her husband, but if he asked her where one more thing was kept she was going to throw something at him. Maybe something large. And heavy. Deciding to save her husband from potential bodily harm, she yelled back, “Ram I swear to all the gods if you ask me one more time where your kurta is or your kada, or-or anything else I will break your head!”
Ram flinched slightly, knowing very well his wife usually had the patience of a saint, and if she was threatening him, he had started to trod on her last vesitges of patience. Nevertheless, he had to ask her again. “Y/n, jaan where is the sui-dhaaga kept here?”
She frowned at that coming out of the room she had been getting ready in. Ram turned as he heard her payals clinking, the breath whooshing out of him in one go. She looked heavenly. Pink saree, golden jhumkas, pink bangles and his eyes snagged on the mangalsutra she was wearing, the only thing on her neck. He smiled involuntarily at that, moving closer to her.
Y/n was having a similar reaction. It was absurd how good looking he was on a normal day, but now? In that red kurta, with the arms rolled up, she couldn’t recollect seeing anything more beautiful. Did he even know? Deciding to do something before she did something foolish that would delay them, she asked, “What do you need the sui-dhaaga for?”
“Oh, ummm……”
He looked sheepish, scratching the back of neck. It made her heart flip all over the place seeing him.
“What?”
“I accidentally broke the button of my kurta??”
Giggling slightly, she responded, “Ram. Are you asking me or telling me?”
Ram snapped his gaze up to look at her, nodding earnestly as he said, “I’m telling you. I need your help please?”
She shook her head, hiding her smile behind her hand at the absolute childishness of this man. She felt so happy sometimes that he was so free around her, she felt like she was floating.Still smiling, she said, “Wait here. I’ll go get it.”
Ram paused momentarily. He didn’t want to derail her from doing her work. As she turned, he caught her hand, making her look at him.
“Ram. What is it?”
“You can give me the box. You must be having a lot of work now na?”
Blinking slowly at him, she placed one hand on his. “Ram, it’s ok. Waise bhi, I don’t trust you not to stab yourself with a needle.”
Ram looked mock offended, placing a hand over his heart. “Uufff. Jaan kya bula diya, tum ne toh jaan hi le li.”
Y/n felt her cheeks burning. What was with this man? He went from childlike, to lethal flirt in a matter of seconds. Swatting his arm she managed to say, “Bohot hi zyaada ghatiya tha ye. Wait here, I’ll get the box.”
Ram was still giggling, (giggling!) as she went to fetch the box. As she went, she knew she’d never forget the sound for as long as she lived. Pure happiness was rare and in in him it was rarer.
Y/n realized one small thing as she threaded the needle. To affix the button, she’d have to stand near him. Extremely near him. And with the way her heart and brain were going fuzzy around him, she didn’t know if she could do the work without pricking him.
Ram picked up on it. Of course he did. “Y/n? What happened? What are you thinking?”
Y/n cursed. There was no way in hell she could explain her hesitation. What would she say? “My crush on you is so massive, I don’t trust myself to not be nervous standing so close to you”? She was married to the man, for gods sake! This shouldn’t be difficult.
Shaking her head slightly, she took in a fortifying breath. “Nothing. Give me the button?”
Ram handed it to her, eyes widening slightly as she stepped closer to him, till the distance between them was negligible. The scent of raat rani washed over him, along with something herbal and earthy. He began to lean into her, before catching himself. “What has come over you? Have some control at least”, he scolded himself. Still, it did nothing, as he found himself holding her waist as she worked, moving inexplicably much closer.
Y/n had no idea how she got into this situation. She hadn’t even known when Ram’s hands drifted to hold her, or when he moved closer. She didn’t look away from her hands worried that if she did, there was a high chance she’d probably kiss him. Or faint. Maybe both from the way he was looking at her. She finished her work, unconciously taking the thread between her teeth, breaking it off.
Ram felt his body go tense as she leaned down. “What the hell is she doing?” Ram felt the faintest brush of her lips against his chest, shutting his eyes, deciding that the universe definitely hated him; there was no other reason this torture was being inflicted upon him.
When he opened his eyes, she was looking at him, eyebrows furrowed, eyes holding a question. He quickly shook his head which seemed to satisfy her.
Ram felt an immediate sadness fill him as he realised she would move away from him now that the button was fixed. Not willing to let go yet he grasped her hands, turning them so they were palm up. He felt an immediate smile overtake him, as he looked at the designs, almost black in their colour swriling their way across her hands.
