Crochet, fiber arts community, and artists come in real quick for a sec.
So I’m crocheting this bag and I’m getting a point where I can see myself selling my pieces, and I’m purposely making this bag to sell. I might keep it for a small bit to make content with it and show it off but I want it sold and I want to make more like it to sell. So I decided to look around to see what a bag like this might sell for online.
Im thinking about selling it at markets but this is a pretty pricey bag. To sell this I would also have to have cheaper items to sell and that requires more planning. Also, the big thing to note here is that while most crochet would be expensive because of the time you put into it, this bag has a pretty pricey upfront cost on top of the time. We’re talking $40-$60 in upfront, something you only see with like blankets or maybe a dress.
Anyway, I decide that the type of person who might want this kind of bag may be on Etsy, and I know there are people selling this kind of bag on that site and so I went over.
Tell me why most sellers are selling the exact same bag for $60 🥴. Also mind you, it takes about 6-8 hours to make depending on your energy and skill.
I included both upfront and just the minimum wage (in FL) for the amount of hours, then rounded up to get a minimum cost of at least $150 if I were to sell it. Close to $200 if I have to add different colors and accessories. You also have the concept of selling for twice the amount that you paid for to be able to get double the materials to make more and thats over $300. I’ve seen one person selling for $400 (marketing was on point for it but still…). And Etsy sellers are only selling it for $60 🥴🥴🥴 that’s not even enough for the labor!!
I know we want to make art accessible for everyone. And yes, an artist can sell their art at any price point. But damn, at least put cost and labor into it 😭 it really hurts my heart to see people undervaluing themselves selves. Like yes the recession is technically here for consumers but it’s also so for artists too. Artists will forever deserve to get paid, and we as a society gotta do better with paying them and showing that appreciation.

@fictionadventurer You may ask 😂 It was a unique experience that’s for sure!
This is how it went for us:
1) Be my husband. Decide bees are the easiest animal for us to invest in at this point in our homestead journey. Research tirelessly. Become a walking encyclopedia about bees and their keeping and hive types. (This is a typical pattern for him; logic, read, be fun at parties.)
2) Build your chosen beehive type (in this case, top bar.)
3) Visit with your local beekeeeping society to network and ask questions.
4) Finish hive and set out in chosen location.
5) Wait. Keep an eye on the sellers of bees and your budget in case wild bees do not appear.
6) Excitedly receive at work via phone call the news that a swarm is “bearded” out on the limb of a tree on our creek. Feel very So Dear to My Heart.
7) Rush home and grab your hand saw!
Tumblr media
8) Start carefully sawing the limb off the tree.
9) Get your wife to finish sawing so you can hold the branch steady so it doesn’t crash to the ground.
10) Carefully carry the branch to the open hive and lay it down.
11) Stand back and watch the bees check it out!
12) When the branch is completely bee free, set it aside and put the lid on the hive. Listen to the soothing hum of happy bees hard at work inside.
Congratulations! You caught a swarm!
Tumblr media
(This idiot orange boy thought the hive was a comfy chair and the bees were toys to bat at. Perhaps if he gets stung he’ll figure it out.)

ARIADNE by JENNIFER SAINT | REVIEW
this was recommended to me by Anon. my motivation for reading it was that Anon said they were considering dropping it while only a third of the way through, which i thought sounded promising.
OVERVIEW: Ariadne, Princess of Crete, grows up greeting the dawn from her beautiful dancing floor and listening to her nursemaid's stories of gods and heroes. But beneath her golden palace echo the ever-present hoofbeats of her brother, the Minotaur, a monster who demands blood sacrifice. When Theseus, the Prince of Athens, arrives to vanquish the beast, Ariadne sees in his green eyes not a threat but an escape. Defying the gods, betraying her family and country, and risking everything for love, Ariadne helps Theseus kill the Minotaur. But will Ariadne's decision ensure her happy ending? And what of Phaedra, the beloved younger sister she leaves behind?
RATING: 8.7/10 i KNOW many of you disliked the book, and i'm surprised at myself, but i really enjoyed the book??? i could read it again! if you enjoy sweeter depictions of gods and heroes, this book is not for you.
AVAILABLE AT: pdf link here (google drive link) or u can spend money on purchasing a copy from a legitimate seller :-)
my review sort of developed unwittingly into an analysis of the text, so im sorry about that hahaha, but yeah. spoilers undercut!
THINGS I LIKED:
the writing style!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saint's style of writing is nothing short of beautiful to me, i like the way she phrases things.. her writing is like smooth, dripping caramel.. it rolls off your tongue with a lovely fluidity that i really adore and it made me want to read more.
the imagery. this is related to Saint's writing style but i really liked the way she described settings and scenes... her metaphors and foreshadowing techniques were wonderful.
for example, there's this line about Asterion in Chapter 2 when we first learn of the Minotaur's true name, and since Asterion means "star", it makes the name sound very bright and hopeful. but Saint twists this around- she identifies Asterion's starry nature with the darkness that accompanies the stars.. she describes it as a "raging fire if you came too close" which is a great way of foreshadowing the future terror Asterion would come to be recognised as.
