it's been hours since heizou decided to go down on you, sweet sweet hours of his heavy tongue licking strong, skilled lines against your perfect cunt, as he called it.
he surely cannot stop rounding and digging his wet muscle past your flesh now, to properly collect all your sickly sweet liquids and taste them on himself, having it assembled on him, so it drips down the corners of his mouth but, listen up, heizou really doesn't give a damn, at the end of the day he prizes himself on making an used mess out of your little hole.
"t-this feels good." you pride him on his skilled traces and lock your hand into his silky hair before rubbing yourself against his face, up and down in circular motions, practically using his tongue and lips to desperately fuck yourself into him.
another tasteful worship, when you forgot about everything around yourself and found transparent delight in the pleasure he delivers on your body. your vision bent in on itself, eyes shaded with undeniable pleasing, and you're unable to fully process the feeling and sensation of it all; heizou's proficient tongue, his skilled, long fingers pinching your nipples and that damn smirk on his slick coated face, as if he was proud of it too, of making a whining, little mess out of you.
he spreads your cunt wider, this time using his digits, pulling apart your slippy folds while running the tip of his tongue inside, following the outline of your shape. you whined, no, helplessly screamed at the top of your lungs, overstimulated with both the sound and scent of sex pillowing on top of the humane air inside of your bedroom.
you beg now, glassy eyes long since closed and waiting for a well welcomed release as you felt the first one of his long fingers press against your tiny hole, squeezing it slowly as heizou steadily pumps into you with a gush of warm, wet saliva spat on your pussy.

The stress had taken its toll on you.
Juggling two part time jobs while studying for your college midterms had you running on fumes, unable to unwind no matter what you tried. The little time you had to yourself was usually spent catching up on sleep but that wasn't ever enough to reinvigorate you, not when you had other needs that went unmet in the meantime.
You were desperate for some real stress relief, bordering on delirious. You had to be because how the hell else could you explain ending up in Eddie Munson's bedroom? Lying in his bed, your panties amongst the litter of cassettes and fantasy magazines strewn across his bedroom floor, and said boy's head between your thighs.
"You better not be wasting my time, Munson", you tried your best to sound tough, a near impossible task when his lips are brushing against your inner thigh, so very close to your slit. He had your skirt pushed out of the way to bunch at your waist, large, rough hands wrapped around your thighs which bracket his face.
"So feisty", he cooed back in reply, breath puffing warm against your core.
It's all so painfully surreal, being here like this, but you try your hardest not to think about it too hard for the sake of keeping your sanity intact. About how Eddie's got you laid out and completely exposed, your bare pussy mere inches away from the boy you'd come over to yell at, the same boy who'd caused a fair amount of the tension he's now offering to help relieve with his tongue.
"Don't worry. I'm going to take real good care of you", he breaks you out of your internal spiral, a teasing but lighthearted lilt to his voice as if somehow, he'd sensed your nerves.
And then he says, "You ready?"
It's a simple yes or no question, much easier than the ones you've been pouring over for days in your practice tests but you find this one the hardest to answer. Not because you're unsure of what to say – you had your answer ready and tucked at the back of your throat ever since his fingers climbed up your thighs to tug at the waistband of your panties.
No, it's because you’re certain that when you answer him, everything’s going to change.
"Yeah...go ahead", you manage to wring the words from your throat, fingers clenching his sheets, eyes trained up at the ceiling because watching him somehow feels like too much.
The few seconds that elapse before his mouth descends on you feels like you’re freefalling, a sharp, plunging descent with no way to prepare yourself for the impact of his tongue gently licking at your folds, thighs jerking as he lapped at the slick which had gathered when you watched him play through the window.
"Y' know, for someone who's always in a sour mood you taste pretty fucking sweet", he smirked, knowing it would set you off, thumb momentarily skimming your folds in place of his tongue.
Ordinarily, a comment like that would have earned him a knee to the groin but now, in this maddeningly bizarre situation you've find yourself in the middle of, your body reacts against its usual instincts, hips shifting off the bed to chase his mouth for more.
"Don't stop", you mutter loud enough for him to hear, tone somewhere between commanding and imploring, eyes slipping shut.
You've never felt a warmth like the kind that seeps into your veins like sunlight when Eddie's broad tongue parts your folds, licking his way up to your clit to lightly swirl the pointed tip over your sensitive bud, hands bringing your hips back down to bed to hold them firmly in place.
"Shit, Eddie that's...nice", you sigh out, perhaps the most civil thing you've said to him in weeks.
Everything smelled like him – the sheets, the pillows, even you, you realize as you turned to press your cheek against his mattress, your hair now carrying the same woodsy, smoky scent, inhaling a little deeper to take in that undertone of boyish musk you find yourself strangely drawn to.
His scent.
Another soft swipe of his tongue along your folds has your toes curling but what's makes the fluttering sensation brewing in the pit of your stomach grow stronger is knowing that he's carrying your scent too.
"Oh fuck..."
The way his tongue roams you is slow and lingering, not at all like what you'd watched him do with his guitar but fuck does it feel good, having his fingers press into the meat of your thighs like he’s afraid you might slip through them at any moment, teasing your clit with soft kitten licks, plush lips occasionally trapping the bud to suck lightly before releasing it again.
He's building you up for what's to come, taking his time to find out what makes your breath stutter and your spine curve in an effort to press yourself closer to him, getting you to loosen up and give yourself to him.
Minutes go by like this though you’re not sure how many. Ten? fifteen? maybe longer, of him lazily laving and sucking gently and it's amazing but it’s also only nearly enough, steadily stoking the fire inside you. It’s enough to draw out a soft pants and muffled moans out of you, enough to make all the tension that had wound you so tight begin to unravel but not enough to grant you the release you're seeking.
Chest heaving, you can’t bring yourself to beg, afraid of what you might sound like if you did, a choked whine of Eddie’s name so close to spilling from your lips already. You don’t want to give him the satisfaction of hearing it.
Angling your right foot, you’re able to reach down and press your heel into his waist, not forceful, just enough to make him pull away from cunt, lips sheened with your slick and chin brushing the soft curls on your mound when he peeks up from between your legs.
“Need more already huh?”, he beats you to it, knowing and smug.
As much as you wanted to deny it, you already missed having his mouth on you. Lips pressing into a thin line to show your annoyance, you try to grasp at the right words from the jumble of them knocking around inside your head, hoping to pick the ones that might help you seem less needy than you actually feel, not wanting to boost his ego more than you probably already have.
“What you did earlier when you were playing… that was different”, you point out carefully.
“I know, I’m just getting you ready”, he explains matter-of-factly, eyes dropping back down to your cunt, gently spreading your folds apart with his thumbs with rapt attention.
“I am ready”, you try to argue, a little breathless but firm.
Eddie meets your stern gaze again and gives you a skeptical look in return, holding your stare for a few more seconds as if assessing you before he ultimately yields.
"Alright alright. Listen, uh - this might get a little intense so just um… pinch my hand if it gets too much for you and I'll stop, okay?", he winds one arm around your hip, holding out his hand for you to take.
The shift in demeanor has you slightly taken aback. He’d been so cocky for most this, showing shades of something softer at times but this was the most blatant display of that side of him so far – no sass, no crude remarks, no teasing jab. It was a side you’d seen glimpses of back when you were in school with him, that considerate streak he was sometimes partial to like when he’d taken in those freshmen who didn’t seem to fit in anywhere else. You never thought he’d show you the same kindness, no matter how veiled. Part of you even thought you didn’t deserve it after all the squabbling you’d initiated over the years.
Tentatively, you stare at the hand he offers you, his words echoing in your head loud enough to override your temporary and uncharacteristic bout of guilt.
Intense? Too much for you? Fuck, it's so hard to keep from wanting to grind your core against his face when he says things like that.
"You're pretty confident, aren't you?", you say instead, stalling so that you could discreetly wipe your palm against his sheets before you place your hand in his, afraid yours might be sweaty.
"Yeah, I am. And for good reason", he grinned, curling his much longer fingers around yours as you rest your joined hands close to your belly button, hoping he couldn't feel the storm of butterflies flapping their wings wildly inside your stomach.
“Oh, but first–”
Despite your best efforts, you can’t contain the pathetic yelp he rips from you when he pulls you closer by his free hand, picking your legs up abruptly to get them over his shoulders, spreading you even wider and getting you so close that you’re practically locked in place.
"Eddie-shit", you try to scold but it’s no use.
There’s no more soft, gentle licking when he dives in, tongue moving boldly to pulse against your clit with enough pressure to make your whole chest feel like its crackling with pops of electricity. He’d warned you it would be intense and you learned he was a man of his word, thighs twitching and quivering around his cheeks and curtain of curls. You squeeze his hand instantly, not pinching, he notices, a sign that it’s okay to continue as you throw your head back.
Spiraling again, you’re at a complete loss as to how good this feels. It never felt this good with the other boys and it definitely didn’t feel like this even when you touched yourself. How could someone who’s never touched you until today be able to get you like this so quickly and so easily?
Well, the position certainly helped. You’re entirely at his mercy like this, pinned in place from the waist down, suddenly very aware of how strong Eddie really is, not what you’d expected of someone who spent most of his time occupied with fantasy games. He groans, deep and rumbling, the vibration of it travelling through you while you fight to keep your teeth firmly set in your bottom lip, starting to writhe as he alternates between flicking your clit with his tongue and sucking on it, sloppy, wet, filthy sounds echoing plentiful in his bedroom.
It’s a riot inside your head – two thoughts competing and clashing fiercely; one part of you screams for him to slow down, that it’s all so much so fast despite having asked for it and the other roars back a resounding keep going, oh god, keep fucking going, overtaking the first.
But Eddie isn’t privy to any of this – you don’t want to let him know because even with the way he’s making it harder and harder for you to not just cry out for more, you’re much too stubborn to actually do so – knowing full well that if you were to let on just how much you’re enjoying his ministrations, he’d never let you hear the end of it.
Easier said than done.
Your resolve is withering at an alarming rate, not sure how long you can keep true to your vow of silence when he slips his tongue into your opening, pleasure and relief melding into one now that you have somethinginside you, curtailing the ache of being empty for this long. He fucks you with it, driving it in and out, lavishing you from the inside with every stroke and drag of the slippery muscle against your walls.
“Oh Ed– oh fuck”, you blabber, hips bucking up against his face. You clench around it, clit throbbing in the absence of his tongue swiping over it but the way his nose bumps the tender pearl with every sloppy thrust of your hips more than makes up for it.
He lets you rut against his face like that, only pulling back and away minutes later but you’re not left wanting for long.
A sharp gasp is pulled from you when a finger plunges into you, another joining not too long after. You feel stupid for forgetting how well those fingers moved on his guitar when he curls them inside you, long and thick, reaching deeper than your own, filling you better than his tongue did.
“Shit, listen to you”, he tutted, cunt sopping and squelching loud enough for your whole face to flare up. “Got this worked up just for me, huh?”
He wants to hear you beg; you know it. Rather than replying you whine between ragged breaths, containing the rest that threatened to spill out in moans and cries for more. But it’s nowhere near enough to satiate him now. Eddie frowns, face clouding with irritation. He wasn’t going to let you get away with stifling yourself any longer.
“Tell me how good I make you feel”, he says, tone losing its playful lilt and gaining a firm edge instead, eyes darkening.
“I’ve been real generous with you today – even after all your fucking attitude”, he punctuates with a particularly rough thrust of his fingers into your cunt, another gasp tapering into a whimper falling from your lips.
“Not g-gonna say it…” you tremor, so clearly affected by what he’s doing to you.
He laughs but there’s no amusement there, only something foreboding glinting in his eyes. “Can feel you, honey – trying so hard to hold back but you’re soaked and you’re squeezing me so tight”, sinking his fingers in up to the knuckles.
“C’mon, I’m not asking for a lot, am I?  just say the words and I’ll let you cum,” he murmured, amber eyes hooded and locked on yours.
