Started watching severance last night with my mom and HOLY WOW every single shot of that is fucking beautiful, THE CINEMATOGRAPHERS, SET DESIGNERS, AND COSTUME DESIGNERS ARE INSANE LIKE WOW BRO

I point at every camera angle and just freak out. I state this with no insincerity: every single shot of this show is amazing.

The seemingly 80s/90s aesthetic but mixed with so many modern things is jarring in such an amazing way

Minor Spoilers for Severance under the line but nothing past the first episode and not much plot description (mostly just adoring the cinematography)

THE USE OF ORANGES AND BLUES IN NOT ONLY MARKS HOUSE BUT ALSO HIS SISTERS (couldn't find a picture of marks house inside but I recommend watching it)

ALSO the fact that mark's work life and home life is not only mentally separated but physically since his house in on the other side of the river from his work.

the dinner party scene is so interesting because of how weird it is, but also it's use of rule of thirds, but whenever it head on focuses on characters it uses the offset symmetry with the lights and the characters head might be tilted or they might be skewed

The way they act in the office almost sometimes seeming comedic or at least carefree violently contracting with the sadness of their home life (also the interesting almost unreal tint to the office)

She scares me but she's got some coolass shots and also HIM he's cool

It's not fair how captivated I was watching this

Okay I'm done for now but I don't expect this show to get worse so there might be another dump at some point in the future. Also I didn't even rant about the story which is also amazing, but that's for another time...

I'd highly recommend this show just after watching the first episode.

You could hear a soft tune coming from the back of the library you had just walked in. It was a stunning sight, the place filled with books, and the sunlight hitting just the right spots to make the wooden shelves glow. The place wasn't very crowded today, so you felt free, in a way.

Now concentrating on the sounds you could hear, you were able to figure out that what was playing was a Beatles song. However, the record player was too far away for you to sort out the exact song that was playing.

Curious to know which one it was, you walked over to the last book shelf of the library, where the player was located at.

You spotted a boy standing in front of it, bouncing his head slowly to the rythm of what you could now know that was "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

As you approached him, he noticed you and turned around, blushing, hoping you hadn't seen what he had thought was an embarrassing dance.

"D' you like The Beatles?" you asked, trying to start a conversation with the beautiful blue-eyed boy.

Stuttering a bit, he answered, "uh... yes." He couldn't help but look down to avoid your eyes. An excuse would be that he was just analysing the beautiful wooden tiles, but in reality, he was just hiding the redness of his face.

After an awkward pause, he added, "do you like them?"

You smiled at him and nodded your head. You proposed sitting on one of the sofas at the library to chat around about your favourite band.

He hesitantly agreed, and you two talked for what seemed like an hour, but ended up being much more than that, when you noticed the now dark sky outside.

You had to leave, so you grabbed a small piece of paper you found on your pocket, and borrowed a pen from the librarian. You handed the boy, that you now knew was named Todd, the paper, where you had written your name and phone number, with a smiley face.

He smiled shyly as he read the information, and waved as you left, hoping this would be the first of many times he'd see you.

p.s. he definitely wanted to Hold Your Hand.

Ok so is the most simple way i can put this is that me and @moss-and-marimos as well as a deactivated mutual of ours are ancient turtle yokai living with humans when me and tottle (deactivated mutual) stumbled upon the turtle babies in which we are raising ourselves. Also @t0ast-ghost is their uncle/babysitter so that’s cool too.

you do it so much that this is how that the bau discover that you're together

Seventeen minutes. That was how long your hand had now been on Spencer’s thigh. Derek was watching from the back seat, timing it from the very moment he noticed it.

For years, the team had watched you and Spencer play that song and dance of two best friends. Close, almost to an inappropriate degree for friendship. The average outsider would have to assume that the two of you were in your honeymoon phase of a real relationship. To the team, that’s just how the two of you were.

But a few weeks ago, the team noticed a strange shift in the air. None of them could put a finger on it, but they all agreed something felt different. So while last week Derek would’ve seen that and chalked it up to another exhibit of your overly-close friendship, he now looked at it and saw something else.

He nudged Emily, who was angrily sandwiched in the middle between him and Hotch, for a second opinion. Before she could bite his head off for that elbow in her side, Derek tipped his head in the direction of the front seat. Her eyes followed.

Emily confirmed with a sly smirk exactly what Derek thought he was seeing. You had, in fact, just slipped your hand over Spencer’s leg and left it there. It looked like you didn’t even realize you were doing it. And then, only a couple minutes later, Spencer put down the map that he was reading your directions off of, folded it up in his lap, and slipped his hand over yours. Like it was a reflex.

They said nothing.

That happened only six minutes into the drive and they wanted to see how long it could go on. Even Hotch caught wind of what his other two agents were gawking at, and though he mentally refused to partake, he wondered which of the team was going to be right about you two.

He knew that Emily’s theory was that you’d been Reid dating in secret for at least six months. Penelope didn’t agree with that; she claimed Spencer would have to tell her about it. If not for the fact that they don’t keep secrets from each other, then surely because he would’ve asked for some dating advice.

