Police AU
Been watching one too many cop documentaries so here’s my take on Overwatch’s police/emergency services AU where they’re all on the same side. None for Siege since...well, they’re all cops :p I’m more than happy to expand on these upon request since I just thought about them on the spot while binging episodes.
Under the cut because it’s pretty long.
Damage
Bastion - He’s the fire engine :p Just kidding. Bastion is part of the fire service and is often called to road traffic accidents to cut people out of cars. For some reason, the officers never see him for any other reason, but he always appears with a happy whistle that calms the people trapped in their vehicles.
Doomfist - A deputy public prosecutor who is exceptionally charming. He used to work as a private defence lawyer, defending criminals, until he ‘turned a new leaf’ and joined the Public Prosecution office. He is very nitpicky with his evidence and is skilled at pointing out loopholes. Akande takes great pleasure in tutting at police officers for being too careless in gathering evidence or if they have been too rough with the suspect. There are rumours that he is or was involved in the local crime ring that have yet to be proven.
Genji - Formerly from the SWAT team, he took unpaid leave after a confrontation with an armed suspect left him with grievous injuries. Now he’s back on duty as part of the mobile patrol team but is occasionally called in to deal with drunks or drugged individuals. He has an odd ability to deal with them peacefully without the need for intimidation or force and is the most knowledgeable about drugs and alcohol in the entire station. In fact, he’s so good with them that he’s constantly assigned to the club and pub areas and has a nickname of ‘Drunk Whisperer’. He hates it.
Hanzo - Originally a member of the yakuza in Japan, Hanzo escaped his past and moved to a new country. He now works as an undercover agent in various criminal empires, establishing connections and helping bust human trafficking rings. Although he generally looks sullen and unapproachable, no one can deny his ability to blend in with the criminals he’s assigned to infiltrate. Hanzo particularly despises drugs and alcohol, due to recovering from his own addiction, and has to fight hard not to compromise his assignment if he’s faced with drunks and drugged men and women.
Junkrat - Jamison Fawkes serves as an explosives disposal expert with the SWAT team. He was initially wanted for messing with explosives and minor robbery in Australia, but after he was put into a correctional facility, he was ‘convinced’ to put his talents to good use. Despite his new career change, he’s still happy he gets to play with explosives and avoid time in the psychiatric hospital.
McCree - Also formerly from the SWAT team, Jesse McCree was forced onto medical leave after losing his arm in the same confrontation with an armed suspect. While he copes with his new prosthetic arm, he’s relegated to patrol duties as part of the firearms team. In addition, he’s typically called in as a sniper or spotter where necessary. McCree is also the officer who is sent around to families to give bad news, be it about an accident or a death. Oddly enough, McCree usually gets saddled with shooing wildlife off the motorways/highways and returning lost animals to their owners, though they’re always reluctant to leave him.
Mei - Mei is primarily part of the ambulance service as an A&E doctor and part of the emergency medic team. She is occasionally dispatched as a search and rescue medic due to her experience with adverse weather conditions and is especially experienced with arctic conditions. When she feels like she wants to do some desk work, she does a shift as a control room dispatcher. Her favourite is when she can help deliver babies over the phone or in person. She never likes attending road traffic collisions because she feels helpless when they need medical attention but is trapped in their vehicles.
Pharah - Fareeha hailed from the military as a paratrooper. After many years in the service, she retired and joined the police force as a SWAT officer. She is a crack shot with a rifle and is very happy to handle RPGs when needed. Occasionally, she does shifts as part of the firearms team attending to armed suspects. As one of the best pursuers in the team, she often catches runners before any other officer can get their hands on them. Fareeha is rarely seen in the station since she’s constantly on mobile patrol when she has nothing better to do. Other officers teasingly call her a workaholic, though she takes it as a compliment rather than an insult.
Reaper - Commander of the SWAT team and a former detective in the Drug division. Suspects find him incredibly intimidating even with his face uncovered, which is to the station’s advantage as they often dispatch him to arrest particularly violent suspects. He’s been on the force long enough that he knows almost every career criminal in the county/state, and whenever he’s sent out, they know they’re in for a rough time. Notoriously picky about his coffee and is always seen with a taco or burrito in hand. No doughnuts for this cop if he wants to keep his muscles.
Soldier: 76 - Police inspector of the county/state. He’s well-liked among his men for clawing his way up the ranks like everyone else and has a keen nose for liars. While he did a brief stint in Homicide investigations, Jack used to prefer the Drugs division because he believes that drugs are a bigger blight on society than killers. However, now that he is primarily a pencil pusher and minor politician, he becomes very nosy in the office and listens in on the radio. Would sneak into a patrol car if he could.
Sombra - Sombra appeared out of nowhere to apply for a position as a dispatcher and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition system) as well as a slew of other bits of technology to aid officers on the road. The SWAT and Investigations units use her as a hacker as and when they need to, which is something she enjoys. She is extremely verbal about her dislike for the abuse of power and some officers have expressed their doubt about her because of it. Ana Amari is suspicious that she’s a snitch for headquarters, but to be honest Sombra serves as a check and balance for the more morally flexible officers in the station. Sombra also snitches on those morally flexible officers to Ana, which helps her credit.
