Sanji Accidentally Reveals Who His Partner Is During A Livestream! (NOT CLICKBAIT)

“Welcome back to Cooking with Sanji, this time we’re Live! Thank you my mellorines for being such sweet, loyal and gorgeous fans and taking time out of your busy schedules to attend my livestream today!” Sanji crowed, making finger hearts at the camera.

He was in the location of all his videos and livestreams, his kitchen, which straddled the line between cluttered and cosy and straight out of a magazine, with its industrial grade appliances and overfull cabinets and refrigerator covered in random memorabilia, such as postcards, polaroids and for some reason, an absurd amount of fish related pictures, magnets and posters.

“Today we’ll be cooking my partner’s favorite, Onigiri!” Sanji continued, going on to list the ingredients while chatting with the stream and answering any questions that pop up and highlighted by his mods.

Sanji’s partner was an elusive mystery his fanbase (and that of the Straw Hat Pirates, the group of content creators he was part of) had long wondered about.

It was no secret the man was married, the man in question having made comments mentioning his partner more than once and flaunted his wedding ring on occasion when it was brought up, though he didn’t often wear it on his hand when he was cooking, choosing to wear it on a chain around his neck.

They knew the man lived with his partner, as he often made mention of them while filming and streaming through snarky comments that would nevertheless dissolve into lovestruck looks and loud confirmations of his love whenever one of the audience (usually a newer fan) wondered why Sanji stayed despite his complaints.

Many of his fan base assumed that the person in question was female, what with Sanji’s womanizing tendencies, believing it to be one of the female straw hats or their associates, though this was quickly disproven as they came out or started dating other people.

However, some fans still held onto this conviction, many of them shipping Sanji with his female friends, or with Pudding, a baker that Sanji had collabed with before, who had then insisted she was Sanji’s partner, despite not having a ring or being mentioned by the Straw Hats, who had confirmed they had long met Sanji's partner, before that moment.

Sanji had long since spoken out to disprove these rumors about their relationship, but still, some of his crazier fans insisted on shipping the two, along with many of Pudding's hardcore fans.

Most of Sanji's fan base however, couldn't care less about when or if he would ever reveal who the person was, or even their gender, respecting his right to his privacy.

They were more than fed on the scraps they were given, after all, as the look Sanji would have on his face and the way he gushed over his partner spoke volumes about his love for them.

At some point, Sanji’s dad, Red_Leg_Zeff, pops up on the stream’s chat and starts scolding Sanji through his comments, urged on and enabled by his mods and audience, who cheer him on and highlight his comments for Sanji to read, much to his chagrin. He complains loudly about how his old man needs to stop worrying and get off his stream and isn’t he supposed to be getting ready to open up his restaurant, the Baratie?

The stream adores the interaction, though some of the newer viewers need to be reassured that this is just the way the father-son cooking duo interact, and that they truly adore each other.

It was just the way Sanji showed love, whether to his adoptive father, his friends, or when he spoke about his partner.

Eventually the stream settles down and Zeff leaves to work, as Sanji continues to deftly shape onigiri balls as he chats with his audience.

The stream runs longer than usual, thanks to Zeff’s appearance, but it is just about to end when they hear a door opening off screen.

Sanji however doesn’t seem to notice, wrapped up in excitedly explaining what the All Blue he mentions in his bio on all his social media is to a new fan. This distraction would be his undoing.

From out of frame, a very familiar man to those who were fans of the Straw Hat Pirates as a whole appeared, sending those that noticed him into a tizzy.

It was the half naked, sweaty form of one Roronoa Zoro, the group’s resident sports addict, or as he was better known in the words of Sanji himself, ‘Directionally Challenged Mossbrain’, who often got lost and ended up being dragged back to the group by Sanji. He was also known to most as Sanji's rival.

The two were known for their spats, spitting insults and jabs at each other at the slightest slight or provocation, the arguments often devolving into brawls with kicks and hits thrown by Sanji and Zoro respectively. So it was a surprise to see the man so casually ambling about the house that was known to be shared by Sanji and his partner.

This surprise and interest continued as the man, who seemed to have just finished one of his morning workouts, walked up to Sanji as he used the towel around his neck to wipe away the sweat on his forehead.

The chat waited with bated breath for something to happen, for Sanji to snap and shout at him or something to break the tension created by the man's appearance.

And break it did, as the man bent his head down towards Sanji and tilted his face towards him, kissing him right on the lips, cutting off the man's words with the action.

The chat started screaming, filling with comments that rushed by quicker than the eye could catch. More viewers started appearing as people called their fellow fans in to see the shocking moment, the mods struggling to tame the hoards.

All this went unnoticed by the two lovers as Sanji melted into the kiss, seeming to forget where he was for a moment.

