It turns out, I'm still not done venting about the SN's smear document and the grievances with my November posts they used to defend contextualize the fakeclaiming and misgendering posts from the admin about me.

A recent post from Lunastus reminded me of this bullet point.

This threw me for a loop because this quote isn't even mine.

It was from the Lunastus Collective who coined the term.

Sure, I reblogged it and defended it, but it wasn't my quote and it's so weird to see this attributed to me.

But with this latest round of drama SAS started, I also want to talk about the drama surrounding the word endogenic and its coiner.

Recap for those who missed that ridiculous drama: The LC coined the term in 2014. In 2021, SAS found a 2015 article that loosely associated the word "endogenic" with Freud supporting the fantasy model. SAS specifically claimed that "the term 'endogenic' can be traced all the way back to Freud's work in 1956!"

But on further investigation, every paper prior to that used a similar but different term, endogenous.

In the end, "endogenic system" is a term 100% coined by the Lunastus Collective.

Endogenic was never used to refer to systems before that.

Now, rather than admit they were wrong, SAS and their entitled cronies doubled down and claimed the words were still too similar, then had the gall to demand an apology from the LC for the baseless made-up manufactured drama.

I've seen some argue that their issue was less with the term and more with the response. That they felt their feelings were being dismissed. (And that part, yeah, was mostly me.)

The problem is that not all feelings deserve to be validated. Not everyone who feels they're in the right actually is. Sometimes in life, you're just on the wrong side, and humoring your feelings will do more harm than good.

Personally, I think The Lunastus Collective deserves an apology for the harassment they received over SAS's smear campaign.

Now, coming back to the latest round of manufactured drama today... let me tell you what these experiences have taught me.

These people don't have "morals." They have friends and enemies.

If you're lucky enough to find yourself on the former list, expect them to loyally turn a blind eye to your wrongdoings for as long as they reasonably can. And when they can't, you can depend on them to make a 20-bullet-point list of things your victim did to deserve it. (Much of which will be fabricated, twisted or taken out of context.)

If you're an enemy, expect them to comb over every word you say. Expect them to twist your words and outright lie about you. Anything to justify their hate of you and manipulate others to feel the same.

This is, unfortunately, their modus operandi.

The thing is, I think they overplayed their hand this time.

I don't think people are really buying the whole "wanting anti-endos to be ostracized is literally worse than death threats or suibait" talking point they have going on.

It's comically overdramatic and, frankly, minimizes the real harm of death threats and suibait in favor of a cheap talking point.

Obviously, people who hate me will continue to hate me and the usual suspects are jumping on it hard as always.

But their posts about this aren't generating much engagement, which SAS's usually do. Usually a couple days into one of SAS's smears, I might have lost a few followers that will take me a whole day or two to regain or I'll get a couple hate anons relating to it.

This feels different. Especially if people were buying the severity of the allegations SAS and pals are trying to push. I have no doubt everyone would be rightly enraged if I were sending actual threats of violence.

But I'm not seeing that here.

I hope this means people are waking up to the lies and manipulation tactics they use, and will start thinking critically about SAS's past smears of both myself and other systems. Admittedly, this might be too much to hope for.

Anyway, you can all can go home now.

This one's a bust.

But maybe you'll get me next time. 🤷‍♀️

This isn't about me, it's about my frustration over defending all of you.

I actually haven't been directly named yet. I could literally walk away unscathed, but my heart hurts so much and I am filled with so many emotions that I feel like I'm going to burst. I am internally imploding.

Keeping quiet has made me physically ill, I have lost twenty pounds, I have ongoing shingles from stress (the stress being unable to deal with strong emotions with no outlet), I am feeling ashamed of myself, who I am, how I handle things. I am full of guilt and self hatred over my feelings. Why can't I just be like you guys? Why can't I just let it wash over me and move on and ignore it?

I question everything I post and say now.

I am once again a child being told that everything I feel is wrong, that I'm wrong.

I'm not blaming any of you for that, but my mental health is falling apart.

