Thinking about aromanticism and autosexuality/autoromatinicism

Last night, I had an interesting conversation with my friends about self-attraction, the auto spectrum, romance, relationships, etc. It all started with a discussion on my feelings about the selfcest discourse and my confusion on how depictions of one's self-love/self-eroticism are seen as problematic by antis (selfcest being compared to inc3st despite selfcest not being possible in real life as well as its closest comparison irl is autosexuality/autoromaticism/autoeroticism).

Quick note: I'm writing this as an autosexual with autoerotic feelings of myself, my body, and my own existence. I have no interest in the proship/antiship discourse. The only thing I ask is that people need to understand that the auto spectrum exists. Anyone can feel varying degrees of self-attraction: whether it be sexual, platonic, romantic, and so on. SFW and NSFW depictions of self-attraction should be okay, as long as the focus is on the singular (autospec implied) character. TL;DR I'm not proship.

Anyway, the discussion drifted to me realizing that I might not have an interest in pursuing romantic relationships with other people. Like...I like the fantasy of having romantic attraction with other people, but having a relationship in real life rarely interests me. I had crushes on other people before, but actually acting upon them via dates or relationships was something I had never done. I just feel happy about having a crush before it fizzles away into disinterest. My last crush was three years ago and I have never done anything about it since. Because of this, one of my friends noted I might be aromantic.

As for my feelings for myself, it was a slow realization of my autosexuality and autoerotic attraction that had taken months for me to understand. I feel that my objectum attraction to mirrors and my attraction to my daydream paras are a part of my autosexuality, both reflecting (heh) my own desires about myself. As I continue to explore autosexuality, I discover having joy in my singular existence, my presence, and my body.

It's not always perfect. I might sometimes have low confidence in myself or not like myself all that much. But these are temporary feelings. My love for myself is always present, even at my lowest points.

But yeah...I might have some aromatic traits. I'm not familiar with the term or the community, but it would explain my ambivalence(?) towards pursuing relationships with other people beyond myself.