Symmetra - A Deputy Public Prosecutor who, like Akande, was originally a defence lawyer. She has a speciality for traffic offences and property offences, viewing them as more routine than homicide charges which are far more complex. Occasionally, she handles sexual offences as she is determined to make the offender pay for their misdeeds. One of the hardest DPPs to deal with, but the station likes her because of her no-nonsense nature. She is familiar with many defence lawyers in the area and knows exactly which lawyer will be called for which offence or for which offender. Many officers are making bets on what will ruffle her feathers.
Torbjorn - The station mechanic caring for police vehicles. May sometimes be found souping up some pursuit cars to ensure they can go as fast as possible when pursuing suspects. He is also responsible for maintaining the firearms department and is the one who carries out firearms certifications for officers. Though a hard-ass, he is also a very good instructor. Enjoys Hana’s presence when she works with him in the garage, although he’s not too fond of her choice in music.
Tracer - Lena is the designated driver of the station. She’s arguably the most qualified, as she is a police officer with a paramedic qualification, as well as a former race car driver and licenced helicopter pilot. She does rotations on the air ambulance team, the mental health care team, and the traffic police. Some may call her overworked or overstretched, but she loves what she does and never wants to stop. Due to her cheery nature and unassuming stature, suspects think that they can walk all over her, but unfortunately for them, Lena is more than happy to give chase. As a former track and field athlete, Lena is blindingly fast and is known to catch runners before they even know she’s given chase. She’s currently training to become part of the Road Crimes team.
Widowmaker - Amelie works as an undercover agent to take down sex and child trafficking rings. Through the years, her work has hardened her and transformed her into something completely different from the woman she used to be. What does remain, though, is her burning hatred for those who would exploit the innocent and vulnerable. When needed, Amelie is an accomplished sniper and is more than happy to put a bullet into her target’s head.
Tanks
D.Va - Undeniably the face of female police officers in the country. She is very visible as a traffic police officer and tends to be able to give out tickets without being challenged often. Endearingly, Hana is fond of pink handcuffs and pink canisters of capsicum spray, as well as a pink taser that she is very fond of. Along with Torbjorn, she’s one of the most mechanically savvy of the policemen and will happily maintain her own police vehicle. She’s also the darling of the media and is very happy to work with documentary crews to show her life on the force, particularly when there is a lot of anti-police sentiments in town. Contrary to popular belief, Hana is more than capable of handling rowdy suspects with her brute strength.
Orisa - Orisa works, with Efi, to care for children who are left at the police station. Whether they are the children of officers or found children or children of arrested suspects, she ensures that they are safe until they are collected again. When she isn’t on babysitting duty, she is sent to calm violent prisoners in the police station. Through a combination of her immense size and her cheery demeanour, Orisa is often successful in corraling them back into their cells or into the police van. At times, Orisa is deployed to deal with underage suspects who are runaways, drug mules, or have committed offences. She calms them down and tries to convince them to turn a new leaf.
Reinhardt - Reinhardt is the station’s longest-serving police officer. With many medals on his breast and arrests under his belt, he can claim to have been at several important events in history. Several terrorist attacks, protecting presidents and royalty, taking down drug kingpins, and some of the most horrendous road traffic accidents in history. These days, Reinhardt is very content with being a traffic policeman and telling people to keep their seatbelts on and not to drive while holding a mobile phone. Occasionally, he goes on sting raids just to spice things up.
Roadhog - Mako currently works as an undercover agent, posing as an enforcer for one of the biggest drug lords in the country. He’s based in the state/county but travels with the drug lord when necessary. With his information, Mako has helped dismantle several other drug trafficking rings throughout the country. At present, he is working to turn this drug lord against his own allies and to have him arrested. Due to his hilariously soft looking eyes and gentle (in comparison to his stature) face, Mako has to wear a mask at all times to maintain a threatening aura.
Winston - Control room operator and dispatcher. He has a callsign of ‘Big Brother’ because he’s typically hovering over the shoulders of every officer, be they in the station or out on the roads. As the station mother hen, he always makes sure the break room is stocked with everything they need, along with an excess of peanut butter. His assistant Athena always complains about this but can never do anything because he just squirrels away more. He’s called on as the backup to deal with unruly prisoners in the station if needed.
Wrecking Ball - Hammond serves as an informant for the local police. As he’s involved in several underground fighting rings, Hammond is uniquely placed to aid the police in cracking down on illegal fighting. He receives a reward proportionate to the information he provides and thus far has proven to be a reliable informant. He and Winston get along well, with Winston keeping a channel open so he can chat with Hammond as and when he can.
Zarya - Zarya works rotations with the SWAT and with the Drug Investigations team. While originally an Olympic athlete, once she was forced to retire due to her age, she had to find alternate means of entertaining herself. She was offered a position with Volskaya Industries, but she elected to join the police force in order to give back to the community that supported her. She maintains her athleticism and is a beast on the field. Most suspects turn and run when they see her, but they don’t get far before they’re being swung around and handcuffed gently on the floor. Some still shiver in horror when they see her passing their cell.