Part of my healing was embracing my anger and not being ashamed of my feelings, and venting them honestly and openly.

I'm fifty feet back in my journey, and back to hiding and killing my thoughts and emotions.

I haven't switched since April because I'm so scared to let anyone else out that I can't control.

I'm not like you guys, I can't let this continue.

I love you all, so much.

Everything works out in the end, even if it's not how you expected.

I know a lot of you are going to ask why, wondering what I'm doing, but what are we supposed to do? What do they want from us? What's going to make it stop? None of you deserve this, and someone needs to point that out.

Let's cover the big ones

Was SN involved in the banning of Sophie? No. The server only opened that same day.

Was SN involved in the second banning of Sophie? No. That was only two days later, we still weren't fully open.

The few members in the server show complete confusion over her banning, and rules were added that first day that those involved in harassment or false reporting would be banned.

Was SN involved in the banning of eeveecraft? This one is actually hilarious because you'll see that no one knew who the hell eeveecraft was. It's genuinely hilarious the number of, "who?" Like, wow, you're really not that important.

The Sophie bot: it was a handful of uwus and a joke about balloon popping, THAT'S IT, I am LITERALLY looking at the members being upset over one of Sophie's posts at the time, members venting hurt and fear and upset, extreme frustration, struggling with feelings of powerlessness, and someone made a joke, and I'm looking at apologies and rule updates FROM BEFORE SOPHIE EVEN KNEW ABOUT IT

One user made a post and mistakenly or accidently implied it was still happening, but they weren't even in the server at the time it happened. It was not months of rping and harassment. I am still pissed about that post.

It was one person, one night, get over yourself

While watching the SN mods live rent free in Sophie's head was funny, it's just annoying now. Sorry one of the members did something dumb. Can we have apologies for all the baseless accusations you've slung our way, and the ACTUAL months of harassment?

SN harbouring a pedo?! Mods were very open and honest with members during the event. Multiple announcements were made as we investigated. We spoke with members about their comfort. In the end, the accusations were unfounded, confirmed to be false by the alleged victims themselves. We did our due diligence and we supported our members. There are zero safety concerns.

Their real name?! It wasn't their deadname, HOW THE FUCK WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW, WHAT WERE YOU SERIOUSLY THINKING WHEN YOU LEGALLY CHANGED YOUR NAME TO THAT, WHY

Also, see a therapist, your obsession with that person is TERRIFYING and you genuinely need to talk to someone

My past relationships: thank you for dragging that into this, low move, it's not like I had just gotten the situation to calm down and I was finally able to relax, but you're known to react before hearing both sides. Trust me, the damage was mutual, and I can't talk about it because I'm being blackmailed. That person has my name and address. To them, go ahead, post it, let the community decide if it was one-sided and if I blew off my apology.

SAS/JAS/Dude's Ableism, Abuse, and Fakeclaiming

Since I originally didn't have my name behind this I think some people didn't realize or see this post and how awful it was... sysmedsaresexist aka justanothersyscourse aka Dude fakeclaimed my human trafficking and cultic abuse, spread slanderous lies about me with the knowledge they were lies, and engaged in ableist attacks against me back on September 8th- this person still gets recognition. I still have to unfollow accounts reposting from one of my abusers- and one who attacked me publicly. @awiltedroseconfession was me.

You can see the entire post where they attacked me with an ableist word that are currently under debate if it is considered slur or not- as well as the areas in which they lied about me to my own face HERE.

I am not addressing 1/4 of SAS's attack on me because it's them discussing a separate situation I was not part of merely someone who pushed forward another person's allegations on. This I am now uncertain of who is telling the truth. So I won't be pushing them forward here.

Let's start with this first image. Immediately a lie off the back. IIRC every single mod told me they were NOT a RAMCOA survivor and they still have never said otherwise- you are just a fucking dick who wants to punch down and lie about me while larping as if you're more oppressed than you are- which is funny considering how often you project the idea of "larping oppression" onto others.

