This is just stupid and I was going to ignore it but once again separatism has been brought up and we're now encroaching into borderline homophobic ranges. What we're saying minimize your risk because your partner is a threat to you, now some of you are telling us that that is the complete same thing as being attacked by homophobic strangers for having a partner. These things are fundamentally different.

The motivation is different and the amount of risk you're exposed to is different. I could be completely in the closet in public and still have a same-sex partner and it doesn't increase my risk of violence. My partner isn't the risk. Also it's completely inaccurate to pretend that we can escape homophobia by not dating people, even though that's not what anyone was telling you about misogyny, it's gross. No one is saying not dating men will completely get rid of male violence in your life we are all talking about minimizing risk and how inviting them in your home prevents you from having a safe place to run to. I can stay in my home to avoid most homophobes outside of it. I couldn't do that if I invited them to live with me. Despite that tho, I have been single for years and still have experienced homophobia that threaten my job and safety because I don't need another person to be recognized as gay. Because the threat comes from outside forces perceiving me as a homosexual the threat doesn't go away or become legitimately mitigated by not having a partner. You are just being homophobic when you're making this comparison because it's not a comparison that is genuinely equal and explanatory, it seems like you're lashing out and trying to hurt lesbians for daring to make the suggestion to you in the first place. It's a false equivalency.

However, if there was one specific group of women putting lesbians in the ground at an alarming rate like men are doing to het women, I would suggest that lesbians stay away from that demographic of women too. Male violence however isn't unbeknownst to us, it's only when y'all feel defensive and personally criticize the act like heterophobia is real and that we're criticizing you as a het woman rather than men for their male violence, simply because we suggest you try your best to mitigate the harm they can do to you. We suggest y'all separate yourself from men for your own safety because we care about you, while also staying away from men ourselves. Because we understand that men lie about who they are and they're good intentions until they feel like they can trap you and then they abuse you, whether as your friend or your romantic partner. That this is a pattern that we have researched and studied and as feminists should be able to recognize without you acting like we are saying that y'all deserve to be abused. Because that's not what we are saying.

We are just giving you the tools and the encouragement for you to feel like you can go against the patriarchical teachings that you have to have a man to live a fulfilling life. Which I feel I must remind you is one of the most basic feminist actions you can do. Just simply encouraging other women to go against patriarchal teachings and help provide them the tools and support to do so. Like that is one of our main goals as radical feminist, because it builds female solidarity and feminist consciousness. So, if that's insulting to you then you're a big fucking baby and I doubt emotionally prepared for actual political activism. This was embarrassing for y'all. Or at least it should have been.

ok thoughts ive had thinking about buffy and true blood etc and at least a little bit of the conversation around first kill lol been reading vampire academia you know whatever which is that like obviously vampire media has been very gay tho has also of course had the long running thread of like vampire man shows up in a human womans life and upends things on the spectrum of like pure monster in dracula to like male lead in a bodice ripper and whatever in between tho running parallel has also been the long tradition of lesbian vampire media starting of course with carmilla that also always plays with the human protagonist various levels of menacing vampire lover/antagonist and that tho i guess romance/seduction in most vampire media is doomed to end in destruction there is usually more finality in the lesbian vampire media with early depictions leaving the vampire dead and the innocent human woman saved but changed and later depictions do sometimes leave the human victim a vampire herself even if the original remains dead perhaps leaving it like the gay vampirism will live on despite it all which is definitely more interesting than status quo restored but still very much an end and well how these tropes have been reinvented as the years have gone on whatever mental digression about vampire and human being like vampire media gender roles and how that intertwines with painfully heterosexual m/f vampire romance the predatory lesbian vampires and then the like long shadow of the vampire chronicles on m/m vampire relationships and that it obviously reframes and yaoifies the entire vampire romance concept centering a vampire/vampire couple etc but anyways back to buffy and true blood or whatever i find myself kind of tired of these fairly generic human/vampire straight romances especially interesting in true blood where they keep also like making jokes about vampire blood making you gay etc and the heavy handed vampire homophobia and vampire racism plots language and world building etc its like often both a way of defining normalcy so many of these romantic lead vampires are extremely straight often also stuck in the bizarre like christian guilt purity cycle of also like resisting their vampirism and being "vegetarians" etc but it all feels extremely stale and old hate and like attached to a level of normalcy when its the same circle around and around sad vampire man generic human girl which like this kind of central romance plot is like where i do sort of get why people maybe assumed something like first kill was perhaps unique in an extremely gay genre and like of course tale as old as time people have used vampires as like this fantasy for womens repressed sexuality and all that but its like idk i do think u could in some ways bring a certain amount of life back to the stale tropes of these weird romances if u did make them gay adding perhaps more depth and weight to the awakening and repression often explored in this and to mess with the very lame gender dynamics in these kinds of relationships and have a different idea of the normalcy vs weird vampirism or boring life vs cool vampire life dyanmics that are often explored idk this makes no sense ok thank u for going on this journey with me