“Eddie-”, you start, hating how it came out all pitchy and wavering, hating it even more when you see how much he liked hearing his name leave your lips like that. “You said you would- this isn’t what we agreed- “
“Do it or I’ll stop”, he cuts you off, unsmiling. You can tell he isn’t joking when his pace falters and his fingers still inside you.
The fear of him stopping when you’re already so close rushes in with torrential urgency, no time to feel embarrassed by how quickly or how hard you squeeze his hand when you feel him begin to unweave his fingers from yours to make good on his threat, your steely grip preventing him from slipping away, begging him to stay.
“Please...”, you begin to crumble, breathy and desperate and aching for him to finish what he started.
The smile pulling at his slick lips tells you he’s appeased, pumping his fingers inside you again, slow but deep, stretching you well.
“Go on…” he encourages, speeding up when you let loose an unrestrained moan that comes out all high and pretty for him, helpless to his touch, your building arousal making you grow compliant.
“Fuck -Eddie, I’ve- I’ve never felt this good before”, you relent with a sob.
“Yeah? Poor baby – always working so hard… got no one else to take care of you. Needed it so bad, didn’t you? Couldn’t even control yourself when you saw me today, huh? Climbed in my bed and spread your legs even though you say you can't stand me”, he grins wickedly, tone thick with condescension.
He was right. For years, you were gasoline and him, the match, all of that smoldering friction between the two of you culminating in the most surprising way.
“But now you can’t get enough of me.”, he finished with a sneer.
Something new blossoms beneath your ribs – humiliation.
But instead of trying to shy away from it you find yourself welcoming the way it sprouts up like tendrils, winding around you all slow and creeping, all because you’ve been put in your place, rendered a mewling, gasping, desperate thing by the boy you’ve spent far too much time despising.
“Wanna feel your mouth on me again”, you blurt between pants, a broken, pitiful sound.
“Need you to make me cum – please”
He watches you struggle under the weight of your own desire, willing to debase yourself if it meant he’d grant you your release and it makes him chuckle, satisfied.
“Was that so hard?”, he flashed you one of those impish, shit eating grins before his mouth is on your clit again, fingers driving inside you in tandem. Your free hand shoots out to weave into his hair, clutching it like a lifeline.
The combination sends you careening towards the edge, the feeling starting to become too much when he sucks hard on your bundle of nerves but there’s no way to pull yourself away from him – not that you wanted to. Not really.
Your whole body tenses and ripples when it crests, something white hot barreling its way out of you – too fast and too intense to warn him, cunt fluttering around his moving fingers, thighs squeezing, throat growing hoarse from your cries.
It runs through you in crashing, gushing waves, leaving you shaking and keening, lungs burning for air until breath returns to you slowly, roiling intensity settling down into pulsing aftershocks. They subside when the afterglow comes next and you relish the way it drapes over your quivering body, lips trembling and chanting whispered exclamations of ‘oh my god oh my god oh my god’ up at the ceiling, still reeling from it all. It’s only when the sensation of weightlessness that had cradled you for those moments following your orgasm begins to recede that you spring up, elbows pressing into the mattress to support you, heart shooting up into your throat when you catch sight of Eddie.
And it’s worse than you thought.
His cheeks, mouth, jaw and neck are soaked, as is the collar of his shirt now clinging wetly to the dip between his clavicles. Oh shit it’s in his hair too, noticing a few dampened ends which stick to the fabric near his shoulders.
In the thick fog of your afterglow your mind turns sluggish – too slow to piece together what exactly had happened as your eyes lowered in search of what caused Eddie’s current state. Realization sets in after a few seconds of delay in the form of a swooping, twisting flurry in your belly, worsening when you find the same wetness coating your inner thighs and pooling on his sheets, your ass resting in a little puddle of well, yourself.
You've squirted all over his face and his bed.
"I've never done that before”, you breathe out, both stunned and mortified at what you’ve done. Though your worry lessens somewhat when you dare to look at Eddie again, the look on his drenched face telling you that he’s anything but upset about it.
“I’ve never made anyone do that before”, he utters back, sharing your surprise.
Your hand which somehow had managed to stay clasped in his throughout the whole thing is finally returned to you when you both loosen your hold on each other, awkwardly pulling away enough for you to scoot off the damp spot on his bed and for Eddie to ease up onto his knees, which he realizes a little too late was probably a mistake.
Your eyes dart to it when you hear his sharp inhale, widening at the sight.
There's a new elephant in the room to address now – the massive erection straining against his sweatpants.
Silence shrouds the room, both of you speechless, panting and sweaty. He makes no move to cover himself and you don’t think to set your gaze anywhere else.
You’re not sure why you did what you did next, only that you felt compelled to do so.
Easing up on to your knees, you come face to face with Eddie, skirt falling back down to conceal you. Your fingers move seemingly on their own accord, curling into the waistband of his sweats, fingertips grazing the hot skin that lies underneath and for some reason he lets you, watching you closely albeit a little disbelieving. This wasn’t part of your ‘agreement’. He’d offered to get you off and you had accepted but that was the extent of it, neither of you giving much thought as to what would happen after but here you are, chasing after more.
Inches away from his lips, you can smell yourself on his skin. That tangy, earthy essence he'd lapped at and drunk down so eagerly for the past hour. What made him like it so much? What made him want to do this all in the first place? You wanted to ask him but more than that, fingers tightening on the cotton waistband, daring to dip inside and skim the course trail of hair above his pelvis, you wanted to find out what he tasted like too.
You draw a little closer and so does he, nose brushing his, chin tipping up, eyes slipping shut…
But your lips don’t meet.
Whatever was about to happen is cut short then, the both of you whipping your heads in the direction Eddie’s bedroom door, on the other side of which comes the sound of the front door unlatching and a set of boots stepping through the entryway.
Wayne’s home.
“Fuck”, you exclaim in unison.
Sharing a panicked look with Eddie the two of you begin to scramble quietly off the bed, not wanting to risk alerting Wayne to your presence in their trailer.
You liked Wayne. Despite his gruff exterior he’d always been fair to you and your family but the last thing you wanted was to get caught out in his nephew's room. Like this.
"Shit – I can't believe I'm saying this now but...you have to go", Eddie winced as he whispered to you, looking increasingly more regretful with every word he’s forced to let out in reference to your departure.
"No– It's okay. I get it, I really should leave", you hush back in agreement, looking all kinds of frazzled and just as sympathetic given you bare as much of the responsibility for how things escalated the way they did.
You get your shoes back on as quickly and quietly as you can manage, panic rising when Wayne calls out something from the kitchen about dinner.
“Be right there!”, Eddie yells back, swooping down to pick your panties up off the floor, sheepishly handing them to you and you ball the underwear in your fist, suddenly too embarrassed to let him look at them despite everything that’s transpired.
And with that brief brush of his fingers against yours, a moment hangs over the two of you as you stare at one another, a moment that begs for something more to be said about the situation.
But what could you say?
"Thanks for the head?"
"Sorry about the mess. I hope it doesn't leave a stain?"
Nothing feels right no matter what you try to scrounge up and scrape together from the recesses of your mind so reluctantly, you don’t say anything at all, turning towards the window and letting him help you out through it, a faint sense of something sour washing over you when his fingers slip away from yours.
The walk back to your trailer is a short one but it’s made all the more difficult on unsteady, wobbling legs. Casting your gaze at every neighboring window in search of anyone happening to look outside, you try your best to look as inconspicuous as possible despite your ungainly stride and your disheveled state, scrambling up and through your front door.
Back in your room, slumping against your bedroom door, your thighs are wet and sticky, breath coming out in short, hurried puffs, heart thudding a mile a minute and you have just one thought ballooning in your mind.
How the hell were you ever going to look Eddie in the eye after this?

TS3 Mods that I use
This list has been created for years. It is sharpened for realism, smoothness of the game, so there are no mods like Kinky or StoryProgression.
All these mods can be used together, they are tested for compatibility both through the panel and in the game.
All of them are suitable for the latest version of the game.
This list is REALLY long
If the links are not displayed =>
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Zq4hrO4Cc1ACC-dZ0J-XLxyENzkxXI2RMi9Ui8MgIKQ/edit?usp=sharing
!!!Important!!!
I have all the add-ons, catalogs and the store.
Some of the mods need to be configured (Passion, system core, BGLMFT)
No need to blindly download everything, at least briefly read the descriptions of mods and their possible errors, as well as the settings
Make sure you have completed all these steps for a smooth game
My computer is average.
There are no visual fixes and default replacements in this list, otherwise the list would have doubled.
SimsAsylum is not broken, registration is needed
If your computer still doesn't pull - look at the mods in the Misc category - there are the heaviest script mods
If in addition to this list you use other mods- do not forget to check for compatibility, version, put it in other folders other than the list, so that if anything, you can quickly figure out what the problem is.
After massive downloads, installations and file transfers - do a system cleanup. This greatly affects the loading time of the game.

Secret Scritches
The negotiations hadn't gone well.
Nearly two years after the 'Sol-3' Incident the felinoids were ready to take a far greater role within The Galactic Community but were struggling to come to amicable terms with the galaxy spanning organisation. Howard had been a trainee diplomate back on Earth, barely out of university and only just beginning his career in the murky world of politics when all the politics he knew about got wiped out. Still, as far as he was aware, this was the first time a human had been allowed to sit in and at the very least observe and the skills were transferrable.
The Community representative had stepped out of the room in disgust at the felinoid's expert handling of their usual, one-sided contract they point blank refused to sign. The Galactic Community wanted closer ties, the external ursidain territories had been trying to advance into felinoid territories and causing an embarrassment for them, but the slippy felinoids had been able to resist them, even push them back.
By signing the contract, it would emphasize trade over raw resources and the ursidains would realistically be better off simply choosing to trade rather than take. The contract was of course skewed significantly in The Community's favour. Market prices were practically slashed for them, making the deal sour in the Felinoid's eyes.
The Felinoid sat across the table and stared at the human diplomat who gave her a flat smile.
"We are above this." She stated flatly. The orange and black stripes of her fur were very pretty in the human's opinion and reminded Howard of the tigers of old. It was mildly intimidating to be sat across from one, especially when she saw Howard as part of the problem, since he had walked in with the Community representative.
The human sighed and nodded. He didn't disagree, but humans only had 'soft power', influencing people or individuals, not actual policy. It was useful in it's own right, but humanity couldn't get an actual seat at the table yet. The man's leg's ached, so he stood from the table to try and stretch them.
Saharhan, gracefully stood as well, seemingly out of respect or manners, but she also joined Howard as she stalked over to the large, wall to wall, ceiling to floor window. Like all felinoids, she walked on her toes, while her hips swayed from side to side in an exaggerated manner. The thick, stripey tail coiled and flicked like a snake. Howard was hit with the idea of what it would be like to touch it.
The felinoid Saharhan stood a good head and a half taller than Howard, her negotiations had been clear; she wanted to impress that she was intimidating and would not easily cow to other species just because her government was willing to open talks. If the deal was not favourable, then they would continue as 'just' a member.
The alien stood to his side, as close she could without being pressed to his side. Howard blinked when he felt the flicking tail briefly grace the back of his legs. Before either of them spoke, the appendage flicked round to the front, where Saharhan grasped it and smoothed the fur along it.
"I'm glad they decided to take a break. I think everyone was digging their heels in somewhat." Howard admitted, trying to release the tension that had built up in the room. There was a chuckle from the alien.
Saharhan smiled and released her tail before placing a large paw on his shoulder. The leather pads brushed the cotton of his shirt and the claws subconsciously extended as she rolled her own shoulders to ease her tension. She was so fluffy; every strand of her fur was expertly maintained. Despite the negotiations already being several hours long, it seemed as if she had just stepped out of a spa. The towering tiger-like creature smiled down at the human.
"I understand what they are negotiating for, but we are a proud people. We know who is above and who is beneath us." The diplomate admitted with honey-like words. Howard noted it was strikingly softer in tone than anything he had heard from her all day. Still, this wasn't the first felinoid or even the tenth that Howard had dealt with in the short time that humanity had been in the stars and something she had said struck him as odd.
