I’m working on my human anatomy some more while working on other projects. So enjoy this goofy thing I couldn’t get out of my head. Based on that “Immortal/Revenant Sparrow” post I wrote weeks ago.
I’m unreasonably proud of that first drawing ngl.

Sparrow sighed, and moved to the window, growing older with each step. It was an adult that looked out at the pathway. “It really does all point to the music box doesn’t it. I suppose I should continue with the set path. Will you try and stop me, Rose? Rose?” He turned around, and was surprised to see her gone.
comm for @serenefig !!

Ok so I was searching the internet for fable stuff as one does, and for some reason I decided to search what the meaning behind a heart under the eye was because I was confused why Reaver has one and I found this.
Tumblr media
excuse me
GRIEF?!?!!
Now this could mean he’s grieving oakvale and the ‘her’ he refers to in his diary entries. However, if this is the case, why doesn’t he have one in fable 2? considering that it’s been like 200 years since the fall of oakvale.
Now who was alive in fable 2 but isn’t in Fable 3 and who was also very closely associated with Reaver?
SPARROW!
spreaver fans go wild, cuz I’ve been going absolutely feral over this little theory thing of mine.
(P.S, I have seen some stuff saying it’s a symbol for the shadow court but I don’t know how credible that is and I’m only talking about the grief bit)

A weird thought process/realization I came to on my daily walk. So, in Fable 2 you can’t actually die, right? You lose experience and stuff and get a new scar, but it’s not like Fable 1 where you straight-up die and have to start over from your last save. And the game deliberately points out that you “cheat death” multiple times.
But, being a game, you don’t have to really deal with things like spending a week healing from a severe gunshot wound or deep balverine cuts. But how does this logistically work in-universe? We know that Heroes/people with Heroic blood are more robust/can handle more than the typical human… but we know that heroes can die. They’re not immortal. But, throughout Fable 2, Sparrow/HoB basically IS immortal (until they’re suddenly not some time before Fable 3.)
So, either Sparrow/HoB is just INCREDIBLY lucky (ie. each time they get shot it misses vital organs, swords never hit any important tendons/arteries, they always land just right without breaking bones, etc.) OR, they have a Deadpool-esque healing factor where it doesn’t matter what you do or how much damage you cause. They. Just. Can’t. Die. Like, you shoot them in the head, they drop, and when you turn back towards the body they’re just standing there suddenly not dead and incredibly pissed off with a fireball in one hand, sword in the other.

he has a band tattooed on each arm, one of an acorn, one of a blade for Hammer and Garth respectively. He has the rose on his back, and a guild seal on his ribs (under his arm in this image), for Theresa, because whilst they have a complicated relationship he loves her.
he has various other pieces of art that he enjoys tattooed

Crying screaming and throwing up at the idea of the first words Hammer hears from Sparrow, who almost never talks, who didn't say a word to her during their time in the wellspring cave, to be "I'm so sorry" because they weren't fast enough to save her father, and they know so intimately what this type of loss, in this way is like, and they would have done anything to keep Hammer from knowing too.

Was talking to my friend about the absolute greatness of the sweet sweet found family trope when I realised how close we were to that in fable 2 but then it gets smashed into thousands of little shards (hah get it) when the three heroes just off to some distant lands and Theresa the one that had been there for you, practically raised you then goes yeah you can fuck off now I'm done with you
But hey at least we get found family in fable 3 with Walter (dad), jasper, Page and Ben Finn
