It has been a long while since I have checked in on my followed blogs and I feel absolutely terrible for it. How are you doing? I hope well. Thank you for being you. In case no one has said lately you're incredible and shine like the stars.

Hiiii ❤️ I'll be totally honest, there are some things I've been wanting to say, and if it's okay, I'm gonna use this as a jumping off point to say it. There's been a lot of drama in the fandom lately, it is really stressful to see. Papa would be very disappointed in the way people have been at each other's throats over varying headcanons and opinions. We're supposed to be ghesties here.

This week the drama made it into my close circle of friends and it has eaten me alive for the past four days now. Starting yesterday, I turned off all notifications for my socials, I pop on when I want to, and I get off the moment it starts to stress me out. I'm just at a point where I have to release stress from my life and get back to enjoying this band that I paid a lot of money to go see next month.

Thank you anon for being a little bright spot in my day, I have already felt a lot better since getting off of socials so much. I care about a lot of folks in this fandom very deeply, and I'm so grateful to everyone who reads, lurks, likes, reblogs, or comments on my content; I just hope we can all start to approach things in a more healthy way going forward.

would you say you're more of a raptors or rockets fan?

Most definitely a Toronto Raptors fan more than a Houston Rockets fan for sure! And here's why...

My parents always watch all the sports, especially if it's exciting, and I've always had some kind of sports match on TV playing in my house. But I was never interested enough to stick around (except for figure skating, when I was younger). During 2019, they were of course watching the Raptors together and they constantly told me about it, but I wasn't interested...yet.

On the night of Kawhi's buzzer beater, my mother came into my room after the match and was like, "Dad and I watched the match and it was the most exciting game and they won at the last moment. You should have watched with us!"

I definitely should have, but I wasn't convinced yet. But I had a terrible feeling that one day I would be forced to give up my evenings, and despite delaying it as long as I could...in Game 2 or 3 of the Bucks vs Raptors series, I sat on the couch and looked at the TV.

I knew from that moment on, it was over. I watched every game with my parents after that. I fell in love with the players on the team and their dynamics and started learning about basketball, something that was entirely new to me. It's hilarious that I'm the biggest basketball fan in the household now. Like, talk about irony. 😂😭

I could never give up on the Raptors, well, unless I grow sick of basketball itself or if the team does something really egregious. Even this year, with their terrible chaotic season, I still watched a good chunk of regular season games with my parents. My mom's favourite player is Gradey Dick, mine is RJ Barrett. 😌💖

As for the Rockets, I've grown to love them too. I never expected to take on a second team, but I'm glad I did. I chose the Rockets because I was really curious about Fred VanVleet dealing with the younger core (and I wanted to see the drama). But then I fell in love with the players and their dynamics and then it was like those 2019 days all over again.

It's funny, I've never been to Houston. I had to learn all kinds of lingo (for instance I was confused about "throwing up the H"...oh boy 😭😭). Not to mention all the American-ness of sports culture and the entirety of the Western conference teams, which I was pretty ignorant about until this year. My favourite Rockets player is Alperen, of course. But I like all of them. 😂

Shinichi Kudou can't speak French. English? Yes. French? No.

Kaitou Kuroba on the other hand can. He's a cheeky bastard with many confusing, ulterior motives. At the beginning of their odd new friendship, Kuroba introduces Shinichi to others as "Mon Copain" (My boyfriend) and "Mon Mari!" (My husband). Shinichi is very confused and is slightly concerned with Kaito mocking him as he can't understand his French. Till' the lovely day he decides to translate it by using audio translation (resaying Kaito's phrases, so to speak.) He'sis even MORE confused when the definition arrives. He calls Kaito in frustration begging him to tell him what the fuck it means because all of the translations are wrong, "boyfriend" and "husband" don't seem like an entertaining mockery.

Kaito laughs softly into the phone and responds with "But you are, aren't you? Mon copain means boyfriend, the translations aren't wrong. Unless you want them to be." And Shinichi swears he can hear Kaito pouting on the other end.

He becomes incredibly embarrassed and irritated.

"You think you can call me your boyfriend and not even ask me out?" He's breathless and flustered and he hangs up on Kaito.

...They're dating now. :)

TD;LR: French asshole Kaito. They're dating now. Sort of.

I find it hilarious that Shinichi in your scenario decided that Kaito's french must've been wrong cause no way would he call him those if he knew LOL

Honestly though, I think Shinichi won't even let a second go by of him not knowing whatever tf Kaito said in french that he didn't know so he'll probably look it up immediately and be like, "Oh he must be fucking with me. Just the usual teasing, nothing serious."

But then it goes on and it frustrates Shinichi because he's seriously in love with Kaito and, "How dare this man casually call me his boyfriend in french as if he doesn't know I would google the translation the second he's out of the room." Shinichi knows that Kaito knows that he knows what it means but Kaito still continues to call him that. It's like putting a big sign on things Shinichi wants but can't have. So at some point Shinichi snaps in frustration which has Kaito all confused and then it continues to the rest of the scenario you said lol

Shinichi all pissed saying, "You think you can call me your boyfriend and not even ask me out?" is just so funny to think about lol

Also Kaito having whiplash cause every time he called Shinichi 'Mon copain' or 'Mon mari' he'd blush and Kaito thought for sure he liked it only for Kaito to find out that it actually pissed Shinichi off lol

They just really need to talk 😂

Carteek as I like to call them is one of my favorite friendships.