You are not well versed in this topic and that is fucking clear from you literally lying about the contents of the screenshot WHICH YOU SHARED. This is from Allison Miller's book Healing The Unimaginable. It does not in fact claim you can get false memories- it claims the opposite. Hearing from fellow survivors makes survivors wrongfully think they are experiencing false memories if they remember similar because RAMCOA survivors often are so in denial they'll cling onto anything. Like I currently won't accept I was trafficked up until 2020 because "well I was fat then so obviously it didn't happen checkmate so it ended in 2013/14" which my therapist laughed at because it's such a delusional way to engage in denial and an alter without the denial told her about it. (This is also aided by people like you who make them believe that any memories similar to others mean they're making it up because "well I heard about it before". Which fun fact you did to us- you have permanently fucked us up and traumatized us we have to take time away from recovery from being trafficked to be able to recover from your abuse to be capable of healing because you manipulated me into thinking my flashbacks were me making it up for attention).

You blatantly lied about being able to trick people into believing they're victims as that never happens. You have a delusional episode isn't false memories- me not being dead does not equal me oppressing you because your disorder is capable of making you have delusional beliefs. I have psychotic episodes and breaks but you don't see me using them as "well I can get false memories of x" because I'm a normal fucking adult and not someone who thinks they should never be held accountable. Because ya know... you lied about the screenshots contents which is provable by anyone who reads the damn thing you yourself showed. Nice trying to weaponize an activist who speaks out against the harm caused by the narrative of false memories' words against me though cause uhhhh that made it so fucking easy to debunk you. I thought you cared about misinfo but guess that was another larp huh.

The first line highlighted is also a lie. it was not banned in the rules but every-time someone talked about it you and others told them to in not so colorful language as I use- to shut the fuck up.

That is a lie- I was not in a bad place. I was away from my abusers- I was in college in a dorm and doing better than I had ever been before. Other mods of survivors network later went on to peddle this false narrative. This individual KNOWS for a fact this was the case they are lying to everyone and they know it. I am literally the person in question, who are you going to believe- me who has proof of my dorm residency or fuck face over here pretending I lived with my abusers?

Wow someone with a more severe presentation of DID, PTSD, and C-PTSD gets triggered daily when that's actually really fucking normal for that disorder and severity? That means I'm evil right? Same person has been defending an endo system getting sent a death threat (like an actual threat of genuine violence) because the endo system "reacted the wrong way" to it and somehow wanting people who threaten to kill others to be isolated is awful but telling someone their trauma that also intersects with several other survivor's never happened because "well tehe I know more about you than you uwu" is fine.

The reason I kept crawling back to syscourse is cause of what I said in the post this fucker reblogged to attack me on. The envoirment made it so I would lose my (at the time) only system friends if I stopped being involved, hope this helps.

Why do you feel that it's appropriate to bring up drama and bash on people that you yourself have started you have not been around for a while? I do not understand your reasoning - what's the point of this, a smear campaign? People are allowed to privately be mad about somebody that is actively harmful to them and their community

You're calling it a smear campaign, even though I have not named what discord server it is or who is directly involved. There is another ask which I could use as an opportunity to bring up what server this is. I just might, considering how this is going.

There is a difference between being privately mad about someone who is indeed harmful; and having a publicly advertised discord server where it is allowed to turn a tumblr user into a meme and openly roleplay as said user pretending to react to situations to mock her.

A recent ask I received and answered from someone currently on the server implies that this is still going on, which doesn't surprise me.

If you really must have a reason why I bring this up, the answer is, I don't know. Honestly, I find it quite weird whenever I see certain users posting under syscourse, and I'm reminded how while there is plenty of intelligent deconstruction of misinformation, there is also a lot of bad-faith bullshit behind the screens. It comes from wanting an easy target to clown on. The easiest thing to do would be to simply block and ignore bullshit while occasionally responding to anything particularly harmful that gets popular.

However, the childish mockery of users on a fairly popular discord server that heavily advertises as being a "mature space" when you read the rules, it is just so gross and hypocritical. Its behavior that just describing will result in the assumption that there must be some kind of targeted smear campaign going on.

