We gotta accept the Scooby Doo movies went downhill after Cyberchase cause some 'genius' really went and said let's NOT have them face off against the supernatural anymore.

So in my Monster Mysteries reboot everything after cyber chase is being 'rewritten' by me.

Legend of the Vampire: Keep Hex Girls and Vampires just let them be actual vampires Daphne (professionally trained vampire slayer) fights. Hell it could be her first vampire kill as a slayer.

Monster of Mexico: I don't remember much of this but I am not a fan of the Chupacabra design and completely redid it based off its various descriptions online. And also that little Chihuahua is cute but she needs to Back Off.

The Loch Ness Monster: Completely new plot, humans steal Nessie's baby and while Fred, Velma, and Daphne try to solve this mystery and not get eaten, Scooby and Shaggy befriend Nessie Jr.

anyways,, i quite like Loch Ness Monster!! it has one of my favorite sd monster designs! i've seen some ppl complain about the janky 3D animation, but i think it works well, and adds to the creepiness factor. i mean, lookit this thing!!

it's so fuckin cool!!

also, the songs? bangers! brothers forever always gets me cause it's such a good Shaggy and Scooby song <33 and that whole chase sequence is rly good! I love the chunk of the castle falling off!

the movie def has the stereotype problem the movies of this era had tho. and one of my least favorite sd tropes. "Scooby and Shaggy, who are known to eat the most disgusting food combos possible, and revolted by some cultural food" idk what this movie says, those 2 would be chowing down lmao.

i think Del was a surprisingly good character. i can definitely see the writers rly messing it up. it's also interesting he makes an appearance in another movie. it's be cool to see him make a comeback.

anyway, i think the reveal is super funny too. "i made a fake monster to convince this guy the monster exists". girl u did not have to do all that. and also,, you did not have to destroy the games lmao. shout out to the random brothers who helped her too, kings of shenanigans.

and finally, i always liked this one for including the little tidbit if actual nessie. i'm a sucker for real monsters in sd!

Rewatching the 90's direct to video Scooby-Doo movies, and I'm realizing just how obvious Daphne's design was influenced from Gale Weathers

#dumb stuff #horror movies #scooby doo #watching the witch's ghost for the autumn setting and i didn't watch it as much for some reason as a kid #my go-to scooby movies were zombie island and cyber chase and loch ness monster #but zombie island and witch's ghost it's the most obvious where you can see the gale influence #makes sense. scream was an absolutely monumental movie in the 90's that we don't really understand nowadays #i think it's popularity was only surpassed by blair witch near the end of the 90's after the glossy slashers of the 90's were oversaturated #but i'm getting off topic. anyways i can see daphne punching gale in the face
