Hi my name is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way and I have long ebony black hair (that's how I got my name) with purple streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Amy Lee (AN: if u don't know who she is get da hell out of here!). A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

GOOD MORNING TOKYO！

久しぶりの東京です。(といっても去年の11月以来)

朝からMARUICHI BAGELへ行き、みほちゃんにサンドイッチを作ってもらいました。

今はミニベーグルでもサンドしてくれるんだって。

ということでミニで作ってもらいました。おいしい、嬉しい。

「みほちゃん、一緒に写真撮ろうよ」と、ガラス越しに記念撮影。(ほぼ写ってません。笑)

そこから歩いて「OUR FAVORITE SHOP」へ。

只今仲條正義さんの展覧会を開催中です。

キギグッズも買えるし素敵なお店です。(ぐっと我慢したよ)

そういえばそこまで行く途中

中学校の前を通ったら卒業式をやっていて、聴こえてきた合唱にじーんとなってしまいました。

(すぐ泣くお年頃)

YAECA HOME STOREも久々にのぞいて「はー素敵やー」とため息。

夜はあっちゃんの家にお邪魔しまして、おいしいご飯を頂きました。

ポテトチップスはあっちゃんが前にインスタのストーリーズに載せてるのを見て

「食べたーい！」と密かに訴えていた手作りのポテチです。

あっちゃん作の果実酒やらも色々出て来てたくさんもてなしてもらいました！

LINEとかじゃなく、やっと直接色々話せて嬉しかった！

あっちゃん、ありがとう。

2日目。

朝はmy pandaデザイナーの中村さんとモーニング。

お揃いのコートでしたね。まるで制服！笑。

中村さんとも直接色々話せて良かったです。

会って話すことはほんと大事だな～～～

その後は上原に行き、ムギハナ覗いたらホリーがいたので

チューリップ2本ください！とオーダー。

かわいく包んでもらった2本を抱えて、April shopへ。

初めてお邪魔する、渡邉紘子さんの新しいスペースです。

開催中の岡本果倫さんの展示がとっても素敵でした。かわいーー！と心の中で大興奮。

そんな訳で写真の中にあるお花と文字の作品を購入しました。

それを見てる時に隣に三日月があるのを見つけて「わ！これも欲しいです！」と。

届くの楽しみだなあ。

次は祖師谷のセイコさんのもとへ。

お弁当の日だったので一つ予約させてもらいヒバリで食べさせてもらうのでした。

お野菜たくさんカラフルなピビンパ。

まぜまぜして頂きました。セイコさんのごはん、久しぶりで嬉しいなあ。

セイコさんとはいつもたくさん話したいこと、聞きたいことがあるので時間が足りません。

そして会って別れた後はもう会いたくなる。笑。(好き過ぎでしょう)

夕方、表参道へ。

PLACE IN THE SUNでカラーしてもらいました。

田村くんがやってくれてる横で

オーナーの小林さんが横からやいのやいの言ってくるのが面白かった。

SUNは平和です。

最後は小林さんが手直ししてくれてね、贅沢でした！

髪の色もやっと落ち着いて満足です。

3日目。

事前に予約していた佐藤可士和展を観に国立新美術館へ。

(外は雨降りだったので美術館日和でした)

SMAPものはやっぱりちょっとテンション上がるよね。

手掛けたロゴが巨大サイズで展示されていて面白いです。

赤とオレンジ。猫背な私。トネさん撮影。

セブンのシリーズも並べると圧巻ですね。(トネさんの美しい頭と共に)

面白い展覧会でした！みんな来ちゃうの納得。

その後、地下のSFT覗いたら欲しいものだらけで大変。

(TEMBEAのバッグとかALOYEのお洋服とかさ、で、結局giraffeのネクタイ買うってどんだけ好きなの)

ちょうどmogu takahashiさんの小さな展覧会もやっていて、ラッキーでした。

(moguさんの靴下もめちゃんこかわいかった～)

さて。

で、お腹空いたねえ、どこ行こうかな。

外は雨降りなので屋根がある場所で移動しよう。

あ、行きたいとこあったんだ！日比谷？なら一本で行けるね。

しかも駅直結だね。

なので多少並んでいても待ちますよ(そう、今日は日曜日なのだ)。

ガッツリなシェフズサラダとローズマリー香るフレンチフライ、にしました。

おいしいね。

食後のデザートはタルトタタンを半分こ。

(タルトタタン大好き)

