Also, do the saiyans purr? If so how often do they purr, would it be common for the s/o, or more of a surprise?
Saiyans purring is mostly reserved for their mate and offspring, if they're products of love. If its purely for breeding purposes, then Saiyans dont really purr.
Goku purrs at any sign of affection. He doesn't see any reason to stop himself from purring, so he doesnt, so he is a rare case among his kind. Usually his purr is felt rather than heard, which is odd that hes so naturally loud with such a quiet purr.
Vegeta will have to physically stop himself from purring when his mate gives him affection. He doesn't like purring cause he thinks it's a sign of weakness, but maybe, just maybe, if you scratch under his chin just right, he'll let out a purr. Only if your alone though.
Raditz is like an overgrown house cat. You reach your hand towards him with the intent of giving him affection, and his tail is wagging behind him, with the sound of his purr filling the room. Hes also not shy about it, King Vegeta himself could be in the room, but if hes getting affection, hes purring.
Bardock will ONLY purr for his mate and offspring. His purr will only be felt in public, but in private, you can hear the rumble from his chest a whole room over. He'll stop letting it be heard if you mention it though, so it's best to keep that to yourself.
Gine is another overgrown house cat, but unlike Raditz, she doesn't need affection to purr. She purrs when she cooks, her tail gently swaying behind her. She purrs when she lounges around the house, content with just enjoying the day. She purrs when shes content in general, so you'll probably hear her purr often.
Broly is kinda like Gine, he purrs when hes content as well as when hes given affection. Although usually, hes not really content unless hes being given affection. Hes rather alert to his surroundings, so when his s/o just holds him, he feels safe enough to purr.
HA! Turles purring us unheard of. You'd sooner see him die than hear him purr. Beg and plea all you'd like, but he will not purr. Hes mastered the art of holding back his purrs, but you might hear something akin to a purr while hes reveling in the glory of another planet successfully destroyed.

I was wondering if you can do a yandere goku hc, but like goku who didn’t get hit in the head so he’s kinda more aggressive, violent, and not so child like? basically he didn’t hit his head as a child so his personality doesn’t switch?
Tumblr media
Okay so like, a straight answer would be for me to just tell you that this is just Turles, because that’s exactly why Turles was introduced, to be the kinda “what-if?” with Goku. But I’m not, because I love Turles too much to admit such tomfoolery. The man’s got thunder thighs that you just can’t question, alright?
Taking Turles out of the equation makes this a much more complicated matter, and so that everyone can understand my reasonings about this set-up, I’ll explain a bit about his rewritten past first.
What might be surprising to you is that I don’t believe Goku’s journey would change as much. Grandpa Gohan would still find and raise him, and it’s likely that he’d still die by the same reasons.
At this point it should be established that when Goku hit his head, he probably suffered amnesia as well, hence why he can’t remember Bardock or Gine, so by not suffering that injury, he’ll still know some their faces at the least and his own name, which would remain Kakarot.
He would still be taught about morals and honor, taking on Gohan Sr. as more of a martial arts master than a parental figure, and when Gohan died, Kakarot would want to seek out a new master. Curiously enough, he’d never have the need to destroy earth, because as it was discovered in the Broly movie, he was never sent there for that purpose. If anything, it’d be better to compare him to an orphaned and estranged young boy with no set purpose and no way to find out where he came from.
And this is why he’d go the most likely route of seeking the martial arts. Saiyans are a fighting breed, so it would make sense that he’d want to get stronger just by following his blood instinct.
It’s unlikely that he’ll ever meet Bulma, and if he ever met Yamcha.... well, poor yamcha.
From adolescence to late teens, he’d be taking on a multitude of masters, and learning from them until he felt that they had nothing left to offer him. His skills would be much sharper than the other goku because of how serious he takes fighting.
A sense of pride and cockiness may develop from this over-powered strength. He thinks himself to be superior to everything else considering he’ll still know of his saiyan heritage. The only way someone would then be able to earn his respect would be by having equal strength or skill.
In his free time, when he isn’t training, he tests his battle smarts in tournaments, plus the money earned isn’t half bad.