Nomura is still dead because she died on screen and I can't really deny that but she's with Draal so it's okay. Everyone is traumatized but they'll be fine. NotEnrique is still babysitting 500 babies and Steve is about to bring 7 more.

In summary, I reject Groundhog Day ending but everything else was great, as long as it actually happened. It was a good movie. But you can't just cancel years of passion. Having the prospect of a million "canon AUs" sounds great for writing but at the same time nooo you can't do that he didn't have to go back THAT far HHHHH

I liked the movie. It was a great watch and a satisfying end to a franchise, but I gotta say I do not fancy the ending of it so I will from now on be in denial. I honestly feel kind of betrayed that this show was my whole life for so long, I learned every smallest fact, and they basically deleted it from existence. I know what they were going for, I think, but no thank you I will be going with my own opinion. Still gonna rewatch it a few dozen times though ✌🏻

Hi!! Recently i started researching more about asexual and aromantic spectrum, ever since i started questioning my sexual and romantic orientation. I'm really confused as for right now, and i want to know whether my romantic orientation is demiromantic or something else.

I'm agender and asexual, and i currently have a lover that i romantically love with all my heart.

I do experience romantic attraction but it's rare and only when i get to know someone better or i'm starting to get close with the person, and even then it's not like i will have romantic attraction to anyone i'm close to, i can't really force myself to be romantically attracted to anyone, it just suddenly appears yk?? Like sometimes the moment i feel that i click with this person and it's not artificial, i would fall in love with them, or sometimes i love them platonically and not romantically.

I only had two or three real crushes my whole life. I know i'm still a teenager, but i know some people who had many real crushes and not just a few.

My romantic preference is people that fall into the non binary spectrum and also women, i don't think i'm romantically attracted to men, it's more of compulsory heterosexuality or i could platonically love them but never romantically.

My first real crush is my girl bestfriend that i feel like was my soulmate and twin flame. I realized i was in love with her too late, but i'm glad because she ended up being a toxic person overall. I realized my actions and my feelings towards her was romantic years after i already moved on. But i know she was the first person i loved.

My second crush is with my current lover. We're in a distance relationship, but when i started to get to know them better as each day passes, suddenly i realized that i loved them romantically and not platonically like how i love my bestfriend or other people. I'm in love with them and they were the first person to show me how a healthy relationship is like.

