A Beastars Story

“The Thrill Of Chaos”

Story attributes: the main character breaks the forth wall and those will be indicated in blue, the story is gender neutral.

Warning: this story is violent, it is not a love story, swear words are involved, use of weaponry, it is a long story so for the full effect please read during your free time

“Y/n!! Over here! Y/n” jack called signaling you to join him and legoshi. Y/n had just transferred to cherryton academy and they had no issue blending in with both carnivores and omnivores they were just found of jack and his friends so y/n found themselves hanging out with them more often it was unnatural as y/n was considered beautiful from their white fur to their black eyes and their perfectly sculpted body and silk-like long and fluffy tail , the white fox species was rare in these parts of the world so the other students couldn’t help but stare.

Y/n sat with jack intently listening to him even though most of what they said was just a rant, legoshi had several thoughts on y/n he wondered why they didn’t wear their natural scent instead of perfume and why were they so quiet and why did they find jack interesting he had a stereotypical belief that pretty girls would relish in this kind of nonstop attention, he stared at them intently but was quickly stared away as soon as they stared back, y/n had an intimidating no one could fully explain it sent chills to omnivore and small carnivores and most times big male characters but it irked big female carnivores. “So, y/n do you want to hang out on the roof with us tonight? I promise it will be fun” jack said feel a hostile tension in the air, he felt like he was breaking up a fight and more importantly he felt like legoshi was scared of y/n?. “I’m sorry jack, I can’t tonight I have something to take care of” y/n said in a low tone, jack grabbed their shoulders in a pleading manner “oh please y/n Im begging you, you only hang out with us in school and then vanish after, can’t you take care of it later” jack whined, practically burying his face in your chest. “Im sorry jack I wish I could, speaking of which I have to get going now” y/n said stroking his head, “right now? Seriously” jacked cried “ seriously jack, sorry buddy, I’ll make it up to you soon don’t worry”. Y/n stood up “bye jack, bye legoshi” y/n said adjusting their bag on their person, the 2 boys in unison said “bye y/n” and you walked away, heading for the gates of the school.

Getting to the bus station y/n pulled out their phone and the message read ‘new targets acquired snowflake, the balance will be transferred to your account once the job has been completed, let’s stay in touch’ looking at their phone a small smile appeared forcing their lips to quiver, at a hotel, y/n waited for their instructions, once they got them they would set out for work.

Sitting at a bar drinking water while intently looking at their phone. A male tiger approached them, clearly drunk but still sober enough to talk, walk and understand his surroundings his desires just seemed to be acted out without self control, “hey baby, I can show you a good time come with me” y/n looked away in a blushing manner, the man continued his advancements “if you want I’ll pay you, trust me I have all the money to fulfill all your desires baby” y/n looked at him blushing “really?… no I can’t” and then walked away in a shy manner, the man followed them into an alley, upon reaching the ally the man saw no sight of the white fox woman he had made advancements on, her disappearance scared him so he pulled out a gun and open fire at random spots in the alley, behind him y/n appeared with a dagger, “don’t come any closer I’ll shoot” he screamed, y/n walked ever so gracefully and placed their forehead on the gun, filled with fear he pulled the trigger and the look on his face told y/n that he had realised that he was out of bullets, and they smiled, the man fell to his knees, “please, what do you want? Money! Done! Whatever you want, please don’t kill me” he pleaded, “is that how your victims begged before you killed them”, the man continued pleading “I’ll never hurt anyone again, I’ll pay you double what you earn, please just tell me what you want”, y/n replied “hmm I think I want…. The life of every woman and child you raped and killed, bring them back” the man stared fearfully “please anything” the man whimpered, y/n firmed the grip on her dagger “any last words” the tiger’s gaze turned mean “you bitch! Others will come for you” the tiger yelled, “ok then….well the governor sends his regards” y/n replied and in one merciless swipe they slit the throat of the tiger. Standing on the blood of the tiger y/n pulled out her phone and texted your and said “if I knew I would be done this early I would have stuck with jack’s plan”. Another message popped up ‘good job snowflake your country thanks you, the balance has been sent and to show my appreciation I have another job for you to do in an hour, it’s a big job with an even bigger pay, I need you to’- “take out a fucking mob?!!! 😫 but I just got this dress 😒 fine, I’ll do the shitty job but it won’t be pretty for the clean up crew”. (Clean up crew are the essential members that partner with the governments underground assassin organisation, their responsibility is to erase all evidence of the execution within 5 hours, clean up crews are divided into teams of 5, failure to fulfil their duties they also will be privately executed, however, special cases are often imprisoned).

