Light of Unova’s 200 Follower Event!!

Reshi’s Slumber Party

Hello! I want to say thank you so so much for 200+ followers! It means so much that everyone really enjoys my story and characters! In the works for awhile now is my first ever hosted community event!! I hope everyone really enjoys it!

What is it?: Reshi has decided to host a slumber party at Dragonspiral Tower! Pokemon and Legendaries/gijinkas alike are encouraged to attend to have a fun night of games and relaxation!

Activities may include makeovers, gossiping, trying new/foreign snacks, musical chairs, and Truth or Dare*!

Guests are free to roam the tower as they wish, however are restricted from a few key areas. The Forces of Nature will be patrolling, the grounds as well! Rambunctious guests, or guests found in off limits areas will be warned once before being asked to leave. It seems like the trio are in a bad mood, and will not tolerate any funny buisness!

*Due to Reshi being able to tell if a character is lying, Truth or Dare is opt in only! (She also cannot lie herself tho so hopefully this balances that out haha)

When is it?: The event will begin on April 1st and last until May 1st. As needed, the event may be extended.

Who may join?: Anyone within the Pokemon Askblog community is encouraged to join! Paticipants are encouraged to wear their most comfortable pyjamas and bring snacks a la potluck style, and bring pillows/blankets aplenty!

How can I participate?: Interacting with anyone during the event nets you a ticket in automatically! If you would like to recieve a formal invitation, please dm me or reply to THIS post and I will send them out asap!

Extra info: This event will have plot relevance for Light of Unova. Premade backgrounds will be provided for the event upon the start! Along with those, a discord server will open for anyone participating to chat and discuss ideas!

The tag to use for the event will be #LoUsleepover

As a thank you, the event will conclude with a raffle for 1 premade character design and 1 icon drawn by yours truly!

Lief: "Something that only I can do? Is that a trick question?"

Usually one would use the following question to highlight an obvious answer. But Lief being Lief, he meant it pretty literally.

Having pondered for some moments, he was now looking up at Reshi with a frown.

Lief: "I mean if you really think about it, something that only I can do doesn't exist. There's gonna be at least one other Pokemon that'll probably be able to do it, too. But, a dare's a dare, so..."

With a shrug, he stuck his paw into his tail fur, and seemingly struggled to find it at first.

Lief: "I have something in mind, but you're not gonna like it. Or maybe you're like me and Pokemon commonly tell you that you have a weird sense of humor."

From his tail, he plucked out a pollen puff. He held it up to Reshi as if he were showing it to her.

Then he unceremoniously smeared it on her face. All over her nose and cheeks.

He now stared at her with such a cheeky grin, barely holding himself back from laughing.

Welcome!” She starts before continuing on. “As I understand, you also come from a Unova correct? I hope the tower isn’t too strange for you to be in if that’s the case.” she laughs a bit. She knew different universes shared similarities sometimes.

Oh yea, we do from the other Unova. And of course, this universe locations are nearly identical as yours.

Honestly, this tower is much better here than in our universe. There's many pleasant guests, which is very satisfyin'. Also food and of course time to relax.

Well, I think I'm ready to climb the tower summit. Let's go, Noey!

That’s the best advice I can offer.” She offered them a small smile, hoping her words eased any fears.

(@lightofunova) Reshi@Magpie: Across the room, a swath of black and green catches the goddess’s eye, turning her attention over to the meloetta. Pushing through crowds. she eventually makes her way over, bowing in greeting. “Good evening, I just wanted to state how gorgeous your gown is! I..ah, never had the pleasure of meeting a meloetta before, but I’ve heard many positive things!” she states quickly. “It used to be rumored 3000 years ago that if you heard a Meloetta’s song it would give you good luck where I lived.” She explained, hoping it wasn’t sounding too awkward.

It takes a moment for Magpie to register the presence of Reshi fully, stunned into silent awe at her approaching in the first place, leaving a notable few seconds of time where the air is allowed to sit undisturbed between them. It's rare for Magpie to become flustered or surprised enough into silence, however being approached and spoken to by someone of Reshi's status, by a fellow legend, is something she hadn't considered. Which, when put down on paper, sounds silly. This is a gala filled to the brim with legendary guests so being approached by one should be a given, but after centuries of being staunchly avoided by those inhabiting the island, she forgot that the ones here wouldn't be so unwelcoming and avoidant to her presence. 

Even all that aside, she's never had the pleasure of meeting a Reshiram either. One did not inhabit the island she lived on nor does she remember any visiting in the past either. Eventually, her mind catches up to her body and she hastily bows in greeting herself, shocked expression transforming into a beaming smile on the way up, her excitement practically radiating off of her as she tries to stay cordial. 