I don't care what someone did online, the appropriate response is to fucking block them, and move on. If you want to roleplay as a tumblr user and maker her say funny things to mock her using TupperBox or PluralKit proxies, ok. If you want to bring her up in voice chat as a joke when playing JackBox like she's a hilarious meme, go ahead. It is your decision to do that. However, if you're going to do that on a discord server that's being publicly advertised for anyone on tumblr to join provided that they are an adult and a system... well then you're going to have to deal with someone letting that behavior sit in their brain and think about it and realize how fucked up that is, no matter what absolutely stupid bullshit that person said to make you think that it was appropriate to clown on them like that.

tl;dr - The shit that went down on that server was fucking weird and I didn't like it. No matter how shitty someone is, acting petty is not a mature solution. I'm allowed to talk about what happened if I want to. You calling it a "smear campaign" when I didn't even specify who it was makes me more motivated to share the server (although I forgot exactly who participated directly).

Also, what really motivated me to continue thinking about this was that bracket game which includes both the mocked and the mockees. I don't know who started the bracket game, and I will not claim their intentions, however, it prompted me to think more about how gross that server's vibes were.

Lifton's Eight Criteria helps to identify high control groups, or cults. The eight criteria include:

Milieu Control Perhaps the most important aspect of what makes a "high-demand group" is information and communication control. Members are often isolated from "outsiders", including outside sources not approved by leaders within the group, and family or friends that are not part of the group. Members are often made to "cut off" family and friends that are considered hostile toward the group.

Mystical Manipulation High-demand groups, particularly religious ones, will often use or manipulate events in order to further their message and bolster their doctrine. Examples of this are making prophecies or predictions that get repeatedly altered or forgotten about, or pointing to past predictions as being confirmed by a current event.

Demand for Purity Humans are flawed, and high demand groups exploit this fact by demanding perfection of their members. Sometimes, groups will even acknowledge that perfection is unachievable, but that individuals are perpetually at fault for being the only reason they cannot achieve it. This enhances feelings of guilt and shame, leading the member to feel as if the only way to improve themselves is to seek help from the group.

Confession High control groups exploit their members emotionally by having them "confess" supposed wrongdoings to another member or members. This makes the member vulnerable and constantly alert to their own and others' "sins". It is the promotion of hyper-policing of self and peers.

Sacred Science The group's ideology is held as the ultimate, capital-T "Truth"; it is the one standard by which all aspects of life must be measured. This often leads to science-denial, conspiracy-minded thinking, and isolating oneself based on the belief that others are unenlightened.

Loaded Language Members of cults will often reveal that they are a member of an in-group in the use of language. The group creates unique vocabulary, or changes/enhances the use of a term in order to create a doctrine of thought. This tactic helps to reform the member's thought process by embedding concepts into their minds that can be easily repeated and recognized through the repeated use of a simple phrase or word.

Doctrine Over Person Group belief is held as the ultimate "truth", trumping personal experience, beliefs, values, or reasoning. If the member feels or believes that something about the group is "off" or "untrue", they are taught to dismiss those thoughts and to internalize guilt about having "doubts".

Dispensing of Existence This describes the portion of thought control that creates an "us vs. them" attitude in the member. The member may be convinced that those outside the group are "sinful", "damned", "unenlightened", "ignorant", etc.

Man, I just have to put it out there:

I’m so happy to have the survivors network. It’s a beautifully run server, by mods who actually give a shit about the information being spread there, who actually give a shit about the users.

I have always felt welcomed there, despite what I can recognize as being polarizing views. I have always found advice and recovery there for the important stuff. I’ve always been taken care of.

I especially want to shout out the admin, @dissociativediscourse . I could never own a server, with all the technical in and outs, of this size - especially with how busy life gets. You always seem so on top of everything, even when I know you’re struggling.

I just out about this post from November. I think this might be the oldest post in the "Sophiecourse" tag. It starts with this screenshot of my post.