Finally they broke apart, a look of lovestruck bliss on Sanji's flushed face as he stared into his lover's eyes.

Only for him to redden furiously and start to bluster, flustered as he realized what just happened.

He started screaming, as a fans had foreseen, hitting Zoro as he shooed him away, the man calmly avoiding the hits as he scooped up an onigiri and moved away. Only to double back, calling Sanji's name, making him shout.

“What do you want, Marimo!”

At which his head was cradled and another kiss was bestowed on to his forehead, causing his squawking to redouble in its intensity and resulting in Zoro leaving his haloed kitchen chased by whatever objects were in reach that Sanji could throw.

Sanji finally calmed down at his disappearance, breathing heavily as he stared after the other man.

Finally he turned back to the screen.

A bright, furious blush creeped slowly across his face as he realized who exactly, had just seen the chaotic interaction.

He lunged forward, over the countertop and the stream ended abruptly, sending the viewers back into the waiting room, where they tittered to each other about what they had seen.

It was a moment that would not soon be forgotten, against Sanji's best wishes, and it was the most talked about, dramatic and chaotic coming out of any content creator.

Though despite its suddenness, all Zoro and Sanji's fans would agree that it was utterly, irrevocably, them.

Proposal - Dragon Luffy

You had known Luffy for a long time and dated him for several years. You knew what he was and that even though he loved you like a straw man, you suspected that you would probably never get married.

Luffy didn't think much of such things and was happy with it the way you were. When you were there for him and he was there for you. He was content to have you by his side every day and what more could he ask for?

When you sometimes talked about it in front of him, he didn't see the point. He cocked his head to the side uncomprehendingly and had no idea where you were going with that. After all, he loved you and knew that you were there for him and that you wouldn't just leave him. Why should he deal with it more?

You confided all this to Nami and Robin one afternoon over the refreshing drinks Sanji prepared for you. You didn't want to talk about it much at first, but somehow it came up. Moreover, they both knew very well how much you and the captain liked each other and how much you wanted to get married.

You didn't want to talk about it much at first, because you didn't want to make a drama out of it, and especially after your story, Nami felt like telling Luffy what she thought. Luckily you managed to stop her and talk her out of it.

However, what you had no idea was that Robin and Nami weren't going to let it go. They too knew what their mule captain was like and they knew very well how to use him to get their way.

You thought they would keep it to themselves, but you were wrong. A few days later, you went out on the deck after dinner to watch the stars.

Little did you know, however, that as soon as you left, Nami along with Sanji and the others pounced on Luffy and made him understand. Although it seemed like an impossible task at first, the word impossible did not exist with this crew.

You leaned on the railing and watched the dark sky where the stars twinkled. There was such a calmness that a moment later was cut through by a roar. The door flew open and Luffy ran out with tears in his eyes. The dragon headed straight for you and hugged you.

““Y/N… *sob* that you *sob* will never leave me? he asked you through sobs and you saw noodles running from his nose.

"Of course not. How did you think of that?" you asked soothingly, stroking his back.

"Sanji *sob* and Nami said *sob* that if I don't marry you, you can leave *sob* or someone will steal you from me," he continued to sob.

On one hand, you were happy that others thought of you like that and wanted to help you, but on the other hand, you felt sorry for Luffy, because you thought it was perhaps too cruel. It was also what he needed.

"Luffy, no one is going to steal me from you and I'm not going to leave you, do you hear me?" and you tried to wipe the tears from his face. As he was thrown from it, many more red scales appeared on his face and body.

"Do you promise?" he asked you, sniffling before looking at you with his big eyes.

“I promise,” you said softly, kissing his forehead between the horns. With that, the dragon calmed down a bit but still didn't want to let you go. What if someone stole you from him?

Instead, he completely transformed into a dragon and wrapped himself around you like a snake, protecting you from all sides and resting his head in your lap. You stroked his scales and the short fur on his head that stretched from head to tail.

After that, it stopped being talked about and you thought it was forgotten. But that's just what you thought.

You were sailing along the Grand Line when after a long time you finally came across a new island that seemed to be uninhabited. Nowhere along the coast did you see a city or a human being.

You camped on the beach in a small cove, the others went to explore the island, catch something for dinner, for wood, while you and Chopper guarded the ship.

Sanji then prepared food from the catch for the evening barbecue, which turned out to be a giant feast. However, nothing less would be enough for Luffy.

While you were eating and having a good time, he put Liffy onion rings on his plate. He stuffed a few into his mouth when he noticed one particularly small one. He took it out and began to examine it, clawing at the bumps.

“Y/N,” he turned to you with a serious expression. “I don't want you to be stolen from me, or for you to leave...” he started and took your hands. But in the blink of an eye, he stuffed food into his mouth. “I love you *munch* and when I become the pirate king, I want you to be my queen *munch munch* every king has a queen right? *gulp* will you marry me?" and showed you an onion ring.