Y/n arrive at a warehouse and once she enters the building they stuck out like a sore thumb all attention was immediately on them, they elegantly curtsied and spoke “you will all die tonight, I hope each and everyone of your soul have a passing”, irritated, one of the men walked towards them and grabbed them on the shoulder and in turned they received a knife to the jaw, throat and heart, the men began loosing their patience 3 men walked towards y/n, they grabbed one of them, stuck a knife in his head and stole his gun to shoot the other 3 men, they retrieved their knife from the skull of their victim and began the fight, using the men’s own weapons against their targets, y/n skilfully moved their body to destroy their enemy attack strategy and kill off the enemy. After 30 minutes, standing in a big puddle of blood y/n texted their boss and checked their account balance. Before placing a call 📞 “hey jack, are you guys still on the rough….. ok good, cause it looks like I may joins you” . Y/ n cut the call and looked at the readers “Do I have to spell it out to you guys, I’m an assassin, what did you expect me to be doing, anyways that doesn’t matter, this suits me, being bathed in blood like this, this is what I crave, yes I do feel bad about lying to my friends but I’m a fox.. a sly fox, I’m cunning, get used to it cause there’s so much they don’t know about me but on the contrary I know everything about them, let’s get one thing straight I don’t kill for fun, these are assignments sent to me by the government and people I do kill definitely deserve it, rapists, murders, drug and meat dealers, sex traffickers and the list goes on, when the government needs an offender to disappear quietly, they send them over to me, the pay is good but the justice is even sweeter, humility isn’t my strong suit, I am freaking awesome at my job”.

“Y/n?!” A large wolf wearing a facial expression of fear and surprise on his face called. Y/n immediately turned over to see-“legoshi?!” Before Anything else could be said by y/n, legoshi too off running, further into the warehouse, y/n looked at the reader and said “ok this was not part of the plan” after a while of playing tag, y/n managed to corner him “easy beasty I won’t hurt you, easy, there we go….yeah deep breathes, just like that” legoshi clinging to the wall baring his fangs in fear, began to calm down and soon enough he regained his naturally calm composure and began to inaudibly rant about what he had seen, y/n’s ears began to twitch “shhh… do you hear that”, legoshi responded “hear what??”. Y/n glared at the wolf “no point” with that said y/n delivered a roundhouse kick to the head of the wolf, knocking him out.

Legoshi opened his eyes, he couldn’t move, his hands and legs were bound to a chair, his eyes scanned the room in a panic state. He thought back to the way y/n glared at him, he was terrified but at the same time he felt confident that he would live, his thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice, his captor “you are up, finally” y/n got up from a sofa behind him and massaged their neck, and tightened the hoodie wrapped around their waist whilst making their way to the wooden chair in front of legoshi “man, I had no idea you would be so heavy”. Y/n took a sit on the wooden chair and in the light legoshi could see them clearly, they were wearing a black tank top, this allowed legoshi to clearly see the scratches and injuries y/n had sustained in their last mission which made him blush and stare away, y/n noticed this “what! What is it?” Legoshi replied “y-y-our injuries”, y/n tilted their head to see what he was talking about “oh! Don’t worry, these will heal in due time”, truth was that he admired strong people, “God damn it legoshi why did you have to stick your big nose in my business”, legoshi looked up and began to struggle with the binds that held him down “what are you going to do to me?”, y/n looked offended and slapped the wolf “what am I going to do to you?! You don’t even realise what you have gotten yourself into! You could not even begin to imagine how complex the situation is, you aren’t just fighting me it’s the government now! If I were to follow protocols you should be dead by now!! If we stayed at the warehouse any longer the clean up crew would have seen you a bounty would have been placed on your head!! Fuck! I have to find a way around this but how!!” Legoshi still panting from the slap he received “the government?! What did they have to do with any of this”, y/n looked at the wolf irritated at his naivety and slapped him again “NEVER MIND ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT AND FOCUS ON YOUR GOD DAMN LIFE!!” They take a step back to finish panting “look my original plan was to knock you out and make this all seem like a dream but instead let’s make a holy promise”, legoshi stared blankly at the fox “a holy promise???” Y/n turned to the readers “ yes a jolly promos, see in my organisation a holy promise is a vow made between mainly 2 people if either of the promise participants break the promise the other person must kill them it is usually bond by a contract and blood signatures and all workers of high ranks have them and those guys include me” “Yes a holy promise, cut your finger and use it to sign here” legoshi did as instructed and made sure he thought it through, he pulled the condition that he received combat training from y/n personally in secret. Y/n looked at the readers again “a motive, I can work with that”. “Agreed” and the contract was sealed.