The ask itself was super gross.

And... I legitimately thought that was it. I shut them down, and I don't think the anon said anything further.

And then I found this...

Apparently, gender identity is only worth respecting if you explicitly identify as transgender. Otherwise, this is totally acceptable behavior. /s

And just a reminder, we're not in the minority when it comes to having headmates who identify as cis while having headmates of differing AGABs.

This is the overwhelming majority of systems who answered.

But the post still got 13 likes...

Which might not seem like a lot, but it's legitimately surprising to me that 13 people saw that, nodded their heads, and decided this was acceptable discourse because it was against somebody they didn't like.

And yes, I'll say it: misgendering headmates who don't identify by their body's AGAB is transphobia, even if the headmates don't identify as transgender.

It's also pluralphobic, sanist and ableist to try to justify misgendering systems using that as an excuse.

Everything about this post is completely disgusting.

And you know what I just learned... here is a cherry on top.

The system who made the above post is the admin of the Survivor's Network discord server.

Wait... do most people even know about this... I'm going to need a separate section dedicated for this. Well, this post is getting way longer than I meant it to be. I just was going to make a quick post here, but okay! Let's get into this!

The Survivor's Network

For those who aren't aware, there was a bit of discourse several months back with a former member of The Survivors Network who left and started talking about disturbing behavior they witnessed there.

This included multiple users making fake Tupperbox profiles of me to roleplay as me and mock me. And to be clear, the one speaking out on this was anti-endo and very passionately hates me, and whatever was going on there made even them uncomfortable.

They didn't mention the server by name at first, but immediately got several hate asks, as well as people calling them out the Confessions blog. And again, they didn't even name the server by that point. They just said they had been in a server that had done these bad things.

It was only after continued pushing that the user finally named the Survivor's Network as the place responsible.

I... don't like making cult comparisons... but in the days after this user blew the whistle, several major Syscourse blogs started making posts praising the Survivor's Network. I would be lying if I said it wasn't a little creepy as an outsider how the Survivor's Network being barely criticized, not even by name, elicited that type of response. Both the instant praise to prove their allegiance to the group, and the attacks against the whistleblower.

Other anons sent in asks to the whistleblower talking about bullying, toxic and clique-y behavior they witnessed in the Survivor's Network

Ugh...

I legitimately started writing this with no idea of the connection. I just was going to write about this really gross post I found out about. But this does give me a much clearer picture of the Survivor's Network if the admin is saying things like this.

And many of the major syscoursers are part of this group. Especially anti-endos, "neutrals" and "unaligned."

Anyway, if anyone is considering joining The Survivor's Network, I think it's important to know the type of people who run it.

Ugh like 3 weeks ago my husband and i were trying to find some dumb reality show to watch while we were both sick in bed and Deal or No Deal Island seemed like our dumbest option so naturally we went with it, but turns out there were only 3 episodes out AND it has Boston Rob from survivor which means we’re now stuck watching this stupid show weekly. The short answer here is yes. Delia, Michael, and Ethan live civilian lives first and foremost (Ava is...more complicated), but I think they still maintain their contacts in Survivor networks. I don't want to paint them as like...cool spies or some shit with Secret Networks, but they do have like...contacts and people they can reach out to when there's trouble. To me that's just a natural facet of a group of people who experienced a massively traumatic and "othering" life event, that they'd band together and many would maintain some kind of distant contact even years and years on (sources: history, and I am Jewish lol). To me, I picture Survivor Networks as these weird, lopsidedly-interconnected webs of people who are basically running their own semi-self-sufficient Witness Protection program. You can't go making trouble for people, but there's people you can rely on for shelter and help if you need to disappear or need new documents.