Ariadne's dancing. i know some of my mutuals weren't fans of Ariadne's constant dancing, and maybe dancing as a hobby for a girl feels like an outdated cliche, but let's be real, Ariadne isn't exactly in a society where she could be a STEM buff and the reader would believe it.. so even though yeah, it's a bit cringe, i don't hate it. i liked that Ariadne picks up her mother's hobby -- dancing is initially introduced as something Pasiphae loved to do, before she became docile and empty.
continuing on the dancing- i think that Ariadne inheriting Pasiphae's hobby was really important for setting Ariadne up as Pasiphae's successor. once Pasiphae becomes a crumbling shell of a woman following Asterion's birth, she essentially becomes a recluse and doesn't have any real further use to Minos-- but Minos' eldest child, Androgeos, is already dead and out of the picture, and the other brother (whose name is escaping me rn sorry haha) gets sent to live with his uncle, so now that Ariadne is the oldest, Minos' eyes are naturally on her to see how she can be used in his interest. and that's exactly where the story goes- Pasiphae takes a back seat, and Ariadne gets betrothed to Cinyras, etc. so, i do appreciate the dancing motif, i think it worked.
the darkness looming behind Theseus- another foreshadowing technique. even if you were unfamiliar with Theseus and Ariadne's myth, it was obvious that, handsome and lovely as Theseus appeared, something sinister was going to happen to Ariadne at Theseus' hands.. i like the change from the noble dolphin to the cunning shark imagery change in Chapter 6.. it makes you want to read on and see who exactly Theseus is.
the inclusion of Heracles. in my mind, Heracles is THE ultimate hero.. i picture him, as many do, to be the greatest of the greek heroes, so the image of him being a role model of sorts to Theseus works well, and also gives us more hints as to the kind of guy Theseus is. even in the myths, there are many parallels between Heracles and Theseus that other heroes can't really boast of-- quest-like adventures where they fight monster after monster, attempt challenges, abduct women, etc.
Medea and Theseus' relationship. i don't think i've ever seen any interaction between them in media before, and even though Medea is my babygirl and i love her to bits, i loved the way Theseus describes her- it makes her scary and evil, and from Theseus' perspective, this made perfect sense.
plot pacing was nice. not too fast, not too slow. i did think maybe Ariadne's deliberation about helping Theseus or not could have been expanded more (she did it rather quickly), but all in all, good pace.
Dionysus' debut in the book.. it was nice. he was still godly even though he was so human, which is exactly what Saint intended.
the handling of Pasiphae's love affair with the Cretan Bull. i don't think it's an easy thing to describe a woman being compelled with lust for a bull so much so that she would hide in a wooden mannequin of a cow that said bull could copulate with thereby, unwittingly, copulating with a woman without sounding absolutely bonkers. but i felt it was written really well.. the whole story of Pasiphae was so utterly sad and gloomy.. it was perfectly done. more than this, i love that Pasiphae actually doesn't abandon the Minotaur-- she mourns him, she feeds him.. it's so warped, but it made Pasiphae seem more than human, no human woman could go through all that and still nurture the child, but she does- after all, she is more than human- the blood of Helios runs in her veins.
the brutality. the tragedy. Ariadne is not a perfect heroine- sure, she's beautiful and kind, Theseus is enamoured with her, Dionysus himself marries her.. but she's not a mary-sue. she's naive, she's scared.. Phaedra is not naive, she makes up for Ariadne's flaws and yet still is so tortured.. she continues the cycle of tragedy that plagues her family, following her mother's perverse desires when she too attempts to embrace Hippolytus, her own step-son.
at first, i hated that Phaedra's infatuation with Hippolytus was not a curse of the gods but her own will-- but upon concluding the novel, i actually feel that this worked better... both sisters are so damaged, so tortured. of course they never get a happy ending. it sucks, but, i really liked how the narrative did not show bias to any character.
Dionysus' murdering the children of the Argive women.. i personally prefer stories where the gods are depicted as cruel and cold. i was worried at first when i read Dionysus' intro that he was too "perfect".. it bugged me that Theseus was made out to be so awful, but Dionysus, who in the myths does so many atrocious things himself, was excused.. but that's not how it ended up, and i really really liked that.
the absolute lack of happy endings. greek mythology is mostly tragedy, i like that the characters weren't sugar-coated. bad things happen to everyone; gods, heroes, mortals.
Hera's minor appearance at the side of Perseus. she's so 🥺
LOVED Perseus' depiction!!!!!!!!!!! he was perfect!
THINGS I LOVED AND HATED SIMULTANEOUSLY:
Theseus being reduced to an evil bastard. i think Theseus is easily one of the worst greek heroes ever, but i've always being attached to the idea that he only becomes the worst guy ever because he loses faith in the gods he adores because THEY abandon HIM first when they ask him to leave Ariadne behind for Dionysus. but of course, this doesn't happen in the novel, and Theseus actually leaves her off his own accord- i like the change, i know many people agree with this version, and i do like the idea he purposely misled Phaedra into meeting them at the wrong place.. and i also love the implication that Theseus INTENTIONALLY left the black sails up so that Aegeus would kill himself and Theseus would inherit the throne quicker.. i don't know if that's what Saint intended, but that was the implication to me, and i don't hate it. if Theseus is going to be a bastard in this book, he better be a wicked bastard.
