So I’ve finally got some of my thoughts on the new season in order and letting my self sit on it for a while

Dragons rising season 2 spoilers!!!!!

So first off holy shit this season has managed to completely wipe out any fears I had for season two. I’m a generally anxious person and am pretty naturally pessimistic about most things and was pretty anxious about season 2 because from the stuff shown in trailers and promotional vids it looked like a “Lloyd chosen one” plot line and I have a history of hating that kinda thing because it’s been beaten to death in ninjago at this point. While a bit of that was there I found it was done quite tastefully and didn’t overwhelm everything else story wise.

I felt that the pacing of the first 6-7ish episodes was a bit all over the place. Having the training arc and the Cole-Zane plot lines happen in the same episode with the pov switching back in forth felt a little bit off to me.

Sora and arins character arcs are shaping up to be pretty good. Soras more confident in her self than season one and she’s trying to help Arin but I feel like the whole using her elemental power to help Arin will backfire into her face. Arin’s insecurity and the whole how can I be useful if I don’t have an element I fell is being handled way better than the dumb kai arc in season 11(dw I will get to that when I get to kai) and it’s about on par with the Lloyd powerless plot from hunted. I am really excited to see what they do next and if Arin will be really mad at sora or not cuz like he’s super nice and stuff and I fell like he would be sad instead of mad.

Nya didn’t really have a lot going on personally except the stuff with Jay which I’m iffy on because so much of Nyas character in older seasons revolved around Jay and I just hope they don’t go back to that and let her character breath a bit.

In the topic of Jay I really really REALLY hope he isn’t evil. That the idea because it’s really out of character and they are already pushing my buttons with the lost memory crap because that’s something that I’ve rarely seen done well at all and it makes me very nervous and I just don’t like it. I do like that Jay just seems to be a guy who hates his job tho that’s fun.

I think the writers are just having fun with Zane and I think that’s cool. I do wanna punch the administration guy who said Zane isn’t a person because he is and he’s a bean and I will not allow this nobody to slander him.

It was nice to see more of Cole this season. I swear him and geo are so cute. The hand holding and the fact that they basically adopted two kids together is amazing and I am fully on board for this ship.

The villans were really interesting. I hope they keep up the quality with them because the mystery of ras’ master and wtf happened with jordana is really exciting. Cinder was intresting and as someone who has no interest in men what so ever I am kinda baffled at why so many people want this man but hey you do you. I do wonder what happened to ash tho. The member of the forbidden five looks interesting too and part of me is hoping that the leaked “evil jay” minifig is actually this guy just powered up cuz the color palette is similar enough and I just don’t want an evil jay.

Wyldfyre is amazing her whole leg being broken then sneaking on the ship to the exasperation of kai (like he would totally have pulled something like this a few seasons ago the hypocrite <3) and the others was so good. I am curious about her talk with egalt she mentioned one of her family members getting the wasting sickness but it can’t be heat wave cuz he seems fine so maybe she had more than one dragon guardian??? I do hope that Kai’s portal abduction does affected going into part 2 and that she bonds with nya and the others over it.

Egalt and rontu were very interesting to me and I’m glad they didn’t go the route of them being the actual creators of spinjitzu and kept the lore consistent I was slightly worried about that. Hope they come back in part 2 too.

Bonzle was a big surprise for me. I likes her personality in season 1 but I didn’t expect her to be so important. She’s really sweet and the scene with wu was great too.

And finally last but definitely not least, the best character in this entire show and my favorite comfort character to beat the shit out of

IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD. I LITERALLY HAVE NOT BEEN THIS HAPPY WITH AN EPISODE SINCE SEASON 4 EPISODE 7 THE FORGOTTEN ELEMENT (iykyk) I was literately kicking my feet like a little girl and crying and screaming my head off to the point I woke up other family members. Him unlocking the rising dragon technique by having his sister help and being in harmony with his family is so fucking sweet and I cried like a little bitch it was so good. I am also so happy that they used his old hair and didn’t just slap a smaller version of his current hair onto him (tho I kinda wish they had used the fucked up custom hair that was in the older episodes but I doubt that model is even in their hands so whatever(side side note I love the fucked up hair so much it’s so stupid I love it and will forever miss it)) him being such a dad to wyld fire was so sweet and then using the rising dragon technique after he saw his family in danger was just perfect. I do kinda wish there was more of a dramatic reaction to him getting yeeted by ras into the portal (kinda like any of the other ninja “deaths/major injuries”) but im fine with what we got. Except I kinda hate that only nya has an outward reaction in the aftermath. No lloyd reaction no Cole reaction and nothing from Zane and it makes me mad because every other time a ninja had their moment there was a whole team reaction. But I’m feeling like that’s to nitpicky and there’s still ten more episodes to fix that so fingers crossed. But kai also encouraging bonzle to close the portal even if he’s trapped inside is such a kai thing and hit me like a truck. Also him calling bonzle kid dispite her being much much older than him is funny and sweet cuz Kai’s big brother/father figure side is coming through and it’s so sweet. And the ninja never quit line is so great I was sobbing even more after that. (Tho I don’t know why he said he got it from Lloyd when it would have made more sense to have it be from master wu cuz that’s where he learned it but eh whatever).