Support
Ana - A seasoned police detective and SWAT team member, Ana ties with Reinhardt for the number of years served. She prefers to be nose deep in investigations, particularly in the Homicide department and is confident in violent confrontations. Though a sniper by training, Ana is also trained in settling conflicts non-violently, whether through tasers or by special tranquilisers. When she was forced off the field due to her age, she then migrated to the control room during operations in order to maintain a commanding position. Older criminals still remember her ‘motherly touch’ and cringe whenever she comes in to interrogate them.
Brigitte - Brigitte began serving as a trainee traffic warden under Reinhardt. When she came into her own, Brigitte joined the mobile patrol team instead and has every intention of becoming an instructor when she gains enough experience. Perhaps it’s to follow in Reinhardt’s footsteps as a mentor to new police officers, but she admires how he is inspiring trainees to give 110% of their effort when on duty. As Torbjorn’s daughter, she has a background in engineering and she puts that to good use by maintaining and developing body armour for the regular officers and the SWAT team. Officers who wear her stab vests always compliment her for making it lighter than it used to be.
Lucio - Paramedic who alternates between shifts with the ambulance service and shifts at the police station. He is occasionally sent to deal with mental health patients with Tracer and Zenyatta. Lucio boasts the best music collection of them all and is usually asked to command the radio while in the ambulance or police car. His gentle demeanour and voice have calmed down many an irate patient and he has a wonderful bedside demeanour. Although he’s young and has only been in the service for a few years, Lucio has seen many things that give him nightmares. He hates attending to nasty road traffic collisions because of a huge catastrophe, which resulted in several casualties and the death of a child, that he experienced when he first joined the service.
Mercy - Angela serves as the police doctor and an A&E doctor when necessary. She is licenced to be in an air ambulance but is more familiar with a hospital, having had most of her medical experience there. When SWAT is deployed, she is on standby as a medic, as she has firearms training in order to defend herself. When she’s called to attend to a DUI at a hospital following a road traffic accident, the station knows that she’s not allowed to drive herself there because she’s a terrible driver. Lena is usually dispatched, but if she’s not available, Hana is set to the task instead. No need to cause an extra accident, after all.
Moira - As part of the forensics team and a crime scene investigator, Moira enjoys being challenged every day. She likes solving issues and being in the lab, and this is the best of both worlds for her. There is a particular delight in investigating homicide cases for her, although few would say the same. She takes a very cold, clinical view to her cases and talks about victims and suspects as though they were experiments. Which, while making her an exceptional CSI, also unnerves many of her colleagues. Still they can’t deny how successful she is at her job.
Zenyatta - The mental health nurse attached to the unit. He’s often sent on cases with Tracer and Lucio where they have to talk down suicidal individuals or those who call 000 (or the emergency services number) for help with mental health. While typically successful in persuading people to talk to him, he gets very down if he doesn’t manage to save someone. It doesn’t keep him down for long and he’s usually back to himself by the time the next job comes along. He’s often called upon if the officers bring in an illegal immigrant who can’t speak the local language, and keeps them comfortable with his company while they wait for the immigration department to ring back.

overwatch heroes as glados lines said by moira
Ana:  The Aperture Science Bring Your Daughter to Work Day is the perfect time to have her tested.
Bastion:  Well done, android. The Enrichment Center once again reminds you that android hell is a real place where you will be sent at the first sign of defiance.
Brigitte:  Uh oh. Somebody cut the cake. I told them to wait for you, but they did it anyway. There is still some left, though, if you hurry back.
D.va:  You think you're doing some damage? Two plus two is ten... IN BASE FOUR! I'M FINE!
Doomfist:  Look, even if you think we're still enemies, we're enemies with a common interest: Revenge.
Genji:  Due to mandatory scheduled maintenance, the appropriate chamber for this testing sequence is currently unavailable.  It has been replaced with a live-fire course designed for military androids.
Hammond:  This next test involves the Aperture Science Aerial Faith Plate. It was part of an initiative to investigate how well test subjects could solve problems when they were catapulted into space. Results were highly informative: They could not. Good luck!
Hanzo: Did you know that people with guilty consciences are more easily startled by loud noises? [train horn] I'm sorry, I don't know why that went off. Anyway, just an interesting science fact.
Junkrat:  Did you just toss the Aperture Science Thing We Don't Know What It Does into the Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator?
Lucio:  Fantastic! You remained resolute and resourceful in an atmosphere of extreme pessimism.
Mccree:  "Unbelievable! You, [Subject Name Here] must be the pride of [Subject Hometown Here]!"
Mei:  There was even going to be a party for you. A big party that all your friends were invited to.  I invited your best friend the companion cube. Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him.  All your other friends couldn't come either because you don't have any other friends.
Mercy:  Okay. Look. We both said a lot of things that you're going to regret. But I think we can put our differences behind us. For science.
Moira:  Did my hint help? It did, didn't it? You know, if any of our supervisors had been immune to neurotoxin, they'd be FURIOUS with us right now.
Orisa:  Enjoy this next test. I'm going to go to the surface. It's a beautiful day out. Yesterday I saw a deer. If you solve this next test, maybe I'll let you ride an elevator all the way up to the break room, and I'll tell you about the time I saw a deer again.
