Hey guys!!! So this is a request from @honeyxmonkey about Hugo meeting Hector and Adira for the first time I personally like and see Hugo and Varian as friends than a couple but I got this request and I really love @honeyxmonkey so I did this for you 💕 I really hope you like it and turned out the way you wanted because I never have written a story like this 😊 sorry it’s longer than I wanted lol 😂

HUGO MEETS ADIRA AND HECTOR

It had been a few months since Varian came back to corona from his adventure to find the Eternal Library, Varian was happy to be home with his family and friends, most of his friends had met Hugo already and so did his dad they seemed to like him they didn’t tell Varian otherwise, but the only ones that were left for Hugo to meet was his Aunt and Uncle Adira and Hector he didn’t know how they were going to react about Hugo having a relationship with him.

Varian heard a knock on his lab door “come in” Varian said. “Hey Hairstripe!” Hugo said entering Varian lab. “Oh hey Hugo, what are you doing here?” Varian asked him. “I came to see if you wanted to go out for a walk with me and take a break from your work?” Hugo stated. “Ugh yeah sure I could use a break” Varian said. Varian put down his Alchemy stuff and grabbed his bag Ruddiger scurried up to Varian shoulders and they were ready. “You Ready Hairstripe?” Hugo asked Varian.

“Ready as I’ll ever be” Varian stated. They left his lab and started walking around corona Varian saw Adira and Hector walking towards him, “Hey Varian!” Adira shouted waving from afar. Varian didn’t know what to do he didn’t expect them to meet Hugo this way, Varian took a deep breath. Hugo turned to Varian he saw that he was nervous, “you ok Hairstripe?” Hugo asked him. But before Varian could answer him Hugo saw two people dressed in animal skin clothing waving and coming towards them.

“Who are they?” Hugo asked Varian, “they are my uncle and aunt” Varian answered. “I was planning on introducing you to them in a better way like at my house but I guess it’ll be this way” Varian said to Hugo putting his hand behind his head.

Adira and Hector finally caught up to them, “Hey Nephew” Hector said giving Varian a big hug. Hector wasn’t much of a hugger but he was when it came to Varian, Hector let go of Varian and turned to look at Hugo, “Varian who is this?” Hector asked Varian.

“Umm thi...this is Hugo my best friend he helped me get to the Eternal Library and accomplish what my mom had started”. Varian stated to his uncle he didn’t want to break the news to his uncle or aunt just yet that him and Hugo were together he wanted to see how they reacted first.

Hugo stretched out his hand to Hector, “I’m Hugo it’s nice to meet you” Hugo said trying to shake Hectors hand but Hector didn’t put his hand out for Hugo to shake it. Hugo retracted his hand feeling a bit nervous and a bit awkward. Adira looked at Hugo analyzing him from top to bottom, “I’m Adira Varian aunt” Adira said putting her hand out to shake Hugo’s hand. Hugo took a min to process and stretched out his hand to return the shake. “Nice to meet you” Hugo said.

Varian was shocked he knew his aunt was not much a people person especially if they were trying to get close to Varian Adira and Hector were very protective of him. Once the introductions were done Hector looked at Varian, “where were you guys off too?” Hector asked Varian. “We were just out for a walk taking a break from work” Varian answered sheepishly. Hector just stared at Varian “oh that’s nice I guess” Hector responded.

Adira saw that Varian was very uneasy she knew he just wanted the approval from his aunt and uncle. “Hey Varian, How about tomorrow You and Hugo come with me and Hector and spend the day together?” Adira asked Varian. Varian paused trying to process what his aunt just asked him it would be nice that way they get to know Hugo but he had a project that Rapunzel gave him and he had to finish it.

“Umm... that would be nice Aunt Adira but I have a project the princess gave me and I have to have it done by tomorrow so I can’t” Varian answered sheepishly. Adira gave a look to her brother Hector, “That’s ok Nephew we understand” Adira said to Varian. Adira turned to Hugo, “how about you Hugo, Do you want to spend the day with us tomorrow?” Adira asked Hugo giving him a look. Hugo looked at Varian not really sure what he should answer, Varian just glanced at Hugo giving him a face that he always made when he wanted Hugo to accept something.

Hugo looked back at Adira “Sure I would like that” Hugo said to Adira, “Great see you tomorrow Hugo, and we’ll see you soon Varian” Adira said to Hugo and Varian, pointing her finger to a different direction so her brother could follow her. Varian waved bye to them as they left “wow so that went well” Hugo said to Varian “yeah I guess, but now you have to go out with them tomorrow” Varian said with a bit of worry in his voice.

“Hey Hairstripe” Hugo said to Varian putting a hand on his shoulder “I will do my best to make your aunt and uncle like me, no matter what I have to do, no one can break the relationship we have with each other” Hugo assured Varian pulling him into a hug. Varian returned the hug and smiled at Hugo.

Hugo got up and got ready so he could spend the day with Adira and Hector, He was nervous because he knew how much it meant to Varian that his aunt and uncle accept him so he would look his best and be on his best behavior today. It would be hard because he’s not used to acting like that but he would do anything for Varian. Hugo left and waited at the market for Adira and Hector to meet him. Adira and Hector arrived it to long after Hugo did, “Ok Hugo you can do this” Hugo told himself calming himself down. Adira and Hector approached Hugo “you ready” Adira asked Hugo. Hugo hesitated for a bit “ye..yes” Hugo answered shyly.