While im really happy about kai finally getting some well deserved angst im also very anxious about it too. This could be the perfect opportunity for the writers to just conveniently forget about him for a while and idk if i could sit through that. Kai is a huge part of why I watch ninjago and he’s always been handed the shortest stick character development wise and technically he never got his own focus season either (and no i dont count the pilots because that focused mainly on all the ninja and was only two episodes, i also don’t count season four because it was more a group season, and season 11 doesn’t count because he got a half baked b plot that sucked) I’m very worried that I will loose enjoyment in the show because I dropped the show out of disappointment after season 11 because A LOT of premonitional material made it seem like a kai season and I got my hopes up and was let down so much. I’m very cautious when getting excited about things involving kai in particular because of that and I’m just hoping the writers don’t fuck it up.

Ok that’s enough negativity for once. I’m so excited for more and am foaming at the mouth for more!

NINJAGO MOVIE AU

OKAY SO NINJAGO MOVID AU W ARIN, SORA AND WLYDFYRE SO HERE WE GO! But first big thanks to my friend @imotakkun who helped me come up with some stuff for this au 🤩‼️

First off, the ninja, when we saw them in the movie they were all highschoolers. But if we'll still applying some rules from the show we can assume they're all adults by now.

Now, at first, I was gonna have them be in college, but we have to take in how the movie ended. However, I did more thinking, and ninja's identities have been revealed, so it's safe to assume college and any part of their daily aspects have been affected.

So what happens? Well, first, I'm trying to figure out something equivalent to the merge, but I'm not sure if it's gonna an actual event this au as I don't want it being exactly like the merge.

But for the ninja, I came up with an idea. However, it's quite angsty. Well, Garamadon is now good, so the ninja have no one to defend ninjago from? What if this caused them all to slowly distance themselves, but before the final blow, what if Wu went missing? Wu going missing is what can be the final straw, and the ninja go there separate ways.

Yeah, that'd be pretty painful, I think.

Now I'm thinking that right after Wu disappears, something happens that like the merge can happen and cause all these people to go missing, and can open a new book of possibilities? But I'm still thinking, so if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share!

Anyways so after this event, that's the end of the original ninja, and years go by and no one has seen them. Like in series I'll add a timeskip, but this one will be confirmed (lol) I'll say 5 years.

Now something like the merge has happened, all these new developments in Ninjago City, all these new people, and the world has adjusted. So when this big event happened Arin and Sora could be like 10 then after the timeskip they'd be 15.

OKAY, now to Ninjago High School!!! Let's start with Arin and Sora. In the series they seemed to get along with people well in the crossroads, so I would like to apply this to this au.

Let's start with Arin, first off, he's a huge ninja fan, who doesn't like the ninja!? I would like to imagine that the school has a ninja fan club which he'd absolutely be the president of.

Also, he's extremely friendly, so I think he'd be pretty popular having a great personality, being a ninja fan, and making some pretty delicious pies.

To add on, he'd also definitely be into an elective where he can bake, he'd also most likely be a huge history nerd. (Since in the show tells Lloyd about all the types of pie crust, also ninja fan sooo)

Now, to the angsty part of Arin, in the big event, like in the show, he lost his parents. And well, I'd kinda wanna make this au a tad more realistic, so, following the disappearance of his parents, the world's all in chaos. However, after a while since school is mandatory here, perhaps one of his teachers caught onto this and he was put in foster care.

Unfortunately, his current foster parents aren't all too nice :( So he spends most of his time in school anyway. Not that he minds, it just gives him the chance to better his school record for college.