Pharah:  Look at you soaring through the air majestically...like an eagle. Piloting a blimp.
Reaper:  Didn’t we have some fun though? Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I was all "goodbye" and you were like "NO WAY"... that was nice
Reinhardt:  This next test involves turrets. You remember them, right? They're the pale spherical things that are full of bullets. Oh, wait. That's you in 5 seconds.
Roadhog:  Hmm. This Plate must not be calibrated to someone of your... generous... ness. I'll add a few zeros to the maximum weight.  You look great, by the way. Very healthy.
Soldier 76:  It says so right here in your personnel file: Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner who's passing shall not be mourned.
Sombra:  I'm going to be honest with you now. Not fake honest like before, but real honest, like you're incapable of. I know you're up to something.
Symmetra:  Now that you are in control of both portals, this next test could take a very, VERY, long time.
Torbjorn:  When the testing is over, you will be baked, and then there will be cake.
Tracer:  Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms, speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.
Widowmaker:  You never considered that maybe I tested you to give the endless hours of your pointless existence some structure and meaning. Maybe to help you concentrate, so just maybe you’d think of something more worthwhile to do with your sorry life.
Winston: That jumpsuit you're wearing looks stupid. That's not me talking, it's right here in your file. On other people it looks fine, but right here a scientist has noted that on you it looks "stupid". Well, what does a neck-bearded old engineer know about fashion? He probably – Oh, wait. It's a she. Still, what does she know? Oh wait, it says she has a medical degree. In fashion! From France!
Zarya:  All subjects intending to handle high-energy gamma leaking portal technology must be informed that they MAY be informed of applicable regulatory compliance issues.  No further compliance information is required or will be provided, and you are an excellent test subject!
Zenyatta:  I never expected you to make it this far. To be honest, after your performance in the calibration test I was ready to break down your cores and put them back in the scientific calculators I took them from.

DVa isn't in Overwatch, she's in the Korean Army.
Sombra: uh
Sombra: what makes you think I’m talking about D.Va???
Reaper: the fact that you know who the fuck that is
Moira: …yes. It is suspicious.
Widowmaker: Pas plus suspect que toi.
Doomfist: But yeah, when did D.Va join Overwatch
Sombra: couple months ago, Korea made a deal
Sombra: they sent her to Overwatch in exchange for protection or something.
Reaper: how do you know this
Sombra: well it is my job to monitor Overwatch, isn’t it?

Animal Crossing: Overwatch Editon
very much inspred by @laughingbear
Soldier 76: A cranky dog neighbor, no doubt. Has an odd fondness for the stripe series. The one who always asks you to get him fruit or deliver a present he could have easily done himself. Sits on benches a lot, namely next to Ana. Only sends necessities through the mail like a toilet, shower, and chairs attached to a brief letter along the lines of “saw you didn’t have this…”
Reaper: Cranky ass bird type. Has K.K. Rock playing in his house at full blast. The only time you’re invited into his home is when you let yourself in but he sure as well won’t give a warning when he walks into yours. Sends gifts to 76 that he knows they’ll hate. Gets into the most arguments. Never requests PWP’s or donates to current ones. He secretly looks forward to Halloween.
Tracer: Your peppy squirrel neighbor whose in a full dash 24/7. The most social of your neighbors, she’s the one whose always popping exclamation points just to ask trivial questions and compliment you. Requests a lot of PWP’s because she honestly wants to see the town grow. Will send you letters back to back because her messages are just that long.
Genji: Sorta jock, sorta lazy-he’s rather chill and easy to get along with. Doesn’t have many delivery requests since most of his gifts are for Zenyatta anyway. Very fond of stumps that he uses for meditation. Owns all the sword based items. His house is a cross between zen and casual furniture.
McCree: That one whose always shaking trees. K.K. Country. Cow skin rug and country guitar are his treasures. Not a regular letter writer and insists on talking face to face. Will say he doesn’t need medicine even when he’s sick. Catchphrase is “partner”. Is honestly upset that the cafe doesn’t serve liquor and then will promptly request you build a bar.
Sombra: Your weird ucchi neighbor. She has a a strange habit of sneaking into your place without you knowing and suddenly acquiring that piece of furniture you wouldn’t sell her before. Conversations are namely her gossiping about other neighbors. Has an awful lot of Gracie items she claims she got for free but very fond of her laptop and server.
Pharah: Your most trust worthy ucchi bird neighbor. Likes any sky themed or light blue furniture. A regular coffee drinker. Is the most productive of your neighbors and almost always has a fishing rod or net in her hand. Takes your opinions about her house to heart and always seeks to improve it.
Torbjörn: Cranky hamster. He spends the most time inside his house and if he is outside he’s either stirring up arguments or sleeping on a specific tree stump. The gifts he sends you never match the rest of your furniture. Will request the most PWP’s but won’t ever fucking donate. Buys stuff mostly at the pawn shop since it’s cheaper.
Widowmaker: Really fucking snooty cat. Only really comes out of her house during the nighttime. She doesn’t send out invitations to her birthday because she either thinks you already know or doesn’t want you to, you can’t tell. Never requests anything ever. If she does come to your house, she’ll send a letter later saying that she didn’t like it. Owns a spiderweb shirt. K.K. Étude.