It was a strange proposal, nothing about it, but you could tell he meant it and it got you. You didn't even hope for anything like this.

“Of course I will,” you smiled at him.

“Yosh!” he rejoiced, a giant smile spreading across his face. He was about to put the ring on you when, like a bolt from the blue, Sanji rushed at you and kicked him to the ground.

“Who let you play with my food?!” he shouted angrily before turning to you with a warm smile. “Y/N-chwan, can I get you dessert?” he asked. However, you politely refused him and instead helped Luffy to his feet. The poor dragon didn't understand what it was.

In the next town, you bought the rings that you exchanged with Luffy. The dragon took great delight in them and nearly crushed you to death in his giant embrace.

Luffy wore the ring on his hand and admired how it shone beautifully in the sun and how it reminded him of you. After a little incident where he almost lost it in battle you had to sew it to his hat so that he would have his two greatest treasures nicely in one place.

As soon as he realizes what he's been feeling all along, he drops whatever he's doing (meaning his training weights fall through the floor) and goes straight to you

He stands before you, arms crossed, not caring that you're currently enjoying a drink with the others on deck. In fact, everyone should know right away, especially the cook

"Y/n, I fucking love you!" He states. When you don't answer right away he adds "that's all".

You look around into your friends faces, feeling flustered. "Love you, too" you answer. He scoops you up into his arms and carries you away explore this new level of your relationship

Luffy

He charges, wraps all his limbs around you and endlessly repeats "I love you" while rubbing his cheek against yours

That's it, that's what he does. His approach is simple and effective.

Sanji

He loved you from the second he first saw you. But he fell even more for you when you spent time together. When he sees that there will be no other for him ever again, he invites you to a romantic and delicious candle light dinner.

He's still insecure and it scares the shit out of him. What if you refuse? What if you love him, too? What if...? But he knows that he needs to fight for his happily ever after. He pours all his love into the dinner he will serve you.

There's wine and multiple courses he's serving. He's fawning over you the whole time. At sunset he kneels in front of you, saying "Y/n, I love you!"

Too bad he tells that to a lot of women, including you, on a regular basis. "Thank you!" Is your answer.

When he realizes that his previous behaviour made his confession somewhat meaningless, he is trying really hard to get his point across. Eventually, he gets an expensive ring and waits for the best moment to propose - but with life on the sunny, the moment doesn't come. After a particularly gruesome fight he was in you tend to his wounds as usual and he thinks: now or never. His bruised fingers can hardly fumble the ring out of his pocket, his hurt legs can't kneel, so he holds up the ring, lying in bed, asking you to marry him. He passes out from blood loss and general exhaustion before he hears your answer

Law

He tries multiple times, but the words don't come out. So he stands in front of you, mumbles "I...I.. uhm..." than seems to swallow hard and goes silent.

He needs a new plan. He needs to write it down for you. And he has a great idea.

When he catches you alone, he blocks your way, clears his throat - and takes his shirt off. He points to a new heart tattoo on his chest, it bears your name. He can hardly look you in the eye and his face turns crimson. You lay your hand on his chest and kiss him as an answer. He draws you close and doesn't care who may be looking.

Look, I gotta be honest, I've never actually watched One Piece outside of the episodes that would air on Toonami back in the day, and I only really cared enough about it because my brother-in-law and my irl best friend both LOVE One Piece... and now my older brother is getting into One Piece too... but like I said in a previous post, I caved and ended up watching the One Piece Live Action (though I guess it didn't help that seeing Taryn cosplay as Zoro kinda reawakened my crush on ZoloZoro as a 4kids)... and I'm also sick right now and I have nothing better to do than write some Zoro boyfriend headcanons apparently. Aside from watching the OPLA, I did do my research on Zoro.. research being reading his page on the OP Wiki 😂😂

The way Mackenyu said that he looked at his wife and knew that he wanted to marry her (supposedly, I couldn't find any concrete sources for this save for a YouTube video using TTS... but hey, it fed my imagination for this), I felt that so much for Zoro.

Of course, it doesn't happen overnight for Zoro. It takes a while, maybe even years, for him to look at you and be like, "I wouldn't mind settling down with you if possible." Oh boy, but when it does happen, he becomes very perceptive of you.

Just like his training, he takes his relationship with you very seriously, and even if he doesn't act on his feelings for you straight away--because one, he has a strong sense of duty to Luffy first, and two, you'd be his first and maybe only romantic partner ever--he'd still reserve a certain amount of softness and gentleness to you when not in the presence of others.