I've tried to lightly make reference to this in chapter...five, I believe, of TtVtL, when Ethan has his panic attack in the car. He basically is having this moment of realization that he's like...totally blown his civilian cover wide open, because naturally the BSAA will go investigating into him and his identity as Ethan Winters is not going to hold up under scrutiny, especially since there's nothing more than a very sparsely planted paper trail to even show "Ethan Winters" existed before he was about fifteen, because he....didn't. And if the BSAA/government finds him, they find Delia and Michael (and Ava, possibly). And they potentially find the people they know--a bunch of other survivors living under false names / under new identities as well.

Like, would all these people be in immediate danger if the government got their hands on these names 20 years down the line?? Maybe not necessarily?? Ethan definitely has some level of (well-earned) paranoia towards the BSAA. But I think it's like...complicated overall.

Aaa okay so. To my mind. Quick jump into my own lore bc sorry I'm obsessed with the aftermath of Raccoon City and the fact that it has not been explored in a promising manner in a main game--and no random unlockable DLC documents or a character mentioning something offhandedly doesn't COUNT--in years (aside from remakes buffing things up a little) is a CRIME (fun fact there were some early side-games set from civilian perspectives escaping Raccoon City that were like...semi-canon or canon divergent!! But they're basically never mentioned now because they're not included on main game lineups and they were never remastered and it's fucking impossible to get your hands on a copy of these games now... so they're basically lost?? kind of?? At least unless you have a lot of time and money to go hunting them down and get the consoles necessary to play them).

Right. Lore. So to my brain there's like three main classes of Raccoon City survivors in the 2010s/the beginning of the TtVtL timeline: Public Survivors, Survivor Network Re-homed Survivors, and Underground Survivors.

For background I genuinely believe given the nature of how government and official powers are treated in the original RE games 1-3, corrupt officials would have cooperated with Umbrella to make Raccoon City survivors "disappear." Like sorry the entire thing of the original games is like...sometimes the people in power are the most corrupt and will choose self-interest over the greater good. The most powerful people in the Raccoon City Police Department--Chief Irons and Wesker, the leader of STARS--actively worked for/with Umbrella, and betrayed their own people and left them to die to cover up their crimes. IRONS FUCKING HELPED SMUGGLE ORPHANS TO UMBRELLA FOR TESTING LIKE KDFSJG. Lore in the RE2 remake also suggests the mayor was in on this shit!!!! and Umbrella actively built into the city's sewer systems and their experiments were loose down there--AGAIN suggesting gov officials knew this and just. didn't give a shit.

And RE3's ENTIRE PLOT is like...cover-up. The Nemesis is released on the city, never mind what havoc it reaps, to kill the remaining STARS members who might be able to publicly testify to what happened in the mansion incident (I think LITERALLY only Jill, Barry, Chris, and Rebecca are left as far as STARS members go post-3?). It is pretty outrightly established some of the UBCS, paramilitary soldiers employed by Umbrella, are shooting survivors. And what's the national government's response?? THEY NUKE THE FUCKING CITY?? Supposedly to contain the virus but let's be honest it's probably primarily to take out witnesses to Umbrella's crimes and the government's knowledge of those crimes. The national government was in on this shit. There's plenty of supporting document evidence in RE2 and RE3 in that, and supporting content from later installments (the references in later games to the public trials Umbrella had once this shit came to light and it also became obvious Umbrella had some influence over governing (pharmaceutical) bodies, and like...EVERYTHING ABOUT INFINITE DARKNESS...).

Basically like... I 120% headcanon that the military would have "disappeared" survivors/witnesses of Raccoon City they caught escaping, and locked them up or just...straight up shot them. So I believe there were few, if any, public survivors of Raccoon City who were not already too difficult to disappear (see: the STARS members who would go on to help form BSAA, not that people didn't try like hell to kill them...), or who the government didn't have an interest in keeping alive (see: the government moving and giving new identities to Umbrella scientists who they thought were still useful). The vast majority of people who survived Raccoon City were civilians who went on the lamb, took on new names, and cooperated with one another to establish new identities in other parts of the country/world.

