A little flashback, to about two years ago….

Blue has hearts in his eyes as he looks down at his newborn daughter. “She’s beautiful,” he whispers. “Ray, she’s just gorgeous…Our little Cherry Swash…”

You sigh, happy but tired and sore from the birth. “She’s perfect,” you agree.

“Just like her mama.” Blue leans over carefully to kiss your forehead. “I love you so much, Ray.”

“Mmm…love you too, Sans…”

You close your eyes and Blue turns his attention back to the tiny babybones in his arms. She looks back at him with big green lights in her sockets. Blue blinks away tears. “My precious girl,” he murmurs to her. “I love you so much already. You’re absolutely perfect…”

is there a flower that reminds makoa of elia?

hibiscus 🌺 mainly because, when elia first moved to sulani she was in awe at how they grow wildly there. makoa was so use to seeing them, he forgot how beautiful they were until he saw her reaction. he’ll never forget the way her face lit up! it was one of the first flowers he planted for her when he made their flower garden. :’)

So can you tell us about this arranged marraige? Is it explicitly for uniting houses or are there other known expectations for the union? Like heirs and such?

Arranged marriages often involve hidden agendas, but for the Borgians, they hold a deep-rooted belief in the sacredness and significance of marriage as the most vital union. Hence, Borgia's initial proposal for peace revolved around this idea.

Unlike the Argonian, I would not say Borgians do not care about lineage, but they don't prioritize direct ancestry. In their system, if the family's head passes away without marriage or heirs to ascends their position, then a sibling, cousin, or any person from the same clan and bloodline can step in as a replacement. The key factors for selection are possessing the necessary qualities and receiving approval from the elders.

However, securing heirs is crucial for the other party involved if they seek to solidify their grip on power within the Clan.

Furthermore, there might be expectations regarding the roles and responsibilities of the married couple within the larger societal framework. These expectations can encompass various aspects, such as upholding family traditions, maintaining a favorable public image, or actively participating in community affairs.

It's also worth noting that the person chosen to be the spouse of the family's head carries an immense responsibility of managing the household. They are entrusted with the crucial task of overseeing the day-to-day affairs, making important decisions, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the house.

I originally wrote this after reading Gym Life S15.Ep:43-BMB21, but before I saw that Spa Day S15.Ep:44-BMB22 was posted. After reading Spa Day, I had to consider whether or not my thoughts changed. So I sat on it for a bit. Then I read Get Somebody Else to Do It S15.Ep:45-BMB23 this morning and that confirmed for me that my thoughts didn't change.

I agree with what Quinton was saying in the last scenes of Gym Life. BUT!

I think Quinton missed the mark with Yasmine's date. They are all perpetually being put on the spot; they're all interviewing for the role, but so far, everyone's date has been couched in their interests but in a way that they could offer commentary on it but also enjoy each other's company. With Yasmine, he took her to a place, albeit, very much couched in her interests, but in a way that she became the sole object of commentary. Dani didn't have to convince the club to cha cha slide and Noemy didn't have to prepare a feast; they both got to enjoy their interests whereas Yasmine had to prove hers.

I think it came from a good place, the same place in Quinton that produced the other dates, but since she's an influencer, he could have seen what she was made of in that respect from her social media. I think the gym environment was inspired, but at a gym it would be inappropriate for her to comment on the other gym-goers, so she couldn't even turn the tables to her advantage and could only do what he asked her to do from the door, which was perform. He has some far-reaching connections, so maybe he could have arranged for her to get a peek behind the scenes of someone she admired in the industry; not to meet them, because three's a crowd, but just to hang out, observe, and experience it a bit. Something like that would have afforded her the same advantage as the others.

As for Yasmine, she seems to have completely forgotten it was supposed to be a date. Not entirely her fault considering what she was initially tasked to do, but it was not a good look for a perspective partner or future trainer for her to be so focused on herself. She only checked in with him once. Her bio might say that she's looking for love, but she seems like she'd be better off with a business partner.

Now, while Quinton didn't get to interact with Yasmine in the same way as the others, he did get to see her passion, her determination, her tunnel vision, and that while she seems to be competitive, she's mostly competing with herself. And, if nothing else, I think he got to see that she is not ready for a life with him and what that entails. Tunnel vision and child rearing don't mix.

Even if with the date Quinton was aiming to see if Yasmine, when surrounded by her interests, could manage to broaden her focus and be aware of and attentive to her company, I still think making her perform when the others didn't have to was shortsighted of him. He's a thoughtful dude, so I know it wasn't intentional, but the consequences of that was Yasmine was at a disadvantage and that Quinton didn't get to share the time with her in the same way. They did have time after the workout on the sofa, but by then it was already too late because the cadence had been set.

Now, that is what I wrote initially, and after Spa Day, my thoughts haven't changed. But I will say that while it wouldn't make sense for Quinton to take her to hot yoga before a workout, the new experience aspect of the session was more in keeping with the previous dates. Since it came after the performance, though, it still feels like Quinton missed an opportunity to get to know her in the same way/at the same pace.