I wonder whether i'm demiromantic or not? Or maybe there's another term that i didn't know yet. I would be so grateful if you told me your opinions regarding my situation

"two or three crushes" -- so while aromanticism isn't necessarily about the frequency/amount of crushes (like, some do experience romo attraction often but it goes away quickly or fluctuates), this was personally the main thing I spent ages trying to find out about when I was questioning, so I'll let you know that yes alloros absolutely get crushes (way) more often than this

And don't worry about the teenage thing - I'll let you in on a secret: I've only had two or three crushes too, and even tho I'm in my early 20s... Those were ALL in my teens. I will note that it's not demiromantic just to fall in love only once you know someone well - that's pretty common with allos too. On that note, not sure if you were after ideas for that too, but if you're agender and attracted to non-men I think neptunic is the specific one for that. Other labels that work are: any mspec label, trixic, enbian, or lesbian ("non-men attracted to non-men") (and probably lots of microlabels I don't know about)

Scandal in Bohemia was a fucking ride, first of all, before we even get to Sherlock's girlboss arc we have to discuss how gay the whole situation was and how Doyle's attempt at making them less gay failed spectacularly

But trying to come up with a reason for that happening just... it didn't occur to Doyle. He just went. Ah yes this makes sense. What you think of fetus V who said in front of everyone "You seem to really like men" to Jimin? Youthful ribbing? Or a moment of insensitivity ? FWI saying you like girls or guys? Or calling close same sex friends u a couple? is actually common where am from. This has happened in my friend circle too actually. Except all of us are hets so no one take it seriously. Cant think a closeted person would find it that funny. Jimins lack of denial or even laughing it off always stood out to me tho.

What do I think of that comment?

I think we both know very often when people say they think a man likes men, they mean to say they think that man is Gay and very often when the g-word is used in a sentence, it is not meant as a compliment- imma give it to you straight, no bs. Lol.

The parlance gay and variations of it, in my opinion, is often used ubiquitously and traditionally as a slur slang among ignorant, non-progressive, anti homosexual individuals and is often rooted in malice.

And when malice isn't intended, ridicule is. The sad fact is, people adopt the terminology as ammunition to blatantly attack, dehumanize, belittle and strip away the dignity of queer folks and when the term is used in reference to non queer people it has a similar effect. It degrades them as well through the irony and humor of comparing them to gay people.

Gay jokes, if you will, is a subtle art of passive aggressively slurring gay folks if you think about it. I mean let's be honest.

Personally, I don't think Tae's intentions in that moment were malicious at all. I don't think he blurted out those words with the intension to ridicule Jimin either- stay with me. It will make sense in a bit.

But he called Jimin gay nevertheless. His comment if a joke, I'm afraid, reinforces these bizzare stereotypes of masculinity and promotes toxic rhetorics prevalent especially within Kpop shipping communities where every Male idol interaction is hyper sexualised and romanticized thus, suggesting a man cannot love another man, be affectionate or be fond of them unless they secretly lusted after them and harbored a desire to lay down pipes in their behinds- which, honestly is crazy coming from a guy with a cultural background such as the Korean culture where kinship is commonplace but more on that later.

I think whatever which way we want to look at it, it was an insensitive comment especially if you believe he meant it as a joke. It was definitely not his most woke moment, socially and culturally- and that's putting it lightly.

That 'gay' comment to me is right up there with all the problematic statements some, if not all, of the members have made over the years- the colorism, racist jokes, the ' eww, you too black,' 'akekeke- you too tanned shoo,' implying if you're black or tanned you are ugly. The fat jokes, the misogyny and misogynior- please don't ask me to give you examples of these. I don't want to ruin BTS for you. Lol.

There are commentaries on these out there on the internet. You can look it up for yourselves- You welcome. Lol.

For the record, BTS have since retracted, acknowledged and apologized for most of these questionable moments throughout the years and so we cannot hold it against them, forever- not to make excuses for them but they are human too. Firt of all, I don't think that moment is a big deal. But I find it interesting nonetheless.

Do I think Tae was teasing Jimin in that moment when he made that statement? It's not quite easy as yes or no.

Personally, I think he was clocking him.

This interview was conducted at a point in the timeline where I feel Jimin was shedding his image as the Maknae obsessed hyung in the group. He was coming into his own and embracing himself for who he is and that I think included his sexuality.