Luckily for him he has a great best friend!

Sora!!!

Let's dive into her story. So to start off, she's definitely a stem girl, loves stem, is a huggeeeee stem nerd. I'd imagine she's as popular as Arin. They're just seen as that duo in the halls. I mean, why wouldn't she be popular? She's super skillful, independent, and smart! (Perhaps trans? 👀)

She's also really easy to get along with. She reminds me of those nice popular girls you see around school who are crazy talented and in all these extracurricular activities.

Speaking of Sora most definitely loves all things cats, and is a huge music nerd you cannot convince me otherwise. Though I can also see her being a huge gamer so she'd definitely be I'm her school's esports club.

Now, as to her backstory...like in the show, she's a runaway, and she often compares how much better her new school is compared to her old one. Especially since her hometown sucked.

Now, no one really knows where she came from. She was just there for freshman orientation. Since she'd good at tech stuff (and she's a good student), she'd be able to escape getting put in the foster system. Whenever someone checks her records, she can just hack them.

Now, for where she lives, this would be kinda tricky, but I'd like to imagine her working at a library, and her boss (Mr frohicky) let's her stay in the library over night.

And it's not all bad! Sora even discovered a secret room hidden in the library, which she turns onto her own room. (think of Amitys secret room in the library from the owl house) She just really loves it, and it's definitely her safe space.

Sora often has sleepovers with Arin in the library. The two get a bunch of books and blankets and make a tiny fort.

And since the library has computers and free wifi it's the ultimate spot for sleepovers.

Arin would often geek out about the Ninja and ninjago history, showing Sora books, videos, photos, and stories of the ninja.

And in return, Sora would show Arin a bunch of video games, music, and her current experiments.

The two talked about everything! Heck Sora even offered to hack Arin out of the foster system, he denied, though, as it was too risky, plus he didn't want her getting caught and also being put in the foster system.

But it was fine, as they spent most of their time in school, the two did almost everything together. They were the it duo of the school. They were friendly, skilled, and straight A student, so it was a no-brainer when they were called into the office to show the new student around!

Wlydfyre, well, she's wild, I mean, what can you expect from a kid who grew up in the wild? She would often go to the nearest junkyard and do what she could with what she found. Sometimes, she'd get caught, but she's too slippery to actually get caught. She'd often use her powers, too, which appeared out of nowhere, but she didn't question it. How did this girl never get restraint? Who knows?

Until she found someone like her, a guy with fire powers?? Kai had found the girl and, after a bit of talking, decided, 'I'm adopting this child', and without all the paperwork! It was a win-win situation, adopt kid, no paperwork, yayy!!

So Kai being Kai... sent her to a highschool...yeah kinda questionable on his part, but eh governments have done worse.

But that's a story for another time. What Arin didn't expect was seeing his best friend gain these magical tech powers?

It even shocked her. You see, they were in a tight situation, causing them having to defend themselves, so Arin did his fanboy spinjitzu, and Sora discovered her magical tech powers. Through this baby dragon??(where had he come from?)

After the two got away, and the baby dragon just?? Disappeared, they were wondering if they were both collectively hallucinating. But that thought would be broken when the police appeared and ARRESTED THEM?

Welp can't do much when you're in jail. Both were in a sort of panic as Arin didn't want to deal with his foster parents, and Sora had no parents, so she'd definitely get caught.

Luckily for them, they were released by their older cousin.

EXCEPT THEY HAD NO OLDER COUSIN? It seemed to be this blonde guy? They couldn't really see his face as he wore a hood, but something about him was familiar to Arin.

After they left the station, both Arin and Sora were pretty cautious because...well, stranger danger? But he did bail them out.

That was until the guy took off his hood which made the two do a double take.

It was THE green ninja, Lloyd Garamdon?

Lloyd had gone years without seeing any of the ninjas, that was until he and Kai had recently found each other again. And when he found out Kai had found a kid from the wild? And he took it under his wing. He definitely didn't think he'd see the day where Kai was taking on a mentorship kinda role, yet here they are.

But anyways Lloyd was lonely, and to put it lightly really, really sad. He had been alone for about five years. He'd often visit his parents, but they were currently off on a vacation, so it was just him. Man he really missed his friends.

He decided to be the sneaky ninja he was and go out at night and see what's up.

Well, what he didn't expect to see two figures, one doing spinjitzu and the other had..Elemental powers? Before he could go up to the two, the police got to them first.