From that day things became y/n continued her job and legoshi began training, you were able to take on more jobs thanks to legoshi covering for you, it didn’t take long for your boss to clock your the new reason for your work ethic and it didn’t help that the warehouse had cameras clearly showing evidence of you dragging an unconscious legoshi across the road and into a car, y/n looked at the readers “God damn it” your boss spoke “ y/n explain yourself” they took a deep breath and spoke “the wolf works for me now, he may know about my job but he helps, it’s quite useful having someone on the inside cover for my a sense” y/n boss sounding more concerned spoke again “and if he abandons his promise to betrays you??” Y/n replies with a grin “no one breaks out of a holy promise and lives to tell the story, he’ll be quiet, he values his life even though he doesn’t act like it” y/n’s boss sinks into his chair “I don’t like this y/n, not one bit, if news about our organisation gets out then we’ll be done for, there will be chaos spread across the country” y/n presses their hands on the table and leans in pointing their nose in the air to breathe in heavily “I know… isn’t it exhilarating, the thrill of chaos, don’t you just love the risk”. Their boss tries to speak once more “listen y/n I’m really trying here but you’re-” y/n cuts in leaning even further into the table “there wont be any issue…can I go now” y/n’s boss didn’t want to deal with what comes after y/n’s death glare and just signalled them to leave.

At a combat training lesson with legoshi, they both normally used y/n’s hideout or open spaces in the woods however today y/n decided they would train on school grounds y/n had managed to convince the coach of the martial arts club, this was happening due to y/n’s busy schedules during and after school , legoshi’s foot work had improved he had his height that gave him an advantage however he had not learned to coordinate his tail to his movements which led to a lot of falls when imitating your moves and he was hesitant in all his hits which made him constantly loose, y/n would tell him that there are many opportunities to search for the good with your opponent but it is never during the fight, legoshi was also not creative with his environment so he couldn’t make a weapon out of everything like y/n he just saw it as it was (for example in y/n’s eyes a pen can be a dagger in legoshi’s eyes a pen is a pen), which brings us back to the combat training of this day on school grounds legoshi and y/n where fighting, legoshi’s tail moving on its own tripped y/n, legoshi rushed to help them but fell as well on top of y/n, perfect timing haru had walked in with the intention of bringing legoshi lunch walked in to see him in a scandalous position with y/n of all people, in shock haru dropped her bag and began to cry, y/n and legoshi quickly got up, haru ran over to you and used her tiny fists to continuously hit y/n’s very toned abdominal muscles then she ran off crying and legoshi followed, y/n was sure a rumour would begin they got out of the ring to grab a towel, their phone, water bottle, and a cigarette, a message popped on their phone ‘new targets acquired snowflake, the balance will be transferred to your account once the job has been completed, let’s stay in touch’ Y/n smiled, appearing from the shadows a familiar dear walked out offering a a lighter to y/n, y/n maintained her smile and let Louis light the cigarette, they drew in the substance and breathed out its smoke “there is nothing more exciting than the thrill of chaos”. Louis replied “I agree, I’ve been watching you y/n” y/n looked at him “I know you have, you slipped up at the warehouse, but of course you must have known I knew you were playing spy with me even before that incident that brought legoshi into the picture” Louis chuckled “I didn’t expect any less from you ‘snowflake’ let’s keep in touch” he held his hand out to y/n, y/n replied “I wouldn’t have it any other way” placing their hand on Louis’s hand, Louis brought the hand to his face and graciously kissed it, y/n puffed out smoke in his face in a cocky manner, Louis grinned and walked in the direction from which he had come from.

Tao hummed as Filo dispelled her cloud, they had made it back before curfew, thankfully. "So, how come you can figure stuff out so quick?", he asked. Filo shrugged. "I just learnt to listen and pierce things together. Read a bunch of detective books as a kid in the library and so, and listened well to the people around me. Most things are hidden in plain sight or jarringly obvious once the red thread comes through", she smirked, "Like you and your little crush on a certain blond explosive~" Tao blushed, starring at Filo with wide eyes. "I- I don't have a crush on Bakugo!" He didn't. The other boy just made him feel strange because he acted strange. Filo chuckled. "Yeah, just not~ Your little crush there is as obvious as mine on Amajiki-san~" she sighed "Which is fitting given both guys are blind to it. Not even in that department lives grants us the easy way." Tao groaned, but couldn't disagree on this. Whatever they had done in their past live, karma really was out for them in this one. It was really not fair. "Come on, let's get inside before Ida ends up throwing a fit. There are beds in there with our names on, and I can hear mine call my name", Filo said, patting Tao's back and leading him inside.

Just above them, the Bakusquad was sitting in their namesake's room, trying very hard to make him accept he had a crush on Tao. Accepting a gay crush was already hard, but if your name was Katsuki Bakugo, you were obviously blind and deaf to love. Which made it not at all frustrating to Mina, Sero, Denki and Eijiro to explain. Which they had done the last three hours. Their mouths started to hurt. If he just wasn't so darn stubborn!

