Hi! So I'm about to enter my first year of college this fall and I was wondering if you had any tips and advice? Thank you!

hey!!! first of all, congrats!!! something i HIGHLY recommend is using google calendar or some other calendar app for all your classes, assignments, work, etc. being organized and time management is super helpful and it's really nice to put everything from the syllabus into a calendar asap (i also color code everything so i can see at a glance what classes/things i have to do) another thing is making sure you choose classes that are helpful towards graduating but also interesting! idk about any other schools but my college has a degree audit system where you can plan out all of your schedules for the next however many years and i use it all the time. generally the system I've had so far for choosing classes is to do one for your major, one for a grad requirement, and then one for whatever you want (i usually pick classes that are entirely out of my major range like art or health) also pay attention to the credits! i stick to 12-15 credits per semester. the other thing that I've personally had a really tough time doing (lol) is talking to people!! join clubs that sound interesting!! (or at least go to a few meetings and see if its any good) participate in events!! study outside your dorm!! party!! (if that's your thing) there's really no right way or wrong way to do college! it all just depends on what you want to get out of it and who you are! balance your work/life (bc if you live on campus you will literally LIVE at your WORK and it can get rough mentally) college is a great time to find yourself and figure out who you are away from your family and old friends but its also important that you make sure you're staying on top of class work since that's literally the reason you're there lol but yeah!!! good luck!!!! if you have any questions you can send another ask or feel free to shoot me a dm!! :D

I watched the Irregulars yesterday and fell in love with the whole thing so I named myself after the pub!

I have a Julie and the Phantoms sideblog which is @gaylebcovington and I made it because I was flooding my main blog with JatP posts and needed somewhere to yell about it.

Two years I think.

Nope, I come here, I reblog thirty things in one go, and I leave.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

Well this blog in particular has been through a few changes. I first started it just because I wanted Tumblr, then I turned it into my incorrect quotes blog which gained me most of my following, then I deactivated it for a bit, then I turned it back into this.

Because ace Cap rights 💜

I don’t have one atm but my last one was Cap standing in the bomb crater in Redding Weddy because I found the screenshot far too funny.

I wrote something about fanfiction, it was somewhere between 3k and 4k notes when I last looked.

While I understand they’re usually for good causes and reasons, I come on Tumblr because I want to relax and unwind and get away from my own reality for a bit. I want to see and reblog things that make me happy, not things that I have been told to reblog or are really tragic situations. I’ll reblog them sometimes but mostly I don’t.

23. If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be?

Oh man, I thought I’d be starting on my homework, but no. (Edit: Apparently I’m not doing any homework because my mom is sending me to bed.) 

This ended up very topically messy, as I just wrote it as I thought of it. It also got very long and personal. I took out the personal bits but in short: January 4th was my grandmother’s funeral, and also I started crying like a normal person. 

CW: COVID-19 mention. The wild topic changes might make some of it worse. 

Keep thinking about those MCR guys. It’ll stay with you for a long time. 

Please stop being awkward around your English teacher and PLEASE don’t be overly vulnerable in remote school. Also your writing’s pretty good, keep working on that.

24. Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?

Did I make any? Once covid hit, I was really good at keeping my resolution to walk every day. I’m too cynical about the man-made nature of the date of the new year to make them ahhahah.