Good thing he was a master of disguise.

Once he got them out of jail, he did NOT expect to see just two lil teenagers. It reminded him of when he was in highschool and well.

I'm assuming you've all watched the ninjago movie.

So when asked who was doing spinjitzu and using Elemental powers during the street fight. The two younger duo were well surprised.

Especially Arin, poor boy, was about to faint. As the two explained that it was, in fact, them, Lloyd was getting confused now.

They both achieved these skills, WITHOUT training?

He silently cursed Wu in his head. Well, he thought he could take them under his wing just like his uncle had done! How hard could it be? Right? Right?

Everyone screamed when the baby dragon from earlier appeared out of NOWHERE.

Yeah, Lloyd had his work cut out for him.

OKAY SO THATS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR, sorry if the writings not that good...I've never made a full au before EVER, I'll try and make some art for it when I have the chance. I kinda wanted to add some type of realistic affect to this au this yk talking about foster system and just generally child services (as i and ppl close to me have experinced it sooo) ALSO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT. Axel's eyebrows reached for his hairline and fingers pressed over his heart as he acted offense with a sputter. "First off, I was born dumb and I have made a concentrated effort not to change a thing since. I am carefully cultivated, top shelf stupid and impulsive. You can't just be 'struck' with this quality."

Roxas rolled his eyes at the line obviously borrowed from Demyx, but allowed his boyfriend to continue to his next point.

"Secondly, dinner was quite forgotten by both of us, and you can check the trash if you don't believe my pure intentions." With a pointed look and direction of his words, the redhead enlisted Pence and Olette, the jury of their peers that he'd already been trying to convince of his mastery of romantic gestures, to now also work as part of the defense. 

"Both cartons in the can look half full," Olette confirmed. 

"See?" Axel challenged Roxas, but recieved merely another wave to continue in return. "Blinded by love, choking on affection, vision of an angel holding my mind captive..."

"They get it." Roxas squirmed under Axel's dramatic rambling paired with Pence's skpetical look. He smoothed his hair down (a fruitless endeavor at the best of times) and sniffed his shirt self-consciously.

"....Fully aware that if I could see piles of snotty tissues on my living room floor and have my only thought be that I can't wait another minute to kiss the man that put them there, that I was, as the kids say, ass over teakettle gone..."

"Do kids say that?"

"Stop interrupting, Roxas!" It was Olette that complained.

"I dropped to my knees, skidded across the floor, and begged for his hand...and all the rest of him to be mine forever," Axel declared.

Olette cooed even though she'd already known at least that much of where the story was headed. Pence, similarly, smirked his way through asking, "And what did you say?" even though it could be assumed that Roxas hadn't called him over and Axel hadn't started storytelling just so they could recount a rejection.

"He didn't actually ask," Roxas corrected. "He told me 'we're going to be husbands' with these big excited puppy eyes."

"And you said 'hell yeah,'" Axel grinned.

"I said hell yeah," Roxas confirmed. He let himself be seen giving Axel a smitten look before he clapped his hands and sat up straighter, turning to business mode. "Now for the real reason you are here," he addressed Pence and Olette. "Help us figure out how to dress this story up a bit before Xion and Sora are the 'first people we tell.'"

Things I think Kingdom Hearts executed really well Actually:

The Land of Departure becoming Castle Oblivion - This was not something I could have ever predicted, and it isn’t so out of the question that it feels like it came from nowhere. It makes sense. It’s super awesome and unexpected. It explains why Castle Oblivion even exists in the first place and why no one can totally properly navigate through it. It’s just awesome. Watching Aqua change the Land of Departure in BBS is one of my absolute favorite scenes. I always watch with rapt attention, speechless, amazed.

Xemnas’ interest in Castle Oblivion and the Chamber of Repose - Working off of my first point, this is part of the reason why the Land of Departure being Castle Oblivion works so well. Considering Xemnas is the Nobody of Terranort, it would make sense for him to have at least some of Terra’s memories. The cutscene of Xemnas referring to Aqua’s armor as “friend” hits like a ton of bricks when all the info is given to you, as well as his desire to find the Chamber of Waking in order to find Ven. It’s interesting to think of Xemnas as a sort of extension of Terra and not just Xehanort. This is equal parts sad and amazing with just a touch of creepy.