The human looked at her with a suspicious side eye while Saharhan cooly watched him back, he had her full attention.
"Who hell do you consider 'above' you?" Howard demanded in disbelief.
She barked with laughed and fixed the human with a fanged grin.
"No one, of course." Her head tilted as she seemed to see something within the human. "You are wiser than what The Community has told us, it would seem."
The human nodded as he noticed a tuft of fur that was sticking up and out messily on the top of her paw. He reached up and stroked along the grain of her fur, brushing it flat over multiple strokes. It sounded about right that The Community would underestimate humanity. A single person, regardless of species or race, treated humanity has equals. The moment that administrators or governments got involved, they simply didn't know how to handle or what to expect from humanity.
Oh sure, some humans hadn't helped matters by stealing crafts or accidently blowing them up, but for the most part, the people just wanted to live as equals and seek out a life. Still... merely disappearing and going humanity's own way was not an option. Howard himself knew how quickly pirates reacted to a lone or even a small group of humans. A community would need one hell of a fleet to protect it.
Unbeknownst to Howard, Saharhan was smiling and had closed her eyes at his idle petting of her fur. He couldn't have known that she was inches away from suggesting he come to her quarters later that even to strength their two race's bonds. It was worth laying the groundwork in her eyes...
"Keep doing that and we'll open fair trade for the humans at least." She murmured, forcing her arm forwards until his hand brushed into the deer, softer pelt of her arms. Howard smirked and rather than just brushing the fur, instead he dug his fingers into the pelt, scratching at the warm flesh below. The felinoid actually started purring.
"Huh, I thought it was a myth that you 'purred'." The human admitted. He paused and her eyes flicked open. Without a word, the diplomat with enough authority as to declare war on behalf of the felinoid people, bent at the waist to lower her head, so that his hand was in the perfect position.
Howard reached the remaining few inches and began scratching her round, fluffy ear. His fingertips scratched along the base and back of the ear, while his thumb pushing into the white pelt of the front. The alien's head turned, and she leant into his hand. Her fur was amazingly soft and thick. He watched as the strands ran through his fingers.
Neither heard nor noticed the door to the private room opened behind them.

This is an idea i had where the usual teams end up on the same wild planet, Wander and Sylvia because they wanna take a break on one of the planets' many shores and Peepers and Hater because they've been trying to get a hold of as many empty planets as they can. Alot of planets being mainly wilderness since they've been regrowing after the whole, Dominator almost destroying the galaxy, thing.
Wander goes wandering into the jungle to try and find a drink for Syl. The drink finds him in the form of a big alien coconut falling directly on his head, the small Nomad passing out briefly and waking back up having temporarily lost their memory.
Meanwhile on the other side of the planet, the watchdog army is busy trying to set up a base while Hater is busy complaining and doing nothing. Eventually Peepers tells him off and sends him to go fetch drinks from the skullship which isn't too far away.
"And be careful sir, the skullship is on the left of that big log-"
"I KNOW WHERE THE SKULLSHIP IS PEEPERS!! GEEZ!"
So Hater gets lost, the overwhelming density of the jungle quickly confusing his already poor navigation skills. And it looks like its gonna start raining. Great.
Luckily a familiar fuzzy face pops up from the bushes. Double great.
But sadly since Wander has no memory of him they're being uncharacteristically quiet around the skeleton, being curious but cautious, never approaching too quickly. This means Hater ends up doing alot of the talking since Wander never wants to answer him, which he decides is a little less annoying than the constant talking they usually do. He starts to doubt if this fuzzy little guy is even Wander, but as soon as the little nomad starts making they're way back into the bushes he follows them on instinct. Not wanting to lose the only familiar sight in this deep and dense jungle.
Eventually Hater realises Wanders lost their memory, that big bump on their head explaining it. It doesn't seem like they forgot how to be annoyingly trusting and affectionate though. The idea of just letting Wander get lost and survive on this planet is a tempting one. But once the clouds brew overhead and the rain starts making the trees dangerously slippy, Hater realises he needs Wanders help to survive this place, the many grunts and terrifying growls he'd been hearing from just across the bushes furthering his urge to hold Wanders hand. Plus, he gets to say he captured Wander and gets to destroy them himself! Much more satisfying!

I personally don't like street tracks because F1 / the FIA doesn't seem as concerned about safety with them. I know Lando is the only one who actually crashed in Vegas, but the slipperiness on the opening lap saw drivers who hardly ever make mistakes spinning. There also seem to be a lot of blind corners that have caused incidents over the years. Like idk I appreciate the skills it takes to not end up in a barrier on a street circuit, but I don't know, I guess like you said, I like drivers facing challenges more than that. Like we already have Monaco if we just want to test a driver's ability not to end up in a wall.
I watch FE and street circuits work great for that, but the cars also seem much smaller so even Monaco is a fun race with tons of overtakes instead of just like a processional. I know several F1 fans who only watch quali and don't even bother with the races for some of these hard-to-pass street circuits, I think F1 and Liberty media will find a lot more of that if they keep pushing street circuits.
No I agree, although I wouldn’t necessarily say that they are more lax with the safety measures though, I think it possibly just takes a little while to iron out issues with new circuits and we’ve seen more new street circuits than permanent circuits recently and as such it may skew the data.
Like Turkey a few years ago for example was very slippy and kind of concerning but that was a permanent circuit.
What I will say is that new street races don’t get signed off by the FIA until very close to the date of the first race (because they need to wait until they are fully set up, which usually happens as close to race day as possible to minimise disturbance to locals) and I feel like that could be done better

The One Where They Forgot Sam
Summary: Movie night doesn't go to plan when a tornado is about to hit the house
Words: 1,407 ish lol
Warnings: swearing, margaritas, mention of tornadoes - please excuse any errors at the moment I'm running on 0 sleep and feeling like shit
Sam stood at the island counter, leaning on it, his chin resting in his palm, as he watched the back of his older brother, Jake, cooking something. He soon forgot what his brother had just said other than,
"Don't worry, I'll make sure yours is veggie."
A family film night was currently planned. Food, drinks, and a shitty movie.
One of the thousands of vinyls spun away, filling the background with soft jazz, while Sam kept berating Jake about cooking.
"Make sure you make loads; Daniel's coming over." And Josh will try to eat more than he can actually stomach."
At the mention of the other twin, Josh appeared suddenly in the kitchen doorway, axe in hand.
Sam's hand that he was leaning on dropped from his chin. He leaned against the island with a stoic expression as his eyes looked over his older brother.
Josh stood there with the axe, his curls a little more messy than usual, kahki shorts, a white vest, a pair of big brown boots that looked way too big for him, and a massive jacket.
"Look, I get it. You fucking love Stanley Kubrick. But don't you think THIS is taking it too far? What is this? Are you role-playing?" Sam waved his hand out, gesturing at him.
Jake merely looked up from the meal he was making to his twin, then back down to it without paying him any mind.
Josh let out a giggle.
"HERE'S JOSHY!" He let out a gruff voice before breaking into a melodic laugh, which made Sam roll his eyes.
"We need wood, and since YOU never offer to chop any and Jakey is busy cooking dinner for us, that means Mr. Muscle here will have to do the dirty work."
"Hey, I do offer; it's just that I'm not allowed after what happened." Sam defended.
The axe once flew out of Sam's hands as he flung it behind his head once, which nearly took out Danny as they both offered to go chop some wood. In Sam's defense, he swore the handle was 'slippy'.
Josh snorted and walked up to Jake. Sam's eyes narrowed as he watched them, Josh said something, then did something with his hand that made Jake nod in agreement, and then he trudged off to go chop wood.
"It will never amaze me that you two communicate in the most bizarre fucking way." And with that, he downed the rest of his drink and walked around the island.
Jake turned from the dish as he let it simmer and looked up at his brother. "Did you want to help?"
"You I will, him I won't." The taller man admitted.
Jake laughed.  "Okay, get all the drink shit ready and you can be like the barten-" he stopped, remembering that his little brother's drink-making skills weren't that great.
"Just get everything on the island, drinks, cups, you know the drill, and ice. Lots of ice"
"I'll be the master of cups and fucking ice." He let out before walking over to the fridge.
Jake laughed. "Stop rewatching Friends."
10 minutes later, Danny arrived. He bought a few drink options along with some deserts he picked up.
"Hello!" He smiled at the two brothers in the kitchen as he placed his things down and looked around at them and what they were doing.
"Josh is out chopping wood." Sam called over his shoulder as he finished his margarita pitcher.
"Oh." Danny simply replied.
"Jakes is cooking us a new dish he came up with." Sam called over his shoulder again.
"Oh?!" Danny smiled and replied in a more cheerful tone.
"And I have just finished the first margarita pitcher!" Sammy turned around and grinned widely at his friend.
"Oh..." he let out, sounding disappointed. If Sam noticed, he didn't let him see, but Jake snorted out a laugh, "Ha."
Josh returned with wood, which turned out to be 2 pieces of very thin logs.
The rest of the group looked at the wood and then back at him. "Chopping wood, were we?" Sam used air quotes for chopping, which got a laugh from Danny.
"I could kick a tree and get a better result," he added, earning a bigger laugh from Danny.
Josh broke out in a smile. "Okay, I got distracted. A squirrel came, and it kept trying to get in the way of my axe. It wouldn't leave me alone, so I followed it and kinda got lost in the dark."
Sam called him something along the lines of 'Snow White' and told him to be ready for "the best margaritas of your mother fucking life!"
"Ooooh, did Danny make a batch?" Josh asked as he approached the island, ready to grab a glass.
"No!  I did.  It's my pitcher."
Josh's hand grabbed anything but the cup that was filled on the island. His hand happened to land on a lime, which he pretended to be very interested in as his younger brother's mouth dropped open a little as he watched him.
"Boys, dinner will be ready in 9 minutes." Jake turned around and flung a dish towel on his shoulder as he took a sip from his drink that was long forgotten.
"Well, I'm going to take a quick shower." Sam suddenly declared.
"Sammy, dinner is almost ready..." the long-haired twin sighed a little as he watched the youngest brother walk towards the stairs in the hallway, his bare feet slapping on the wooden floor.
He lifted a hand as he walked. "I won't be long; I just want to freshen up." And with that, he was gone.
Josh let go of the lime, and looked at the pitcher Sammy had made. His eyes went from it to Danny, who did the same thing.
"Shall I make-"
"Yes."  The twins said at the same time, which made the drummer laugh.
Jake had called out to Sammy that dinner was ready, and they were all settled with drinks and food ready for the movie. All he got back was a loud, "YEAH, I GOT IT!"
As he returned back to the living room, he was met with Josh and Danny looking at their phones. "Jake, there's a fucking tornado warning. And it's close."
Jake's brows furrowed before he squinted at the bright light that suddenly assaulted his eyes as Josh thrusted the phone an inch from his face. "LOOK! QUICK! BASEMENT!"
They all grabbed what they needed—phones, flashlights, water, some blankets, and their food—and went down to the basement.
"Some fucking movie night." Jake laughed out loud as he sat on a chair, plate perched on his knees, trying to eat calmly and not think about the goddamn tornado that will hit them. Josh sat on the floor with his food at his side and his hands behind his head, prepared for the worst. Danny sat in a garden lounge chair with a drink in one hand and tried to eat with the other.
"I feel like we forgot something." Jake let out as he chewed.  They got their phones, along with chargers, just in case they needed to call anyone if it got really bad.
Josh's hands fell as he looked up at the two other men. "Oh my fucking god—" he rushed up from the floor and ran up the stairs.
Jake's body automatically jolted to go after him but stopped when he heard heavy footsteps stomp down the stairs.
"We forgot Danny's pitcher!" Josh laughed as he held up the pitcher with a toothy grin.
 Jake clapped, "Ah, yes! Bravo!"
MEANWHILE...