After Umbrella publicly went on trial / some of what happened in Raccoon City came into the public consciousness in the 2000s, I imagine some survivors came forward publicly now that the public eye could somewhat protect them. But these people will be public figures for the rest of their lives, and they're probably still being surveilled... tapped phones, no-fly lists. The government will be watching these people to make sure they don't say anything TOO incriminating--and for those who came publicly forward with the intent to GET rowdy, I again have no doubt some ended up dead or threatened into backing down.

So, again, I think the vast majority of survivors remain under new identities.

I think the third group of survivors (spoilers: people like Ava), are people still actively looking to expose the rest of Umbrella's crimes and the national government's full culpability in what happened. All survivors are leery of the gov, the BSAA, the DSO, Blue Umbrella, etc., but these are the people who are like... these institutions and the people in them who helped cover up what happened or who worked with Umbrella will fucking answer for their crimes. Full exposure. Public outcry. The redacted version the public got is not enough. And these people will do whatever it takes to make this happen--get insurrection-y about it, infiltrate these orgs, leak documents, fuck em. Someone is going to pay. Trial by public opinion, baby.

(To my mind, this movement, while a minority of survivors, has a lot of traction, especially among younger survivors of Raccoon City. And at this point they probably have quiet backing from people who sympathize with their cause but work under more "public facing" fronts. For example, I believe Claire would absolutely be involved in this stuff. We don't have a clear picture of what TerraSave, the nonprofit she works for, does beyond "helping with the civilian catastrophes that result from bioweapon outbreaks" etc etc., but everything about how Claire is written reads as someone who'd go full "fuck you you're going to answer for this." The release of Infinite Darkness wildly supported my headcanons there and padded them out--like girly you work for a nonprofit but you're spending your time investigating cover-ups, harassing public officials you think are in on shit, and trying to convince Leon to leak information on the government's war crimes?? Babes you're not an aid worker, you're a fucking survivor rebel who wants the truth Out There.)

I’m someone who is still in SN and I really don’t understand any of this drama. I was there since the server was created, have been relatively active in there, and I never saw any of this shit people are talking about as if it was this huge thing. That’s not to say the server never had any issues but you’re literally never going to be in a large group without running into occasional triggers or occasional opinions/phrasings that make you uncomfortable. It’s just how being in a big group works.

I find it interesting that you view the server as more anti-endo, though. I agree it was more anti-endo when it first stated. Anti-endo as in disliking endos rather than fakeclaiming them. The entire time in the server I only ever saw a handful of people outright fake claim, and only one time was it towards a specific individual, and the other server members didn’t support that and it got deleted. I personally view the server as pretty pro-endo now. But of course in a casual way because it’s always just been a large group of survivor wanting to talk about their hobbies, share pics of their pets, ask for advice, and receive support when they vent.

People portray it like its discourse headquarters when the discourse channels are entirely optional, and intended for venting. It’s so bizarre to me.

There's absolutely problems with the server but a lot of it was either a) blown way out of proportion or b) literally just false. Like the whole "clique nature of the server" is present in literally every large discord server. People get to know those who talk a lot and new people have a harder time finding a place for themselves. That's just human nature!

As far as being anti endo, I still stand by that, but more of a "critical of the pro endo community" kinda way. While there was criticism towards both sides, there was also a problem with focusing on the more ridiculous claims of the pro endo community while equally ridiculous claims on the anti endo side get labeled as literally too stupid to bring up. I think that's worthy of criticism.

A lot of the hard anti endos in the servers were more along the lines of "I personally don't believe this can happen, but I'm not going to go up to someone and tell them their experience is fake." Which is a more refreshing take than you usually see. But in speaking to them, you do get an idea of the legitimate concerns in the anti endo community. I think in talking about those concerns seriously, the server and individual member did become more pro endo. I even remember a whole conversation about that! Overall, it was a mix of different syscourse opinions, which is something you don't see often.

And yeah, syscourse was so very minor in the server. The thing I actually miss most about it are the game nights and advice sections. I can understand seeing it as the syscourse discord(tm) as that was a major selling point for me and probably a few other people.

