It’s actually very riveting)

The official volume releases in English finally caught up to the simulpub chapters that started at chapter 331. As such, soon our trip through the volumes will be revisiting ground already covered on this blog.

I’ve been mulling possible options: finding new panels to react to, looking for differences between the magazine chapters and the volumes, comparing the typesetting on sound effects, rereading the chapters with a newfound knowledge of what’s to come. I haven’t decided and am not sure how any of those would work out. If there is anything any of you want, I want to hear from you!

For the meantime, I plan to continue the status quo (one post a day from the present volume) at least through the end of the Mujinazaka match. Chapter 331 posts will spill into next week, even though volume 38 will be out by then.

Shoot me an ask or a message, or reply to this post if you have any suggestions on what you want to see this blog do! And remember: I am always open to posting any requested panels from Haikyuu from the official release, so don’t be afraid to send me an ask. Any part at all! (But please do include chapter # so I can find it lol)

Or if you just want to see more gen drabbles featuring Mujinazaka’s setter, send that in as an ask too! XD

I disapprove of the usual practice of talking “small talk” whenever we meet, and holding a veil over our souls. If we are so impoverished that we have nothing to reveal but small talk, then we need to struggle for more richness of soul.

Lol people are actually concerned that Bryce Papenbrook is gonna voice another DR character?

Well then, I guess it’s time for another unpopular opinion: I actually like his voice acting–and not just in DR. He also voices Red from the Pokemon Origins special and Wataru from Brother’s Conflict. I’m not really one to follow voice actors around, but him and Matthew Mercer are two of my favorites, haha. So, I wouldn’t mind if he voices another DR character.

Had a super fun day today with my pal @rhythmrender!!! He is seriously one of the coolest people to chill with. We got to eat at the coolest little diner, and then found an indoor shooting range!

He did really well for his first time shooting ever! I still smell like gun powder though XD We had a chance to shoot the USP .45, a $3800 Nighthawk Custom 1911, a Scout M1A and a Ruger 10-22 (which is the gun I’m shooting in the picture with my weird pose. I was trying to shoot a quarter sized circle at 15 yards so that’s why my stance is weird).

Thanks for the super fun time man!!! Let’s do it again soon!

"Eh, they're kids. Except one of 'em's going through their teenage phase. Which, when they hit adult life, they're going to be like: 'Why the fuck was I such a pissant?. Oh yeah. Because I was a fucking teenager.' "

“Yeah, I want to let Flurry make her own decisions about who she dates but he just seems so…immature. I don’t know. I’m all for love and following your heart but I’m afraid something awful is going to happen. Flurry’s powers are hard for her to control and that dragon’s mood seems hard for him to control. It seems like a lethal combination.”

I thought about a year-in-review writing, but I’d like to take this opportunity to write in something that can be useful to everyone. May these words, to the possible extent, serve as inspiration for you all.

First and foremost: it was a hard year. I’ve been battling through depression for months now, the result of years of resentment; and for the first time, I did it on my own. Between friends that are far away, others that kicked me out of the picture and those that showed they weren’t my friends to begin with, I’ve learned, above all else, that new challenges force you to adapt and change priorities - and they bring a will power that you’ve never imagined you had it within yourself.

Even on the worst hours - in which the destination seemed even more distant - a new yard was gained. Every new rejection (from professional to personal, you name it) can knock and/or slow you down, but can also open new possibilities; along the way, it gives you the opportunity to get to know an even bigger world, with new people and the stories they’ve lived. Wherever there’s a chance, as little as they seem, there’s hope; and with it, we thrive to be better people.

May the new year be upon us, more glorious than ever. And may we be stronger to face whatever is next - the changes we want to live start with us.