Sam's wet feet slapped even louder on the floor as he reached the bottom step of the stairs and walked into the kitchen. One hand held a towel around his waist while the other rubbed one on his head.
"Sorry, but I nearly went flying in the stupid showe-" he said, but suddenly stopped when he saw the kitchen was empty. He walked into the living room. No one.
"Where's everybody at?" He loudly called out.
The three men in the basement suddenly all looked at each other as they heard him.
"Oh shit, we forgot Sam." Josh let out before he rushed to his feet to run up the stairs again.
Jake and Danny burst out laughing when they heard Sammy's voice grow louder as he got closer.
"The fuck you mean you forgot about me with a fucking tornado about to hit this damn house?!"

The Starfox Journal Entry 6-Rayman
A few years have gone by. Fox, Peach, Slippy and Falco have stuck together. They have been with each other through thick and thin. They nearly did everything together.
They had sleepovers together and played together a lot. Even their parents were friendly towards one another. After spending so much time together, they were able to get to know each other more and more. They learned about what made each other tick, what made each other laugh, what made each other cry, but more importantly, what they needed to do to pull each other out of sticky situations. Yes, these 4 crazy kids were pretty much inseparable.
Their days of preschool soon past them and they moved up to elementary school.
Peach and Falco went to different schools so Fox and Slippy stuck together throughout those few years. They learned many new things and many new skills, but one thing that had never changed was their friendship. Even though they went to separate schools, they still had chances to see each other whenever they could. They never missed out on a chance to do so. They made a few new friends along the way but the 4 of them stuck together. They even had a chance to meet General Pepper for the first time in their young lives. He was very pleased to have met all of them, including Fox, the son of the late James McCloud. Fox told the general his goal of one day defeating Andross and the general wished him luck and hopes that he does defeat Andross for the sake of James and many other Cornerians who lost their lives.
By the time they were 4 years older than they were when they first met, Peppy was called by General Pepper to investigate a strange, new planet in a far region of space. Peppy brought the 4 kids to sleepover at Peach’s castle while he left on his own to see the planet. There, he saw strange, new creatures and discovered many wonders. After a quick analysis, he finds the planet to be peaceful but the inhabitants do not speak their language. So, he reports back to Corneria and reunites with Fox, Peach, Slippy and Falco. He also requested Beltino to build a translator device so they could understand the natives of the newly discovered planet. Fox, Peach, Slippy and Falco requested to visit the planet since the inhabitants are reported to not be hostile. Peppy was hesitant to take them on their offer because he still does not know much about the planet. After much begging, Peppy finally caved and decided to take them to the planet.
Much time later, they arrived at the planet. Peppy: “Ok, kids, I need you to be on your best behavior and don’t wonder off too far, Ok?”
They nodded. At that time, a strange creature was watching them, observing them. Peppy spent a great deal of time collecting more data on the strange planet. The kids were all busy, looking around the entire place in awe and amazement. Peach: “You know, this place is kind of beautiful.” Fox: “Yeah, I see what you mean, Peach.”
They looked around at all the little creatures and vegetation, some of which behaved strangely. Falco: “Man, this place is weird.”
Just then, Peach thought she saw something moving around from bush to bush. Peach: “Huh?” Fox: “What’s wrong, Peach?” Peach: “I thought I saw something moving around here.” Falco: “Probably just the plants. For all I know, the plants probably move around, themselves.” Peach: “I don’t know, Falco, I believe I saw something else. Maybe we should check it out.”
Peach walked off. Slippy: “Wait! Are you sure this is OK?” Fox: “Slippy has a point. Peppy told us not to wonder off.” Peach: “But I have to know what or who it was that was in there.”
She walked closer to the bush. She observed it closely. Just then, she saw what appeared to be a floating hand. It grabbed Peach and pulled her into the bush. She screamed. Fox, Slippy, Falco: “Peach!” T
hey ran into the bush.
They looked around. Fox: “Where did she go!?!” Slippy: “I don’t know!” Falco: “Dang! She’s nowhere to be found!” Fox: “PEACH! WHERE ARE YOU!?!” Peach: “OVER HERE!!” Fox: “Huh?”
They looked over and found Peach. Fox: “Peach!”
Fox ran over to her, Slippy and Falco spotted her as well. They both came together. Fox: “Peach, are you OK?” Peach: “I’m fine, but look.”
Fox looked over and saw a strange creature with no arms, no legs and no neck, just a head, a torso, 2 hands and 2 feet. Fox: “Whoa, what is that thing?” Peach: “I think it’s one of the natives of this planet.”
Fox walked up to it. Fox: “Hi, are you friendly?”
It acted coy. Fox: “Don’t be afraid, we won’t hurt you.”
Slippy and Falco soon arrived. They looked over and spotted the strange creature. Falco: “Whoa! What is that thing!?!” Slippy: “I’ve never seen anything like it before!”
Peach walked up to the creature as well. Peach: “Can you tell me your name?” Creature: “R-Rayman…” Peach: “Rayman? That’s a nice name. Can you tell me a little about yourself?”
Rayman hesitated, but then spoke in a language none of the kids could understand. Fox: “Uh…what’s Rayman saying?” Peach: “I don’t know, I can’t understand him.”
Fox: “Well, Peppy did say that the natives on this planet spoke another language.”
Peach: “True.”
Slippy thought for a moment. Then came across an idea. He then pulled out what appeared to be a headset. Falco: “Whoa! What the heck is that thing?” Slippy: “It’s a translator device. I built it myself. It’s to convert any language into the current language that we speak so that we can understand anything that they’re saying.” Falco: “Does it work?” Slippy: “I don’t know, I haven’t tested it, yet. I thought this would be the perfect place to use it.”
Slippy walked up to Rayman. Fox: “Um…are you sure this is safe, Slippy?” Slippy: “Don’t worry, I tried this thing on, it’s perfectly safe.”
He attempted to handed it over to Rayman, but he timidly back away. Slippy: “Hey, don’t worry.”
He then tried to show that it was safe by putting it on, himself. Slippy: “See? It’s not bad. It’s fine.”
Rayman hesitated, then slowly approached Slippy. Slippy placed the headset on Rayman. Slippy: “So, how is it?” Rayman: “It’s kind of strange. I never wore anything like this before.”
All the kids became startled. Fox: “Whoa! He sounds different!” Slippy: “Right, the headset translates your words into our language so we can understand you. You’ll still speaking in your own language, though.” Rayman: “Wow! This is amazing! Now we can understand each other!” Peach: “I know! Isn’t that great!?!” Rayman: “Yeah! So, who are you?” Peach: “My name is Princess Peach, these are my friends, Fox, Slippy and Falco.” Fox: “Hi” Slippy: “Hello.” Falco: “What’s up?” Rayman: “Nice to meet all of you. My name is Rayman.” Falco: “Yeah, we know.” Rayman: “So, what are you guys doing here?” Fox: “We’re exploring the planet to see what’s here.” Rayman: “Oh, really? You know, I can tell you everything I know about this planet.” Peach: “Oh, please tell us. We would love to here all about it.” Rayman: “Sure.”
Then Rayman started talking about his planet.
Later on, Peppy found himself alone. Peppy: “Fox? Peach? Slippy! Falco!”
He looked around. Peppy: “Now where did those crazy kids go?” Fox: “We’re over here, Peppy.”
He then looked down and spotted Fox, Peach, Slippy and Falco, as well as Rayman. Fox: “Sorry to worry you, but we‘re Ok.” Peppy: “Where were you kids? I told you not to wonder off.” Peach: “We’re sorry about that, Peppy. We were just learning so much about the planet that we....lost track of where we were going...” Slippy: “We were also testing one of my inventions.” Peach: “We would like you to meet someone. This is Rayman, he’s one of the natives of this planet.”
Rayman shyly timidly up to Peppy. Rayman: “Hi...” Peppy: “Well, I’ve never seen anyone like you, before. I can see you’re wearing a headset.” Rayman: “Slippy gave it to me, called it a translator device.” Slippy: “As long as he’s wearing that device, we can understand everything that he’s saying to us.” Falco: “Yeah, because he speaks in another language.” Peppy: “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Rayman. Care to tell us everything that we to know about your planet?” Rayman: “Sure, I’ll tell you everything that you should know.”
And so, he went on about everything involving his home.
As the days went on, Fox, Peach, Slippy and Falco became closer and closer to Rayman. They even became friends with him and allowed him to play in some of their favorite games. It gave them some time, but Rayman was able to hear and understand everything about their worlds, including what went on. Soon enough, Rayman’s home world became like another home to Fox and his friends. Whenever Peppy had the time, he would bring them back to that planet where they would talk, play and spend their days hanging out. They even met other natives of the planet and get to know them better.

Ask Imamura: What should I do to join Star Fox?
Imamura: The team consists of Fox and his father's close friend Peppy, his childhood friend Slippy, and his former rival Falco, they're all building deep trusts [with Fox]. Although they're guns for hire, their purpose is not to make a fortune, unlike some mercs. Even if you're a skilled pilot or give them a joining fee, you can't be a member, for now. If you don't want to give up the possibility to join the team, you could be a subordinate and do some daily tasks and chores to help them, like cleaning and maintaining The Great Fox for years, and they'd give you a chance eventually. It would also be a hard path since they have ROB 64, which should do all kinds of work. Why don't you dare to join Star Wolf if you're desperate? They would quickly hire a pilot or someone who does chores. You should expect that you'll just be exploited and end up being thrown out like trash, but if you could outsmart them and capture the betrayer Pigma and hand him to Star Fox, then you would establish some trust with them. Fox lost his father James to Pigma's betrayal, so he doesn't want and isn't going to get more and more new members and grow the team into a kind of military force.
babe wake up new Imamura's headcanon (it's no longer half-official since his retirement) has dropped

Omg? What’s this? An axolotl Dream writing? Goddamn! Haven’t touched this au in a while huh? Or at least written for it, I’ve certainly doodled the frilly idiot here and there, but well!
Here we go, looking into Dream and Punz relationship and why it worked so well, aka, Dream wasn’t the only one that made a deal with god.
As always, this au was inspired by axolotl hybrid Dream designs made by @beaskaa and @ryucreates and I highly recommend checking both of them out, even if beaskaa isn’t as active nowadays on tumblr
———
Punz was, by all accounts, a sight to behold. Quick with a bow, skilled with a sword, and knowing of all the little secrets there were to know.
They were dangerous and they were powerful. But the thing that allowed him to be so successful? No one knew a damn thing about him. Sure, people no doubt heard rumors and his reputation was nothing to be simply brushed aside, but when it came down to it? No one knew where he truly stood and no one knew his true goals. It worked beautifully for them.
You see, Punz and Dream had known each other for a good while. They had made plans, had trained with one another, and while everything seemed to have spiraled out of control with one broken mask, Punz never wavered.
Punz was all too used to the way things could change, the mercenary had known his friend’s secret for ages afterall, because Dream had known his.
They were both creatures of habit and both creatures commonly overlooked. Most don’t seek power just for the sake of it afterall. And certainly no one expects an axolotl and a cockatoo to hold grudges.
Punz was certain that Dream would come back around with something new.
The admin always had and always would be quick to adjust. Punz just had to be patient… right?
Even… even if it had been some time. But it wasn’t like him and Dream didn’t talk, they just… couldn’t really talk about all that.
Too many eyes and ears on them.
That had to be it.
Because Punz was getting that steady creep of paranoia crawling back up his neck and he could just see the way Dream was getting more and more antsy.
Any day now… any day.
He just… had to wait.
Be patient.
Steady.
Ready.
~
Dream was a coward. Or at least, he was being one right now.
The currently human-formed axolotl had been wandering about, having finally managed to shake off a talkative Tommy when the not-quite-teen (had it really been a couple years now since him and Tommy had initially met? The kid was almost 18… time sure did just fly by) had spotted a certain newly revived man (Wilbur hadn’t even gotten a moment before he was being descended upon).
It was as he kept on going alone that he eventually realized where his feet had led him.