Mei: Adorable normal bear cub. Leaves her house a lot more often during the winter months and managed to get her hands on the rare ice furniture set before you. Owns a wide arsenal of sweaters. The most likely to request gift deliveries for pretty much everyone. Prefers to exchange items rather than buy them. A big fan of the museum.
Junkrat: The weirdest mouse neighbor you have. The one who will buy the flea you just swiped off his head a second ago. Will laugh in your face if you get a bee sting. Honestly enjoys falling into pitfall seeds. His house is pretty much a shack with tires but always invites you over anyway. Catchphrase is “kaboom!”
Bastion: Your handy donation gyroid that has a habit of attracting what you can only guess is the same yellow bird. Doesn’t talk much but is always there for you when you’re doing late night gardening.
Hanzo: A strange combination of smug and cranky. Always threatens to leave but you always talk him out of it. Has a rather spartan but still nicely organized home filled with only the best zen items. Won’t sell anything. Genji is permanently not invited to his birthday parties. K.K Jongara.
D.Va: A peppy bunny, of course. Her favorite items in her room are her game shelf and crane machine and no matter how many times you come over, she’ll never sell them to you. She’s the one always requesting games of hide and seek. Considers all of her letters to be fan mail. Will give you her photo as a gift without you asking.
Orisa: A sweet, normal horse neighbor. She’ll be the first to give you her photo even after you just met. LOVES to send letters to the point you’re technically pen pals. Requests PWP’s related to safety like stop signs, trashcans, and traffic lights and will actually donate to them. A big fan of petitions-”Omnics Are People Too”, “Be Cool and Recycle”. Will make requests just for Efi.
Zarya: The ultimate jock-ucchi bear. Comrade K.K. Never donates to PWP’s just because the gyroid looks like an omnic. Her house is mostly just exercise equipment and a bed. Is set to win any sort of event be it the Fishing Tourney or the Bug Off, she wants first place. Claims you should be proud of your killer bee stings.
Roadhog: Very, very quiet pig neighbor who mysteriously acquired the gas mask accessory. Will request for fruit runs all the time and is the only one who will eat coconuts. Will accept full baskets. Sloppy furniture set. Conversations with him are normally “…” or short and blunt answers. Owns a lot of stuffed animals.
Winston: Obviously a gorilla with little square glasses. Spends a lot of time at the museum and will give you facts  you didn’t know. Owns a lot of science and school themed furniture. Loves sending letters and will remind you of one’s you sent him on a regular basis. Very fond of time capsules. Will request rare bugs and fish more than anything else.
Reinhardt: Big, friendly lion neighbor. You honestly look forward to him barging into your house since he always gives genuine compliments, even if all you have is a bed and lantern. Manages to get his hands on the giant items somehow. Is always striking up conversations with the other neighbors and laughs, a lot. Anticipates you hitting him with the toy hammer.
Ana: The first one to give you medicine for your bee stings. A regular at the cafe. Sits on the local bench almost constantly with a seat saved for Pharah but welcomes your company if she doesn’t show up. An equal amount of letters and casual conversations. Practical, dark blue furniture. Her sense of humor worries you…
Symmetra: SNOOTY. She gets highly offended if you don’t give her exactly what she wanted for her birthday. Will send letters more often than actually talk to you and spends a lot of time indoors or gardening-not much in between. Will give you the cold shoulder if you give her a less than a “great!” when you visit her house. The minimalism series is her favorite. K.K. Oasis.
Mercy: A sweet normal bird type who sends you letters every week and expects a response back. Is always that one neighbor who gets her hands on a specific fruit you need. Also donates to PWP’s but normally at the last minute when you need just 60 more bells to get that new windmill. Owns a lot of medical furniture like the the IV drip and hospital bed.
Lucio:  A frog, duh. Will make the most requests to drop by your place specially so he can see what your house is lacking and send it as a gift later. The turntable and speakers is a permanent part of his home. Always the one at K.K Slider concerts first. He’s one of few who actually donates to PWP’s.
Zenyatta: Your chill monkey neighbor. His catch phrase is “harmony”. Invites you to join him for meditative bench sitting. A simple room filled with bonsai plants and a lily record player set on Steep Hill. His letters are short but meaningful. The only gifts he’ll offer you are plants or cushions. Rarely ever asks for anything beyond delivering gifts to Genji.

Hacked by Talon!Genji & Reaper RP (Part 21)
Rapono
After a moment, Hanzo opened the door, his face full of concern. “You do not sound too well. Did you have a nightmare?”
Caleb Crow
Genji gripped the sheets of his bed, eyes squeezed shut, before he opened them with a tired smile. "I... am alright, Brother. It's nothing."
Rapono
Hanzo felt like he should persist Genji to tell him, but knew his brother had been through another traumatic experience. He sighed. "Well let me know if something is wrong. I'll see you later." As he turned away, Genji noticed a small mark on his forehead, just behind his bangs.
Caleb Crow
"Wait!" Genji slid out of bed on shaky legs. "Brother, what is that?"