しかし90分制はなかなかすぐですね。

日比谷ミッドタウン好きー。

色々見るお店あるもんね。お洋服も雑貨も色々。

しかし外はなかなかの雨降りですが距離は近いのでえいやっと歩いて銀座へ。

ここでトネさんとお別れして私は1人銀座メゾンエルメスフォーラムで開催中の落合多武さんの個展へ。

昔、数枚絵を観たことはあったけど、個展は初めて観るのでした。

難しかったけどね...でも大きいキャンバスの作品が見られて嬉しかったのだよ。

ヤコちゃんの家に帰ったら豪華ディナーを用意してくれていた！

(巨大なロールキャベツなのでした)

すごーい！なんてありがたい...。

東京はまだ緊急事態宣言が解除されていなかったので

飲食店もクローズするのが早く、夜に外でご飯が食べられず。

そんな中、こうして素敵なごはんを用意してもらえるの嬉しいよう。

みんなで食べるごはんは楽しくておいしい。

そしてカネモト家の黒ウサギ、コピさんです。

前回よりも大分大きくなっていたよ。

でもかわいいんだ。

時々じっとおとなしく座るからここぞとばかりに撫でてあげるの。

嫌がることなくずっと撫でられてるコピさんに癒されてました。

ああ、かわいい。

4日目。ラストデー。

新宿待ち合わせ。というか東京で会うの初めてですね。

いつもメッセージでやり取りしてた２人と喫茶店へ。

やっと話わかってもらえるー！という内容を思う存分話させて頂きました。

笑い話になってこのまま終わるといいね。

高円寺へ移動。

行ってみたかったKIOSCOへ。

(ちょうど閉まってるタイミングだったので「まだかな～？」と、覗いてるハマニシさんでした)

小さなスペースにかわいくて楽しいもの色々ありました。

メキシコっぽい感じもありつつね。

「どこか行きたいとこありますか？」と聞いてもらったんだけど

３日間あるとね、もう大分色んな場所に行けたり人に会えたので

「うーん、もうないです」ということで

駅近くのサンマルクカフェでおしゃべりタイムでした。

(住んでる人みたいでそれもまたいいよね。)

そうだ！２人から思い掛けず素敵なものを頂いてしまいました。

(simmonのノザワさんも一緒にと！つまり３人から)

「おつかれさまでした」の贈り物。

まさかそんなの貰えると思ってもみなかったのでびっくり！

しかもsimmonのピアスだなんて！うれしすぎでした。涙。

ああ、やっぱり素敵な人たちだ。

２人と別れて東京駅へ。

IDEE TOKYOへ。

開催中の展示は「赤木と松林と。」

そしてお店に並んでるアイテムが

深澤直人さんがキュレーターだけあって素敵なラインナップ。

(柚木さんのてぬぐいもかわいかったなあ...)

そんなこんなでしっかり４日間堪能して、新幹線に乗って帰って来ました。

時間合わせて会ってくれたみなさま、ありがとう。

おかげでとても楽しかったです。

琺瑯（ほうろう）でアクセサリーをつくっている荒井有紀さんのブランド「SIRUP」による個展「九月の三角と四角の琺瑯」です。

琺瑯のピアスやイヤリングなどのアクセサリーを中心に展示販売します。

新作はすこし立体的でシンプルな三角形。四角のペアは2011年に発表したシリーズで、そこから展開した白と組み合わせのデザインも新たに加わります。（DMより転載）

SOME THOUGHTS

DUDE I LOVE THIS GAME AND THIS SONG SO MUCH. you basically chase your dead fiance the entire game and this is the perfect song to accompany the bittersweet ending you get with him. it made me emotional when i didn’t understand what it meant, but now that i do, i’m a mess. the fiance is a wonderful man too so it just hurts more that we caused AND survived an accident that killed him.

there are two examples of alternate kanji reading here, like in hitotsu=unmei kyoudoutai. 現実 or genjitsu for ‘reality’ is read as 日々 or hibi which is ‘everyday’ the adverbial noun. 現在 or genzai for ‘present’ meanwhile is read as 今 or ima for ‘right now’. the meanings are pretty related and add some pretty exciting insight (especially the first) to what the song’s trying to say, but i’m still unsure why they bother to do it. if you’re going to say it as ima for the sake of the song’s flow, why not just write it as 今 and not 現在? there’s probably some depth to it that i’ve yet to learn to understand.