Rockwall climbing was a new experience as well, but it was wrapped in the performance, so I don't want to say it doesn't count, but maybe that it doesn't carry the same weight.

But I guess when all is said and done, he still learned what he needed to.

I am so happy to have your feedback because I struggled to write this date, because gameplay it was awful. Any interactions outside of them working out seemed to irritate him. His mood was often either bored or tense. Her negative trait is self-absorbed. So, story wise I ran with that to match why he had a negative moodlet. However, without giving up too much info Quinton has plans for Yasmine. But I love how you broke this down. Yas also had no backstory outside of her being a barista and wanting to train celebs for me to build upon, so I heavily leaned into the self-absorbed or "tunnel vision" as you put it. Even in the house she always goes off on her own to swim or workout. She never interacts with him without me queuing her up to do so. While at the spa when they got in the hot tub, he actually moved away from her, but I left those pics out because it seemed too harsh. I actually felt bad. Now, remember Yasmine has a free pass from elimination this first round because she won the bowling tournament. So hopefully things can turn around.

It's been almost 4 years since I started my story (first posted in early June of 2019)

What about it are you most proud of?

Um... I guess how long I've stuck with it and how far it's come since the beginning (it was pretty cringe in the beginning lol)

I've gotten better at storytelling since starting it, and a little better at building sets and stuff.

"Woahhh! They got Jo Yuri now too?"

You look up to see what the guy is pointing at and see this poster ad.

You're surprised to see this just out in the open. Then again with how innocent this looks, only those who know what to look for will notice the innuendo.

You've heard of how good Yiren is and how wild the other idols could be. You could have gone to idol club anytime but crowded places aren't exactly your cup of tea. Perhaps it's time to try something new? Even just for once?

You find yourself staring at the billboard right next to the club entrance, mesmerized once again.

One of the club security personnel walked past the billboard, your attention immediately brought back to reality. The noise, the smell of alcohol and sweat, the idea of having to deal with other people just puts you on your nerves.

"New customer? Perhaps the club is just not quite your scene?" You look to your right and see a woman in business attire. She walks a few steps closer to you and hands out a business card. You remain on guard, skeptical of her intentions until you're certain she isn't an immediate threat. You accepted the card with haste, bowing politely. "It's not far from here, I hope you'll enjoy it."

Huh... a love hotel partially owned by Idol Club. Now, this is something you've never heard of. Curiosity got the best of you and you're now at your new destination, right in front of the hotel counter.

"Um... Hi! I'm here for... Um..." You point to the business card that you're concealing in your palm.

"Understood Sir, please follow me." You followed the staff to a pretty cozy room with a kiosk in it. "We respect our customer's privacy so please take all the time you need. You'll find everything you need on the kiosk. Press the assist button if you have any problems. I hope you'll enjoy your stay." The staff leaves you alone in the room.

Personal details... Rules... Terms & conditions... Cozy gaming room theme? Sure... You've filled in what you need. Now you're left with choosing which idol. Oh, only Jo Yuri is available, not that you mind of course. Now to the final screen to review all your details and choices.

"Proceed with your choices?" The message pops up on the screen, warning you this is the last chance to pull back. You hit 'confirm'.

You hear Yuri's voice through the speakers, "Thank you for choosing me! I'll be here with you shortly."

Did you just... superimpose a fake Idol Club logo onto an actual Jo Yuri ad? 😂

Hi! Wow, it's been a while since I talked about that scene...

But yes! So far the plan is to have every RO there, and you get to see their reaction to this. Some will go easily to either side of the room, like Evander, Zane, and Nova. Leaving you and Aimé sorta standing there, but I'll let you see it unfold for yourself!

A lot of eyes will be on MC in the scene.

What's new with Poppy, Boss?

Boss is in the playroom at his house, in the middle of a very important tea party. He doesn't seem to hear your question. His little daughter, Poppy, dressed in her finest, pours imaginary tea into a dainty cup and then drops something extra in. She pretends to stir and then holds out the cup to her father.

"Lookit, Papa! I make tea!"

Boss takes the cup and looks into it carefully. "Oh," he says, "what a pretty butterfly hairclip there is in my tea. It will add such a nice flavor. Thank you, Poppy!" He pretends to sip at the tea while Poppy watches him carefully.

"No drink bufferfly," she says. "On your head!"

Boss stops drinking. "Oh, I see. It goes on my head. Thank you so much! I will put it there right now." He lifts the pink butterfly out of the cup. "Will you help me put it on?"

"Yes! I help!" Poppy grabs the clip and climbs her father like a jungle gym, until she's sitting on his shoulders. She sticks the clip (which must have some kind of adhesive on it) to the very top of his skull and then drums her little hands on either side of it. "Papa is preeettty!!!" she sings. "Papa look soooooo nice!"

