That day, she was amazed to discover that when he was saying "As you wish," what he meant was, "I love you." And even more amazing was the day she realized she truly loved him back.

This (and previous) good omens study club theme, tartan and a movie still. I decided to choose one from Little Women, which I have yet to watch.

David: I should be a hostage negotiator with my skill attacking diplomacy.
Georgia: Right.
David: And courage, frankly.
Georgia: Ok.
David: *Getting confident* Yeah. I could be a knight of the Round Table.
Georgia: *laughing* Ok.
David: *Too proud* I have faced a dragon and I did not flinch.
Georgia: Oh, you spoke to Sam.
David: And Michael.
Georgia: Wow, two dragons.
David: Yeah, two dragons. Smitted, smote, slain. Dead.
Georgia: That is… unnecessarily aggressive.
David: Not dead. But… mollified.
Georgia: Right. Ok. Potentially, even harder.
David: I’d say braver.
Georgia: Yeah. Actually. Yeah.

Can we talk about…
…how Stede drew a little picture of Ed with a little heart in the corner?
Why aren’t we taking about this?!!??!
(I’m having trouble reading the writing on the map, but there’s something about “my heart”)

A smitten angel. Yeah, that nebula is great, sure, but...
I just love them. And that's why I have to draw them. That's it.

No words needed. No fabulous kiss needed. Just show your cute 'it's working' smile to Aziraphale and he's all yours.

Do we know if Aziraphale went to Edinburgh and came back the same day? Thinking about this because of what Crowley said that he was worrying all night that Gabriel will wake up and start smiting 😁. I am wondering if he was in the bookshop alone with Gabriel at night or he was in his car thinking about Aziraphale's safety all night.

"Smitten, I believe."
I've been thinking about this for months. The canon itself made a connection between smiting, a thing that angels to do demons to hurt them, and being smitten. In the context of the scene, being smitten is the past tense of having been smited. But the smile on Aziraphale's face as he says it implies the other definition applies to Crowley as well, "to be strongly attracted to someone."
So what if, in the end of all this, they pull one final con so they can end up together? Aziraphale says that he's been smiting the demon Crowley as long as they've known each other. The demon is smitten beyond all return. And Crowley says he's been tempting the angel for thousands of years. And maybe Heaven and Hell are like, oh, you've literally been torturing each other this whole time? Yeah that's okay with us.
And so Heaven is more than happy to leave Aziraphale in Crowley's clutches and Hell is overjoyed to know that Crowley will spend eternity getting smited by Aziraphale.
And so they get their wonderful peaceful little cottage in the South Downs, where Heaven and Hell no longer care or matter, just smiting and tempting each other blissfully forever.