And this is when you come into the equation, Dearest.
As we’ve established, Goku can only respect someone if they’re respectively strong. The same will be said about you. You’ll have to impress his ego before he’ll even consider something.
You’d meet him as a late teen, the best bet being a World Tournament, with you as a contestant. Even something as small as landing a single punch will pique his interest, and he’ll want to push your skills to reflect his. Instead of being the student, he’ll become the teacher, whether you want his guidance or not.
His intentions are good by default, however he’ll discover kindling desires for you the more your relationship develops, and he’ll soon be too attached to let you go.
But not to worry, Darling, he may be possessive and obsessed with you, but Kakarot is a tad more refined than his amnesiac counterpart. You’ll be happy with him.
He’s not a traditional romantic, but let’s say... he has a more open imagination. You’ll be able to do so much more with him than regular Goku.
Just don’t make him angry. His fuse will be shorter, more things will set him off, particularly if it pertains to you.
You see, my dear, the biggest distinction between Kakarot and Goku is guilt. Kakarot has no desire to be a merciful or kind person unlike Goku, which translates to how he treats anything that may be deemed a threat to your safety.
If someone tries to advance on you, he’ll be there to protect you. But he’s a sadistic man, and he’ll want to teach them a good lesson on their behavior before putting them out of their misery for good.
So, when Raditz arrives to recruit Kakarot, whatever Raditz expects to be done with you will decide if he lives or not. But the more likely outcome will be that he doesn’t care if Kakarot wants to bring a plaything. He may even recruit you if your skills hold up. The alignment won’t last, however. Goku and Vegeta have too much in common, too much to clash with, and considering Kakarot isn’t his old friendly self, you can imagine what Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz’s fates will be.
You’ll be free to roam the universe, Kakarot’s draw to power will lead him to eventually ruling it, most likely, and you’ll be there with him every step of the way. He has no need to prove his undying love to you because he knows just how hopeless your chances of escape are. And so do you, he’ll see to reminding you every so often.
Okay, i don’t know how this one really turned out, but more Piccolo is coming out next! Maybe later today, I haven’t decided yet...
Also! I’ve been thinking about situational hcs or snippets of actual writing instead of hcs, what do yall think?
Check out my other stuff!

If Goku made it in time to help out Gohan, Tien, Chaotzu, Krillin and Piccolo to beat Nappa and Vegeta, what would happen if both of those saiyans left Earth? And what happens if Earth's Special Forces never went to Namek and kept on using the Dragon Balls they already have (especially if the gang can just use those things to resurrect Yamcha after he was killed by a Cyberman)?
Sorry I took so long to answer! I wanted to give this some thought before I replied 😅
The short answer is I don’t know but it would have been a totally different story lol. There are a lot of variables in this what if, and it definitely would have changed a LOT in later sagas to say the least
A big sticking point for me would be how the fight would have progressed had Goku arrived before Nappa killed the other Z fighters. Or well, Piccolo, since Tien and Chiaotzu sorta killed themselves. There are a lot of different ways this could have played out, and I’m gonna try to lay out the ones I think might be the most viable. I’m not going to talk about a scenario in which the Z fighters ganged up on the Saiyans because that’s just not really a thing that happens in the series as a general rule. The good guys are terribly concerned with honor and fairness, and so I don’t think they all would have jumped in to fight all at once. At the very least, I don’t think Goku would have allowed it. It likely would have been two on two at the most, and then it would have been Goku and Piccolo vs Vegeta and Nappa.
First, there is a question of how far Goku might have been in his training had King Kai not lost track of time. This all depends on how soon he would have left. The only reason he gets back down Snake Way so quickly is because he’s panicking, so it stands to reason that, if King Kai had been paying attention, he probably would have sent Goku on his way a week or so before the arrival date. Had Goku left sooner, there’s a possibility that he might not have mastered kaio-ken, which was absolutely essential to defeating both Saiyans. Now of course time means literally nothing in this universe, so I could be COMPLETELY off-base with this, but just humor me for a sec.
