I think this is often for a few reasons
- it leaves a lot less room for characterization errors (if thats something readers care about, which sometimes they don’t mind)
- most shows and visual media is naturally done in third person so to read fan works for that media in first is unusual
- most fan works are done in third person and so it’s sort of seen as a default where as books have a full mix
For clarification
1st person: I sat in the chair and looked over to the window. “What’s Jon doing here?” I asked.
2nd person: You sat in the chair and look over to the window. “What’s Jon doing here?” You asked.
3rd person: She sat in the chair and looked over to the window. “What’s Jon doing here?” She asked.
Which works together with Past, Present, and Future tenses too. They aren’t the same things, but they do go together.
Past (3rd): Jon pulled out a chair and sat down.
Present (3rd): Jon pulls out a chair and sits down.
Future (3rd): Jon will pull out a chair and sit down.

Tbh I kind of hate those "NOT the same person. ARE the same person" Kingdom Hearts memes, not cause there's no humor to them but because most of the explanations for these things aren't actually that difficult, it's just possession or clones or spiritual connections most of the time, which are pretty common in fantasy stories (some of them like the Nobodies are kind of a can of worms but also not hard to understand in context and ANY fantasy story with multiple installments is going to have stuff like that), and yet people who aren't familiar with the series use these images all the time to support the running idea that Kingdom Hearts is like. Impossible to follow and makes no sense. Which I, of course, don't like because at its core it's just people calling a thing I like stupid. And I WILL take it too seriously because I have the kind of autism that makes you deranged about Kingdom Hearts

honestly i feel like a lot of new dunmeshi fans lean way too hard into "I thought this was just a cooking DND show XD" with whatever memes they've seen, and then further project it onto the characters. i even saw some get upset there's gore/horror, and with the fandom making the last ep into a laios vs shuro thing, i feel like the fandom is on a steady track to actually becoming like those unbearable fandoms that just woobify everything/ignore whats actually happening in the story

i've decided that i literally don't care about anyone else's opinion contrary to my own because i think Nora Sakavic did a pretty good job (actually a really good job) writing aftg and i will never not love that series no matter what hate people shit on it

Oh yeah I remembered I can post whatever I want on here!
This is something I made last year for art class, it’s uh colored charcoal on cardboard, very smudgy medium with a limited color pallet
It’s of my study’s collection corner and desk, a right mess as it remains. Still fun though

i have so much work to do for finals season which is frustrating bc on the one hand i'm very glad all my classes have project-based finals where i get to be creative instead of just doing an exam or a paper. however. i have a bad habit with every project-based final ever of accidentally getting an idea that's way too ambitious and creating more work for myself than i need to do
however this semester even tho i fell into that exact same trap my two most elaborate final projects each involve 1. editing a video essay which contains an interview i did with paul bellini and at least 45 seconds of it are bellini talking about why he thinks i have great potential as a comedian, and 2. editing a ten minute reel of the documentary footage i got on tour with scott. which of course involves rewatching various videos of me and scott being extremely chaotic together. so i stay winning ig