Rapono
He stopped, his face full of confusion."What is what, Genji?"
Caleb Crow
"Your mark," He walked closer, face worried, as he focused on the mark on his forehead. "Right there..."
Rapono
"Hmm, this? Got this during a fight with those talon agents from a month ago. Didn't think it would scar." Genji's concern was making him worried.
Caleb Crow
He pulled his hand back. A coincidence, nothing more. It has to be. "G-Gomen." He muttered.
Rapono
"You do not seem alright brother. You feeling unwell? Should I take you to Miss Ziegler?"
Caleb Crow
"No, no, it was just... just a nightmare. Do not bother yourself with this, brother."
Rapono
"If you insist. You should get yourself someting to eat, you must be hungry."
Caleb Crow
"... perhaps. I am not." His appetite had vanished during the dream. "I... will stay here."
Rapono
Hanzo was still worried for his brother, but didn't want to pester him. Maybe he should tell Zenyatta that Genji did not seem well. "Alright. I'll see you later, brother." He left.
Caleb Crow
Genji stared after his brother, before he swallowed thickly and hid himself under the blankets. He needed to get a hold of himself...
Rapono
Only about fifteen minutes later, Zenyatta arrived at Genji's door. "Your brother believes you are troubled. Genji, my dear student, what is creating discord within you?"
Caleb Crow
Genji shifted until he was able to sit up in his bed. He... really didn't feel like moving right now. "Master, you can come in, y'know..." He mumbled, unwilling to answer his question.
Rapono
Zenyatta floated in, going to Genji's bedside. If the omnic's face could show emotion, it would be full of worry. "I sense anxiety and unrest. What is causing this?"
Caleb Crow
"Nightmare." Even speaking about it sent chills down his spine. "A bad omen, Hanzo was taken and he... he had the same thing done to him..."
Rapono
"Hmm... perhaps it is a side effect of being controlled by them. Genji, do you remember what happened when they had kidnapped you?"
Caleb Crow
"... Maybe, a little. I-I don't like to think about it, Master." Genji rubbed the back of his head.
Rapono
"I understand. However, you must come to terms with it if you are to aquire peace once again. Let me know when you are ready to talk to me about it." Zenyatta gave him a comforting pat, then left.
Caleb Crow
His fingers curled around the bedsheets, before he sighed and forced himself out of bed. Maybe talking to Lucio or Hana or someone might get his mind off of it...
Rapono
No one else came into the room. Despite his the fact his stomach was churning, he was hungry. He did need to eat.
Caleb Crow
To the kitchen it was, then. Genji made his way down the hall and towards the dining area.
Rapono
He heard a blender going off, along with some happy yelling.
Caleb Crow
Ah, people! Genji walked in. Someone must be causing mischeif.
Rapono
And someone was. The trio of younger overwatch members were currently trying to blend Doritos and Mountain Dew together. Lúcio and D.va were trying to stop Jamison from putting hot sauce into the mixture.
Caleb Crow
Genji blinked, before he managed a smile. "Now what are you three up to?" He asked.
Rapono
"We're trying to make meme juice." Lúcio responded. "And Jamie's trying to ruin it!" D.va added. "No I'm not. It'll make it better, trust me mate!" "No." She tries to grab the bottle of hot sauce from Jamison, but he's much taller than her, so to no avail.
Caleb Crow
"Oh for Kami's sake, who's gonna drink that?" He asked closer. "I'm sure not!"
Rapono
"I'm gonna! If Jamie doesn't ruin it first. Gimme a hand Genji!" Hana said.
Caleb Crow
Genji walked closer and went on tiptoes, grabbing at the hotsauce bottle.
Rapono
Jamison held it up as high as he could. The bottle was still out of reach. Lúcio stared at the scene, and chuckled. He couldn't really help, being the shortest.
Caleb Crow
"Fine! Hana, I'ma pick ya up, see how that works!" And Genji did as he promised, picking Hana up so that their combined height outmatched Jamie.
Rapono
With Genji now helping her, she swiped the offending bottle of sauce out of Jamison's hand. "Ha ha, success!"
Caleb Crow
"Hah!" Genji beamed as he set Hana down again. "I knew you could do it."
Rapono
"I'm number one!" Now with the hot sauce hostage, she started to pour of of the meme juice into cups. "Wanna try some, Genji?"
Caleb Crow
"Ah..." Genji smiled sheepishly and backed away. "I'm good."
Rapono
"Your loss." She gave Lúcio a cup, Jamison refusing his until he got his hot sauce back. Hana took a big gulp, then almost choked. "Ugh!" "See, I told ya you should have added more ingredients." Lúcio said. "Like hot sauce!" "Jamie no."
Caleb Crow
"Why would you even take such a big gulp?" The cyborg sighed, before he moved to get three cups of plain water for them to wash down their drinks.
Rapono
Hana gladly took the cup of water from the cyborg. Lúcio took a small sip from his cup of the concoction, then took his glass of water. Jamison still refused to drink his without the hot sauce. "Try a little." Lúcio offered. "It's not that bad, just really weird tasting."