Prior to, he had in my opinion, since debut, slipped into the role of the queer jest of the group supplying queer humor and entertainment for listeners at radio shows by offering himself up for ridicule as the 'gay guy' within the group- I hated every bit of it. Lol.

You'd often hear the members refer to him as the one good with the guys, the boy in love with the Maknae- There is still a fraction of Army that see him as this persona but he has since outgrown that label and that phase.

RM was basically the Black jest of the group, offering himself up for ridicule for his darker skin tone right down to his blaccent. Can you do your black accent? They will ask him at interviews and he would proceed to deliver a walmart version of the Black American English. Sigh.

Compared to the previous year where he literally gasped and panicked when the members hinted at his sexuality or made statements that put his sexuality into question, Jimin seemed more in control and mentally prepared during this interview.

When the question was asked of him, the question of why he liked JK, his instincts it seemed was to steer the conversation away from his sexuality- a tactic the rest of the members would employ to avoid discussing Jikook a few months from that interview...

I mean, when Tae asked Jimin on JK's birthday that same year what he wanted to give JK, RM cut in before JM answered. Jimin had done the same thing when in an interview JK was asked if Jimin wasn't his style and JK was stuttering not knowing what to say in response. JM asked him not to answer the question.

When interviewers ask these questions, they do so for entertainment purposes- because who doesn't like gay jokes, amirite?

For heterosexual idols I assume it's not slippery slope for them to engage in these kinds of humor. They can play gay without risking exposing their heterosexuality and when they do play gay it's for jest.

It's not the same for queer idols I think.

Jimin was basically done being the butt of the gay jokes in 2015, he was done selling himself as the JK shit rainbows and I'm the unicorn fixated on him kinda person and it reflected in that conversation.

Most South Koreans I've met in person and on the internet spend a considerable amount of time and energy trying to dispel the western notion of gayness projected on to Korean men for their skinship culture.

We like to glamorize gayness in these streets but in reality gay is stigmatized especially in places like South Korea. People don't readily read gay in Male interactions unless they were being homophobic or socially unaware.

To me, Tae's statement was more of an observation about Jimin, one which he felt a need to contribute to the discussion they were having, perhaps to provide insight into the inner workings of Jimin rather than as a joke or jest- or may be he did both.

Jimin managed to avoid opening himself up for the gay jokes and to this Tae then responded, I just think you is gay sir- The emphasis has been mine. Lol.

The thing about Tae is, in the earlier days he used to have a habit of 'exposing' Jimin whenever Jimin told half truths and what not.

For example, in 2014 during an interview when JM was asked what he wanted to do on his free days he had said he wanted to spend time with his family or something and Tae immediately checked him saying he was lying. Jimin then said he wanted to be with Jungkook which had JK fuming.

Was he teasing JM when he called him out for lying about his true desires? May be but I think he meant it too. Know what I mean?

He did the same thing when during their Paris VLive, Jimin got nervous when JK was singing 'know you love me boy, so that I love you,' in the background and Tae asked Jimin if he was nervous. Jimin snapped out of whatever whipped trance he was in and asked 'why would I be nervous' or something along those lines.

Why would Tae assume JM was nervous listening to another man sing? And why would Jimin be nervous in the first place?

And if at an interview Jimin is asked, why don't you like listening to the Maknae sing and JM responded that he is cute but he can't sing and Tae says well I think listening to Jk sing makes him nervous- would that be youthful ribbing or tea? Do you see where I'm going with this?

I see Tae as very observant- If not more observant than Jk. Their jokes are punchier because it is rooted in truth. He is stating his opinion, his observations and when he felt JM's answers were dishonest or inconsistent of his general notion of him, he called him out on that.

It's like him saying JM likes to pretend to be drunk in order to tell Tae he loves him- allegedly. Was it funny, yes. Was it a lie? I don't think so.

Jimin likes to pretend, we been knew. His boyfriend don spilled that tea already. I mean Jk said JM faked being asleep when he noticed the cameras filming him. He said also JM knows he is cute so sometimes he intentionally acts cute.