Let's go back to Zoro's perceptiveness really quickly. Yes, my man can be a dumbass at the best and worst of times and we all love that about him, but when it comes down to what's important, he knows how to analyze and read the situation. So, because he views you as someone important and someone he should take seriously, he's going to personally be making sure that you're okay, mentally, emotionally, and physically. He's that dedicated to you.

There will be times where his loyalty to Luffy might have to take center stage in the relationship, especially if its during a critical juncture, rest assured that he will do his best to make it up to you afterwards. He doesn't voice it often because of his strong loyalty to Luffy, but there are brief times in which he wishes that he could just spend time with you.

Now, Zoro isn't one for PDA, he gets very embarrassed by it because showing affection in public isn't something that he's comfortable with doing, but, get him out of public and into private, that man is on you, no question. The most affection he's comfortable with showing in public is you two taking a nap together, or even sharing a bottle together (which is very hard to get him to do, the man loves his alcohol, so congrats if you manage it).

As an official romantic partner, he's actually very sweet. Yes, he can come off as very blunt and cold sometimes, but he's just being honest with you. To him, its more important to be truthful than to sugarcoat things. For you, however, he's working on saying things more gently if in the case you get hurt by his initial blunt tendencies. Past that, however, he tends to you with the same care he tends to his swords. He sees a fruit or snack that you adore in the markets when he's helplessly lost? He'll absolutely buy it for you. Finds an item you've been wanting for a while? Don't worry, he's already paying for it. He finds out that you maybe feel a bit homesick? He'll begrudgingly ask Sanji to cook one of your favorite hometown dishes. He sees that you're feeling down on yourself? He's there to either quietly lend an ear or his presence, whichever you need. My man is an attentive boyfriend.

Also also, Zoro is a man of few words, so don't expect to hear him say, "I love you," very often, but that's okay. He's a man of few words, but his actions speak so much for him. You can feel him say those words in the way he kisses you thoughtfully, in the way he holds you so securely to him when you two nap or sleep together, in the way he dutifully monitors your alcohol intake (if you drink alcohol of course), in the way he tends to you carefully if you get hurt in a fight. To him, words are useless and actions mean so much more.

In other words, Zoro would make the best boyfriend in his special own way.

You didn't believe that your life became this way, you sat on the deck watching the sea, it's relaxing, you wanna leave.. But you can't. Why, why can't you leave? Zoro, the former pirate hunter is stopping you, it's been almost 9 months since youve been in this.. World. And it looks like zoro, you catched his attention. "..i think I'm going back in my real world after this month.. im feeling the same " Symptoms" When I got here..ahh.. Can't wait.." you said, in a tired but excited word. "Hah?" Zoro, that acted like your older brother responded, he was clearly not happy that you're finally coming back to that..world you live in. "I'm coming back to my own world! I can't wait to go back.. I think I have.. About 3 and a half days till I get back" You giggled, happy, excited, zoro was the opposite. He wanted you to stay a bit longer..wait no, actually he wants you to stay here. Like you actually was born to this world except of that.. World you live in, he wants you to keep trainibg with him, nap, eat. Just like any big brother would.

After 4 days you didn't come back. At all, when you opened your eyes, excited to see your room, your.. Really own room. But except you woke up in his room, seeing his three swords really work you up. What happened? Why didn't you come back?

"Your awake, glad. The cook said breakfast ready, come on get up" Why is he acting..so normal? Your so confused. A lot of question filled your mind that was left unanswered. What.. Happened..?

"Y/n-chan, it's time for snacks! Here you go.." He's so gentle with you, he's like a brother to you..but everytime you try to go to an adventure to anyone especially with luffy.. He's always with you. saying that he wants to come with you, just so you and the person you were with doesn't get lost.. except nami or Robin. He covers it up with wanting to protect you guys.

"Sanji.. I feel so.." As your vision blacked out. Your head fell on the counter, he slightly bit his bottom lip. He left the stove, and looked at you, with care and gentleness "I'm sorry.. Haunted house (Zosan X reader)

Sanji X Zoro X Reader, polly relationship, established relationship. Reader is GN

Plot: Reader drags Zoro and Sanji into their first haunted house.

Warning: swearing, scary stuff.