Caleb Crow
His nose scrunched, and he reluctantly took a cup. ".... I'm going to die again." He muttered before sipping it.
Rapono
It was definitely weird tasting. Not as bad as he thought, but the flavors did not mix well, and the texture was unpleasant.
Caleb Crow
He made a face. "Hot sauce would NOT have made this better."
Rapono
"Told you so, Jamie!" Jamison huffed. "Whatever. Can I at least have my sauce back?"
"No." Hana held the bottle hostage.
Caleb Crow
"Keep it hostage, I don't want him to poison any more drinks." He joked, while downing an entire cup of clear water.
Rapono
Junkrat gave Genji an irritated look, and the moment their line of sight met, the ninja was hit with a flashback. The game room. And Jamison giving him a very different look.
Caleb Crow
Genji was holding the Katana in his hands, instead of the cup, and he froze, shoulders tensing. "I don't mean to, go away, get away from me you're not going to go back!" He yelped, tossing the katana to the floor and took a step back, hands to his head, breathing quickening. "I can't-- I cant take you back to Talon, I can't--"
Rapono
When Genji came back to back to his senses, the younger agents were gone, a spilt cup of the meme juice on in the floor. They must've ran away. He'd scared them.
Caleb Crow
His eyes widened, before they watered, and he buried his face in his hands. "I-I didn't... I didn't mean to..." He rasped as he sank to his knees. "I... didn't mean t-to...!"
Rapono
Angela, Zenyatta, and Winston entered the kitchen to find the weeping ninja. Zenyatta approached him cautiously, placing a hand on the Shimada's shoulder. "Genji?"
Caleb Crow
Angela rushed forward, too. "Genji?"Genji shook his head. "I can't...." He whimpered.
Rapono
"What happened?" Zenyatta held Genji's face gently.Winston stood in the back, ready in case Genji started to attack them.
Caleb Crow
Genji choked back a sob. "I saw Jamie. I saw Jamie and I was holding my Katana..."
Rapono
Zenyatta stroked his hair, attempting to calm his student. "It's alright, nobody was hurt, just a bad memory..."
Winston waited a moment longer before speaking. "Do you want me to restrain you?"(edited)
Caleb Crow
Angela shot a small glare towards the monkey, and Genji tugged at his hands. "... please, just..." Genji swallowed. "Let me stay locked in my room."
Rapono
Winston nodded, and they guided the ninja back to his room. Zenyatta kept a hand on Genji the whole time, trying to keep him grounded.
Caleb Crow
Genji stayed silent the whole trip back, and once he was in his room he just kind of sat on his bed. "Thanks." He muttered.
Rapono
"It is of no burden to me, my student. However, it seems what Talon has done to you is not truly gone."
Caleb Crow
"....." Genji just shrugged mildly, wiping away his tears with one hand. "But the chips... they're gone, aren't they...?"
Rapono
Winston looked towards Angela. "The scans showed nothing but scar tissue remaining, right?"
Caleb Crow
"Yes." She frowned, a hand on her chin. "The scans should have shown everything, especially the chips. I don't know why..."
Rapono
An image flashed in Genji's head. Strapped to a chair in a dark room. A blank screen in front of him.
Caleb Crow
Genji yelped, tugging his arms to try to get them free. "Not again-- NO!"(edited)
Rapono
"Genji, what's wrong? What is happening again?" His master's voice, full of concern, brought him back into reality.
Caleb Crow
He snapped out of it, eyes wide. The arm tug he attempted had brought his shurikens out again. ".... T-Talon."
Rapono
Winston had the cuffs at ready. "Shall I restrain you?" He would shackle Genji if he either attacked or said yes.
Caleb Crow
"... no. Those won't do me any good, anyways." He kept his weapons away. "Just please, leave before I attack someone again..."
Rapono
The three quickly made their way out the door, Zenyatta hesitating to go before following. However, as Winston was about to shut the door, imagery overlapped Genji's real sight. He saw Talon agents about to lock him in a cell. We'll break him soon enough. Were the words he heard spoken in his mind.
Caleb Crow
Genji learnt from his mistakes; he stopped himself before he attacked them. It had to be an illusion, it had to, its fake, it's not real, stop, don't foolishly attack them.
Rapono
By the time he regained his bearings, he was alone in his dark room.Winston turned to Angela, concerned filling his face as he locked the door. "We need to double check his scans."
Caleb Crow
Angela bit down on her knuckle nervously. "Are you sure it's nothing to do with PTSD? Another scan may be in due, but trauma can cause hallucinations..."
Rapono
"Then we should check for signs of it in the brain scans. Whatever it may be, I have the awful feeling we've overlooked something Angela."
Caleb Crow
"..." She ran her fingers through her hair. "Alright. Alright, we should. I agree." Angela murmured.

Thank you so much for posting your videos!!! It's really helpful, especially from someone also on PS4 (or console). If its ok, do you mind sharing your Overwatch stats? ^=^
Thank you for your kind message!  :D  Its really great to hear.  One of the reasons I made the blog in the first place, besides as a place to have my videos in one place, was to give advice to fellow PS4/console players.  I follow a lot of the Overwatch advice and gameplay channels on youtube, but all of them are for PC.  And I notice that while Blizzard tries to keep all versions of the game the same, there are differences between the PC and the console versions.