Punz’ tower.
He stared, shifted on his feet, and then frowned. Sure, he’d spoken with the mercenary recently, but he hadn’t spoken with them.
You see, despite common opinion that he had made some large and deadly plan (hell he’d even made himself and Punz believe they had something more for the future) before Punz ‘betrayed’ him, it really had just been one hell of a power trip. A power trip that had turned into an all-consuming lust for utter control. It hadn’t been extravagant, it hadn’t been well thought out, and it sure as hell hadn’t been stable.
Dream was powerful, but the moment the advantage was lost? Things kind of fell apart. Espically now that, while technically capable once more, Dream had lost most of, if not all, his previous reputation and sway over the server.
Punz still held power, but they also had a stable reputation, everyone convinced that they had truly switched sides for a good score. There was no reveal of their involvement in Dream’s plots, no reveal of the betrayals held in the shadows, and there was no evidence that Punz was anything else than what everyone assumed.
At this point… was it even worth it? Was any of what they worked to earn worth it? Espically now that it just… prime he needed to speak with Punz didn’t he?
Dream sighed, pinching his brow before slipping into the tower, if he didn’t go in now, he’d loose his bravo.
~
Punz was settled on an absent ledge, admiring some newly aquired treasures gained from making a deal with BadBoyHalo (an odd job of designing a trap that would hold Skeppy for at least a week, seemed Bad wasn’t over the two’s latest ‘divorce’).
They were admittedly distracted, though to be fair, they were also used to people being noisy and announcing their presence rather than startling him.
“Hey,” the voice gave him a heart attack, the mercenary’s feathers flaring up as he froze in place. A familiar chuckle sounded to their surprise and Punz turned with an annoyed glare. His crest fell slowly, beak clicking shut with an newfound stubbornness.
So it seemed Dream had decided to pay him a visit today.
He still didn’t appreciate the interruption, form briefly involved in a warm, golden glow before he sat in human form. He gave Dream a frown. “Thanks for knocking,” he huffed, fiddling with his gold chain, “I would have thought you’d let me know when you’d show up.”
“Uh… oh yeah, I could have… where’s the fun in that though?” Dream gave a sheepish grin, shrugging as he plopped himself down next to them.
Punz snorted, a smile working its way onto his face, “How’ve you been?”
“Oh, fine,” Dream waved him off, “Sorry again, for the, um, short notice visit…” He paused, raising a brow, finally taking note of the treasure pile Punz had been in the midst of studying. “What’s all this from?”
“Deal with Bad, paid me to make a trap. Now, what are you up to?”
“Besides ruffling your feathers?” Punz gave a lackluster response, a simple quirk of a brow. “But uh,” Dream shrugged again, adjusting himself so he was laid back on the floor now, “I don’t suppose if you’d… be up for a little chat, Punzo?”
The other’s interest was caught, “Oh? Go on.” The mercenary leaned back as well, arms rested beneath his head.
“So. It’s… uh, it’s been awhile hasn’t it? Since we’ve done much of anything regarding,” they could see Dream give a twirling hand gesture out the corner of their eye, “You know, ‘The Plan.’”
“Mhm.”
“I… I have been giving it some thought this last week or so…”
Punz smirked, “Didn’t hurt yourself doing all that, did you?”
“Fuck off,” a smile was clear in Dream’s tone, “But well.” A pause, a sigh. “I’m not quite sure if I have… have a real want to start things back up again.”
“What?” Punz pushed himself up, giving the other a sharp look, “‘Real want?’ The hell is that supposed to mean?”
The other didn’t look at him, fidgeting, “Well… why did we start any of this in the first place…?”
“…what are…”
“You heard me,” Dream spread his hands with a sigh, staring up at the ceiling still, “Why the fuck did we start hurting our own friends?”
Punz tensed, frown deepening, “It wasn’t… we weren’t— nothing was uh, it wasn’t personal, it was…” The mercenary frowned, “They were simply… in the way of—“
“Of what!? Our stupid fucking power trip?” Dream all but snapped, finally looking at them, “Sure, it started harmless enough! Trying to keep the server from falling apart, upgrading our weaponry, making sure people knew not to fuck with us, but just… just the killing and the, the fucking…”
The admin blinked back irritated tears, his emotions clearly getting the better of him as he made a frustrated hiss. He took a deep breath, let out, and moved to sit up with a resigned chuckle. “It just… it was, sure it was nice to be feared and known, but just…”
Punz raised a questioning brow.
“I didn’t enjoy it. I don’t think I really ever did, I just… I’m happy now.” Dark eyes met steady blue, tired and thoughtful. “I’m actually… I’m actually happy.”
“…But what about—“
“The Plan? Let’s be honest,” a defeated grin, “We both knew I wanted them to throw me in that prison so I’d have time to make up some bullshit. We didn’t have shit anymore.”
Punz turned away, eyes narrowed. “And now you’ve decided to…” They turned to stare pointedly at the other, “Now you fucking—“
“I’m sorry.”
The mercenary cut themself off, looking coldly at Dream.
“I’m just… I’m sorry okay? I’m sorry I didn’t come to talk with you, I’m sorry I let this whole thing spin out of control, I’m sorry I let it just go out…” The admin pinched his brow, looking away with a grimace. “I can’t go back to who I became… the anger’s burned out of me. And… I’m pretty sure it’s burned out of you, too. Hasn’t it?”
Punz sighed as they gazed off to the side, running a hand through their hair. The silent tensed like a coiling serpent, after a moment, the other’s frustrated groan cut through it. “Fuck.”
Dream blinked over, meeting the other’s gaze. Punz stared back, biting hard on his lip before finally speaking again, “Fuck you. Okay, so what, I still waited a fucking year, I just… I’m going to strangle you, you dumbass.”
“Yeah?”
“Definitely,” The bite had all but burned out the other’s words.
“You going to at least revive me?” A weak smile touched upon the admin’s face.
Punz rolled his eyes, shoving at the other’s shoulder. “No. I’m going to let you fucking rot… so what. You just going to go off on your merry way?” A new bitterness slipped into his voice, a low whispering of ‘You just going to leave me behind again?’ haunting through those words.
Dream gave a hopeful smile, “Want to get some lunch?”
“…”
“I’ll pay?”
“…sure.”
~
Tommy had been trying to have a casual day sat infront of his house, Shroud hissing and spitting as the spider skittered about on his lead nearby. It was as he finally was entering zen mode that he heard someone coming down the prime path.
The young adult (he wasn’t some kid anymore, he was a big man) looked over with raised brow to see Dream walking along with a cockatoo settled on his shoulder.
Tommy called over, “Oi, prick!” Dream gazed over with a dry frown. “When’d you get a fucking parrot?”
The two stared at him, Tommy stared back. Dream smirked, “What parrot? This is Punz.”
“Ha ha, fuck you. But like, seriously, what’s up with the pa—“
“Want to hear a secret?”
Tommy’s mouth clamped shut, the lanky blond admittedly curious. He shrugged, “Sureeee?”
The admin sauntered over with a smile, gesturing to his bird again, “Punz, would you like to say something?”
He snorted, opening his mouth to ask what was up with this weird bit when the fucking cockatoo spoke up. In Punz’ fucking voice. “No one will ever believe you.”
Parrots could mimic people right, that was like their whole thing, Tommy was about to say so with a frown when in a shimmer of golden light, the cockatoo vanished and the mercenary stood between him and Dream, grinning sharply.
Punz shoved his hands into his pockets, leaning back to take in Tommy’s dropped jaw and sputtering. They snorted, shared a look with Dream, and in another flash, the bird was back on the guy’s shoulder.
“Alrighty! Byeeeeee~” The admin went sauntering back down the path, the cockatoo looking back with a tauntingly raised crest of feathers and a mocking head bobble.
He simply stared after them, brain trying to figure out what the fuck that just was. He blinked, blinked again, and slowly sat back down.
“…the fuck is wrong with this server?” Tommy asked the thin air. Thankfully, for the sake of his sanity, the air did not infact respond.

@lirabuswavi these are fantastic questions! I have lots of ideas!! So thanks for asking, makes it easier to think and lay out.
1) No birthday crime for Billy, he doesn’t really want to. They will however steal  bunch of artifacts from people who bought them from looters and donate them to museums and their home countries in his “name”. and have a party. that’s the plan (4 or 5 years of this make the Rogues the sweethearts of archeologists and academics the world over)
2) I’ve been thinking about the circus for a bit, got some ideas.
It did end up coming into town. BTW it is now named The Regal Circus (idk if it had a name in the comics)
The adult rogues break in and kidnap James’ dad and hang him upside down from a roof.
they get him in jail but it doesnt stick. mans slippy.
Boomerang figures out that the entire circus is just a front for a smuggling ring (drugs)
Cold takes offense
They burn down one of the main tents and personally threaten the ringmaster, who is James’ uncle (mothers side).
Flash turns a blind eye when he realizes exactly what they are doing.  he may or may not have sent in evidence to the police to get the leaders of the circus behind bars. james’ father never gets completely arrested, as he fled from the city and the country. This is a source of stress for James when he dwells too long in thought about his past.
that circus has never tried to reenter Central and actually has been banned from a few other major cities due to the scandal
3) So I actually wanted to have a moment where robin and trickster point at each other like the Spider-Man meme because circus people recognize other circus people
Tumblr media
But then I decided against that. Because ~secret identity~ and Batman might actually have a heart attack.
Circus’ defiantly gossip and Haly’s had beef with the Regal Circus ever since they stole the booking for a city 70 years ago and beat up some of Haly’s performers.
Robin has all the opinions. He personally thinks that the performers at Regal are less professional and defiantly less skilled. He knows he can out flip all of them. He knows that every one at Haly’s thought they were all thugs at Regal and he sort of agrees.
Im not entirely sure how Trickster and Robin realizing that they had both been in the circus comes about but I think it would be funny if Robin is like: yep makes sense that someone from Regal’s would become a super villain. Trickster would mostly want to challenge him to feats of acrobatics.
funnily enough, I think James may have been in the circus longer than Dick in this au lol

Star Fox Assault Playthrough
Tumblr media
Fighter: Falco Lombardi.
Game: Star Fox Assault, Gamecube. First Released on February 14th 2005.
ENTRY WARNING: This post will contain major spoilers for Star Fox Assault, there’s no giant twists but I go over the story of the game as it’s part of what I wanted to comment on regarding it, so if you really want to avoid spoilers for the game then I guess don’t read through the whole of my section regarding my playthrough.
Fighter Bio.
Falco Lombardi is the ace pilot of the Star Fox team, matched in skill only by Fox himself. A blue-feathered Avian, Falco is the tallest member of the Star Fox team, however he prefers piloting to engaging in missions on foot where possible, excelling in the air. Falco’s past is somewhat mysterious, seemingly starting life as part of a gang, possibly known as Free-As-A-Bird which he may have been the leader of. It is speculated that Katt Monroe who has affection for Falco was also in this gang, however Falco would get irritated by her often. Eventually, Falco left the group at Fox McCloud’s request to join the Star Fox team, with his skills making him rival Fox for the best pilot on the team. When the scientist and leader of Venom, Andross returned to initiate his invasion of the Lylat System, General Pepper called upon the Star Fox team to help defend Corneria and take down Andross’s Empire, a mission Falco was all too willing to take part in.