“Hi! Hello! Good evening! You are looking positively stunning tonight as well! This is my first time meeting a Reshiram myself, how lucky for both of us!"

"I've had stories and rumors like that circulating around me in the past," she says, giving a light laugh at the memories, "People and Pokemon alike would come and leave offerings of all sorts in hopes of gaining some type of luck, inspiration, or even assistance with their musical endeavors. Or sometimes they just came to hear me sing. I would have done so without any offering, of course, but I suppose I couldn't complain. It helped bridge a gap that they otherwise would have been too nervous to interact with me over-- and of course I got all kinds of interesting items and foods that they created!"

"I don't possess any magical powers that grant good luck or gift musical skills, though. All I have is my own musical abilities…and I'm glad that I've been able to and continue to inspire others to pursue and achieve their own passions with them."

"But that's enough about me!" she says, "Given the lack of a Reshiram on the island, I haven't had the opportunity to hear any of the myths that they may have about them. But I'm sure you have plenty of stories about superstitions and myths about yourself, yes? Maybe something silly like cursing people to only tell the truth or banishing liars?"

"Used to do this all the time with my wife and kids. I think she would have loved this view. But, yes. I just don't do particularly well at these events.

Also, I feel a tiny bit out of uniform. Everyone else has appeared to use some kind of magic to turn into shaved simisears. 'Human' forms is what they call 'em, right? Never heard of such a thing in my life, but I feel like me not being one might ruin the atmosphere."

What's this about?

It's an artist collaboration, to create a compilation of illustrations, concept designs, sketches, and thought processes that mockup the development of theme park design.

This project will be centered around showcasing Scarland's architecture, landscapes, and experiences along with the designs of its products, costumes, advertisement, rides and everything else that is so carefully crafted for a park.

Who's organizing?

How can I join the project?

"Move onwards."

Those words stuck out to Destino. How were they supposed to move on when their best friend had not been truthful? It was hard. Felix knew how much Destino needed him to be honest with them. Their parents said not to trust anyone, not even your closest friends. Was there a spark of truth in all of that?

"Move onwards."

It was frustrating. Why would he choose to keep it secret? How was Destino supposed to look at their friend in the same way knowing he loved them? For how long had this been true? There were too many questions and not enough answers. What was Destino going to do? They didn't like Felix in the same way...right? No. Of course they didn’t. Felix was just a good friend. Would Destino want more with him? No…maybe? No. How was Destino supposed to trust anyone else if they couldn't even trust how they were feeling?

Destino snapped out of their trance to the sound of hearing their makeover had been completed. Time to see how much Reshino had butchered their beautiful-

They stopped their train of thought, shocked by what they were seeing. The pink glitter. The pink eyeshadow. The curled hair. Removing a single fluffy slipper, Destino took the mirror and examined every detail. They looked similar to how they did when they presented themselves as female. Destino used to love wearing makeup like this. It used to be one of their favourites things to do in their free time, dolling themselves up. Perhaps sometimes excessively but it helped them to feel pretty. Destino didn't do it as much now because they didn't want to spend time and effort doing all of that work in amidst their busy care routine, so this was nice. It was an incredibly strange feeling.

Their smile changed from a smug one that believed Reshino was going to mess this up to that of a more genuine one as Destino analysed what had been done to them. It made them feel a sense of nostalgia for who they once were.

They admired themselves for a while, feeling genuinely happy with how this experience had turned out. Perhaps they should do this more often. It made them happy. Destino remembered that Reshino was still there and quickly shifted back to their regular persona. That was enough feeling for one day. Couldn't let that out more than once.

"You've done a pretty decent job, as much as I hate to admit it. I suppose if I ever need this done again, I will have to approach you." Destino felt the urge to address what Reshino had been talking about. They were going to use the information as some sort of blackmail or something. They didn't expect to kinda relate to what she had said on their own way. "And...well..." Urgh, what was they to say? They hated this emotional stuff. That's why they never participated in it. They found it difficult to know what was the right thing to say. In this moment, they considered what Felix would do, as much as Destino hated what he had done to them. He was always trying to look out for others. He would know what to say.

…

Destino was going to regret this.

“I find what you’ve said to be…urgh…relatable. I guess other Pokémon can experience things that are similar to your own experiences. Especially in regard to hurting one you deemed close. Gross. Look at what you’ve done to me, Reshino. These awful feelings. It makes me sick feeling them.” That was the best they were going to do. Perhaps one day they could be better. But for now, this was the only time Destino had unveiled what their true self was like.