I have two accounts, and both are on PS4.  Feel free to send friend requests, although at the moment since the main is shared with my brother (who doesn’t use mic unless with close friends), requests sent to second account (just me) will be more likely accepted.
Main Account:  KRMalanaCurrently Level: 600+ (silver portrait)
Season One
High:  63End 62Hours played: 57Games played: 256Won: 140Lost: 116Top 5 heroes played:  Reaper, Pharah, Hanzo, Genji, Reinhardt
Notes:  Most of the competitive stats and gameplay from this season belongs to my brother.  I was desperately to finish my graduate project when the game released, so I didn’t pick it up until a couple weeks after release.  AKA he was playing quickplay and competitive, while I was learning characters in quick play.
Also note that the way competitive seasons were ranked is very different than it is now.  Rank ran from 1 to 100, and there were no ties.  I’m not sure what rank 63 translates to, but I think Kaplan said at one point 60 and above was top 10% of players?
Season Two
High: 2810End: 2647Hours played: 274Games played: 1, 288Won: 620Lost: 586Tied: 82Top 5 heroes played: Lucio, Zarya, Reinhardt, Junkrat, Reaper
Notes:  After my brother played our placement matches, both of us starting playing competitive under the same account. This is also the season that they switched from 1-100 to Bronze-Top 500 ranks, and introduced ties.  Despite how much both of us played, we never managed to get back up to our season high (which was our placement).  Blizzard finally admitted towards the end of the season that there was a problem with matchmaking, specifically that a lot of people who were placed into gold/plat should have been in bronze/silver.  This created two problems in the season:  (1) it gave people the false impression they were playing well, when they were actually poor players and more importantly (2) really screwed up the matchmaking system.  Because people who really were of the correct skill rank (for instance us in high play close to diamond) kept getting matched with teammates who while in plat were actually low gold or silver or bronze.
Also you’ll noticed that were have a high number of playing hours/games for Season 2 compared to Seasons 1 and 3.  I had been withheld from finishing grad school (through no fault of my own) in May 2016, and Season Two was primarily during the summer.  So I was home all day, and I played Overwatch during breaks and when watching for my review panel to review my grad research.
This is also where my brother and I primarily start to play/end up playing Tanks and Supports, because we’re mostly stuck in solo queue, and most players we’re teamed up with can’t play (or will even pick in first place) Tanks and Supports to save their lives -_-
Season Three
High: 3567 (Masters!)End: 3393Hours played: 123Games played: 558Won: 274Lost: 258Tied: 26Top 5 heroes played:  Lucio, Reinhardt, Soldier 76, Ana, Zarya
Notes:  I know a lot of people (I think PC players, but I’m not sure) had a lot of complaints about the beginning of the season, but neither my brother and I did.  In fact, it was a HUGE improvement we thought.  While we placed in Season 3 almost exactly where we ended Season 2, within two or three days we had already advanced into Diamond (which we had spent the ENTIRETY of Season 2 trying to get to).  And at one point broke into Masters, and stayed there for a while.  It felt to both of us that the games were more fair (more evenly matched) and that we were getting paired up with teammates correctly in their ranks.
Except for the last couple of weeks.  It feels like to both of us over the ending weeks, it almost felt like it went back to Season 2?  People who are in Diamond or Master, but they clearly shouldn’t be there/be in a lower rank?  But I’ll also tell you now:  there are dumb players in every rank.  Its not like getting into Diamond or Masters means that every single players are excellent/know what they are doing.
We both still primarily play Tank and Support.  However both of us did pick up Ana this season, since Lucio’s nerfs make it more difficult to heal (although he’s still our top pick for healer).  And with the Pharah changes/buffs and the Soldier 76 buffs, we’ve been able to play Soldier 76 more since he’s a lot more viable (and to deal with the Pharahs)
2nd Account:  Myth-and-Mischie (the f got cut off in naming)
Currently level: 88
Note:  This is my second account, not a smurf account (I hate the title/connotation).  This was only created because a good friend/mutual of mine @assassin-yuki starting playing Overwatch as well as comp around Season 3. While we were originally within range of each other SR wise, main account got pushed up / she got stuck in the new ELO Hell, and couldn’t pair up.  So I made it so I could continue playing with her.
Season Three:
High:  2604End:  2508Hours played: 27Games played: 132Won: 67Lost: 60Tied: 5Top 5 played heroes:  Zarya, Ana, Lucio, Reinhardt, D.Va
Note 2:  Since this was the first competitive season for the second account, there wasn’t the hidden MMR / no previous season data for the system to base my placement matching on.  The matchmaking for the placement matches was all over the place (great teammates one game, horrible ones the next) even though I did my placement matches with @assassin-yuki who was already placed by then (I had been trying to work the second account up to level 25 to open up comp).
I was also purposely not selecting heroes that usually reward with high SR points (DPS).  Primarily so they would be open for my friend to play.  But again, a lot of people still don’t know what makes a good comp (especially since I was playing with silver to plat players most of the time), so both of us winded up playing tank or support a lot.