“Rang toh achha chadha hai.”
Y/n meanwhile was having trouble breathing. She didn’t know what had happened to him today, but if it meant staying this near him, she wished it happened everyday.
“Pata hai. You know everyone was telling me it looks really nice.”
Ram looked at her and, dear god, she was going to melt. There was no way someone should be able to look that mischievous and cute at once. And it was definitely unfair when he looked like that through lashes as long as his. Tugging her closer, he placed one kiss delicately on each of her palms.
“You know what they say right? When the colour is dark?”
Y/n could swear her brain had stopped functioning. She’d hoped there was a side to Ram like this, but this- this was beyond anything she imagined. This was new and uncharted.
“I know”, she breathed out.
Ram smiled as he moved away, leaving her with an almost whiplash feeling. Sliding his hand down to clasp hers he said, “Ab chalo. There’s work to be done today na?”
Oh, this was going to be fun.

Just rewatched the 15th doctors Xmas special.
I’ve seen many posts regarding Mrs flood… asking if she’s river. Asking if she’s the rani. My own suggesting she’s Susan.
But you know what I also think? I think she’s a relative of Ruby. Probably too old to be Ruby’s mother.. (if she’s not a time lord) but regardless of who she is as a person, I think she’s specifically the person who leaves Ruby at the church.
In the time line before Rubys taken as a baby, we see Mrs. Flood and she’s all grumpy and shit. Angry about the blue box. Then after they take baby Ruby and the Doctor saves her? In that time line, she knows what a Tardis is and is super chipper about the Doctor and stuff.
I mean maybe she’s not related to Ruby, but idk. They emphasized in the mystery of the person who left Ruby. They emphasized that they didn’t find Ruby’s relatives. They emphasized that Mrs. floods attitude towards the tardis changed.
And if there’s anything this episode tried to tell us, there’s too many coincidences for it to just be coincidence.

" darling, i know that you took my white pudding... " a night of driving and flying and driving again have long-stolen the subtleties of richard's interrogative skills. now, he leans against a luxuriously papered wall, too tired to sit up in the velvet chair, while stanley pauses mid-way through cutting up a sausage.
" you know what, babe, i'm gonna just chalk that one right up to jetlag, i won't even dignify that with a response-- "
" classic sign of guilt. " rani murmurs, slumped in her seat and pushing mushrooms around her plate. laszlo is looking paler than usual, indicative of the concoctions he'd forged at home, but ultimately far more alert and focused than the other three. particularly when a chirpy young waitress appears beside the table and asks if they'd like any other drinks before the scones arrive.
" one almond latte, extra shot, a cappuccino with two pumps of hazelnut, one orange juice with pulp and three lime wedges, and a green tea with honey. "
for the moment between the order and drayden's arrival, the group stare at him in bewilderment.
Tumblr media
" what? we don't have time for you lot to fuck around trying to remember the order. we've got a whole bloody island to narrow down, so eat up, drink up, and let's go. " he's about to ask for a few boxes to shovel everything into when they spot @hcpebled approaching the table. " we ordered you a breakfast roll, lad, but you'll have to eat it in the toyota. we're currently divided between going west to the atlantic, north to the mountains, or east to the city. and by that, i mean i'm divided, and everyone else just wants to go to bed. "
OPTIONS ( D20 LINK HERE! ):
take one of the suggested routes from laszlo.
[ PERSUASION ] convince laszlo that it's better to get some rest first and plan the journey once everyone's slept a bit. ( d15 )
[ CHARISMA ] ask the waitress for help and directions. ( d10 )
[ INTELLIGENCE ] use your memories of aisling's fleeting mentions of her past to narrow down where in the country she might be. ( d14 )

★ Trade experts explain why no Hindi or Pan-Indian film clashes with Salman Khan’s films at the box office: “He’s 100% an ORGANIC star; clashing with him can prove SUICIDAL”!
Nov 7, 2023
Salman Khan’s Diwali release Tiger 3 is nearly a week away and the excitement is tremendous. What’s interesting is that it’ll have a solo release of sorts, as no other Hindi or Pan-India South film is clashing on the same day. In fact, Salman Khan has not faced a clash since 2010. The last time that happened was when his 2009 action super-hit film Wanted was released on the same day as Rani Mukerji-starrer Dil Bole Hadippa.