As discussed in Fox McCloud’s post, there are three different timelines for the Star Fox series. This one will go over the second timeline which starts with Star Fox 64 (also known as Lylat Wars) and ends with Star Fox Command, although the previous paragraph is essentially the same event that occurs in all three timelines. In this timeline following Andross’s defeat, Falco grows restless due to the lack of excitement he’s finding in the Star Fox Team’s latest assignments, mostly tracking down the remnants of Andross’s Forces who don’t put up much of a fight. Falco begins arguing more and more with Fox during this period and eventually, following a distress call from Katt Monroe that Falco finds he goes alone to meet with her. Katt is with the Free-As-A-Bird gang and under attack on the planet Titania by a leftover Andross Bioweapon. Falco saves the gang and learns that Captain Shears, a Cornerian soldier is researching projects Andross had in development. Katt doesn’t trust Captain Shears motives, however Fox is called in by Captain Shears to attack the gang, telling him they are remnants of Andross’s forces. Falco in response gets into a dogfight with Fox, the two drawing and heavily damaging each other’s ships, with Falco admitting to himself how impressive Fox has become (or possibly how rusty he’s gotten). Fox uncovers Captain Shears plan, fighting a clone of Andross and destroying it, meanwhile Falco once again saves the gang from another bioweapon set on them. Falco believes Katt has found someone else she cares for within the gang and guesses they are growing romantically close, with Falco deciding to go it alone, telling Fox before he leaves to tell Katt and her friend to leave the gang life behind.
Falco’s whereabouts and actions beyond this point for several years are unknown, but a long time later, when Fox is engaged in a battle he’s about to lose, Falco reappears to help him, providing Fox with bombs to destroy the threat he’s facing and deciding to rejoin the team. Falco is still a hothead, however he seems to have mellowed over these years, becoming, with Peppy’s retirement as an active part of the Star Fox flight team, Fox’s second in command over Slippy and new recruit Krystal. Falco eagerly engages with the Armada formed by Andross’s nephew Andrew Oikonny, flying into battle with the team’s upgraded Arwing. During this battle, a new threat reveals itself, the Aparoids, insectoid beings that can take over technology and other beings, controlling them in their plan to multiply and take over the Lylat System and beyond.
Falco is a brash but skilled pilot who can be difficult to get along with, but also shows loyalty to his teammates, coming to think of them over time as possibly like family. Falco’s biggest flaw is his arrogance which has caused him to have confrontations with other members of the team, most commonly Fox and difficulty with authority, although he will never go as far as to jeopardize a mission due to this. Falco’s arrogance also is what’s holding him back from being the undisputed ace flyer of the Star Fox Team, whilst his abilities are possibly the best of the group, his temper and dislike to taking things too slow can lead him to fly into dangerous situations he has to be bailed out of, which leaves him somewhat ashamed, especially when he’s saved by Fox. Over the years Falco mellowed out however and whilst still remaining a rival of Fox’s he became more willing to thank him for assistance often berating himself for getting into the situation rather than his more sarcastic responses of his youth. Although he has left the Star Fox Team multiple times, Falco always returns when he’s needed most, perhaps out of seeking glory and excitement, but also possibly due to his bond to the team and his friends, although he would never admit it. Falco’s past is a mystery with much of it only being hinted at but never explicitly explained, something that makes him stand out from the rest of the team who have all had family members and their backstory detailed somewhat over the years.
Falco has the second fastest running speed of the team but also the worst endurance, meaning he relies more on hit-and-run tactics when fighting on the ground. Falco has one of the lowest skill levels when it comes to using the Landmaster, but the highest Arwing skill level, being able to lock on and target enemies in an Arwing better and faster than anyone else. Despite his amazing pilot skills, Falco does not do well when forced to use the Wolfen, the only character besides Wolf whose skill differs based on what ship he’s flying. Falco refuses to take part in land based or sea based warfare leaving it to the other team members to do so and flying support from the skies. Next to Fox, Falco is the character on the team most associated with the Arwing, using it in almost every single one of his appearances, including being the only Star Fox member besides Fox himself to fly one during the events on Dinosaur Planet. The only exception to this is the final entry in the Star Fox 64 Timeline, Star Fox Command where Falco pilots the Sky Claw, a modified Arwing with broader wings that have claw-like tips. The Sky Claw has a single laser, one Smart Bomb in its payload and a Multi-Lock. The ship’s sole weakness is its low health, however in return it has a higher Boost/Brake/Roll meter than most other ships, suiting Falco’s usual hit and run tactics.
Friends: As much as he’s unwilling to admit it, Fox is probably Falco’s best friend, with him often returning to help Fox when he’s in need and forming a formidable duo in dogfights. Fox often comes to Falco’s aid, but Falco has probably come to Fox’s aid the most of the team, often arriving to give him powerups as well as in one case to rescue him when Fox was pinned down by enemies on the planet Fichina. Fox trusts Falco to the point that he has in the past told Falco he wants him to take over his role if he should fall as the head of the Star Fox Team. Falco is friends with Slippy although he will pick on him sometimes, especially for Slippy’s careless mistakes requiring him to be rescued often in battle. Falco seems to reluctantly respect Peppy, often raising his eyes at his advice but not being as insulting or sarcastic with him as he is with the others. Falco is fairly cordial with Krystal, not interacting with her very much although as a teammate still working well with her. When Falco first sees Krystal he encourages Fox to talk with her and seemingly supports the two getting together. When it comes to romance himself however, Falco often says he has no interest in it, which is to the disappointment of Katt Monroe, a former partner of his from his gang days who sometimes tracks him down. When it seems Katt is growing close to someone else he supports them getting together, although is hard to read with regards to whether he’s completely uninterested in her or not. In one of the many endings of Star Fox Command Falco leaves Team Star Fox to form a group with Katt and Dash Bowman, a member of the Cornerian Air Force to become Star Falco. This is also interesting as Falco’s interactions with Dash during the game are more demeaning and suspicious of him due to his inexperience and relation to Andross (Dash being his Grandson) although he eventually warms up to him it seems.
Enemies/Rivals: Despite arguably having the least personal stake in the conflict, and being more of a thrill seeker than focused on justice, Falco seems to despise Andross’s empire, often being one of the first to express his shock at their actions such as the state of Corneria City during their invasion and the pollution on Zoness. Falco never personally fights Andross only engaging with his forces, but he seems to acknowledge Fox’s personal fight and doesn’t try to take the glory of fighting Andross for himself from his teammate. Due to this and Fox being the one most often fighting the main threat the team are facing, the closest to Falco’s arch enemy is the Star Wolf member Leon Powalski. Whereas Falco is an Ace Pilot, Leon is a renowned Marksman and in contrast to Falco’s thrill seeking Leon seems to enjoy causing pain and suffering in his victims. Leon and Falco seem to have possibly met before their encounter in Star Fox 64, although another similarity they both have are their pasts being mostly a mystery. Falco’s response to most other foes is to simply want to take them down, not getting very personal in a fair few cases but still often being disgusted by the pain and suffering they inflict. Besides Leon, Falco’s biggest rival arguably is Fox himself, although this is far more of a friendly rivalry and Falco never really states a desire to outright battle Fox, merely trying to outdo him in missions and disliking being saved by him.
Crossovers with other Smash characters: Whilst the Star Fox series has had a couple and one cancelled crossover with other series in Smash Bros, Fox more often appeared in those than Falco. Because of this, there’s only really one crossover as such of Falco with another series in Smash, which is in Star Fox Command in one of the many endings, Fox and Falco decide to become G-Zero Racers, which is a racing league very similar (and clearly a reference) to the F-Zero league. Along with this, Falco can also fight Octoman, a character who is a racer in F-Zero and seemingly appeared as part of the Anglar Forces in Star Fox Command.
Tumblr media
Why this game?
So, with the Star Fox series I had a fair bit of an internal debate about what games to go with to represent who. I always knew Fox himself would be represented by Star Fox 64, being the definitive and arguably best game in the series as a whole. For Falco I was thinking of going with Star Fox Command at first, mostly because barring multiplayer and the then unreleased Star Fox 2, this was the only game where Falco was playable at the time, however he didn’t fly an Arwing which was important to me when it came to this. Therefore, I decided it was best to go with the other option for Falco, even though in the main game he’s not playable, that being Star Fox Assault. Star Fox Command will be covered when it comes to Wolf since he actually pilots the Wolfen rather than another ship in that. Whilst my specific Smash Playthrough for this game was only the single player, I have played a fair bit of the multiplayer in this game over the years, usually as Falco, therefore I still feel confident in my choice here. The final note I’ll make is if I was doing this now, I would probably have gone for Starlink Battle For Atlas’s DLC instead, but as it is I’ve played through that for Slippy and Peppy much further down my list now, so I didn’t miss out on that anyway, still it along with possibly Star Fox 2 would probably be the best choices for Falco games.
Tumblr media
My past with this game.
Before I start going into my history with Star Fox Assault the game, I want to go a little over Falco specifically. I mentioned in Fox’s post how a lot of Star Fox 64 was associated with playing the game at my Cousins. Well, we were all pretty big fans of Star Fox back then, also being Star Wars fans, as you can probably guess we’d quote the game constantly, something we still do when we meet up and play games to this day. Anyway, the three of us tended to have specific characters we’d gravitate towards for various Nintendo series. My older cousin would play Mario a lot in games where he was available, and for Star Fox he would play Peppy, his favourite colour was red so it would often line up. My other cousin’s favourite colour was green, he’d play as Yoshi in almost any game he was in, however there was another character I’d associate him with just as much, who he would pick over Yoshi if he was available, being Fox. Back in the Melee days, my cousin would play Fox constantly, and whilst I learnt later how big Fox was in Melee, I still believe he did so more just because he liked playing as Fox. Admittedly, I tended to jump around a fair bit when it comes to characters I use, I’d often gravitate to someone like Koopa Troopa in various Mario games, however when it came to playing Star Fox, I would always gravitate towards Falco, something I eventually began doing in Melee partially admittedly to combat my Cousin’s Fox (he was the best of the three of us at Melee) but also simply because I liked Falco for some reason. For the record, my favourite colour is blue so that could have played a factor too. The point of this long ramble beyond nostalgia for me is just to say of the whole Star Fox team, Falco’s always been my personal favourite, and I always wished there was some sort of multiplayer game or just one where you could freely play as the whole team. I guess finally Slippy was just if we’d have anyone else playing with us on rare occasions.
So, my history with Star Fox Assault specifically is a somewhat unusual one for me thinking back. Basically, I loved Star Fox 64, I played some of Adventures and sort of got into it for a bit but gradually lost interest because it wasn’t a ‘real Star Fox game.’ Admittedly now I realise it was good that they tried something different (the reasons behind that admittedly not being too positive and happy from the sounds of it granted) but I was more excited for the teased Star Fox game I read about in a Nintendo Magazine coming up on Gamecube and in the arcades. There was a screenshot of four Arwings looking like cleaned up versions of the ship from Star Fox Adventures with a classic looking mugshot of Fox in the communicator at the bottom. This was the last I ever saw of that game and years passed with no news on it. Finally after a long time I remember Star Fox Assault being revealed, it was due to have on foot parts as well as a return to the classic Arwing stages and the Landmasters return. At the time, I don’t really remember what I thought, despite being a huge Star Fox fan, I remember thinking of it as one of those games I would maybe check out sometime but wasn’t in a rush to play. The game came out and I saw reviews weren’t too great, saying the on foot parts weren’t particularly good which given how I’d wanted a return to the classic style of Star Fox disappointed me to hear as the majority of the game was on foot.
A year or two passed and one day I was in Toys R Us. In there they had a Gamecube set up to play, something that was pretty rare back then given how it was when Nintendo’s presence seemed to be diminishing quite a bit, this was late into the Gamecube’s run and at that point I was in Middle School, my most hated time in education. Most people I knew were dropping Nintendo or were people who’d never played their consoles, something that being the avid fanboy back then left me fairly isolated when everyone was discussing FIFA, GTA and COD. This was probably the most ‘console wars’ period I personally remember, Pokemon as a fad had practically gone from the playground, Nintendo was regarded as ‘kiddie shit’ by most at my school and my Cousins whilst still playing some Nintendo games weren’t as into it as I was, not really going for many new Gamecube titles and focusing more on PC. I saw the game currently on the demo system was Star Fox Assault and I decided to play it. The stage it starts with was Oikonny’s Fleet and it really blew me away. This was everything I’d always wanted to see in a Star Fox game, it made you feel amazing with the enemies all losing their minds over how you’re taking out their armada, giant capital ships you could blow up, it looked fantastic and admittedly I felt amazing playing through it in public, even if from what I remember there wasn’t really anyone watching me. Anyway, after playing that I decided I had to find out what was going on with this game and how I’d missed it. I looked up reviews in the magazines I had, one was a pretty disappointed average review, another however was a lot more positive, I remember them comparing the ground combat to Jet Force Gemini, a game I was a fan of back in the N64 era. This made my mind up, I needed this game.