The question I ask myself, and I think we ought to ask ourselves as shippers is, what about Jimin gave Tae that impression of him in the first place?

What made Tae, coming from a culture and background where 'gay' is a taboo and skinship is prevalent assume that if Jimin liked JK then it was because he liked men or was gay?

If Tae thought Jimin liked men, even as a joke, it's probably because Jimin had been giving him a reason or reasons to believe he actually liked boys beyond the usual daily doze of gay prevalent within K-culture.

It's similar to JK feeling uncomfortable when Jimin in 2014 described their relationship as one between love and friendship. Jimin responding with male friends can love eachother too without being gay would imply JK was interpreting his words and actions towards him as laced with romantic and sexual subtext or intent.

Now why would JK assume this if men touching men and feeling up on eachother in their culture was a normal thing?

Tae and Kook were both hyper aware and curious of Jimin's sexuality in that period- for different reasons of course. In my opinion.

Not sure if Jimin's androgynous features played a role in these suspicions and assumptions they had of him in the early days because androgynousity in men is often ignorantly profiled and stereotyped as queer.

Tae seemed convinced JM was queer at least and JK was projecting his own queerness on to Jimin a lot- cough, cough.

Anywho, for whatever reason, Jimin seemed to be the only member in the group around the early days whose words and actions were put through the queer litmus test.

Also, I think a distinction ought to be made between calling two same sex friends a couple and calling them gay.

Calling two friends a couple is inconsequential- except when their sexuality is on the line. Calling two same sex friends you know are straight a couple is nothing but a gay joke.

BTS do this all the time. Jimin called Namjin a couple, Tae kook a couple, himself and Suga a couple, himself and JK a couple.

Jk has equally referred to others within the group as a couple, made heart signs above them, and have even held his chest and said he never thought he would fall for a guy.

In none of these instances did he or any of them imply that they or the persons they were referring to were queer or liked men and I wouldn't make much of such comments.

When JK was called out for gifting a present to Jimin and not the others, Tae teased JK as well and his gestures implied to me, 'it's ok to like him, I know you like him, you like JM don't you, uWu' and other variations of these.

But he in no way hinted at the sexuality of JK explicitly or implicitly- not in a way that prompts a response or rebuttal from JK like it did in Jimin's case.

I guess what I'm saying is that, that moment is nothing but something at the same time. You look at Tae's personality and his reputation within the group as the one with no filter who blurts out things that often has BTS running helter skelter- that 'I want to see your children" comment at Festa almost gave RM an aneurysm. Lmho.

Then they had to literally take his mic away from him when he started talking about meeting a pretty chick or something at a fansigns.

You consider the history between him and Jimin, the context behind that comment and the things that was said after that comment- the interviewer said 'well JK is really handsome...' which means he took the 'joke' Tae had made to mean JM had romantic interest in JK- something I feel JM was trying to avoid.

I don't think Tae meant anything by it. I don't think he knew at the time JM was queer but I do believe he suspected he was.

I think the issue is a lot of radfems who sink such a significant amount of time into their entire personality being lesbian,

A lot of the time lesbians in that culture take issue with bisexuals, especially women. Im a bisexual woman and i can say with confidence that ive received more biphobia from the lesbian community then the hetero community.

So when radfem lesbians like that fall in love with trans men, they usually will never call themselves bisexual beacuse that subset of the lesbian community takes issue with bisexuals existsing in the same space as them.

So theyd never identify themselves as that and will defend calling themself a lesbian using any means neccessary.

so when I eventually fell in love with a trans man I decided...either im going to ignore this person's identity because otherwise I can't claim lesbianism, or maybe being a lesbian just isn't for me! and once I was free from that I was able to accept myself as genderfluid/masc, and realize I was never a butch lesbian I just really viewed myself as a dude, and thought I had to be attracted to women only to be taken seriously.

and I wish so badly that other people could work through that for themselves. rejecting another person's entire identity just because you think your own is more important? I can't think of something more hypocritical.

