collected the outfits ive actively designed for morro(not just slapped together without planning)

first one is his canon gi, colour corrected,

that i only ended up using in his initial arrival pages of @juniorjago oops lol. Ill probably use it for flashback stuff to morros babby years

second one is what i designed for him to wear in the post where he apologises to the kids for being a shit

third one is a failed design(yay!) where it was meant to be just. some clothes he threw on, but it looked too. formal? worky? so sCREW IT. he gets a new gi at some point in juniorjago! The fourth is what i ended up going with for this next arc that will EVENTUALLY come about.

The cloth-covered board — more generously called a squeaky-wheeled 'wall' draped in a sheet — set up in the courtyard of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor is hard to miss, and Childe had to convince Hu Tao not to use sharpened incense sticks as a stand-in for actual darts. In all fairness, his argument was correct in that they simply wouldn't fly far or with enough force, even if they are poetic.

Earlier, he and Hu Tao wheedled or wrangled the other employees into joining, two at the sides ready to pull off the large white sheet that covered their surprise. Hu Tao had insisted on the colour. 'White is death, but death is transition! Transformation! His birthday is the end of the year, a releasing of the old into the new, and anyway, what is a birth but a change into a new life than before? He'll appreciate the symbolism, trust me.'

True to form, what with there mercifully being no extra work beyond prescribed hours, Zhongli exited the funeral parlor with his usual aplomb before pausing with a blink in front of the sight before him.

As the Wangsheng employees pull down the cloth and Hu Tao lights some kind of incense that roils opaque clouds of smoke around the base of the board, Childe rises from the wall of the actual building where he'd been leaning, stepping forward to nudge Zhongli's shoulder, wink, and hands him a slim, rectangular box.

Before them, the majestic form of Rex Lapis in his Exuvial form rises from the smoke in roaring effigy... sculpted in yellow and ochre balloons attached to the large board.

Childe's grin broadens. He nudges Zhongli with his shoulder and offers him the closed box of metal, plain, brown-feathered darts. "Happy birthday. Hope you don't mind that we set up something for you."