THINGS I DISLIKED:
why would Hades feel delight at the idea of Hera, his sister with whom he shared the days of his youth inside their father's stomach with, being forced to share her golden halls with a mortal, a constant reminder of her failure to satisfy Zeus' carnal desires herself???????? this sort of just felt.. idk. it didn't make sense, there was no justification for it.
the vilification of Hera. Hera isn't even a minor character in the Theseus and Ariadne myth, but somehow, even in this story where she has no major role, she's being vilified??? how did Ariadne not see the parallels between her and Hera?? both women married/nearly married a man whom they trusted, but end up back-stabbing and leaving them for other women?!! why would Hera, of all the gods, be the one Saint chose to vilify?
relating to this-- when Ariadne falls pregnant, she pours libations for Eileithyia, and even Demeter, but not to Hera?? THE goddess of marriage, women, and family. it feels like Ariadne is inviting trouble on purpose!!!
there's a tendency in myth retellings for authors to try and cram in as many extra myth stories as possible.. and in this one, we had Medusa, Medea, Icarus, Ampelon, Scylla.. some were relevant, but tbh, i thought the whole thing with Daedalus and Icarus was rushed- i mean, out of nowhere Daedalus is out there with his wax wings. also, given the kind-hearted depiction of Daedalus that was introduced to us in the early chapters, i find it difficult to reconcile the image of that same Daedalus abandoning his son- just flying away as he watched Icarus plummet into the seas, not even trying to rescue him, not even considering dying with him. idk.. i thought the story was rushed.

Ten Fiction Novels
Girls of Riyadh - tells the story of four young-adult women in Saudi Arabia, looking for love but living in a world with little freedom and many demands. 3. It's Not What You Think: An American Woman in Saudi Arabia - a wry, incisive account of working in Saudi Arabia that offers insight into that insular patriarchal society, what is so attractive to expatriates living there, and what was contradictory or confining about it for a naturalized American who is a woman and a Muslim. Her book takes the reader on a journey of discovery that mirrors her own. (Amazon.com)

Though Ayesha is lonely, she doesn't want an arranged marriage. Then she meets Khalid, who is just as smart and handsome as he is conservative and judgmental. She is irritatingly attracted to someone who looks down on her choices and who dresses like he belongs in the seventh century. When a surprise engagement is announced between Khalid and Hafsa, Ayesha is torn between how she feels about the straightforward Khalid and the unsettling new gossip she hears about his family. Looking into the rumors, she finds she has to deal with not only what she discovers about Khalid, but also the truth she realizes about herself. (Amazon.com)

Michael grieves with the mother whose only son died in the Vietnam War and is embraced by the first black couple who move into the neighborhood. They all shape him, and through the conflict of hate, acts of kindness, and his sexual awakening, Michael struggles to figure out who this dutiful son of an immigrant family is. Michael’s life is buffeted by the killing of Martin Luther King, Jr, and the death, two months later, of Bobby Kennedy. His girlfriend opens his eyes to the ongoing struggle to test national ideals against the growing diversity of America. But when Michael experiences a sudden personal tragedy, he must learn to get past his fears, come to terms with his heritage, and set himself free. (Amazon.com)
6. The Broken Wings - a poetic novel written by Khalil Gibran. Gibran Khalil Gibran (1883 – 1931) was a Lebanese-American poet, writer, and artist best known as the author of “The Prophet” (1923)—one of the best-selling books of all time. Gibran's work covers such themes as justice, religion, science, free will, love, happiness, the soul, the body, and death; and he is widely considered to have been one of the most important figures in Arabic poetry and literature during the first half of the twentieth century. Set in Beirut at the turn of the century, the story is one the tragic love between a young betrothed woman and our protagonist, who are forced to see each other in secret until their meetings are uncovered and their love made impossible. “The Broken Wings” addresses a variety contemporary problems in the Eastern Mediterranean, including women's rights and religious corrupt on. Other notable works by this author include: “Music” (1905), “Rebellious Spirits” (1908). Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with the original text and artwork. (Amazon.com)
7. The Butterfly's Burden - The Butterfly's Burden combines the complete text of Darwish's two most recent full-length volumes, linked by the stunning memoir-witness poem “A State of Siege.” Love poems, sonnets, journal-like distillations, and interlaced lyrics balance old literary traditions with new forms, highlighting loving reflections alongside bitter longing. (Amazon.com)
8. Lailah's Lunchbox: A Ramadan Story - Lailah is in a new school in a new country, thousands of miles from her old home, and missing her old friends. When Ramadan begins, she is excited that she is finally old enough to participate in the fasting but worried that her classmates won’t understand why she doesn’t join them in the lunchroom. Lailah solves her problem with help from the school librarian and her teacher and in doing so learns that she can make new friends who respect her beliefs. This gentle, moving story from first-time author Reem Faruqi comes to life in Lea Lyon’s vibrant illustrations. Lyon uses decorative arabesque borders on intermittent spreads to contrast the ordered patterns of Islamic observances with the unbounded rhythms of American school days. (Amazon.com)
9. The Love and Lies of Rukhsana Ali  - Seventeen-year-old Rukhsana Ali has always been fascinated by the universe around her and the laws of physics that keep everything in order. But her life at home isn't so absolute. Unable to come out to her conservative Muslim parents, she keeps that part of her identity hidden. And that means keeping her girlfriend, Ariana, a secret from them too. Luckily, only a few more months stand between her carefully monitored life at home and a fresh start at Caltech in the fall. But when Rukhsana's mom catches her and Ariana together, her future begins to collapse around her.