So, sometime later I got Star Fox Assault, I don’t remember specifics, possibly as a present for my birthday or Christmas. I played through the game and loved it, for a bit. Eventually, I came to realise it’s flaws more, I’d realised it definitely wasn’t the follow up to Star Fox 64 I’d dreamed of, I also came to realise that there were a fair few things I really wished were different, more flying specific levels for example. With that said, despite it having its flaws, I still really enjoyed replaying it a lot, playing through specific stages, which of course included that Space Armada level that had impressed me originally. I remember at the time, either before or slightly after I played Star Wars Battlefront, a fantastic game that actually reminded me somewhat of this game due to being able to hop into vehicles and hop out whenever you wanted (in certain stages) which gave me a bit more of an appreciation for how Assault worked. Overall as a game, Assault is flawed but not terrible, definitely not as good as 64 but I hesitate to call it an outright bad game. There is one aspect however which I do feel is hugely underrated, something that I think this game really excels at, multiplayer.
I managed to convince my Cousins to try this game out, they weren’t overly enthused by the single player, my older cousin especially not liking a story element I’ll get into in my playthrough, but when we played the multiplayer, I think it rose up to one of our favourite multiplayer games on Gamecube, which is up against Melee, Timesplitters and various other classics. I think what was the best was just how free the combat was, you could run around on foot using various weapons, jump into an Arwing and try to hunt down other players from the skies or jump into a Landmaster running down foes on foot and trying to shoot Arwings out of the sky. Another thing we loved doing was trying to ride on the wings of other players Arwings, with us often making a challenge out of trying to pull off absurd stunts etc. I know this multiplayer mode isn’t one that’s talked about fondly that often, but it’s probably the most memorable part of the game for me and something I still remember enjoying to this day.

My Smash Playthrough.
I believe for this playthrough I did the normal difficulty, as much as I did enjoy this game it was never to the point I really tried to 100% it or anything. The game had really two main forms of gameplay for the stages, a free-roam style and the on-rails style that’s the ‘default’ Star Fox gameplay. For the free-roam stages you’re mostly on foot (barring one or two free-roam stages in space which are Arwing only) and can have access to three different forms of transport. The first of course is simply on foot where you use various weapons, the most basic and the one with unlimited ammo being the blaster, which similarly to the vehicles in the game can perform regular and charged shots. Others include a Machine Gun, Gatling Gun, Sniper Rifle and Rocket Launcher. The second form of transport in these free-roam stages is the Landmaster tank, which sports a different design here to Star Fox 64 being sleeker and thinner. This Landmaster being in stages where you can also be on foot makes it in contrast feel a lot more powerful than it was in Star Fox 64, where it was only used in two on-rails levels, it’s able to run over smaller enemies that have to be fought when on-foot for example and it’s charged blasts are far more powerful than any weapon Fox can use. Finally, there’s the Arwing which only appears in select free-roam stages. I personally find it a lot of fun to hop into an Arwing and fly around the stage you were having to walk through earlier, however the main issue with this is that with the speed and size of the Arwing in these stages it can be somewhat difficult to achieve much other than shoot down enemies in the sky. It is sometimes doable to take down targets on the ground with the Arwing but it’s more bother than it’s worth. The Arwing also is the only vehicle used in the on-rails stages which work just like the stages in Star Fox 64 with the Arwing following a set path but you being able to move around the screen to avoid enemy fire and obstacles etc.
The first stage was that one I’ve already gone on about at length, where you fight Oikonny’s Fleet, who are a remnant of Andross’s forces brought together by his nephew Andrew Oikonny. Oikonny was one of the members of the four person Star Wolf team fought various times in Star Fox 64 led by Wolf O’donnell, but left the team to pursue his own ambitions of trying to take his Uncle’s position as the new head of Andross’s Empire. The fight after the space battle goes down to the planet Fortuna which is an interesting choice as it has a fair bit of history in the Star Fox series appearing in the very first Star Fox game (the first timeline) as the ‘dinosaur planet’, being a humid jungle planet but not in Star Fox 64. In Star Fox Assault, Fortuna appeared for the first time in this second timeline as a planet with a humid jungle climate. Anyway, beyond all that, this stage is fairly good, it’s another on-rails Arwing stage where you fight off Oikonny’s forces, with a lot more ground forces now appearing in the various base complexes on the planet that you fly by. Oikonny is fought as the boss which I’ll detail later, however after his defeat the real villains of the game make their first appearance being the Aparoids, seemingly killing a defiant Andrew mid-sentence. The second stage following this is one of my favourite planets and one that when I saw it, I was excited for, being the planet Katina. Katina’s a semi-arid planet that has various military installations from the Cornerian forces and there were plans for colonies to be set up there. The mission debriefing introduces a somewhat new character, who was named in some notes in Star Fox 64 but makes his first appearance here, Beltino Toad, Slippy’s Father. Beltino tells the team details of the Aparoids and their abilities based on information learnt from an attack they made many years ago on a Cornerian fleet. This is the first on-foot mission where contact with a base has been lost and Fox is sent to look for any survivors. It’s fairly simple as the first on-foot mission but there are a lot of different enemies you fight, being all aparoids, from the simple ones who only take a couple of hits, to the annoying big ones who require a fully charged shot (or rocket) to defeat and the hatchers that constantly produce new enemies and are the objective of the stage. The main disappointment for me with this stage was the hope of seeing Bill, a character from Star Fox 64 who was part of the forces you fought alongside on Katina and I thought might have been the survivor you found. As it is, Fox finds no survivors in the base. It turns out the distress signal sent out was actually a trap set by another Star Wolf member, one Fox has a lot of animosity for being Pigma Dengar, the one who betrayed Fox’s Father to his death. Pigma steals the core memory of the Aparoid boss Fox had defeated, planning to sell it for riches. The Star Fox team immediately pursue Pigma, going to his most recently known location Sargasso Space Station. The team arrive there and one of the gang living on the station ask them why they are intruding on ‘Lord O’donnell’s territory’. Fox explains they’re just there for Pigma but on learning this is the Star Fox team the gang immediately begin to attack them. This is probably one of my favourite levels in the game. Fox and Slippy are inside the space station trying to take down key targets whilst Falco and Krystal battle against the gang’s formidable space forces outside. This is also the only stage where you fight the monkeys that made up Andross’s army in Star Fox 64 on-foot in the series. When the bar fills up too much from the amount of space forces outside, Fox must jump into his Arwing and help take down their numbers before returning back to the station. Slippy is actually one of the highlights of this stage, unlike his flying antics where he’s constantly getting into trouble, Slippy on-foot seems invincible and perhaps more concerningly, has a vacant stare and smile on his face as he runs around firing his lasers. It’s bizarre and somewhat funny to watch especially as he often yells “No mercy!” Once the targets are taken down the head of the gang, Wolf and his Star Wolf team return. Fox demands they hand over Pigma but Wolf says he’s going to make Fox pay for his attack on the station, leading to a space battle between the two teams. Star Wolf’s lineup this time is different to before, Wolf and Leon are still on the team, but the only other member of the team is a newcomer, Panther Caroso who flirts with Krystal and has the symbol of a rose on his Wolfen. Following their defeat Wolf admits he hasn’t seen Pigma for a long time, kicking him off the team some time ago for his greed getting too overbearing.
The next planet visited is Fichina the snow planet. The climate control centre for the planet has been taken over with many of the scientists within killed by the Aparoids. The Aparoids find themselves helped in this by Pigma who seems to have struck an alliance in the name of profit with them. This stage can be irritating, due to the climate control centre being invaded, blizzards make vision limited, meaning Fox has to go on-foot as well as using a Landmaster. (Which is almost required due to how big the level is) When Fox reaches inside the Climate Control Centre he is trapped inside with infected security robots. Fox cannot defeat them and has to keep alive long enough for Falco to reach him in his Arwing and rescue Fox. This leads to the first of a new mechanic in this game, wing riding. Fox stands on the wing of Falco’s Arwing and gains an exclusive weapon for this game mode, a fast firing plasma cannon that would be amazingly useful in the other on-foot missions but naturally is exclusive to this game mechanic. Fox must fire on all enemies that are aiming at the Arwing before they fire and shoot Falco along with Fox down. This can be somewhat irritating but it’s nothing overly difficult. Naturally despite Fox literally standing precariously on the wing of an Arwing in flight, armed with only a hand cannon, Slippy of course needs help from pursuing enemies at one point. After this Fox finally gets to pilot his own Arwing to face the boss. The next stage is Meteo, another returning location being the infamous asteroid field. Fox must pursue Pigma through this on-rails flying section. It’s a pretty fun stage being one of the very few traditional Star Fox stages in the game, taking Fox through a hidden base facility inside a giant asteroid. This base has been completely taken over by Aparoids with various enemies seen at the start of the game as part of Oikonny’s forces appearing as Aparoid infected versions. Finally, the boss is encountered at the end of the base, being a horrific giant face of Pigma now fully infected and assimilated into the Aparoid’s forces. The next stage is another favourite of mine, Sauria, the planet from Star Fox Adventures also known as the Dinosaur Planet has now been invaded by the Aparoids. Dying dinosaurs infected by the Aparoids can be found lying around the map and the mission is to take out the hatchers. It’s a fairly simple mission although not particularly easy, however my favourite element of it is that you have the Landmaster and Arwing available to you. If you’re skilled and have enough patience the majority of the hatchers can actually be taken out by the Arwing, with only the ones inside the caverns and temples in the stage requiring you to stay on-foot. This stage has no boss which whilst I like the bosses in the game somewhat helps make it a bit of a breather stage. Krystal joins Fox on the ground and similar to Slippy before is invincible I believe. Following the mission Fox and Krystal reunite with a grown-up Prince Tricky, the dinosaur companion Fox has in Star Fox Adventures and there’s a nice short cutscene with them talking for a bit before the next stage.
The next stage is interesting, the story is reaching its endgame now, but this is the Corneria stage in the game. Corneria in almost every other game is always the first stage visited but this is technically the final planet before the Aparoid Homeworld this time. It turns out the invasion of Sauria was a distraction with the main invasion fleet of the Aparoids taking control of Corneria City. General Pepper who has been leading the debriefings for each mission up this point is cut off in the middle of his debriefing here. Fox has to fight on-foot once again, but this time there are special radar jamming enemies that can only be defeated by a sniper shot when their eyes open. When these foes open their eyes however they shoot out a sonic wave that homes in on Fox, meaning you have to be quick and not stay too long in the same spot after taking the shot to destroy them. The Sniper Rifle’s a nice weapon to use, with the shot almost instantly reaching long distances which can make it satisfying. Notable enemies on this stage are infected Cornerian soldiers which is the only time in the series I believe where you fight against them. Their infected design is fairly unsettling too. Following the Radar Jammer’s destruction Fox is granted an Arwing, however before you get to do that it is blown up and Fox has to be rescued by Wolf of all people. Similarly to on Fichina, Wolf has Fox ride on the wing doing a harder but essentially the same thing as before. The boss of this stage also involves riding on Wolf’s wing, however it is quite a notable one, fighting General Pepper’s flagship which has been infected by the Aparoids with him inside it. Pepper can only control what he says at this point, not his actions and orders Fox to shoot him down, leading to an actually somewhat emotional boss fight. When Pepper is about to fall to his death following the fight, he’s saved at the last moment by Peppy who flew out an Arwing to help catch the General’s ship cushioning it’s fall somewhat. Pepper is still alive but in no condition to help anymore for the rest of the game. Next up is a stage that’s quite important for Smash Bros, being one of the few that didn’t return in Ultimate but was in Smash for Wii U the Orbital Gate. Beltino Toad seems to have taken over the running of operations for the Cornerian forces with Pepper out of action, and he’s come up with a plan to use a special bomb on the Aparoid Queen that will take down the whole hive mind, however it’s still being developed. The Star Fox Team along with the remaining Cornerian forces and Star Wolf must protect the Orbital Gate where this research is being conducted from the Aparoid forces who eventually begin firing bigger and bigger missiles. This is a pretty fun mission, it’s very similar to Sector Z in Star Fox 64, with you fighting various fighters for a while before moving onto taking down incoming missiles. It’s cool also the scale of the battle, with the Cornerian forces fighting alongside you (often getting destroyed as the battle goes on) and your team along with Star Wolf assisting you in taking down the missiles. What’s good is they do help take down the missiles so it feels like a group effort more than you being expected to do everything yourself. The final missile is huge being almost a capital ship (and funnily enough probably stronger than any of the other large starships you can blow up in the game) where you have to take out multiple sections of it before the whole thing is destroyed. With the gate defended, the bomb is completed and the Star Fox Team along with Star Wolf are able to travel through the gate to the Aparoid Homeworld, the final stage of the game.
