1: stars shine more darkly (wip: canon-compliant regulus, pt.2 of 3)

This was not Regulus’s first funeral.

2: [untitled ted/andromeda] (wip: canon-compliant ted/andromeda getting together)

A late summer breeze drifts through Cadogan Square and into Andromeda’s bedroom on the third floor of the Black-Rosiers’ London dwelling. It rustles the stack of neatly-cut parchment on her desk and she turns, quickly, to dart over to secure it before the unruly breeze can send her old sixth-year revision notes scattering across the bedroom.

3: [untitled flower shop/tattoo parlour au] (wip: regulus/diana getting together possible muggle au)

The bell above the shop door tinkles. Regulus doesn’t bother to look up from his sketchbook - it’s a Sunday afternoon, which means Mrs Ackerman will want to have a browse of his discounted blooms before he closes for his odd Monday-Tuesday ‘weekend’ in an hour or so. 

4: [untitled first wizarding war] (wip: regulus survives; regulus & sirius & narcissa & walburga povs)

They’ve been told to meet him by the old abandoned lighthouse. 

5: december, 1983 (complete: regulus/diana, regulus lives au)

Regulus hears hurried steps echoing in the stairwell. He is not alarmed; the past eleven years of communal living would have beaten such concerns out of him, even if he couldn’t recognise the steps. Diana is always in a rush to climb the stairs, her heeled boots thud-thud-thudding on each step, and is just as slow to descend them again. Regulus likes to think it’s because she’s eager to see him and reluctant to leave. It’s one of the things he loves most about her.

6: i am terribly sorry for dying (complete: ghost regulus keeps a diary)

I thought, once, that equating death with sleep was mere poetic exuberance. A romanticisation, of sorts. A way to ease the common wizard’s fears about the ever-looming end of his life. But now that I am dead - or rather, now that I am half-dead, no longer living, merely lingering - I know that the poets were right. Death is sleep. And a ghost is an insomniac.

7: stars shine darkly (complete: canon-compliant regulus, pt.1 of 3)

The steam twisted around him, winding into shimmering emerald spirals. It rose out of the bath in the form of hazy, misty manticores and hippogriffs, dragons and sea serpents, a snarling chimaera that charged into the tiled wall and burst into a thousand pearlescent curls. 

8: is this hell? (completeish: regulus lives au)

"Master Regulus!" He burns. Everything burns. Fiendfyre is rushing through his body, consuming him from the inside out. The flames lick at his throat and he scratches at it, claws at his own feverish skin, desperate for some release.

9: the cave (complete: ghost regulus lingers in the cave)

He’d never meant for it to happen like this.

10: the end of the line (complete: snapshots from sirius's life in front of the tapestry)

Sirius sits back on his heels, folds his arms, and inspects his handiwork.  “I need something blue,” he announces.