10. The Sun is Also A Star-  I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. (Amazon.com)

1:  An Introduction to The Vampire Academy Universe and Its Characters.
The first instalment of what would be known as a game changer within the genre of vampire fiction, Vampire Academy was released on 16 August 2007 and received good reviews, even being placed on the New York Times best sellers top ten in the children's division and placed along the likes of Stephenie Meyer’s Eclipse, the Harry Potter series in ALA’s teen top ten.  It features a  later 5 books and another 6 book series, Bloodlines, as well as a movie adaptation in 2014  featuring faces like Zoey Deutch (Harper in ‘Set it Up’ or Danni Sanders in ‘Not Okay’), Sarah Hyland (Haley Dunphy in ‘Modern Family’) and Dominic Sherwood (Jace Wayland in ‘Shadowhunters’). More recently a TV adaptation was released in 2022 featuring Sisi Stringer, Kieron Moore and Daniella Nieves as our main three.
The first book in the series introduces us to the main cast of characters: Rosemarie ‘Rose’ Hathaway and Vasilissa ‘ Lissa’ Dragomir, a pair of best friends who have been on the run for two years after running away from their prestigious european-esque highschool, St Vladimir’s; Dimitri Belikov, a stoic Siberian guardian who is placed in charge of Lissa upon her return he is also Rose’s love interest; and Christian Ozera, a traumatised bad boy with parental trauma and fighting spirit who serves as Lissa’s love interest. In the later books we are introduced to new characters such as: Adrian Ivashkov, a rebellious spoilt prince with a slight substance abuse problem; Sydney Sage, a vampire hating alchemist with a strong moral compass; finally, we also get familiar with a pre known character. Mia Rinaldi, a spoiled little girl turned fighter.
The book primarily take place in St Vladimir’s Academy, a school for the two main vampire species in this universe: the Moroi supposedly represent all that is good, they are vampires with elemental powers and their own running society where they are in full control;
“There are also good vampires walking the world. They’re called Moroi.
They’re alive, and they possess the incredibly cool power to wield magic in
each of the four elements— earth, air, water, and fire. [...]  but the Moroi strongly believe magic should only be used peacefully. It’s one of the biggest rules in their society. Moroi are also usually tall and slim, and they can’t handle a lot of sunlight. But they do have superhuman senses that make up for it: sight, smell, and hearing.”
Frostbite, Prologue, page 1.
The Dhampirs are half-vampires with superish human strength and speed, they serve as guardians for the Moroi as they can only procreate with Moroi meaning they are crucial to the survival of the Dhampir race;
“Dhampir.
That’s what I am. Dhampirs are half-human, half-Moroi. I like to think
We got the best traits of both races. I’m strong and sturdy, like humans are. I
can also go out in the sun as much as I want. But, like the Moroi, I have
really good senses and fast reflexes. The result is that dhampirs make the
ultimate bodyguards—which is what most of us are. We’re called
Guardians.”
“Dhampirs can’t have children with other dhampirs. [...] Humans and Moroi
getting together will always make more dhampirs; that’s where we came
from the first place. [...] Through another weird genetic fluke,
however, Moroi and dhampirs mixing will create dhampir children. [...] You’d think you’d get a baby that’s three-quarters vampire, right? Nope. Half human, half Moroi.”
Frostbite, Prologue, page 2.
St Vladimir’s teaches both young Moroi on how to use their elemental abilities and trains novice  Dhampir in both physical and theory lessons spread across a day opposite to a regular (at night instead of day, 6pm = 6am).
The third and final vampire race are the Strigoi, a race of blood hungry, moral-less monsters who hunt mainly Moroi and can turn any other race into Strigoi. Turning Strigoi of your own free will is considered one of the greatest crimes in their society;
“There’s a race of vampires on this earth who are literally the walking
dead. They’re called Strigoi, and if you’re not already having nightmares
about them, you should be. They’re strong, they’re fast, and they kill
without mercy or hesitation. They’re immortal, too—which kind of makes
them a bitch to destroy. There are only three ways to do it: a silver stake
through the heart, decapitation, and setting them on fire. None of those is
easy to pull off, but it’s better than having no options at all.”
Frostbite, Prologue, page 1.
The Royal Court of Moroi order is the official government of the vampire races. The courts themselves are located in a secluded area of Pennsylvania. The Royal Court is where all laws are passed and where the King or Queen resides. Whilst the courts do run on a monarchical system, it is a rotating circle of 12 royal families who nominate somebody to be put through a series of trials in order to be made King or Queen ending in a final vote by the families. The family which just ruled cannot rule again and in order to be nominated you must have at least one other family member, this isn’t a problem for most families due to them generally being very large with a central ‘main’ family such as the Zeklos family but there are other much smaller ones like the Dragomirs where this becomes a problem. It is known that Court, although intended for many serious purposes, is also a great recreational location, housing many residential areas, shops, restaurants, and much more. It is more of a central city for Moroi who generally live on the outskirts of human society, a capital city if you will.