Halloween is your favorite time of the year so when you heard that Zoro and Sanji have never been in a haunted house or haunted maze before you begged them to join you. It didn't take long to convince Sanji telling him how scared you would be with out him, it was a big lie you love horror mazes and yes they scare you but thats the fun part. you tried the same with Zoro telling him you needed your big strong man to protect you form the monsters but he knew you were lieing. You all made it to an island that had a early Halloween event on with escape rooms, costume contest and a haunted house. it was time to show the boys what they were missing out on. "Ok lets get going" you cheered ready to leave the ship with Sanji at your side but Zoro didn't move, still laying in the grass portending to sleep. "Zoro come on" you called out only earning a huff in response. "Come on zoro, if im going you have to go too" Sanji yelled, he's trying not to be scared but he is and would feel a lot safer with the both of you with him. "I said im not going" Zoro groans from the floor, you were about to walk over to him when Sanji put a hand on your shoulder a cheeky smile forming on his face "Fine fine. come on Y/N, lets leave the scaredy-cat alone" sitting up straight and staring daggers at the two of you Zoro growls low "Im not scared" you giggle a little, you should have said this thing before, tryst Sanji to know what buttons to push "Sure your not honey, thats why your staying here on the ship and not coming with your lovers" Sanji waves as he turns to leave swaying his hips a bit. "Im not scared of some stupid haunted house" the swords man stand walking over to the two of you "I'll show you, you'll both be clinging to me for deal life" he almost spits taking both your hands and walking off the ship leading you away from the town "Wrong way Zo." you comment earning a grunt and a sharp turn.

The line to the haunted house was long so Sanji lite a cigarette looking around the place seeing all kinds of decorations and scare actors. "So what's this one about again?" Zoro comments trying to make sense of the area "The women in white" you state looking over at the building the maze was in, it looked like an old house but lights flashing reds and blues in the windows, shadows moving and screams coming form inside. "Is she pretty?" Sanji asks earning an elbow to the size from Zoro making you laugh "Yes she's very pretty but depending on who you talk two her story changes slightly. it always starts off the same though, she was a poor woman who got married to a rich man, they ended up having two kids but when she got older he either cheated with a younger woman or divorced her and married a younger woman. in deep depression she killed her own kids by drowning them and then killed herself." you state moving with the line the two listening to you "Some say she'll hitch hike asking people to take her own and try and seduce them, if they take her up on the offer she kills them, others say is you cheat she will come for you or she will come after children to replace her own" Their looks of surprise catches you off guard and you wonder if you did or said something wrong "What?" you finally mange to ask only for sanji to sign and pinch the bridge of his nose "I know you like horror stuff my love but isn't that a bit too much?" he asks putting out his cigarette and throwing it into the nearest bin. "How the hell do you know all this stuff?" Zoro asks putting an arm around your shoulder "Its an old story from back home. its been adapted over the years for movies and tv shows though." Zoro laughs at your comments before kissing your forehead "you have a fucked up home" Sanji joins the two of you taking your hand in his and laughing "Sorry love but he's right" you couldn't help but laugh too.

Finally at the front of the line you three were approached by a workman who looking Zoro up and down "Swords please sir" before Zoro could protest you patted his back "Don't worry you'll get them back after" with a huff Zoro handed his swords over but not before threatening the man. Both you and Sanji apologies before walking up to the door of the house, Sanji's hand now gripping yours as Zoro followed the two of you in. Going threw the first room was easy, it was just a living room with a static tv and red lights, sanji still clinged onto your arm for deal life zoro didn't seem too interested but you couldn't wait for the scares. moving form room to room it got more haunting, dummy's as dead body's in bath tubs and girls popping out form time to time in white dressing and horrifying make up. you and sanji would scream only for you to laugh after, sanji's grip on you got stronger and he started staying behind you more often. Zoro on the other hand seemed to enjoy it, laughing at the two of you getting scared.

Nearing the end of the maze you made it to an outside area surrounded by fake trees and bushes the stars and full moon being your only light. A large demon like creature jumped out scaring the hell out of you, Sanji and Zoro, Sanji almost jumped out of his skin letting go of you and jumping into Zoro's arms, his legs wrapped around the sword mans waits and head buried in the nook between zoro's shoulder and neck. You jumped back hiding behind zoro's arm that had moved in front of you while zoro's other hand went to were his swords would normally be. after a few seconds you let out a laugh the demon bowing before walking back to his spot. "You two ok?" you laughed out seeing both boys frozen in place, Zoro looked ready to kill while Sanji tried to calmly breath while his face was still deeply in Zoro's neck. "come on were almost out" you take Zoro's hand in yours while Zoro's arm going under Sanji's butt to keep him there all three of you take a breath before moving forward.

seconds later you were all out the haunted house area where Zoro got his swords back before you all walked down the street "That was fun" you giggle hearing Sanji muffle something into Zoro's neck "What was that sweetie?" you asks the cooks face finally pulling away form Zoro's neck to look at you, his face was as white as a sheet and the look of fear still on his face "Can we go back to the ship now?" Zoro let out a laugh causing Sanji to hit his shoulder "Stop laughing you were scared too" the three of you continue to walk while the two playfully argue over who was more scared "So im guessing you wont be doing that again?" you asks out of the blue earning different answers, Sanji of cause said no but Zoro said yes "So you are more scared than me?" Zoro teased a cocky smile on his face "Fine yes.. happy now." the cook shoved his head back into Zoro's neck hiding his blush form the two of you. "What if Zoro holds you next time. you seemed better like this" you ask seeing that even though the two bickered Sanji didn't make any attempted to move away form zoro. Legs still wrapped around the swordsman's waist being carried around. "Its ok scaredy-cat iv got you" Zoro laughs out hearing a grumble of what could only be nasty words coming from the cook while he pulls you in closer letting go of your hand and placing it around you waist.