You see Boss wince a little as his child uses his skull like a bongo, but he keeps a smile in his voice. "Poppy is soooo helpful," he sings to her little tune. "Poppy is the best girl in the whooooole world!" He reaches up and puts his hands around her waist, lifting her down to sit in his lap instead. She looks up at him adoringly.

"Love you, Papa," she says.

"Love you too, Poppy-bug." He finally seems to notice you. "Have you been there the whole time? Come in and have tea with us. Poppy, make Auntie Ray a cup of tea."

Poppy leaps out of his lap and rushes to her task. "Tea for Auntie!" she cries. Something from her pocket goes into your cup and she runs across the room to hold it out to you. Lucky you. She must just have butterfly clips in her pocket today. (The last time you were here, she had real ladybugs.)

Now, i question. What troops are each RO? There will be NSFW scene with them?

So! This is actually really hard to answer!

Now, two are very clear:

Faith - friends to lovers (although expect some angst in there)

Levan - rivals to lovers (less angst than you'd expect, probably)

For the rest, it's more complicated and I can't give a definite answer (especially since I have no plan for where this is going) But I'd carefully say some classic strangers to friends to lovers. But for the whole cast, I'd also guess some forced proximity at some point. Some will be pretty slow burn?

As you can see... I haven't really planned that out and would rather see where the journey takes me, so take everything with a grain of salt :)

As for the NSFW:

I'd give it a soft no for now? Since I have very little experience in writing I think I'd be punching a bit above my weight with that.

BUT I can't completely rule it out. The rating would change in that case, obviously.

Sparrow watched the tall pale woman narrow her equally pale eyes at the target hung from a tree longer than a behemoth away. Sweetjane was silent, still, stillness in living form. And then her arm moved swiftly and there was a flying glint and a dull *thunk*.

"Hit," Sweetjane murmured. It was her fifth bullseye.

They walked to the target and stared at the throwing knife with a dab of purple paint daubed on the handle. Square in the center of the target.

"That make one hand, Sweetjane," Sparrow said. "I not have that many!"

"You made three, little one," Sweetjane pointed out. "That's pretty good considering you're still learning."

"Mama say, I get better. Mama say, need more work. Mama say, game with Sweetjane 'fect for learn."

"Your Mama is correct, little one."

"Little Bird," Sparrow corrected.

Sweetjane grinned. "Little Bird, then. Are we to keep practicing?"

Sparrow looked up at the sky, tracking where the sun was versus the shadows, and then looked over to the barn. She could see Darcy shooing a goat into the barn, a sure sign that afternoon was ending.

"Dinner. Papa cook. Want eat papa cook?"

"Eat dinner with your family, you mean?" Sweetjane asked.

"Yes! With Mama an Papa an Bean! Papa cook an we eat an we talk an tell Mama how did. Yes?"

"I suppose that sounds like a good idea. Your game of knife throwing was fun. Do you want to do it again tomorrow?"

Sparrow nodded. "Yes. Invite Darcy. He use knife. Not see throw. Maybe he try? And Bean an Levi can watch."

"Not play with us?"

Sparrow pondered. "Maybe try? Might could? Bean very fast. Synth. Can do? Maybe! Levi cook. He use knife...but kitchen? Can throw? Maybe? Yes. Ask. See!"

Sweetjane laughed, making Sparrow grin. Sparrow loved this tall woman who reminded Sparrow of herself. They could be sisters, albeit one very short and one much taller. Not as tall as Canary, but still. When the three of them stood next to each other, their coloring made them look like sisters or mother and daughters. Sparrow loved it. She loved having another woman who could be her family. She loved having another friend.

She just loved Sweetjane.

"Sweetjane Friend. Love!"

"I love you too, Sparrow."

"Come dinner! Tell Mama 'bout knife game. Eat Papa cook. Stay."

"Well, alright."

Sparrow reached for Sweetjane's hand and Sweetjane let her, entwining their fingers. Sparrow gave a happy hum, swung their arms, and led Sweetjane home.

I meeeean, I definitely don't think anybody HAS to sit there and put up with someone with intense internalized homophobia, but I feel like this anon avoids a lot of nuance that I had hoped to convey.

If it helps, I don't imagine Sarah to be externally homophobic in the sense of saying anything bad about other gay people? I imagine her being completely quiet when gay people are brought up; regardless of if they're being talked about positively or negatively.

The town she grew up in is extremely homophobic, to the point where her mother shipped her away when Sarah started displaying "homosexual behavior". I think that would make anyone ashamed to outright call themselves gay. Cut her some slack, anon 😭 the woman is traumatized and in denial due to her religious upbringing.

The scene with Sarah and her mother together in the kitchen? Imagine that attitude for twelve years straight and tell me you can't at least begin to imagine why Sarah acts the way she does.

I'm not against the idea of cassandra deciding she doesn't want to put up with someone with that much internal baggage, but I feel like saying she "should" kick her out is a lil harsh. Cassandra's whole relationship with Sarah is "I could fix her" and she can't do that if Sarah is out on the streets 💀