They made their way to the wall that lead outside of corona Hugo hadn’t been outside of the corona walls since he came to corona with Varian. Hugo didn’t know where they were taking him but he hoped it wasn’t somewhere that no one could find him if something happened. “So how did you meet Varian?” Adira asked Hugo.

Hugo debated If he should have told them the truth that he only met Varian to use him to get the totems and then betray him because of Donella but changed sides when he fell for Varian. Hugo shook those thoughts away, “I met Varian when he was trying to find the Eternal Library and to try to free his mom” Hugo answered omitting certain truths. Adira kept quiet, “Were here” Adira said.

Hugo looked at where they were he was in the middle of the forest nothing really in sight “what are we doing here?” Hugo asked. “Well we wanted to get to know you and to find out what your real I intentions are for Varian, but mostly found out what your intentions are” Hector said pulling out his sword. Hugo flinched for a second stepping back from Hector he thought they brought him out here to kill him but Adira intervened “Now brother we don’t want to scare the only friend Varian has” Adira told Hector putting her hand on his sword putting it away.

Hugo was relieved he thought Hector was going to hurt him. Adira then pulled out her sword and tossed it at Hugo, Hugo caught it with a confused look on his face “do you know how to fight with a sword?” Adira asked Hugo. “Well I’m more of an Alchemist that a sword fighter but I have used one before” Hugo answered “well let see how good you are then” Adira said. She grabbed another sword she got in position, Hugo didn’t know what was going on Varian did warn him that they were very different than his other friends but Hugo just tried to go along with it and grabbed the sword firmly and got in attack position.

Adira attacked first she swung her sword at him and Hugo just kept dodging it putting the sword in front of him blocking the blade from scratching him he stared to fight back with the sword Adira gave him he lunged at adira and swung the blade at her Adira dogged his techniques “why are you really with Varian? What are your real intentions Hugo?” Adira asked while she kept lunging at him “I don’t have any intentions I care for Varian I would never do anything to hurt him” Hugo said fighting back and trying to dodge Adira’s blade.

“Is that so? Then why are you not telling me the truth I know your hiding something” Adira told Hugo her sword agent his sword “I am not hiding anything” Hugo answered pushing Adira back “for a guy who never fought with a sword your doing pretty good” Adira commented to Hugo. Hugo stood perplexed “tha...thanks” Hugo said. Adira lunged once again, Hugo not paying attention she tripped him and he fell to the ground and his sword fell from his hand Adira stood over Hugo and took the sword and pointed it at Hugo’s throat.

Hugo just looked at Adira with his eyes wide, Adira just smiled and put her sword away and stretched her hand and helped Hugo get up, “thanks” Hugo said. “I wasn’t going to hurt you” Adira told Hugo. Hugo just smiles not knowing what to say or do next, Hector went over to Hugo “we know you and Varian are in a relationship” Hector said. Hugo’s eyes widen Varian told him that he didn’t say anything about their relationship, “How did you know” Hugo asked them.

“we can tell how you guys act around each other” Adira said “we just want to make sure Varian is protected and out of danger” Hector said. “is that why you guys made me come out here so you can see if I can protect myself and Varian?” Hugo asked. “Yes, you are pretty good with a sword” Adira complimented Hugo. “But we need to make sure you are telling the truth because of you are lying to us and Varian gets hurt we will hunt you down” Hector said with a serious tone.

Hugo looked at them and he knew they meant it *sights* “okay you guys deserve to know the truth” Hugo said with a sigh. “Varian was on his way to get the second totem to unlock the Eternal Library, I worked for a women named Donella she kinda raised me, I was an orphan most of my life due to a horrible mistake I made when I was younger she raised me and taught me how to be a thief I would steel for her whatever she wanted in exchange for her taking care of me, Anyway she wanted me to get the totems but for me to do that I had to pretend to be Varian friend and get him to trust me, but the more I spent time with Varian and got to know him the more I fell for him and how kind he was to accept me, Anyway I betrayed Donella, and she went after Varian and me but we defeated her and Varian accomplished his mission and he invited me to stay in corona with him” Hugo told them finishing his story “I would never do anything to hurt Varian I love him, and I’ll do whatever it takes to protect Varian” Hugo told them with a stern look that he meant it.

Hector and Adira looked at each other they both smiled at Hugo “Ok, As long as you make Varian happy and he trusts you then we will too” Adira said giving Hugo a smile. Hugo didn’t know what to say all he could do was smile back at them “Thank you, Adira and Hector” Hugo said with a smile. “Now let’s get you back home” Adira said stretching her hand to Hugo to lift him up, Hugo grabbed her hand and stood up and they made their way back to Corona. Adira and Hector waved bye to Hugo and went their separate ways.

Hugo made his way to go see Varian because he promised to tell Varian what happened today, Hugo knocked on the door of Varian lab. Varian opened the door “Hugo!” Varian said giving him a hug. Hugo returned the hug, “How was it? Did they hurt you?” Varian asked Hugo. “No they didn’t hurt me it went well I would say” Hugo said with a smirk. Varian smiled at Hugo “I’m glad, do they like you now?” Varian asked him. “Yes they actually found out about us being together and we’re fine with it, as long as I don’t hurt you... hehe” Hugo said sheepishly. Varian smiled “yeah they are very protective with me” Varian said with a smile. Hugo started at Varian and pulled him in a hug “I love you Varian” Hugo said hugging Varian tight “I love you too Hugo” Varian replied with a tighter hug.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this like I said I don’t really ship them together hence probably why it didn’t come out so good but I really hope you enjoyed it I though it was fun Adira and Hector meeting Hugo for the first time 😊 let me know what you guys think???