The next instalment will be about the 2014 movie: The Movie; Good as an Individual and an Adaptation?
Thank you so much for reading this,
~ Annie <3

“Stolen Valor” is such a funny idea. Like, we live in a society that explicitly gives special privileges to individuals who got a job, as long as they wear their special job costume.
But if you have a different job and decide to wear the special costume to get a 15% discount at Old Country Buffet like a professional child-killer, you can get slapped with a federal misdemeanor.
Like, playing dress-up can get you a year in prison if you trick some bootlicker into giving you an optional benefit that nobody is making them offer; because that’s the only incentive that the recruiter doesn’t have to lie about to convince the C-student high school graduate that pillaging developing countries for natural resources is a respectable career choice.
A whole industry of chiropractors, nutritionists, energy workers, and umpteen other snake oil sellers pretend to be doctors in the name of “alternative” medicine exploit billions of dollars from unassuming victims and nobody bats an eye.
But wear a camo jacket for free parking at Six Flags and suddenly you’re disrespecting the “sacrifice” of Pvt. Xenophobe, who left his hometown for the first time 6 weeks ago to attend boot camp and learn how to kill “terists” in “I-rack”

@hoidn replied to your text post
i'm not a seller, so i don't know if it's better or worse, but society6 is a similar type of site. i've bought quite a few wares by artists there.
Oh, thank you, I was trying to remember the name of that one, since I'd seen a few artists use it and at least haven't heard anything bad.
Poking the FAQs and doing some maths the actual profits look similar though :/
Society6: 10% standard markup, plus they just added an extra 'shipping fee', which varies but is 50cUS for a t-shirt.
Redbubble: 20% standard markup, plus they just added an "account fee" which varies but is up to 50% of the profit, bringing the effective markup back down to as little as 10%.
So let's do some algebra, which I will probably mess up! I am just looking at full price items in US dollars, for consistency.
A simple tshirt with a design in the middle is usually $21 on Society 6, so the base price is $19.09 and the 10% default artist profit is 0.1*19.09 - 0.50=$1.40. This goes up to $3.40 if you go for a 20% markup since the shipping fee stays the same, but idk if society6 customers would be willing to pay more than usual.
A simple tshirt with a design in the middle is usually $21.50 on Redbubble. So the base price is $17.92. The default artist profit is at worst 0.1*17.92 = $1.80. If you increase your markup they increase their fee. EDIT: Wait this was using AUSTRALIAN dollars! In US dollars a shirt can be as little as $16.96, which gives $1.69 profit but is also much cheaper for the buyer. A tshirt that did cost $21US (which they plausibly do sell, they have a lot of variants) would give a $1.75 profit.
An all-over graphic tee costs $45 at Society6 and still only has a 50c shipping fee, so the profit ends up being $7 eg 15%, which is better than the 10% you would get at redbubble (if they sold that kind of shirt for the same price, I know I've seen that kind of shirt there but can't find the price on a brief skim). And I haven't looked at the numbers for other types of item, the shipping fee may end up proportionally much smaller for relatively light but expensive objects.
The more you increase your markup the more profit you make at Society6 vs Redbubble, but the more your product is on sale (which you do not always control) the less profit you make at Society6 vs Redbubble. Also afaict the audience at Redbubble is larger so your total profits will probably be higher, though that's context dependent.
So the numbers are mixed, but definitely not unambiguously better. Still, good to know more options!
EDIT: I looked at light stuff like posters and the profits ended up working out overall similar to t-shirts. But the lowest Society6 shipping fee is 30c, for stickers, which cost as little as $5 each (even less on special!), for a profit of 5/1.1 -30 = -25c??? I assume they don't ACTUALLY charge you every time someone buys a sticker but WHO KNOWS.

Although the band had several hit songs in New Zealand, "Counting the Beat" was their only major chart success in Australia, and they are considered a one-hit wonder in that country. The song is well known for its catchy beat and memorable music video. As Fast Company reported last year, Swingers first launched in the United Kingdom in 2016 before coming to America in the summer of 2021. Before the pandemic, its locals had over 3,000 visitors a week, bringing in around $11 million in annual revenue per venue. The launch of Swingers NoMad in New York City will be the first venue of its kind there and the company hopes it will be a popular attraction as the experience economy gets back on its feet.

Open marriage is perceived as a primary cause of divorce in a substantial minority of the 1 to 6 percent of people who have open marriages. Boundaries help to set out rules for what is and is not acceptable to the members of the relationship. They also help people to feel safe and that they are just as important in the open relationship as their partners. These stereotypes are reinforced by mononormativity, which is simply the belief that monogamous relationships are the most natural and culturally acceptable relationship. A favourite podcast subgenre, arguably invented by Scott Aukerman and Harris Wittels’s Analyze Phish, is one host trying to convince another host that something is good.
