"Have you ever heard of cantarella?" Vetrix softly asks, pouring some tea into a far too fancily crafted teacup. It’s a quarter past 2, and they’re sitting in the lab. It feels almost alien now, but at least things are back to normal (at least as normal as they can be).

“Cantarella? Would you mind telling me?” He picks up the freshly brewed tea, pressing it to his lips.

“It was something used by the Borgia family in Italy a long, long time ago. I learned it while traveling.” Vetrix reaches for the plate of cookies besides Faker, taking one for himself. “A poison.”

“So, how do like the tea?” There’s silence for a few minutes, just the sounds of the record player thats been skipping the same sequence of notes for well over half an hour. “I made them myself, it’s quite hard to bake with this body now.”

“I hope they don’t taste funny.”

Silence. Still silence. Until it is broken by Faker uttering the words.

“What a coincidence. I poisoned those cookies.” He’s met by the sudden, soft embrace of him. Vetrix doesn’t expect it, but it’s far too warm and inviting to reject. “You don’t say.”

“So, what do you think?”

“Their delicious.” And he keeps chewing. “So’s the tea.”

White Valentine's Response!

It's currently 1PM where I live, so safe to say it's White Day! I've had a lot of fun with this event and want to thank @megane-shipping and @nougatships for organising it.

Note to the recipient: I've made sure to do my homework based on what the sender told me about you while I helped her write this letter. She had quite a fair bit to say when we spoke; sounds like you two are the sort of couple who are strong as is but even more so together. @scientistships, this one is just so happy to be with you; you'll have to forgive her, though, since she doesn't seem like the type to be as open as she is now. She just hopes you like it.

Happiest of White Days. Forgive me for taking as long as I have to perfect my response; not only was I unaware of the tradition of returning a Valentine's Day gift, but you must understand that I'm new to such grand displays of affection. Still, for you, I'll try virtually anything at least once.

mouse: What gets your f/o get shy or quiet or flustered?

I find it so that compliments usually gets Apollo the most flustered when around me. Whenever I point out something I really like about him, or generally gush to him about how much I love him, he tends to get red faced and nervous! It’s absolutely adorable and just makes me want to shower him in love and praise even more than before!

I also noticed that truly,,, kisses are his downfall! Rightfully so, because they’re my weakness as well! If we were to just give eachother gentle pecks, we always find ourselves feeling the touch linger on our skin,,, we’re actually really similar in that case! I love giving him adorable ‘mwah’ kisses along his jaw and cheeks, but I also love just giving him deep and passionate kisses on his lips. Feeling his breath ghost against mine as his face heats up completely.

12. Sexuality hc!

Vetrix has always been very gay to me. I always see people with these headcanons of him having a wife or smth but honestly I CANNOT see him with a woman. He’s very unashamedly a boykisser. His kids are all test tube babies, he’d sooner de-transition than willingly sleep with a woman.

He gets kind of weird around woman, kind of a mysognist because of internalized transphobia he needs to get over. Doesn’t excuse it but he’s trying </3

And technically not a sexuality hc but he’s very transmasc to me (or agender, depends on how I feel)! He uses He/They/It/Xe + Neos because why the fuck not. I like headcanoning old men as trans!! Just come and stop me >:3

5. Favourite Ship

Fathershipping, undoubtably. I know Most sub Fans are crazy about scientistshipping (which I do ship, to a lesser scale) but I find Fathershipping cuter. It’s funnier because the dub leans farther into Fathershipping and the sub leans more into scientistshipping. For context in episode 55, when Byron and Kazuma sit by the fire he makes a comment about faker being a good friend, but in the dub it’s changed so that Kazuma talks about how much of a good friend Byron is or smth to that effect. Funny detail I noticed :3

Like. Byron literally ASKS Kazuma to let him go into the portal (where he could’ve presumably died) because he wanted him to be safe instead of him. It takes SO MUCH to want to die for someone. There were also two tents in episode 55. THEY ARE LITERALLY IMPLIED TO HAVE SLEPT TOGETHER AUGHHH

I could go on a bigger tangent in another post (which I’m sure I have), but I just think their sweet.

Also I Hope I don’t get in trouble for this but their dynamic post-Barian world/astral world is just that one image of a hamster trying to eat a whole banana. Yes im implying what you think I am. Don’t ask

23. Future Headcanon

You know how Vetrix wasn’t reverted back to his original body? And how he’s just this stupid little baby man who has to go through puberty again? Yeah. He grows up into the most INSUFFERABLE (albeit like 50 year old) teenager, starts listening to Linkin Park and finally gets his drivers license for like the second time. He’s still very boykisser tho!! Tbh it’s only really exacerbated because hormones

28. The most unnecessary thing they did?

The whole possessing Shark thing. As much as I think him gaslighting Shark into thinking the evil homophobic rat killed his sister, what was the point lol. Like he could’ve stopped faker without Shark either way??

Also on another point but I have an issue with how Zexal villains are just treated as borderline evil until their redeemed and just do nothing of substance again. Vetrix is one of the worst cases of this. I could go off about this more in another post if asked.
