Thinks about the fact that Levi didn't even consider obeying Ursula when she made requests. They had no compulsion to obey her. So them going back to Azi wasn't feeling like they had to because they were a robot. It was "I had to" because they had to make sure she was okay. They had to make sure she wasn't hurt. The fact they recognized her BLOOD. Do you hear me. They went back not because they had to but because they wanted her to live. Guys. The care was REAL they really care about her I'm insane

It really irritates me when people call Levi a he. They is used in the actual show consistently yet everyone I've heard talk about Levi immediately goes for he. I can logically imagine that it's because Levi is usually a masculine name, but by that same logic Levi has the same voice as Fiona, the woman who programmed them. As an agender person, Levi is one of the few robots I've identified with and it sucks that people will continue to ascribe gender to people that are nonbinary.

The conflict coming down to Levi and Hollow is so perfect.

Levi is a creation of humanity altered by Vesta. Hollow is a creature of Vesta altered by humanity.

Levi alters Vesta in turn, giving rise to a new species. Hollow alters Kamen in turn, giving him visions and guiding him.

Levi becomes a part of Vesta's ecosystem through the white lilly fungus, helping it grow. Hollow is torn away from Vesta's ecosystem through Kamen, killing more and growing more than it should be able to.

Hollow destroys Levi, which is the catalyst for Levi's transformation, becoming more than they were before. Levi destroys what Hollow has become, freeing Hollow and Kamen from each other's influence.

Two perfect arcs, coming together beautifully in two perfect confrontations.

God!!! The inverse of The Hollow killing Levi and then Levi taking The Hollow and Kamen apart.

This being made of someone who couldn't move on killing this person who's essentially the allegory for change. Killing them because their voice hurts to hear. Because it's a reminder of their worst mistake, of what their own selfishness cost them. Levi is just,, the epitome of change. Of someone who grew out of a sad existence and flourished, acknowledged the pain and horrors and then went "But it's so beautiful. Everything is so beautiful. I want to see it all. I don't want to be shut off. I want to see it all. I want to experience every sensation. I want to learn what it all means." And this is the direct opposite of kamen/direct ,, how do I say this. Opposer??

1. Voice of his wife that he got killed. That he treated horribly. That he has so much guilt around. Everything he's running from. Everything that hurts to remember.

2. Someone who was so disconnected from everything, like he was desperately trying to be. And yet when he tried to cut himself off from all his emotions, the second Levi finds a way to feel them they're terrified of not being able to feel ever again. "Make the pain stop, cut me off from everything so I don't have to feel anything" vs "I want to feel everything, I want to see it all."

3. Someone who was changed so much when he's stuck in the same ways. Who's whole thing is changing and adapting when he's so...stuck. So desperately attached to anyone else. Never letting go of that.

So Kamen/Hollow killing Levi , this person who adapted and moved on and saw beauty in everything, not just a living reminder of a mistake? Aurhfhfjd.

And don't even get me STARTED on that fucking scene where they defeat the Hollow. Because what really defeats them is. Look at all this change. Look at all this beauty and pain and hope and new beginnings and look at the reality of what you did. You got Fiona killed. Look at all this warmth in the world you're trying to escape from. Look at all this shit you're hiding from. Grow up. Face your mistakes and the fact you can grow. Live with it.

Am I reaching? Probably. But god, this fucking show. I love this fucking scene. You know what scene. Ohhhh my god. I know I'm being pretentious but in my defense it FUCKS.