The next stage is horrible, it’s I’d say the toughest in the game and extremely unforgiving. The planet of the Aparoids is actually pretty interesting, one half Krystal comments on as looking lovely, but then the other half is not only desolate but seems to have almost been eaten away by the Aparoids, with the inside of the planet being hollow, looking almost like a fruit that’s been devoured on one side by insects. It’s never said but this almost implies that this planet might have been inhabited by another species and taken over by the Aparoids since it doesn’t seem to be its natural state. Above the entrance to the core of the planet is a giant honeycomb shaped shield, with a city floating above it. This city may have been created by the previous inhabitants and infested by the Aparoids but there’s no clear evidence either way. Gameplay-wise, this city is terrible to deal with, there are many ways you can fall off which leads to an instant death, it’s got very long corridors and can be incredibly difficult to navigate. The mission is to once again take down all the hatchers, however they are laid out all over the place and all have shields which require you to also locate a shield generator before being able to attack them. To top all of this off, the worst part of his huge stage is that dying results in having to start from scratch meaning it can and I believe in my playthrough did take me absolutely ages to beat. I was going to save talking about the music for later, but I will say the music in this stage is also a big factor on how irritating it is. It’s not bad music but it’s pretty intense, fitting of the area but given just how long you’re there grows old fast. It is the final on-foot stage of the game so of course I get it being challenging, but this stage is definitely a huge test of endurance and patience which is the only stage I never want to replay. During this fight, the Cornerian Fleet along with Peppy and Rob64 in the Great Fox are distracting the bulk of the Aparoid forces in a space battle above the planet, one which results in 20% of the Cornerian forces being completely destroyed and the bulk having to retreat. When the shield is taken down the Star Fox team prepare for their assault, but just then, a secondary shield appears, made up of small honeycomb shaped segments. Falco attempts to blast the shield but his shots just bounce off and it looks like the team cannot continue, just then however, something flies in from above, the Great Fox absolutely covered in Aparoids. Peppy demands they all move out of the way and in one last ditch effort uses all remaining power in the Great Fox to fire at the shield. He then rams the ship into the shield shattering it temporarily. Knowing this is likely the end but there’s no time for anything more to be said, he demands the Star Fox team enter the core before the shields regenerate, which Fox reluctantly agrees to. The Great Fox explodes above them as they fly into the caverns below.
For the final stage, the journey into the core, this is an on-rails Arwing stage and definitely the hardest. I guess the easiest comparisons to make would be comparing it to the section before Andross in Star Fox 64, or if you wanted to go with a big pop culture reference, the interior of the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi. Tons of enemies will block your path as you fly through meaning there’s a lot to deal with, there’s also plenty of walls and closing doors that block your way as you go requiring you to fly through specific gaps. What’s cool is that Star Wolf and the Star Fox team are alongside you through the majority of the stage so there’s plenty of chatter if you like that going on. Star Wolf eventually sacrifice themselves by attracting the overwhelming enemies towards the end of the stage to chase them leaving the Star Fox team free to reach the Queen for the final battle. The Queen tries to get Fox to give up by using the voices of those who have been infected by the aparoids before, Pigma, General Pepper, Peppy, Rob64 and finally James McCloud all telling Fox to give in. That final one proves to be the Queen’s biggest mistake however, because using Fox’s Father to tell him to give up makes him remember his father’s actual words to him (or at least what he believed he heard) when fighting Andross, to never give up, and so the final battle begins. Following the fight, Fox fires the special bomb into the Queen, wiping her and the Aparoids out as well as destroying the planet. Fox and his team escape and then learn that Peppy and Rob64 also survived by using the Great Fox’s bridge as an escape pod. Slippy then asks Fox if he thinks others survived and he says he’s confident Star Wolf and General Pepper will have done so as well, leading to the credits. What’s cool is that the credits show each planet and go over what happened to them, how much damage they sustained in the invasions and what will happen to them going forward, some are somewhat dark actually with one of the tribes on Sauria being confirmed to have been completely wiped out. With 20% of the Cornerian fleet wiped out there were a huge amount of casualties also. The music in this game was fantastic, they did orchestrated versions of a lot of the music from Star Fox 64, but it was so good that some music tracks I never overly noticed in 64 like the Corneria theme became some of my favourites in Assault. Standouts to me are the Corneria theme, Meteo, Fichina and especially the Star Wolf theme of the returning tracks, and Sauria and Oikonny’s Fleet of the new tracks for Assault. The boss music tracks were also great and even if I had to keep redoing a battle would help make it less irritating to repeat as I enjoyed hearing them again, something that I noted earlier wasn’t the case for the Aparoid Homeworld theme however.
Finally, I want to go over the bosses. The first boss of the game is actually one of the most memorable, being Oikonny’s flagship. What’s cool about this fight is that it’s Andrew’s attempt to replicate the boss fight with his Uncle Andross from Star Fox 64. The thing is, just like Andrew himself, it’s a pale imitation of the original, making for a fun fight but definitely not a tough one. It’s also followed by the very first Aparoid fought in the game. It’s interesting that this Aparoid looks identical to the one Beltino Toad tells the team attacked and destroyed a Cornerian fleet some years ago, although it’s not said if it’s the same one. It’s a fairly average boss fight and sadly sets the scene for boss fights that aren’t as memorable as Star Fox 64’s due to a lack of dialogue or personality in the foes. A cool scene is that, following the defeat of this Aparoid, it’s revealed a whole swarm of ones exactly the same are arriving on the planet which leaves the Star Fox team having to retreat. It’s also odd despite this scene, that this type of Aparoid is not seen again throughout the rest of the game. The boss of Katina is fairly simple, although somewhat impressive with its size, it requires using the Landmaster to attack a weakpoint on its underside, which causes its legs to collapse and its saucer shaped head to become accessible which houses its core. The next boss fight is a familiar one, being against the Star Wolf Team. This is a fun dogfight with the Star Wolf Team doing their usual tactics, Leon targeting Falco, Panther being new targeting the new member Krystal and Wolf focusing on Fox. The battle isn’t tough being only the third stage of the game and this is the only fight with Star Wolf in the game, so that’s slightly disappointing, but it's still a nice end to what I consider a fun stage. The boss of Fichina is the first that’s in the standard level style where you can freely move around, but also allows the use of an Arwing, involving you firing into the cylindrical weapon when it’s firing its giant laser. It’s a fairly simple battle but not bad from what I remember. The Pigma boss fight is similar to a particularly annoying one from Star Fox 64, Gorgon where he will hide his face and use claws to attack you. Destroying the claws makes him open his face up to fire a laser at you, which is his weak point. This fight is far easier than Gorgon was, however it’s still fairly challenging from what I remember, also the expressions the Pigma face makes (especially when defeated) are certainly something. The General Pepper boss fight, despite me liking how emotional it is with him telling you to just keep firing on him is very simplistic due to being part of the riding the wing section of the stage. All you have to do is keep shooting at him when he’s approaching which keeps him from attacking you. Of course there’s other enemies you also have to deal with and he moves around a lot, but still it’s very simple overall. I don’t really count the final missile at the Orbital gate as a boss, and I already mentioned how to beat that, it is fun to take down though. The Aparoid Homeworld luckily doesn’t have a boss (given how frustrating that stage already is it’s a relief to get it over with.) so that leaves just the final boss, the Aparoid Queen. She has three different forms, the first of which is like a giant statue in the middle of her chamber, rooted to the ground with armour around her midsection. This armour when blasted away will reveal a pink gem which is her weakpoint and damages her when shot. Following her defeat in this form, the Queen’s remains are open for Fox to fire the special bomb into, which he does. The Queen however changes forms and begins the retreat, attempting to develop an antibody to protect herself from the bomb which would render it useless. The Star Fox Team pursue her to ensure that doesn’t happen, fighting her second form in an on-rails flying section. In this second form there are four jewel-like eyes that have to be fired at to reveal the Queen’s dragon-like head. Overall it’s fairly challenging but not very difficult. Following the defeat of this form the Queen desperately tries to escape in her final form, this form is vulnerable to hits anywhere, but bounces around like crazy, with one of its attacks being to send a tunnel of energy out that you must stay in the middle of to remain undamaged, and its other attack being a form of fire breath. This form is weak but can take you down if you’re at low health from the previous form so requires caution, still with its defeat the Queen is fully destroyed and with her the whole of the Aparoid race falls too.
In conclusion, probably my biggest criticism of this game’s story, and what I remember my Cousin also bringing up was, a lot of this barely has any weight to it. Every single sacrifice in the game turns out to have had the named characters survive, and almost all the terrible losses are basically mentioned in text. Now, this is definitely something that’s happened in a lot of other games, Zelda for example often has background events where thousands likely died that are mentioned in passing, but the difference is they don’t often have characters seeming to sacrifice themselves just to turn out totally fine in the end, or at least not to the level that they do in Assault. General Pepper, Star Wolf, Peppy and Rob64 all seemingly die with Fox often expressing great sorrow at what happens, only for them to be mentioned to be fine in the next scene, heck Pepper and Star Wolf’s final appearances in the game are them sacrificing themselves, they don’t even appear after being said to have survived. Does this mean I wish they’d have killed someone off? Well actually, normally I’m totally against this, and he’s one of my favourite characters, but yes, I feel either Peppy or General Pepper should have been killed off. In Star Fox Command Pepper is retired and doesn’t even appear so keeping him alive was even more pointless, whereas at least Peppy had a role that made his survival semi worthwhile. At the end of it all, sadly how rough the Aparoid Homeworld stage was leaves a bit of a bitter end to what was overall a fairly fun experience I felt, if flawed in a few ways, it was still a game I was glad to play again for my list.
Specific aspects about the game relating to Falco in Smash.
Falco is only playable in this game’s multiplayer, however due to the nature of the series, this is Falco’s only appearance outside of Smash Bros where he’s fully playable outside of a vehicle. Since Fox is the sole playable character in single player, every playable character in multiplayer plays the same just with different stats such as faster move speed or higher jump and better at certain vehicles, with Falco of course being best in an Arwing. In Smash Bros Falco fights very similarly to Fox so this fits for Assault, his default weapon just like Fox is a standard Blaster. The blaster can charge up like Fox’s or just do standard fire which is closer to his blaster shots in Smash Bros. Falco can pilot a Landmaster which shares the design in Super Smash Bros Brawl with this version in Assault. Falco is much less skilled at a Landmaster so the priority when playing as him is to find the first Arwing you can. The only other weapon that really comes close to something Falco and Fox use in Smash Bros is the barrier shield, an item that creates an energy bubble around them for a brief period blocking attacks, although unlike the reflector it does not reflect attacks back. Falco’s design in Smash Bros is closer to his Star Fox 64 and Command designs. In Assault he wears red which is only really close to an alt Falco has in Smash Bros.