The reveal of Riku being Sora’s Dream Eater - Maybe I’m dumb, but I went through all of Dream Drop Distance and didn’t ever question why Riku had the Dream Eater symbol on his back. This twist caught me completely off guard, and that’s why it’s so cool. All the information was there for you from the beginning; it’s just whether or not you put the pieces together. And once Ansem explains it to Riku, all of it makes sense. The entire game comes together in a wild, new way. I think this was one of the coolest twists in the entire series.

Aqua’s character in BBS - The girls in Kingdom Hearts are a little difficult for me because they barely get any screen time and Kairi, Naminé, and Xion are all mirrors of one another in some kind of way. It’s hard to love them without doing a little bit of my own imagination. Or my love is based on minimal substance. Aqua, on the other hand, was a totally new character, completely removed from the three previous females, she was fully playable, and she carries the story of Birth by Sleep. She’s a fearsome warrior and keyblade master. She doesn’t shy away from her femininity. She acts as a very matriarchal character in her trio, but she’s not limited to that role. She has flaws. She’s just handled so well, especially in comparison to the other women in the series, and I have so much respect for her. The only reason I specify “in BBS” is because I feel like she lacks her full character in KH3, the same way Kairi, Naminé, and Xion all receive poor treatment throughout the series.

"You want to try something with my hair?" Tonia frowns, though it's more of a puzzled one than a disapproving one. She hasn't quite forgotten the hair dye fiasco - her brother's stupidity is sometimes too memorable for that, Irminsul-aided remembrance or not - but she has no idea how that's supposed to tie into Sora's request.

At the very least, she doesn't know how a rainbow of hair colors would be super cute... sort of. Depends on the colors. Even Tonia understands that multiple colors can make for a very pretty palette no matter the format.

The girl raises an eyebrow for a moment, before shrugging. "Well, if it's big sister asking, then why would I say no? At least, I don't think you're going to be as dumb as my brother and dye my hair a dozen-dozen of colors - though if you are, well. His face would be funny to see then... Though I still don't think that's what you're going for?"

Tonia smiles cheerfully. "In any case - any excuse to make him make a stupid face is always fun! Let's do it!"

Maybe it’s their reflex to bring up frozen because they are super obsessed with it and mad that’s it’s iconic but it’s so dumb how people bring it up when others are talking about how bad the tangled world in kingdom hearts is.

What does that have to do with anything? Yeah, frozen’s world is still bad but the kingdom of basics is still an awful world where they keep the movie’s plot with no changes to accommodate the characters of kingdom hearts and sora’s team is just along with the ride. The world even kept out some major events that make no sense in the game and you need to watch the movie to understand it (like the reason why that cradle robber left with the crown after discount kiss the girl).

It’s a bad world and bringing up frozen’s world isn’t going to change that.

Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! (2000) 

Vaporwave: the anime!! Well, kinda. I’m not sure what to call this aesthetic exactly, but it’s a vibe. Eerily similar to Hosoda’s other works. He sure likes his digital, CGI-animated worlds. I liked the mixture of his signature style and the more flashy looking title sequence. This all looks pretty modern and sleek for 2000. 

Digimon introduced: Omnimon, Kuramon, Tsumemon, Keramon, Infermon, Diaboromon 

Notes:

-I don’t get how these short films worked back in the late 90s/early 2000s. Wikipedia says that this was screened at some kind of anime fair, but I wonder if it was ever in normal theaters or on TV. Nowadays, the only chance I get to see shorts in theaters is when they screen the Oscar nominees back-to-back, so there’s probably some kind of criteria against showing stuff that’s too short. 

-At the start of the short I thought the kids were supposed to be aged up, but then Taichi mentioned elementary school, so I guess it hasn’t actually been that long after all. I think they just look a little more mature in this art style. Sucks that Joe has to take an entrance exam just to go to middle school. Yikes. 

-I got a wave of excitement coming back to these characters. It’s only been a few months since I finished Adventure, but I think it improved my viewing experience to take a break in between that and this short. 

-Taichi was pretty annoying in this, not gonna lie. He’s just so hyperactive and dumb. This is more apparent in the higher budget art style cuz he’s constantly moving around and very expressive. I wanted to smack him at points and be like “Chill out!”

-lol @ Mimi just vibing in Hawaii the whole time. Must be nice.

-When the digimon were like “we’ll go into the network to save you guys this time” I was kinda like “you mean the digimon world isn’t already in the network?? I think I need a diagram lol. 

