So apparently the Wanted posters for Faceless say to “Immediately Contact Nearest Sheriff’s Office,” (and we all know how he feels about Bandits,) so I can just imagine like

The Faceless Bandit lacks the scar on the cheek

This detail was pointed out to me by Halfusek - if you look at the remaining part of the Faceless head, you can see that the scar on his cheek is missing:

I’ve mentioned in the past that some of the posters for the show depict the Bandit with the scar, and some without it, which indicates that his look changed between the season.

It seems that Faceless Bandit is one of models of the Bandit from before the look was updated to include the scar. This would make him very old! We can see a scar-less Bandit depicted in the poster for Bank Burglin’ Bandit episode, back when the Banker still had his old appearance.

The puppet was likely decommissioned after it suffered the damage to its face. A new Bandit puppet was created, this time with a scar on its cheek, which the showrunners decided to make a permanent part of the Bandit’s appearance.

It’s possible that the scar was not originally intended to be part of the new Bandit’s appearance, but the puppet was damaged by the Faceless, who felt angry and betrayed over being replaced. Since then, multiple other Bandit puppets were made, each one with the scar - as we can see a lifeless bandit puppet with the scar in our changing room.

A major theme in the game is the characters beating it into the Bandit’s face that he’s insignificant and replaceable. They may be doing it on purpose to ensure that he doesn’t grow too arrogant and attached to his role as the star of the show, following in the footsteps of the Faceless Bandit.

"Howdy Partner~!" (Showdown Bandit Shipping: Benny x Jack)

Got inspired by @yaoimama113  to make this. Yeah, I'm on that boat too, shush.

I kind of see their relationship as Benny (The Bandit) being affectionate and sweet to Jack (The Faceless Bandit), despite the possibility of having all his strings ripped off, but he knows Jack is just a confused softie that just needs some attention deep inside, sometimes he'd tease him about playing hard to get. Jack may act like a prickly rose towards Benny, but he does care for Benny very much, and secretly has a big soft spot for the little guy, even goes out of his way to protect him whenever in a dangerous situation.

And before you guys start screaming to me that The Faceless Bandit is a relentless killer, they hate each other, and the shipping makes NO sense whatsoever (Cause I know how some people can be when it comes to shipping stuff like this...), just remember that this none of this is canon! :D

And friendly reminder from this post that has no notes because Tumblr is dumb and occasionally goofs shit up (click here). Benny is 18 and Jack is 19. I will be making an age chart for the rest later.

Just letting everyone know, I just see Bandit being someone older, rather than a child like some people see it as. Of course not trying to insult anyone's head canon of Bandit being young and innocent. I find it cute actually XD, it's just not my head canon for the Bandit.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Faceless Bandit is blind and on the run from Miss Undertaker

(Author’s note: For simplicity’s sake I’ll be referring to Faceless Bandit as just ‘Faceless’ and player character Showdown Bandit as just ‘Bandit’) At the beginning of the game we can hear Miss Undertaker is clearly searching for someone.

Some have theorized it might be Penny because she apparently has no strings and her little self mutilation was a clear violation of the rules. But I don’t really think that’s the case.

Penny actually has strings, they’re just super hard to see and although her gouging out her eyes was probably not supposed to happen, there’s no indication that it was either against the rules or that she’s on the chopping block for it. Miss Undertaker doesn’t seem particularly interested in her either. The only time she even mentions her is in this note of complaint.

Now Faceless on the other hand... He’s clearly stringless and does not give a damn about the rules. He kills whatever gets in his way, including Bandit, the star of the show and he randomly appears wherever he likes. The way Miss Undertaker adamantly reminds you about how “the show must go on”, I’d think this sort of behavior would really be a thorn in her side.

Add to that the fact that his wanted poster is plastered onto the wall just about everywhere in Showdown Valley and we have a pretty good idea who it might have been she was really searching for in the opening cutscene.....

Now onto the “blind” part. That one’s explained easily enough: The guy has half his face missing, including his eyes.

And as Penny was kind enough to inform us, the puppets do need these to see.

If you pay attention to his walk cycle, he seems to use the scythe he’s holding as a crutch - or a white cane.

Now imagine being blind in a place like Showdown Valley, with a bunch of blood-hungry, aggressive stringless running around and the resident executioner hot on your heels. Heck, the way he looks, she probably got to him once already, we know Miss Undertaker isn’t exactly...gentle with the stringless. You’d probably lash out at everything that comes near you. Which Faceless does. He never seems to target Bandit specifically, he just strikes at the puppets that get in his way. Because for him it really is a “big scary world”.