They are saved by the crystal when they fall down the mine, floating down, deep into the pit

They’re eventually captured by Big Mom’s forces, they show Sanji the robot and reveal he is now the rightful heir to Laputa- although he is not told what exactly caused his family’s downfall in the end

Zoro is put in the dungeons and tied up and he tries to escape to save Sanji but no luck. He’s forced to take some money and go home.

Super cool scene where they fly in on the fortress - Sanji accidentally activates the killer robot with the ancient phrases and is shocked by the destruction as the robot tries to protect him- Zoro manages to save Sanji but they drop the crystal behind

Working together with the strawhats, Sanji shares what he saw with their navigator Nami in terms of directions and they manage to tail Big Mom’s ship

Airship shenanigans and outfit change (Sanji in the big poofy pants!!) Sanji starts cooking for everyone and the strawhats never want him to leave! Meanwhile Zoro helps Usopp and Franky with running the machinery

Cute scene where they snuggle under a shared blanket in the crows nest during night’s watch

They’re attacked by General Charlotte’s ship and Sanji and Zoro are carried away by a storm in the crow’s nest, partly because of Zoro’s bad sense of direction when using the controls - he sends them straight into a huge cloud

They wake up on Laputa, tied to each other, and Sanji is trembling, overcome with bad memories as they go exploring, and Zoro holds his hand the whole time.

Charlottes forces invade Laputa but Bege betrays them and takes control of the fortress.

Meanwhile, the strawhats had been captured: Zoro goes to help them escape and arms them - but Sanji gets captured by Bege who needs him to access the royal areas of Laputa.

Bege starts playing around with Laputa’s destructive power and Sanji bites his hand and steals the crystal, running away

Meanwhile Zoro is in hot pursuit, gets lost and nearly falls off of Laputa (it keeps moving on its own!!) and starts crawling back up through some weird tunnels

Bege is shooting and Sanji, cutting off his braids, and Zoro gets to him just in time and bargains for just a hug to say goodbye

Sanji teaches him the ancient words and together they trigger Laputa’s destruction

They manage to get away and are found by the strawhats, who managed to get lots of gold

And thus begins their adventures as pirates!

Gosh i wish I could imitate the Ghibli style it would look so cool to see the strawhats as Dola pirates!!!

Idk if you'd be up to it. But for a while, I've been off the Zosan train. They were my favorite. I'd like to get back, but to be honest, whole cake was really the damaging blow. The separation was tough but there was still hope on Zou. So what I'm trying to say is, how do I comprehend whole cake from a shipper side. Just wondering but I guess, at the end, it's mostly a me thing, and maybe I'll get back there. Still enjoy the ship. I wouldn't want to see them without the other, but... (choose to ignore if you want)

Well, shipping goggles secure on my face, here’s how I look at whole cake island/Zoro staying behind

It’s clear on Zou that Zoro is a) worried about Sanji after hearing about what happened and b) angry at Sanji for making them deal with Big Mom right before having to face Kaido

Both emotions come from a place of caring. He cares about Sanji and is worried about his situation, he cares about Sanji so is angry that he left.

As for why Zoro didn’t go to Whole Cake Island despite caring a lot about Sanji, there can be a few reasons for that

1) Zoro takes his role as crew protector seriously. Someone needs to look out for the half of the crew going straight to Wano, and with both Luffy and Sanji on WCI, that someone has to be Zoro. And Zoro knows that if something happened to the others while he was on WCI saving Sanji, Sanji would never forgive him for picking him over them — self sacrificial bastard that he is— so Zoro goes to Wano.

2) Zoro is angry. Sanji ran off to get married to Big Mom’s daughter, so his anger — at both Sanji and the situation — is understandable. The initial plan on WCI is to sneak in, get Sanji, and sneak back out, so Zoro feels his anger would hinder that.

Zoro’s anger here does come from a place of love. He’s angry because he loves Sanji, and Sanji ran off to get married. Zoro needs some space to clear his head, and is taking the time going to Wano to do that.

(Also as far as why Sanji left to get married is concerned, remember that he never planned on getting married. He agreed to go with Bege to protect the rest of the crew, and planned to just tell Judge to fuck off and go home. He only agreed after Judge threatened Zeff and shackled his hands, putting him in a desperate situation that he felt there was no way out of.)

