In the Xenoblade 3 DLC story, I like to think that both of them are just as ticklish as they were in their respective games.

You poke Shulk’s stomach and scribble Rex’s underarms and they just. Perish. Just like they did when they were young.

Seeing a bunch of older artworks and XB3-style model edits for Fiora inspired me to doodle my attempt at what she might look like after the timeskip. If Shulk can look like a cute mommy then it's only fair that she can too.

Decided to stick with Tanaka's Xenogears artstyle instead of Saito's, so I ended up mixing features from her XB2 concept art along with Yui Uzuki's (hey, her husband is a Citan now, who'd have seen that coming?). Gave her the prototype dress because it looks cute and comfy, and also because I'm not fashionminded enough to come up with a new one on my own.

MORE end city thoughts: They are built out of blocks that you can't get with ONLY the resources available in the end (actually, with only the resources available in the end without the end cities, you have access to no blocks at all). They've got chests, smelted things, glass. They have seeds stashed in their chests but there's no dirt in the whole dimension. So. I don't think the End has always been this barren. I think it used to have a bit more life, more kinds of rock, maybe even some water

OOOO GOOD POINT!! also if i'm not mistaken i believe the endermen used to be able to pass in and out of the end at will before being trapped there by the ender dragon, separating them from the endermen who similarly got stuck in the overworld & nether...

i wonder if the lack of communication with their home dimension simply leaves them feeling disoriented and lost, as opposed to some kind of de-evolution that a lot of ppl theorize. i think them moving and holding blocks is the only way they know how to ground themselves, remind them who they once were (builders, architects.) my personal theory is that they could communicate telepathically, but after the ender dragon took reign all they can hear is static, preventing unity, community, collaboration, ideas. sad :(

#i like the idea of them working together with shulks (or whoever else built the end cities) and living in a kind of symbiosis #i wonder if the endermen were the ones who were responsible for cultivating and caring for the fragile ecosystem in the end #foliage and rivers and whatnot #but once they stopped being able to think maybe everything else went to ruin #on a similar note i rly rly rly wish mojang had made it so that once you defeat the ender dragon the endermen behave different or smth #considering the endermen being mind controlled by the ender dragon is one of the few solid pieces of canon lore theyve given us #i wish that once you beat the game it would SOMEHOW reflect that. that somehow the world (or at least the end) would change #i realize that would take a LOT of work but it would be cool #the achievement is called Free The End but like. it's exactly the same afterward??