Many couples within open relationships are dual-career, meaning that both primary partners have a stable job and/or a career. Both men and women in these, especially in closed groups, are also more likely to be in managerial jobs. Mormon, Chapter 7. "The Looter."
Tumblr media
Mormon invites the Lamanites of the latter days to believe in Christ, accept His gospel, and be saved—All who believe the Bible will also believe the Book of Mormon. About A.D. 385. "The Armor of God."
The Prophets that worked on the Book of Mormon, there were 9 total were originally members of a faith called Seekers. Seekers do not believe a wicked society can realize the Holy Ghost through the Sacraments of the Christ. They, like Jews, are waiting for society to repent, forsake all wickednesses and follow the Torah and the Teachings of Christ.
The Book of Mormon is clearly a contemporary work of intense Jewish Hebrew scholarship, and as we have seen emphasizes the Gospels are an essential aspect of the Roof over our heads. Hebrew was undergoing a big revival around the time the Book of Mormon was being composed, around 1824.
It is very likely discoveries similar to mine were made about the use of Gematria, Hebrew Algebra, by the Christians who wrote the Gospels, Jesus was brilliant and elegant at it Himself, of course, but this method was lost to history after the pogroms and especially after World War 2. Without modern technology translation from the letters to the Numbers is difficult, and at the time, there weren't desktops in every household either. Convincing the war and whoremongers that existed in the America of the 19th Century to embrace a new old way of coming in contact with the Spirit of God through the House of Israel must have been a daunting task.
Nonetheless the Book of Mormon was a best seller, and we know what happened after it was published, a civil war was fought and slavery came to an end. Then came the Kooky Spooks the Mormons of today, who are not interested in the Spirit, the Christ, freedom, faith, or the foundation of civil society, only sex, fucking, screwing, ass fucking, fucking in front, fucking in back, in the school house, behind the bleachers...that is all they think about. They are all perverts without competition.
It is not hot to grab a straight boy off the street, give him drugs, tie him up, shave his body, hook him up to a feeding tube and all kinds of strange machinery, let little kids have at it like it's a day at Dave and Busters and then show up in church the next day like it was nothing at all. During a visit to an LDS Temple Marjorie Taylor Green, for example, was going to allow her son to hump my leg, except he didn't even have his hairs yet. He followed me around inside and I got nervous and thankfully left. Ribbit!
Tumblr media
Mormons do this with impunity because the US Gov has not quite yet formulated an action plan to stop them. They sense this is coming, and this is why they have become so very violent, organizing into para military groups, perpetrating January 6, October 7, invading Israel and other countries, and attempting to promote Donald Trump and his party for president again, because he is just like them.
None of this is in the Bible or the Book of Mormon but enough of them believe what they believe and they have done everything in their collective power to do their favorite thing and have completely fucked the world up.
The Prophet that wrote the passages below had different ideas about what America should become: A House of Israel, a place that has overcome the sins of the past and cherry blossomed into a kind of utopic place where people of all sorts are safe and free. I have not really ever felt like America was such a place, mainly because of the Republicans, but that is the vision.
Read below and you will see the Prophet thinks, correctly, this is all going to be the product of proselytizing by the Jews to the rest of the world - including about the Passion of the Christ- and this will complete humanity's epoch long spiritual journey. Know these, the marvelous works of our forefathers:
1 And now, behold, I would speak somewhat unto the remnant of this people who are spared, if it so be that God may give unto them my words, that they may know of the things of their fathers; yea, I speak unto you, ye remnant of the house of Israel; and these are the words which I speak:
2 Know ye that ye are of the house of Israel.
3 Know ye that ye must come unto repentance, or ye cannot be saved.
4 Know ye that ye must lay down your weapons of war, and delight no more in the shedding of blood, and take them not again, save it be that God shall command you.
5 Know ye that ye must come to the knowledge of your fathers, and repent of all your sins and iniquities, and believe in Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God, and that he was slain by the Jews, and by the power of the Father he hath risen again, whereby he hath gained the victory over the grave; and also in him is the sting of death swallowed up.
6 And he bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead, whereby man must be raised to stand before his judgment-seat.
7 And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.
8 Therefore repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus, and lay hold upon the gospel of Christ, which shall be set before you, not only in this record but also in the record which shall come unto the Gentiles from the Jews, which record shall come from the Gentiles unto you.
9 For behold, this is written for the intent that ye may believe that; and if ye believe that ye will believe this also; and if ye believe this ye will know concerning your fathers, and also the marvelous works which were wrought by the power of God among them.
10 And ye will also know that ye are a remnant of the seed of Jacob; therefore ye are numbered among the people of the first covenant; and if it so be that ye believe in Christ, and are baptized, first with water, then with fire and with the Holy Ghost, following the example of our Savior, according to that which he hath commanded us, it shall be well with you in the day of judgment. Amen.
Let's look at the gematria for the final verse:
10a:  And ye will also know that ye are a remnant of the seed of Jacob; therefore ye are numbered among the people of the first covenant. The Value in Gematria is 7572, זהז‎‎ב, "It's golden."