3) Zoro trusts Luffy to bring him home. Zoro feels he doesn’t need to go to WCI because he knows and trusts Sanji will come back. Sanji said in his note that he would come back, and Zoro has no reason to doubt him. He trusts Sanji to do what he has to to deal with his past, and then come back to him. He doesn’t mind being separate from Sanji for a bit, because he knows Sanji will always come back to him

And I think how they act around each other when they finally do reunite in Wano, between easily falling back into their bickering/fighting side by side song and dance while saving Toko, watching each others backs during the King and Queen fight, the Death Pact, says it all. They missed each other during their separation, the trust and love they have for each other is still there, and they’re more than happy to pick up right where they left off.

War/Western, sci-fi horror, kung fu, medical drama, and now cooking! Once again, Undead Unluck refuses to be held down by the conventions of storytelling and enters a new genre. Kururu's idol arc is looking more and more likely by the week!

It's pretty funny to me that Enjin is a chef considering that when I was writing my One Piece Fandom Negators set, I gave Sanji Unburn as a way to justify him not being burnt by his own flames and used it to adjust temperatures at will. Maybe Enjin's new interpretation of Unburn will let him do exactly what I predicted!

I can definitely sympathize with Fuuko roaming the world chasing the high of a long-lost "ultimate ramen recipe," I'm still looking for curry to rival my usual from a local restaurant that closed in my hometown several years ago now. Of course, I'm not an immortal who was able to live through the major history of curry, so I can't exactly say I have the same level of dedication as Fuuko

As usual, I don't have too much commentary for a set-up chapter like this, as we don't have any of the key details yet. I certainly am immediately endeared to Enjin, as I always knew I would be given Tozuka's track record. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the themes of cooking tie into his story, like how the loss of whoever he was cooking for and the loss of his ability to cook at all are intertwined

The main thing that kind of confused me about this chapter was Enjin's response to the guy who found a bug in his ramen. Usually when a character says something like that, it turns out that it's a trick to either humiliate the chef or to extort money from them, and that seemed like it was going to be the case here since he was demanding compensation, but Enjin's response was that the guy should be willing to risk his life while eating his food rather than denying that he'd ever let a bug get in his dishes. That kind of implies that the bug really did get into the food, which is a shocking thing for such a proud chef to allow

For now I choose to believe that Enjin simply wasn't dignifying such a blatantly false accusation with acknowledgment and instead went straight to punishing him for desecrating the food. That feels like the kind of thing that a delinquent stereotype would do, so unless Tozuka confirms one way or the other, that's my headcanon for that scene

On a smaller note, love how chummy Gina is with Rip right off the bat. Her sitting on his lap was surprising considering that he's a married man and she clearly loves Fuuko, but again I choose to believe that a) she's just friendly like that and b) she knows she can't sit in Fuuko's lap cus she might trigger major Unluck. "If a lock of hair touching Rip summoned a meteor, what would happen if my hair accidentally brushed against Fuuko's face???" I'd be pretty wary of cuddling up to my crush if I knew how much they liked me would be proportional to the damage we might accidentally incur

Overall, this arc is looking like it'll be a relatively short and simple one to help us relax after the high tension of the Sick Arc and before whatever's coming up next, a nice little breather between the big moments. Whether it's big or small, though, I'm really looking forward to seeing Enjin in action next week

Unaek and Sanji:

Two kids. Two girls.

Delphinium Prince. Red hair like her mother with her father's eyebrows (obviously just imagine it because the Picrew doesn't have that option) She's got her mother's fair skin and lots of freckles. Delphi loves the outdoors, is kind to animals, is soft-spoken, and a gentle soul. She loves to cook and surprise her family with dishes straight from Unaek's garden. A lover at heart, but no good at flirting. Luckily, she probably won't need much help in that department. Loves animals and will bring in little stray kittens or field mice or frogs.

Since neither of her parents took their own birth name, she grows up as Delphi Prince. Being named after her father's favorite flower, the blue Delphinium.

Liatris Prince. Takes after her father's blonde hair and a bit less of her mother's freckles. She's the lover and the flirt. Very good at smooth talking and especially loves cooking. (The sisters often combine their talents for gardening and cooking much like their parents did.) More outgoing and flirty of the two, and often the better voice of reason. Also a big animal lover like her parents. She is the sibling that can get out of trouble pretty easily.

Named after some beautiful flowers, also taking the last name Prince. The Liatris flower symbolizes Joy and Happiness.

Unaek and Luffy:

Two kids. One girl, One boy.