regarding the ピアス ‘piercings’ at the end, this word is usually used to refer to earrings, but in the context of the game, that’s not the case. see, fatal frame iii involves exploring an old ritual where a maiden, tattooed so she can carry all of the grief within the village to the other side, is laid on the ground and impaled with stakes so that she can never get up again. i think it’s referenced in the song as some kind of form of self-punishment to atone for the guilt of surviving, and how even that level of suffering isn’t enough. #relatable

special shoutout to my favorite parts lyrically: the second pre-chorus and that final bit at the end. they’re absolutely gut-punching and heart-wrenching and it’s the kind of pain i adore. but really, i love this whole song. it was a joy to translate and always a joy to sing, and a pleasure to hear after a gruelling several hours of photographing ghosts despite the scarcity of film.

ドローレ「それとも……キミもピアスはダメって怒るの？大人だから」 Drole: Or is it that...You’re angry because I’m doing piercings at this age because you’re an adult?

ラン「そんなことは……」 Ran: That’s...Of course not.

ドローレ「そう？ならいいんだ！」 Drole: Really? Then it’s fine, isn’t it.

その後…… After that...

（テント内は狭いから、城へ行こうって言われたけど……） (He said that we were heading to the castle instead since the tent was really cramped and all, but...)

子どもばかりのチルコの街を、ドローレくんに連れられて歩く。 Drole led me through the children-filled streets of Circo.

チルコへ来た時と違い、ドローレくんは何かと私に話しかけてくれていた。 The trip this time was vastly different from when I had first stepped foot into Circo. He had attempted to strike up a couple of conversations with me along the way.

（嫌われてるわけじゃなくてよかった） (I'm glad that he doesn't hate me or anything.)

（正直なところ、まだドローレくんのことはよくわからないけど……） (To be honest, I don’t really know Drole-kun all that well myself…)

ドローレ「あの先のお城だから、もうすぐだよ」 Drole: The castle’s just up ahead so we’ll be reaching soon.

ラン「うん」 Ran: Okay.

ドローレくんの指さす先には立派な城がそびえ立っていた。 A magnificent castle stood tall in the direction that Drole was pointing at.

ラン「……」 Ran: ……

（なんだろう……この感覚） (What’s this feeling I’m getting…?)

チルコの街を歩いている間中ずっと感じていた、あること…… It was a feeling that had been nagging at me in the back of my mind ever since I walked through the streets of Circo...

街の子ども達「……」 Kids Along The Street: ……

（見られてる……） (They’re really staring…)

それは街の子ども達から私に向けられる奇異の視線と、 From the way the children in the streets stared at me,

『大人がいない』たという違和感だっ…—。 I had the feeling that there were “no adults” that existed here...—

ドローレ「ここがボクの部屋だよ。寛いで。」 Drole: This here is my room. You can be at ease.

ドローレくんの部屋に入った瞬間、私は言葉を失った。 I was at a loss for words the very moment I stepped into his room.

ラン「え…」 Ran: Wha...

視界に入ってくるのは、部屋に整然と飾られた拷問器具のようなインテリアの数々…… The sight of numerous torture weapons neatly lining the walls of his room came into my view.

（寛いでって言われても、落ち着かない……） (I don’t think I can take it easy here at all even if he tells me to…)

ドローレ「どうしたの？もしかして怖いの?」 Drole: What’s wrong? You scared?

ラン「っ……！」 Ran: ……!

くい、と顔を覗き込まれて驚いてしまう。 I jumped a little in surprise when he poked his head right in front of my face.

綺麗な赤い色の瞳が、不思議そうに私を見つめていた。 His beautiful red orbs stared at me in wonder.

ラン「う、うん。でも、すごいコレクションだね」 Ran: No, not at all. Still, that’s an amazing collection you have there.

ラン「全部、ドローレくんのものなの？」 Ran: Are they all yours?

ドローレ「うん、そうだよ。なかなかいいもの揃ってるでしょ？」 Drole: Yup, that’s right. I’ve got quite the collection, don’t you say?

うっとりとした目でハサミのようなものを取り上げるドローレくんに、私は…… He, who takes a pair of scissors with gleaming eyes. And in response, I...

Choice SUN: 怖い It’s scary. Choice MOON: 痛そう Looks painful.

ラン「うーん……痛そう、かな？」 Ran: Hmm...They all look really painful, I guess?