10b: And if it so be that ye believe in Christ, and are baptized, first with water. The Value in Gematria is 5215, הבאה‎ ‎, "the next offering,"
10c: Then with fire and with the Holy Ghost, following the example of our Savior, according to that which he hath commanded us, it shall be well with you in the day of judgment. The Value in Gematria is 12677, יבוזז‎ ‎"Your scorn...will be looted."
This concept of the Spirit of God as a looter is similar to the way hindus call God "hari" and "hara", "thief of misery, whose winds of thought, worn like a garland keep the demons away."
By wishing upon the Spirit of God all that troubles mankind in thought, word, deed, and within the government can be lifted up, tossed into the wind, never to be seen again.

USD to CAD and Why it Matters to You
USD to CAD.  What is it?  You hear the term everywhere in Canada.  You hear it mentioned on TV, on the radio.  You see it online and in the newspapers.  There are even Facebook groups dedicated to it.  Why do people care so much about it?  People write reports about it and debate it passionately and care a lot about where it is and where it is going in the future.  It seems to change all the time.  What in the world is it and why should you care?
The term USD to CAD is generally denotes the “US dollar to Canadian dollar exchange rate”.  It is the price of 1 US dollar in Canadian dollars.  For example, a USD to CAD rate of 1.27 means that each US dollar is worth 1.27 Canadian dollars.  It also means that 1 Canadian dollar is worth 0.79 in US dollars.  This last number is sometimes known as the inverse rate because it is equal to the inverse of USD to CAD (ie: 1/1.27 = 0.79).
The USD to CAD exchange rate (like all other exchange rates) changes from second to second as buyers sellers and speculators transact with one another.  The Bank of Canada provides a daily exchange rate lookup as well as historical USD to CAD rates but does not provide “live” rates that reflect minute to minute changes during the day.  You can see the live USD to CAD rates quotes on sites like Interchange Financial.  While the rate changes all the time, on a daily basis the changes tend to be within a penny.  While larger changes can and do happen, it would be rare to see a day with a larger than one penny change more than once a week.
While the daily changes in USD to CAD are often small, they can add up in many ways to make an impact to people doing USD to CAD exchanges.  For example, even a one penny change means that if you are exchanging 10,000, you will receive a hundred dollars more (or less).  Also, the changes can accumulate over several days or months to add up to larger amounts.  For example, during one three month period recently the Canadian dollar moved by 20 pennies.  That same 10,000 exchange would now get 2000 more (or less depending on what you are exchanging).
So, that’s it.  That’s what all the hoopla is about when it comes to USD to CAD.  It is a simple concept but it is also very important to Canadian society and economy.  Why is it important?  It is important because Canada has a very open economy and interaction with people and businesses outside of Canada is very normal.  USD to CAD can impact everything from the smallest transaction involving someone ordering shampoo on Amazon to someone buying property in Arizona to an immigrant moving money from the USA to Canada to a Canadian company paying bills in California to a Michigan company buying steel in Canada to an investor selling his stocks in US companies.
Let us consider just one of those examples.  Take a sophisticated Canadian investor who holds stock in Apple.  The investor has done well and the stock is up 20% over his holding period.  He is ready to sell it and cash out his investment to purchase a new house in Canada.  After he sells his Apple stock, he will hold a bunch of US dollars in his brokerage account.  He needs to convert that amount to Canadian dollars.  What if the USD to CAD rate moved down 30% during his holding period?  Now, in Canadian dollars, his return is actually negative 10%.  In Canadian dollar terms, he has lost money.  That house he thought he could buy with his investment?  It is no longer available to him.
At this point, you might be thinking that USD to CAD matters only to large transactions.  Not true.  Let’s say you are buying a new bike online.  The seller is located in the US.  When you first see the bike you want the USD to CAD rate is 1.27.  When you go back in a month, the USD to CAD rate has moved to 1.34.  Well, that bike just got 6% more expensive for you.
What if you never buy anything from outside of Canada?  USD to CAD still impacts you.  Why?  Because just about everything you buy in Canada has some sort of input that is priced in US dollars.  Oranges at the supermarket?  They are from California.  Car made in Windsor?  Most of the parts are from the US.  T-shirt made in China at Walmart?  The importer paid in US dollars to buy it.  Wine made in BC?  The gasoline used to transport it is priced in US dollars.  In general, when USD to CAD goes up, everything gets more expensive.
Given its importance to nearly everything in Canada, it is perhaps not surprising that The Bank of Canada and the Government of Canada watch the USD to CAD rate very closely.  They like to say that the rate is set by markets, which is true, but it really impacts everything so they follow it closely and even sometimes try to influence it.  If USD to CAD gets too low then Canadian companies have trouble competing in international markets because their exports become too expensive.  On the other hand, if it gets too high then things get very expensive for Canadians living at home. So, USD to CAD is a simple term and a simple concept but it is hugely important to everyone in Canada.  It is no wonder then that you hear it everywhere and so many people get worked up about it.  It really matters to everything that we do in Canada.

Traffic Accident Q&A
written by Chakriya PHOU
Teacher : Who causes traffic accidents?
Student : All drivers.
Teacher : Why?