I finished binge watching the 2 seasons of the witcher fairly recently

And I've seen some posts about his relation with geralt in the books, some quotes, some analysis.

In the books we get to see shit from geralt's perspective, which yeah makes kind of a difference but like, atleast in the books we get the sense that geralt sees jaskier as a friend? (i haven't read the books yet but i am starting the last wish i'm just kinda busy, however i've seen a good amount of book quotes and highlighted scenes where its obvious that geralt sees jaskier as a friend).

But then in the show it doesn't seem that way? Geralt barely gives 2 shits about jaskier?

no wait he did care about him like, once, in that djin episode, where, ya know, jaskier almost died. ya know. because of geralt?

the thing is, i don't actually hate the amount of (heterosexual) romance in shows/movies. because i'm a romantic, and i like shipping.

i just want it to romantic plots to be done well, by my own standards/in a way that I personally find compelling. obviously, that can't always be met because All Media isn't for me, a specific individual with a set of tastes. some media will explore relationships in a way i don't care for, or will not adequately sell their relationship in my opinion

with that, i can understand and empathize with wanting more tales without romance at the forefront. but i actually do prefer watching stuff where there's potential for romance

At 19, Zak would begin attending college in another state. While keeping in close contact with his mom, uncle, sister, and grandma.

At 22, everything would change forever. The peace he knew within his family would be destroyed when his uncle was gunned down in a convenient store. His only then 6 year old sister there to witness it. 

Shortly after returning home, and burying his uncle, his mom would find out that she was pregnant with her third child. Another girl following 7 months later, named Ariah. 

The death of her husband wasn’t something Nalani Kolton could quite recover from. The grief, along with a new born child, and her own personal traumas, led her down a dark path involving that of substance abuse. Causing her to lose her job as a nurse, and in the end, her relationship with her children. Melinda Kolton, (their grandmother) would end up with custody of the two youngest.

Zak being the guy who tries to save everyone, would end up paying for it, when he tried to break up a trap house, in which, his mother was in. That night, the cops would come to raid the area. And in the attempt of trying to help his mother, he’d find himself facing a jail rep. Police finding a sizable amount of narcotics on him. He’d end up facing a 6 year sentence, but with good behavior, he was out in about 4.

His grandmother, and the girls would relocate to Providence Peak, Co. After his release, he’d follow behind them. Has been in town for over 10 years.

Before his sentence, he had been getting in to the act of bodybuilding and fitness. After his sentence, he found a love in boxing, training, and MMA fighting. He found that it helped him release stress and pent up anger. For him, it was better then therapy. 

Getting into contact with a world reown trainer, he’d find himself working up the chain, win fight after fight, and making a name for himself in the field. Even later on finding passion in training others, rather it be for professional sports, or simply to get in shape. 

Some habits never die, -- still one to try and save others, Zak would come to find himself in an on and off again toxic relationship with a addict. He truly cared for this woman, and wanted to be a safe place for her. She, however, couldn’t quite give into what was being handed to her. What she would be able to give, tho, was a beautiful baby boy that would go on to be named Elijah, after his uncle. Nicknamed “EJ” or “Eli”, depending on the person. But most usually go with EJ.

Not too long after the birth of this little boy, Zak would find himself a single and the only parent to his son. As the boy’s mother would end up leaving them both.

Zak is the kind of person that would give someone the shirt off his back, if they needed it. He was raised very well, to be quite honest, between the hands of his mother (as she was sober through his childhood), his grandmother, and his uncle. He’s respectful, and willing to understand. This has cost him in the past, but it’s still not a trait he’s capable of getting rid of. To be honest, he carries a lot of his pain well, and it’s probably 100% because he has a job where he can channel all of it onto someone else during fight nights. This doesn’t mean it’s not there, though.