ドローレ「ふふ、小小痛いだろうね。ここなんて、見て！こんなに鋭いもんね」 Drole: Hehe, I’m sure they are. I mean, look here! They’re so very sharp!

ドローレくんは心の底から幸せそうに、目を細めた。 Drole gave a closed-eyed smile, seemingly elated with all of this.

ドローレ「でも大丈夫だよ、これは人に使ったりしない」 Drole: But that’s fine. I don’t intend on using this on anyone.

ドローレ「壊れちゃってるのも多いしね」 Drole: Most of them are broken, if anything.

（壊れてるって言っても……なんのつもりで置いてあるんだろう） (Broken? I wonder why you’re keeping them then.)

ラン「これって、サーカスの大道具……とか？」 Ran: Is this...One of the circus tools?

ドローレ「……それはどうかな？とりあえず今は、インテリアだよ」 Drole: ...I wonder? Well, it’s just an interior decoration for now.

手に持ったハサミを光にかざすようにして、彼は恍惚とした表情を浮かべる。 He made a delighted expression as he raised the pair of scissors in his hands, making it glint in the light.

（……やっぱり、わからない） (Yeah...I really don’t understand him after all.)

ドローレ「あれ? なんか、急に元気なくなっちやったけど、大丈夫?」 Drole: Hm? You seem to be downtrodden for some reason, you okay?

ラン「え……っと、その……」 Ran: Uh...Well, that’s...

戸惑う私に、彼はくすりと笑った。 Drole gave me a smile in reply to my hesitance.

ドローレ「訳わかんないって顔してるね。いいよ、気にしてないから」 Drole: You seem like you can’t process any of this. That’s okay, I don’t mind it at all.

ドローレ「大人はこういうの、理解できないって知ってるからね」 Drole: Because I’m already aware that adults will never come to understand.

さらりとそう告げると、ドローレくんは時計を見上げた。 Replying without even so much as a moment of hesitance, he glanced at his watch.

ドローレ「あっ、そろそろ練習の時間だ」 Drole: Oh, it’s about time for practice.

ドローレ「ボクが得意なのは綱渡りなんだけど、練習風景、見に来る？」 Drole: I specialize in walking the tightrope. I’m pretty good at it. Want to watch me practice?

（あ......） (Oh…)

屈託のない笑みを向けられ、ほっと安堵が込み上げる。 I could feel relief wash through my veins as he turned towards me with a carefree smile.

（こんなふうに子どもらしい笑顔も見せるんだ……） (So he can show such childlike expressions as well I see…)

ラン「もしお邪魔でなければ、お願いしようかな」 Ran: Of course, if I’m allowed to.

ドローレ「うん、じゃあ一緒に来て」 Drole: Alright, come along with me then.

私は思い切って、ドローレくんに尋ねてみることにした。 Making up my mind, I decided to broach the topic with Drole.

そう尋ねると、ドローレくんは少し怒ったような顔をする。 His face warped into one of slight agitation when I asked about the matter.

ドローレ「大人がいる必要なんてある？」 Drole: Is there a need for adults?

次の瞬間...... And at the very next moment...

ドローレ「大人は嘘つきだって、ネロ兄さんが言ってた。だからいらないんだ」 Drole: My brother, Nero, said that all adults are liars. That’s why I have no need for them.

淡々としたドローレくんの声が、なぜだか私の背中を寒くさせる。 The indifference in his voice as he said that ever so coolly sent a chill down my spine.

ラン「ネロ……？」 Ran: Nero…?

ドローレ「このサーカスの団長だよ。団長の言うことなら絶対でしょ？」 Drole: He’s the head of this circus. The head’s words are absolute, won’t you say?

ラン「そう、なの……？」 Ran: I-Is that so…?

ドローレ「うん。大人は皆、悪い奴。だからいなくなったんだって」 Drole: That’s right. All adults are bad guys. That’s why they’re all gone, he said.

（どういうことの……？何かあった?） (What does that mean…? What happened here?)

訳がわからずに戸惑っていると、団員の一人が近づいてきた。 A member of the circus approached us as I tried to wrap my head around my new-found revelations.

団員「ドローレ様、お疲れ様です！」 Member: Drole-sama! Good work!

笑顔をドローレくんに向けた直後…… And right after he smiled at Drole,

団員「！」 Member: !

私の姿を見て、幼い団員は表情を強張らせた…一。 His features hardened the very moment he set eyes upon me...
