“Circus Detectives” was written by Mike Renzi and Joey Mazzarino for season 34 of Sesame Street (2003). In the song Elmo (Kevin Clash) and Zoe (Fran Brill) sing about being detectives from the circus after they discover Rocco (Rocco), who is playing a clown, goes missing.
Since Sesame Street both often spoofs shows that preschoolers can't watch, and airs new episodes on HBO Max, how would you imagine their spoof of The Last of Us to go?
this is so right up my alley you have no idea i've been waiting for the sesame street movie for ages
i've thought of a few ideas since reading this but im so obsessed with the idea of like idk oscar making weird noises in his trash can (clicker noises) but elmo and zoe don't know what it is and they're trying to figure out how to get more information without getting too close.
Zoe's like "i'll grab a stick" and elmo's like "there's no TIME for a stick" and just throws rocco at the trashcan (ellie throwing a brick) and then Zoe gets mad at Elmo for throwing rocco (joel getting upset at ellie for having a gun/not listening)
oscar comes out of his trashcan after that to be like "stop yelling" and he's either covered in trash that makes him look like a clicker or he's eating mushrooms
alt ending, bella or pedro show up and elmo & zoe are like "there's a monster in there" and after about 2 minutes of dramatization they open the trash lid and they're like "oh! it's not a monster, it's just oscar :D" & he still has mushroom relations with trash or food
“Yeah, Elmo killed Rocco, but Elmo guesses Elmo didn’t, so what do you have on Elmo? Nothing! What, attempted murder? Elmo gets arson for the building and a few other charges. With a good lawyer - WHICH ELMO HAS - Elmo’ll be out in no time.”