Rosie Prince. Named after Unaek's half-sister, Rose. Rose has the innocent face of her mother and the mischievous mind of her father, making her really good at getting into and out of trouble. She's a natural-born leader who likes getting into adventures, especially in nature. She likes going into places she shouldn't be and feels very at home on the land or the sea. She's got a sarcastic mouth and knows how to stand her ground, often being the one to stand up for her siblings if things go wrong, and doesn't mind swinging a fist at someone who's wronging them. She has her father's hair and her mother's eyes and freckles.

She actually alternates her last names. Unaek's married name is Prince, but she also goes by Monkey (D) Rose. She's not sure if she should commit to the middle initial of D, but usually includes it because she likes how it sounds.

Monkey D. Ace has all the fire and leadership as his father. He is energetic and outspoken, loud, and friendly. He cares for many people, whether friends or strangers, and thinks that no animal is too small or strange to care about. He likes bugs and small rodents, has a knack for getting into trouble (which his friends and siblings usually get him out of) and definitely inherited his father's appetite (and metabolism, apparently.)

There was quite a bit of debate over what to name their son, but after many suggestions from both of them, some sweet, some funny (Beetle was an option for quite some time), the couple took one look at their baby boy and Luffy decided right there that he would be Monkey D. Ace.

Jocasta and Usopp:

One kid. One girl.

Mary Erotas. Taking the last name based on the island where her parents fell in love, Mary is as much of an adventurous worrywort as her parents. She's the girl who always has a roll of bandages on her hip pouch, who will always patch up her friends, who brings extra snacks so everyone has something, and will be a shoulder to cry on. Mary is a kind woman, dorky, nerdy, easy to talk to, and a little bit accident prone from time to time, especially as her friends begin trying exceedingly dangerous challenges, but somehow she always ends up joining in anyway, trailing along behind them and clinging to a hand for support. She gets her embellished story-telling from her father.

She was named in honor of the ship that started Usopp's pirating journey, The Going Merry.

Fun fact I was pretty against this ship at the beginning when I first started watching (now it's my fave op ship lmao). I think the turning point for me was maybe Water 7/Enies Lobby when they really start working together, and Zoro worries about Sanji on the sea train. But when it became my favorite was probably the Nothing Happened scene and also when Kuma is chasing the strawhats in Sabaody. Just the way they clearly care so much for each other and their dreams where Zoro first protects Sanji in Thriller Bark, and then Sanji is worried enough about Zoro in Sabaody to protect him over Nami??? Yeaaaahhhh I started falling down the Zosan well pretty deep after that lmao

I think what makes Zosan fun is that they fight ALL the time but it's like...play fighting lmao?? If you've ever had cats where they just bat at each other and wrestle but they don't really hurt each other, it's all in good fun and then they snuggle up to each other? That's the Zosan dynamic to me lmaooo. But also under that I think they trust and respect each other more than anyone, both in a fight but also with what they view as the worst parts of themselves. Lots of potential with them I think (also VERY interested to see how the Wano oath will come back around because it will...)

Hmm I think sometimes when people write Zosan they either lean too much into domestic sappy lovers or just straight up toxic lmao. They are the pinnacle of cranky old married couple so when they don't make fun of each other anymore or playfight well..that's not Zosan lol, but then sometimes people go way to far the other way where they don't like each other at all and scream at each other and miscommunicate and that's just not any fun either, there's a balance.

Don't Ship It

Usually I don't like an aged up ship unless you're aging up both characters, it's hard for me to get past an age gap that big because it colors so much of the dynamic. Even aging them up I think I couldn't stop imagining Reigen as the cringefail older brother/mentor type of figure to Mob.

Hmm honestly maybe aging Reigen down to Mob's age might be ok? As like a childhood friends kind of thing instead? I still don't think I would see that as romantic though.

Ship it

God, what doesn't make me ship it? I know Ij ust made a post yesterday where I was like "You could interpret them as brothers!" and like, you COULD but this feels like the most obvious romantic subtext of all time with every scene they have. But I started shipping them when I read Hidden Inventory/Premature Death, and then the ship became really solidified with a JJK 0 reread and with the Gojo sealing scene. Gay disasters of all time.

I've talked about this a bit before but just the way that there is nobody else for them, nobody will understand Gojo like Geto does and vice versa. They are a pair, until they suddenly aren't, and neither really know how to navigate that. I think they embody a lot of the core themes of JJK really well, about love and death and corruption and loneliness. I think there are just a lot of different avenues to explore them, from pre HI arc to Geto's descent to the 10 years in between to JJK 0 and to Shibuya. They really do it all lmao, and of course, I am tragedy enjoyer first and foremost and they deliver.

Geto gets woobified waaaayyy too much by satosugu lovers. He is undeniably a victim under the jujutsu system and his struggles are very painful and even sympathetic, but I think some satosugu fans really erase his flaws way too much and end up blaming Gojo for everything? Which I think is wildly unfair.