Derek also disagreed with the secret relationship theory, but for different reasons. He had faith that Spencer had some pull when it came to dating – particularly, with you, because who else would laugh at his corny jokes like that? – but he didn’t believe Spencer was dating you. As much as it looked like it, and you acted like it, Derek thought that most likely, you were both too dumb to even realize you were in a relationship with each other.

There are no points for guessing which of the three were correct. It was, in fact, Derek.

Neither of you knew.

Looking back, you should’ve known given that you spent all of your free time with Spencer.

Going to the movies with Spencer. Going out to dinner with Spencer. Watching Spencer play chess in the park. Shopping for books with Spencer and eventually dragging him to the other stores in the mall and making him buy all the sweaters you thought he’d look good in.

You went on a thousand and one dates with him and never knew that that was what you were doing.

But at the very least, this one particular intimacy of yours was traceable to its origin. Technically, it started on the drive home from a visit to the Smithsonian, but the seeds were sown earlier in the day.

As you walked from one exhibit to another, Spencer squeaked out when some shiny object caught his eye. You could barely understand what got him so excited, so he quickly grabbed your hand and pulled you along to go look at it, sneakers skidding loudly against the tile as he tried not to run to it. When you got there, a little out of breath and still confused - it was just a hunk of metal from an airplane - you didn’t let go of his hand.

Instead, you mindlessly weaved your fingers with his and held it tighter, neither of you realizing you were still joined together.

It was only when you left did you think about it, in the brief second that you had to separate in order to get inside the car from opposite sides. Even then, it was awkward for only a moment. When you had to wiggle your hand free from his as you went around to the driver’s seat. He didn’t leave you to wonder for too long - as soon as you were buckled in, he took your hand again. Bringing it to rest on his left thigh, playing with your fingertips as he talked excitedly about the day.

And every day since then, he’s done the same thing. Get in your car, hold your hand. Mindlessly fidget with your fingers, or rub little patterns into the back of your palm, while he talked or just listened.

Whatever number this one took on the long list of intimacies you shared, it was just one you didn’t ever second-guess with him. Maybe it could be chalked up to the fact that it all felt so natural? That transition from just two coworkers to friends; from friends to best friends; and from that to… whatever this was.

This was the reason you didn’t ask questions. This was things like your hand on his thigh, his slipped on top, and his thumb tracing lazy circles over the back of your palm. Like spending all your time with him and having your own wealth of little habits. You didn’t know, either, if you and Spencer were dating, and you didn’t care. What you did know was that this made you happy, and that was enough.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that maybe people have had not great experiences with Angel T0ast that aren't the fault of the person that paid her to perform a service? And that they haven't come forward because they are afraid of being attacked by the community? Even though I haven't been able to find the post that started her going all out on instagram trying to defend herself (I've looked but I can't seem to locate it with the information I currently have) I give major props to whoever it was that came forward. That took a lot of nerve, more than I have, to speak of your experience. I'm sorry you are dealing with the hate from a community of people that just defend their favorites no matter what. For my personal experience I used to commission her almost exclusively and stopped a few years ago when my commission was just so far from what I expected and hoped. But I was scared to say anything because I was afraid of having the community turn against me and everyone defend Angel T0ast's side. I had sent two heads to her and I followed the tracking of the heads like a hawk because I am always paranoid shipping out dolls. The heads arrived to her PO box and sat there. And sat there. And sat there. They were at the PO box so long that there was a warning when viewing tracking that they were going to be sent back to me if they weren't picked up soon. She did pick them up in time that that didn't happen but I legitimately got worried they were going to be sent back by the post office. Beyond that my requests were not filled. On one head I asked for muted dusky colors and got vibrant pinks and purples. On my other head I'll admit I wasn't as descriptive as I should have been and made a request for a natural mischievous boy and he ended up looking, hate to say it, like a very pretty sweet and gentle girl. I didn't complain to her when she sent me photos because I am a push over that always assumes it is my fault and doesn't like to complain and be a bother. I just sat quietly unhappy with the new look of my dolls. However, since that experience I have talked privately with two other people through DMs that have had similar experiences. Asking for a certain brow color and getting something totally different. Asking for a lip color and getting something totally different. And they DID complain after getting the photos and Angel T0ast just fought with them. I personally don't plan on ever commissioning her again. And I have felt GUILTY on several occasions after hearing of other bad experiences people have had because I still post my dolls I was happy with that she painted years ago regularly and I worry by posting them I am encouraging people to commission her and they could end up having a bad experience. Add to that my wait times were much like the ones she outlined in her defensive blog post to the person that complained. My commission ended up taking about a month longer than I was told it would. This however was not at the beginning of this year like the person who complained. It was a few years ago at this point. I understand that things come up that can cause this to happen. I'm not upset about the wait time I'm just pointing out that a few years ago she was similarly behind. If I had to guess? I think she is taking on more than she can handle. I think maybe cutting back on the number of slots she takes each month might help since it almost seems like in some instances she could be mixing up requests.