-The fact that Sora canonically refuses to take off her winter hat to the point that she gets offended when Taichi gives her a barrette is pretty funny. She’s weird. She’s a weirdo. Have you ever seen her without that stupid hat? That’s weird. 

-Seeing them put up with the crappy 90s tech, including the computer being hooked up to the phone was pretty amusing and the Windows 98 ending credits were a beautiful thing 

-Seemed kinda random how Koushiro was chugging back teas just for the added drama of him having to pee. I thought he was going to reveal he had some weird illness or something, but I guess he was just inexplicably, extremely thirsty. 

-The fact that all those random kids around the world just kinda understood what was happening was a little weird. I get the super genius kids, but I think some of them were just supposed to be average so...

-The combo of the country bumpkins and the technological battle was clever, but also I’ve already seen Summer Wars so it kind of felt like a repeat to me. 

-That final battle was hype af! A little over-the-top dramatic with the swelling choir, but when they revealed Omnimon’s sword hand thingy, I was sold. He kind of looked like something out of Evangelion. This is the first time we see any kind of digimon fusing. I feel like that opens up a whole new can of worms...

i love week 3 neku so much. while of course they have to try to play up the ‘wow beat is a silly dumb klutz’ thing to continue with the theme of neku disliking his partners at first, it’s honestly very obvious even from the beginning that neku likes beat as a person. that’s his friend. he’s happy that he can finally say that after two weeks.

and beat being who he is is literally never a problem that holds them back. book smarts aren’t required to get through the third week. brute strength and a brave, kind, honest heart are, and beat is perfect for that. and i think neku realizes it. he’ll make fun of beat for being kinda dumb but i don’t think he would ever change a thing if given the chance. neku is clearly just as fond of this guy as anyone else, but right from the start of the week.

anyway back to neku. he’s still our edgy protag but he’s clearly matured a whole lot by the third week. he’s not the whiny kind of edgelord teen anymore. in w3 he kinda just carries this air of cool confidence, y’know? he’s super powerful and he knows it. he loves and believes in his friends a whole lot. he’ll never be a big old sappy softie like sora, but he’s emotionally honest and unashamed. he’s a protag you’re proud to be playing as. i just love him

Digimon Survive First Impressions

Okay so this might go a tad long, and I KNOW, what do you mean "FIRST impressions"? I bought the game on the 29th but didn't get to play it until today ;w; and I'm not even done the dang prologue yet--

ANYWAY, I'm really enjoying the game so far! I didn't expect them to put the prologue movie in the game so I watched it on YouTube beforehand and proceeded to be hella embarrassed LOL

In terms of story, I'm hecka interested to see where this goes. I have a really dumb theory that is probably not true at all, but I'm already thinking, which is good! I also didn't expect a certain character to show up and like. Be important. That was cool.

Also, love the various Easter eggs/cameos I've seen so far. AND it seems like the wonderful Chika Sakamoto will be blessing my ears with her voice as Agumon once again. So soon. UGH I WANT IT NOWWWWW

Here are my impressions of the main cast so far, in no uncertain terms:

Takuma: Baby. Baby goggle boy. I wanna hug him.

Aoi: A little like Sora, but more feminine. She's very funny when interacting with Minoru, though. Her hair goes SWOOSH

Minoru: A little shit I love to love. Just the funny man. I think he's related to Daisuke. I want him to be my bestie.

Kaito: He's like temperamental but also super polite??? I kinda like the hot and cold, though, it's not the usual lone wolf type of vibe. Also, I love how he calls his sister "frail" and she's like. Not. Silly boy.

Shuuji: He looks like Jou and actually started to show off Jou-like panic. Otherwise, he's got his act together a little more. Still funny when he screamed like he was Jou.

Saki: Basically Mimi, except like later Mimi. Less spoiled, you know/? Somehow is also Belle from Beauty and the Beast, because of...

Ryo: The Beast. Somehow is hanging out with Saki even though he's basically hating on everyone. Also a coward which is ADORABLE.

Miu: She's super funny to me. Clearly done with Kaito's "princess in a tower" act. But not afraid to be, well, afraid. She reminds me of Takeru in the best way.

Will I probably want to write Digimon Survive content now? Yes.