A few houses farther, Neijire Hado was about to strangle her classmate and friend. It had taken ages and a very good prep-talk courtesy of her and Mirio to get Tamaki to accept he was indeed worthy of being loved romantically by others. Now to get him to accept that an underclass girl had a crush on him proofed equally difficult, with how much he put himself down. The last three hours she had spent telling him it was true. Her mouth started to hurt.

The next morning was tiring. Getting up early, doing a daily routine and hopefully getting to class on time. "Today we'll be out training. Head to the lockers and out to the field. I'll pair you all up. Oh and also, the big three will be scouting." Aizawa said, eyes heavy and tired as per usual. The class had mixed reactions. Some cheered at the word 'training', others slinked back in their seats with a sigh. Tao did the latter. He was one of the last to leave, next to Filo. "I hate training..I hope to be up against Mineta or something.." Tao thought back to when he was paired with the small pervert. He easily kept beating him, with only his tail. It was the only time Aizawa paired them together. "You told me you only use a small percentage of your power when using your quirk during training. Why not use more, it can help win." Filo asked. Tao looked away, fingers fidgeting with his tail. He'd always be cautious to not use too much of his quirk. If he did, he could lose all control and not be able to stop himself if he became overwhelmed with emotions. "Don't want to end up hurting someone badly..I can blackout when using a lot of power, which means a lot of destruction." He tried to explain. Filo hummed and nodded. Training and getting used to using more power was a must for him.

As they went to the locker rooms, they parted ways. Tao kept his head down as he went to his locker and hurriedly changed. He didn't miss Iida scolding Mineta for once again, being a creep, as well as not missing hearing some tease a very angry looking Bakugou. He glanced to see Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari messing with him. He looked away and finished changing, stuffing his uniform in his locker before heading out. "Tao!" Kirishima grinned as he jogged up to him. The redhead beamed with excitement, as per usual. "Hi Eijiro, something the matter?" He asked. He shook his head. He walked with him out to the field, where Aizawa and a few girls stood waiting. "We should hang out more yknow. You always with Filo!" Tao blushed in embarrassment, glancing away. "Ah- sorry..I usually hang out with her. I wouldn't mind hanging though.." Kirishima only grinned more, practically buzzing with excitement. They made their way to where everyone else stood. Tao saw an evident blush on Filo's face. He looked to see Mirio, Amajiki, and Neijire talking a bit away. Tao smiled and softly laughed into his hand. "Do you think you can train with him watching? You're face is pretty red.." He joked. Filo looked at him with a pout.

"Now that everyone is finally here.." Aizawa shot a glance to Denki, who looked away sheepishly. "Here's the list for pairs." He held a piece of paper up, letting everyone pass it around and find their partners. Filo was passed the paper from Tsu who went to find Shoto. She found her name and hummed, and noticed the pairing under her own. A smile grew on her face. Tao gave a confused look. "Looks like I might not be the only one with a red face~" She teased, handing the paper to him before going to find Yaoyorozu. Tao confused, quickly looked to find his name. He turned pale. He was paired with Katsuki. Oh gods why couldn't he just drop dead now.

Tao watched as Kirishima and Kaminari teased Bakugou. He angrily stuffed the paper in their faces before stomping off towards Tao. He stared at the floor beneath him, terrified of looking at those crimson eyes. Maybe the training would go by quickly and he could hurry off to class. Go hide in his room and hide his face in a pillow. "You better not fuckin' go easy on me." Was all he said as he approached Tao. He gave a quick nod. He wondered if he should actually use more of his power, instead of using the base level. The one other time he got paired with Bakugou, he lost miserably. The blonde scoffed. Probably at the weakness Tao exhibited.

Everyone began training against their partners, or better yet their opponents for the time being. Katsuki threw more explosions, quick on his feet and quick to react. He was a pain to go against. Tao had been able to dodge so far, lucky to build up strength in his wings to fly up when necessary. Not being able to land a hit on him only made Katsuki more angry. He flew forward by an explosion, hand up and ready to hit Tao. As he got closer, Tao wrapped his tail around his forearm and slammed him down. Before he could even try to get up, Tao was able to pin him down. He was using more of his strength to keep the blonde down. He didn't notice the growing blush on him, or even realizing the position they were in."Oouhh Bakugou look at you!!~" Kirishima and Kaminari teased from afar, somehow being teamed up together. Teasing Bakugou was much better than fighting against the other. Tao looked over at them, confused. Then he was thrown off. He landed a few feet away and looked to see Katsuki back on his feet. A loud whistle was called, signaling the end of the training. Bakugou stomped off, letting out a 'tch' upon passing Tao who still sat stunned.