Student : Because they want to help others: 1. They want police to have work to do, they don't want police to get a salary for free. 2. When they get injured, they are sent to hospital and the doctors and nurse, also pharmacy/pharmacist will get income. 3. If their car or motor is broken, they need to bring their vehicle to a repair shop then they will get income. 4. If a car or motor is badly broken, they need to buy a new one and this helps the car or motor sellers to sell their product. 5. If they hit the street block, tree, pavement etc, the construction shop owner will have a chance to sell their product; the construction workers will have work to do; the plant shop will sell their product. All of them will earn money. 6. If they lost their lives in an accident, the family would make a funeral at the pagoda and the monk, the priest, would be offered some money. Also, related stakeholders such as coffin shops, flower and funeral organizing shops etc. would earn profit.
Teacher : Please make a conclusion.
Student : In conclusion, the drivers that cause accidents are kind. Their actions are significant and have great benefit for many people and society. Also, they participate in reducing poverty.
Note : This story is written to be a type of funny creation.

How to Choose and Where to Find Authentic Viking Bracelets for Sale: A Guide to Norse Wrist Adornments
Tumblr media
Viking bracelets, with their intricate designs and historical significance, have become a popular choice for those seeking unique and meaningful accessories. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a lover of Norse mythology, or simply someone with an eye for distinctive jewelry, understanding the craftsmanship and symbolism behind Viking bracelets can enhance your appreciation for these timeless adornments. In this guide, we'll explore the origins of Viking bracelets, delve into their cultural significance, and provide valuable insights on where to find authentic Viking bracelets for sale.
1. The Story Behind Viking Bracelets: A Glimpse into Norse Culture
Before diving into the world of Viking bracelets for sale, it's crucial to grasp the cultural context that gave birth to these remarkable accessories. Viking bracelets were more than just ornamental; they held deep cultural significance in Norse society. Crafted with precision and adorned with symbols representing Norse mythology, these bracelets often served as status symbols, protective talismans, or even as a form of currency. Understanding the rich history and meaning behind these bracelets adds a layer of authenticity to your choice.
2. Decoding the Symbols: Choosing a Meaningful Norse Bracelet
One of the captivating aspects of Viking bracelets is the array of symbols engraved on them. Each symbol carries its own unique meaning, reflecting aspects of Norse mythology and beliefs. For example, the Vegvisir, a runic compass, symbolizes guidance and protection, while the Helm of Awe (Aegishjalmur) represents strength and invincibility. When searching for a Viking bracelet for sale, consider the symbols that resonate with you personally. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also imbues your bracelet with a deeper, more personal significance.
3. Materials Matter: Exploring Authentic Viking Bracelet Craftsmanship
Authenticity is key when choosing a Viking bracelet. While there are many mass-produced options on the market, true enthusiasts seek craftsmanship that reflects the dedication and skill of ancient Norse artisans. Genuine Viking bracelets are often crafted from materials such as sterling silver, bronze, or even iron. These materials not only contribute to the aesthetic appeal but also ensure the durability and longevity of the bracelet. When considering a purchase, inquire about the materials used and the craftsmanship involved to ensure you're investing in a piece that echoes the traditions of the past.
4. Where to Find Authentic Viking Bracelets for Sale: Navigating the Market
As the popularity of Viking bracelets has surged, the market has responded with a plethora of options. However, not all sellers provide authentic, high-quality pieces. To ensure you're getting the real deal, consider reputable sources such as specialized jewelry stores that focus on historical and cultural pieces. Online platforms like Etsy, known for its diverse artisan community, often host skilled craftsmen who create authentic Viking bracelets. Additionally, attending renaissance fairs or historical events may lead you to talented artisans who handcraft these unique accessories.
5. Understanding the Price: Balancing Authenticity and Affordability
The price of authentic Viking bracelets can vary widely, influenced by factors such as materials, craftsmanship, and the reputation of the seller. While it's tempting to opt for the most affordable option, it's crucial to strike a balance between authenticity and affordability. Be wary of prices that seem too good to be true, as they may indicate lower-quality materials or mass-produced items. Investing in a slightly higher-priced, handcrafted piece ensures not only a more genuine connection to Norse culture but also a lasting accessory that transcends trends.
6. Caring for Your Viking Bracelet: Maintaining its Timeless Beauty
Once you've found the perfect Viking bracelet for sale, proper care is essential to preserve its beauty and authenticity. Depending on the materials used, caring for your bracelet may involve simple measures such as avoiding exposure to harsh chemicals, removing it before engaging in activities that may cause damage, and storing it in a dry, cool place when not in use. Regular cleaning, especially for silver or bronze pieces, can also help maintain the bracelet's luster and prevent tarnishing.
Conclusion: Embracing the Spirit of the Vikings through Wrist Adornments
In conclusion, choosing and acquiring an authentic Viking bracelet involves more than a simple transaction; it's a journey into the rich tapestry of Norse culture and mythology. By understanding the history, symbolism, and craftsmanship behind these bracelets, you not only enhance your aesthetic sense but also connect with an ancient heritage. When seeking Viking bracelets for sale, prioritize authenticity, craftsmanship, and a personal connection to the symbols engraved on the piece. With these considerations in mind, you can embark on a journey to find a Viking bracelet that not only complements your style but also tells a story of strength, protection, and timeless allure.