So, I've got some thoughts on Kairi. Let's start. 1) Wouldn't it be weird if she was related to MoM? I mean, the game about her has the same acronym... 2) While I know it's not gonna happen, what if she was a post-game secret boss in KH4? Like, Sora's returned, and asks for a battle, and who's she to deny her bestie a spar? And of course, in the meantime, she's been training, so she's (hopefully) not gonna be a pushover. 3) Could she have some connection to Ava? While this would contrast the first dumb idea, it could hypothetically work. I dunno, just spitballing.

I'd say a lot of the times he's like.. trying to avoid a topic and then Donald and Goofy call him out on it, even if it's something small. Like for example, sometimes he'll think about him and Kairi and Donald and Goofy will point it out and he'll get real embarrassed about it. I think anyone would be embarrassed about it, but like.. he doesn't really get embarrassed about much else? He kind of takes all his goofs in stride and fully embraces it rather then getting embarrassed.

🎢 - Do they like amusement parks? What’s their favorite ride?

Oh yeah, he LOVES amusement parks, a good bit why being that he y'know. Lives in one. But also he just loves seeing how much joy the thrill of it can generate. As for actually riding them he enjoys them just about as he enjoys anything else. Also journey into imagination sweep he stands his brand strongly.

🎨 - What’s their favorite color?

Not all that surprising, pink! Blue is a second, but not close. Everything else he feels pretty neutral about, except yellow. Fuck the color yellow.

🌙 - What’s their sleep schedule like?

Awful. Literally the worst. Guy hardly sleeps ever because he gets awful, super vivid nightmares, and whenever he does sleep, he gets waken up by something as simple as someone walking past his door. He hardly ever sleeps just in general.

❣️ - What are their love languages?

That's a good question, actually... Physical Touch is a good one just because like. He kind of hates how he is physically.. and also he hasn't really felt proper touch in like, years. Many of them. Many. That and probably words of affirmation as well as quality time - honestly mostly anything that involves really assuring him that he's like.. here, with the person. His issues <3.

🍽️ - What’s their favorite food?

HIS GRUEL!!! HE LIKES HIS GRUEL!!! But seriously I think he enjoys savory foods and then sweet, and like.... I don't know if he's branched out enough food wise to really have a favorite? He probably really likes pies, and he gets those with Snow, so there's that for currently speaking! A lot of the foods he probably branched out with and tried were on pleasure island so he can't really count anything there as a favorite even though he liked a lot of it.

hi i’m just gonna ramble a bit about my (really dumb) little personal dnd idea under the cut (:

so i’ve had an idea brewing in the back of my head for a while about a potential campaign i could run one day, and in it i’d have the four jrwi boys sort of cameo as gods in the world, but have them be like, super vaguely based off a combo of the guys themselves/the characters they play/the campaigns they run/etc. i don’t have it all thought out yet, but roughly what i’ve got so far is:

grizeden: survival, stories, artificial life/bringing life to something new

soracond: communication, travel, the sky and other planes

[charlie]: magic, magical creatures, knowledge, and chaos

[bizly]: family/personal bonds, the land, animals/natural life

it all started as a joke idea, but then i made a paladin character and had one of them be the deity they follow and felt that i had to flesh them out a bit more, so. here we are. now they like have ties to the world and look after certain regions and kingdoms and races and are involved in certain characters stories and. they’re not just a joke anymore. i didn’t mean for this how did this happen--

also. i really need ideas for charlie and bizly’s god names. whenever i try my mind just goes blank. like, grizeden is grizzly + eden (gives off a chill vibe/when i was initially thinking this up i was rewatching riptide and around when edyn was introduced grizz said she was his favorite character at the time bc of the story he had planned for her and i thought that was cool), and soracond is condi + sora (jp for sky) ((haha weeb moment, but in actuality with jay’s bird theming/i always imagined her magic looking like wind, and apotheosis turning the sky black and traveling to the heavens, it's just. yknow?.))

i’ve got various notes about a bunch of random things, like soracond mostly being worshiped by a civilization dangling off a giant walking mountain city inhabited by a bunch of different flying races, inanimate objects gaining life if something is devoted/cares enough about it to see it as a living thing/grizeden being the protector of such beings and becoming the origin of living constructs/warforged, a common superstition/saying that when a magic ritual fails and causes a backlash it’s not because of the magic itself reacting, it’s [charlie] personally correcting you for messing up the rules, and my favorite, [bizly] being depicted as riding a moonbeast (that no one can agree on an appearance for) and him being able to split into a bunch of smaller and weaker portions of himself to more directly survey mortals in person (bizly pequenos).