Dabangg (2010), Ready (2011), Bodyguard (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Dabangg 2 (2012), Jai Ho (2014), Kick (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), Sultan (2016), Tubelight (2017), Race 3 (2018), Bharat (2019), Dabangg 3 (2019) and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023) released with no competition. Antim (2021) faced a collision with Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021) but then it didn’t feature the superstar in the lead.
Other stars haven’t been that fortunate. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale (2015) and Raees (2017) were released alongside Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Kaabil (2017) respectively. SRK is at his best position arguably right now and yet, his next film Dunki will have to share screens with Salaar on Christmas 2023. Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan last year. Salman’s last few films have not done well and yet, no one is ready to come on the same Friday as him.
We asked trade experts about this rare phenomenon. Trade veteran Taran Adarsh said, “He has a huge following and is a darling of the masses. The business he has generated over a period of time in mass pockets is phenomenal. Though he has had a rough patch, he's the pied piper of Bollywood.”
Trade analyst Atul Mohan, in agreement, exulted, “Salman is a very big hero of the masses. He has always had such a huge fan following; Shah Rukh Khan ka aisa following ab bana hai. Aamir Khan never had such a mass pull. Salman’s craze is one of a kind. Hence, filmmakers are wary of clashing their films with him. Itna bada hero hai, kaun takkar lega iske saath?”
Girish Johar, producer and film business analyst, remarked, “Salman is the only superstar who people want to see on screen. He has the maximum on-screen superstardom out of all the actors. It’s a very critical factor. He’s also not on our social media every time, going to malls, opening ribbons, dancing, etc.”
He continued, “Unfortunately his films have not worked as he hasn’t paid much attention to the storytelling, packaging, direction, etc. He has that power that if he gets these things right, then there’s no stopping him. That’s why many are wary of clashing with him as they know that at least in the opening weekend, their film will get butchered.”
Raj Bansal, the owner of Entertainment Paradise cinema hall in Jaipur, explained, “Salman Khan is an action hero. When no one was doing action, he was the only action excelling in this genre. Somewhere, his confidence shook and he also did non-action films like Tubelight (2017), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), etc. Only Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) worked in this regard. But even when his films were gadbad, they still made Rs. 100 crores plus. There was a time when the hit films of Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn did Rs. 100 crores. But Salman’s flop films do Rs. 100 crores even today! And his hit films have done more than Rs. 300 crores. It’s thanks to him that the industry realized the true potential of a Hindi film. Hence, clashing with him can prove suicidal.”
He also said, “He’s 100% an organic star. Even Sunny Deol is.”
Girish Johar added, “If he moulds himself to the sensibilities that cater to his fans and also provides intelligent content, then sky is the limit. I think Tiger 3 will do well. It ticks all the right boxes.”
Taran Adarsh also said along the same lines, “Tiger 3 being a brand and essaying a role that is much-loved, I am sure it’ll have a great run and a huge opener.”

How Bollywood has shaped Indian Society!
Since a few years, we are noticing lot of criticism of Bollywood, movie plots, and actors character. But the changes they have made over the past few years have gone unnoticed by us. I enjoy watching web series, hence now a days I can't watch every movie. Let's start with the hotly debated "Rocky aur Rani ki love story." The Indian family structure has been brilliantly shown in the film, which also fearlessly depicts the role of the husband in upholding his wife's honour. There is nothing wrong with correcting family elders when they are in the wrong, and by doing this, no one will be considered to be non-cultural.
The second box office dud "Jug jug jiyo"... told the tale of a woman, her family, and her job. Furthermore, there is never a situation where a man slaps his wife because his ego is damaged during an argument. It appeared in too many 1990s films.
Bollywood has produced numerous films about LGBTQ communities, like Badhai Do, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To, etc. Even the producers were confident that it wouldn't be a big hit because the majority of the viewers couldn't identify to the story, but it has sparked conversation about the issue in society and would inevitably result in change.
It was all too normal for men to slap women to break up arguments, but Bollywood has taught society that doing so is not a sign of true manhood.
Bollywood actors have spoken out against animal cruelty. I still recall the scene where one of the participants was discussing his freedom in Roadies. When Neha Dhupiya asked him about his sister, he replied that she was not allowed to leave the house, attend college, wear anything other than a salwar, etc., and that he was proud to be a man for placing such limitations on her. I believe Neha had a point when she criticised him. If someone else had been around, she might have been able to appreciate all of this absurdity as part of culture.
We pay more attention to the saree than the chandrayan, Mahi's wife's dress, and Jadeja's wife's saree, and on the basis of those things, we judge both of them. Bollywood deserves praise for moving towards eradicating all crap.
