Maybe the cost for curing Doyle's condition was that he and his mother could never completely leave the Dark Dimension at least not together? That would explain the "parent's day" inconsistency. Now, either something directly happened to Dormammu making it so he could release both of his prisoners instead of one at a time or Doyle's mother make another deal with him. Just my theory

OOH, yes yes yes! I love this one a lot, actually!! Connects back to the Parent's Day issue and it has the lock that Dormammu probably has over Doyle's family.

Plus if Doyle's mother turns out to be siding with Dormammu, then it makes sense that she conveniently showed up today of all days. The day Dormammu knew Emily would want her revenge. This fight could be revealed to be a coordinated, full frontal attack.

What if the other deal was that the mother learned additional magic from him, just a few things she could learn to protect her son if he needs her?

Plus, if she's actually on the good side, what if she took these abilities as a gateway to free them from the bastard? Did some learning by herself? Maybe she sent Doyle to SA to learn how to fight his father and free them from him? But... if the gravity of the situation was like that I feel as though Doyle would have been ran to Dr. Voodoo or Dr. Strange for immediate help.. but perhaps with the top sorcerers were already dealing with so much Doyle kept to himself (especially since he blew a big favor to ask for more help after they saved his life, Doyle seems like a very humble, sweet kid, so maybe he didn't want to ask for too much). Or maybe his mother told him not to warn the others or the issue would grow once Dormammu found out about their dissidence...

since some people are hung up on that part, no i didnt use my jewish descent against my sister, she used hers against me and i reminded her that im just as much of jewish descent as she is. this made sense to me from context as i was making the post, but in hindsight it obviously doesn't so thats my bad

also for all that u guys knew she couldve been my adoptive sister or stepsister or hals sister (which she is but we share the jewish descent)