I was gonna say something angry but I realized quickly that that wasn’t what I wanted to say. As one of your ex friends I do care, I don’t check on your blog to see how you’re doing because I don’t care. Just because we’re not friends now doesn’t mean I don’t care now or didn’t care then. You’re free to delete this ask/ignore it but I just wanted to say my peace.

This took us weeks to sort our feelings on, so if you are checking Anon- I hope you see this.

First, let us say that we are not talking about anyone we still have as friends on Discord. We are talking almost exclusively about our former friends from the Survivor's Network, mostly mods.

If this is @circulars-reasoning , then you're right. You did care, and we thank you for that. We miss you, and we're sorry you get lumped in with the people you hang out with. We wish things could have been different, but they weren't. Whatever we say, it's not aimed at you. That said, we think it's time we talked about why we left in a more substantial presentation than vague posting. Because if this is a specific *dude*, then you should know how fucked up everything between us was.

Unfortunately, we only ended up modding for the Survivor's Network for a few months. When we joined, it felt like coming home. We had a brilliant mod team, we all had similar views and we worked very well together. We even got a new writing partner out of it. We were on top of the world. Working on the rules, creating a safe space and making things for the anti-endo community just a little more comfortable. Oh, and the voice chats! We had such a great time in those spaces. That's what we miss the most. But the atmosphere changed for us as our new Writing Partner began to enter awkward territory. We are no strangers to flirting and we are not opposed to enacting the rights of our open relationship, but this quickly became uncomfortable and emotionally manipulative. We have long been in silence as they are a huge name on Sysblr and were know no one would believe us over them. We do have receipts but for now we are choosing to keep them to ourselves. If the need is there, they will be released but we'd rather not have to paw through thousands of trumatic messages.

None of this is in any particular order, as our brain is very averse to revisiting the server these things happened in. But we do still have it, it and all the things said in it. We are going to place this list in bullet format and under a cut. You are welcomed to DM us any questions after this, but I doubt we will have straight answers as we're still scared to *actually* name them.

- Made our protective alter feel like a monster.

- Made us feel like we somehow cheated on them if we spoke in the SN before our private server.

- Used a situation I was venting about to try and make me feel bad after they "tried to help" by sending us a car part WITHOUT TELLING US. They used it to make us feel like we had done them wrong when we hadn't even known it was happening.

- Made our partner System feel like they were monsters.

- Tried to convince us that we were either ALL IN the relationship with this person, or all out. As in we either commit or we don't be friends.

- Pressured us to tell them any and every dark thing going on in our mind.

- Pressured us to make sure our protective Alter was never around when they were, shutting down to one word answers when certain alters would appear.

- Generally getting upset when we split new alters.

All of this and more in the space of three months. I cannot go back to the Survivor's Network because this personnas far as I know is still a mod there. They are older than me and manipulative as hell.

So if you *are* still watching my blog please note that your stupid little servers ended me in the hospital and into new psych treayment to deal with the scars you left.

We're are tagging this so it's seen. Ask us whatever, but I will not be giving a name until I can go through mentally and screencap everything. If you're asking yourself "Why now?"- It's because the alter that spit to protect us from this person finally gave us to okay. So here we are, telling the story. Believe me or don't I don't care.

I know it's been a while since I was on that stupid discord server, but with that bracket thing happening, I keep thinking about it. A lot of prominent syscoursers are on and run that discord server.

For anyone completely clueless, there is a discord server that is 18+ (not really sexual just adult only) that is mainly for systems and has system discourse on it. A lot of users who were on that server (mostly anti-endo or endo-critical) are in the brackets.

What I keep thinking about specifically is how there was constant and incessant clownery of a tumblr user I will not name. I sits worse with me the longer I think about it. It would be one thing to call someone out when they say stupid bullshit, but at some point, just block them and ignore them. Don't create a fake profile as them on tupperbox and roleplay as them on your discord server as a characature to mock and belittle.

Idk the exact intentions of whoever is running the brackets, and it seems like fun, but I can't stop thinking about a lot of the participants.