Anyway, If he hadn’t mastered kaio-ken, then one of two things might have happened. One, he could have just not been able to effectively use the technique, and Vegeta likely would have won without needing to transform. Two, he might have been able to use it, but perhaps not for long and/or not multiplied. Now, Goku is a skilled fighter and probably could have held his own with intermittent use of the technique, so the question becomes one of whether he would have been able to successfully back Vegeta into a corner and force him to transform. Vegeta using a power ball to transform is pivotal in the fight, because the only thing that actually stops him is Gohan’s own transformation. So if Goku hadn’t been able to force him into using that last resort, our hero probably would have lost. A third option would be that the technique would have just ripped his body apart, which is why I’m not elaborating on that one lol. So if he hadn’t had a chance to fully master kaio-ken, he more than likely would have lost, which would have resulted in the destruction of all life on earth.
There is something to be said of Nappa here. Goku doesn’t use kaio-ken in the fight with Nappa, so the fight likely would have played out the same as canon. In this case, then, it would depend on if he were able to break Nappa’s back without kaio-ken, resulting in Nappa’s death at Vegeta’s hand. Nappa died because he disobeyed Vegeta’s order to stand down and attacked Gohan and Krillin. Goku uses kaio-ken to intercept the attack and snaps Nappa’s spine, paralyzing him, which prompts Vegeta to kill him.
I’m not covering the Spirit Bomb as it relates to the Saiyan saga because it didn’t fucking work and was a giant waste of time. It really doesn’t matter until the Buu saga, and the gist of that is, if Goku hadn’t learned Spirit Bomb, Buu probably would have killed him and Vegeta and the entire universe would have been in peril for as long as Buu lived, which one assumes would be an eternity.
So now let’s assume that Goku arrives on time and he HAD mastered kaio-ken before leaving King Kai’s planet. I personally think the fight with Nappa would have played out exactly the same as canon had Tien and Chiaotzu survived. Tien and Chiaotzu, for all intents and purposes, do very little to help in the fight with Nappa as it stands in canon, and so I have no reason to believe that they would have changed that particular outcome. Nappa still would have lost to Goku, he still would have gotten pissed that he’d been so thoroughly humiliated by a low-class Saiyan in front of his prince, and he still would have tried to attack Goku’s friends/family. Goku’s reaction would have been the same, and thus Vegeta’s reaction as well.
But let’s say, for the purposes of this hypothetical, that Nappa does survive. There are two ways this might have happened. One, let’s say that Goku DOES break Nappa’s back, but Vegeta spares him. Maybe he called Nappa’s attack ball and sent him off to Frieza’s planet and out of harm’s way. In this scenario, the rest of the Saiyan saga would have progressed the same.
Two, let’s say that Nappa, for whatever reason, does has he is told and stands down. As I said before, I don’t see the Z fighters ganging up on the two Saiyans, so I think Goku vs Vegeta would have played out the same UNTIL Goku backs Vegeta into a corner. Perhaps Vegeta would have commanded Nappa to fight alongside him, and Goku would have teamed up with Piccolo or Krillin (but probably Piccolo). It’s hard to say how a fight like this might have played out. Either Goku and company would have lost and that would have been game over, or they would have pushed the Saiyans into transforming.
I truly believe that if both Vegeta and Nappa had transformed, that would have been it. One Oozaru was difficult enough, let alone two, and even if Gohan had transformed as well, there’s no way he would have stood a chance against two highly trained and experienced Oozaru, at least one of whom retained his ability to think and reason. Actually, depending on how Saiyan social structures work while in a transformed state, there’s a possibility that Gohan might have instinctively fallen in line behind a more dominant Oozaru, but that’s another post entirely.
But let’s assume that Yajirobe and/or Krillin manage to cut off both Vegeta’s and Nappa’s tails, and both of them are squished by Great Ape Gohan, and they both call their attack balls and leave.
This is actually where it gets really tricky.
There is a moral dilemma here that all depends on whether or not anyone actually thinks about the implications of the Saiyans mentioning Namek in the event that they themselves are unable to use Earth’s dragon balls.
Let’s assume first that the Z fighters DO realize that Namek is definitely going to be invaded by at LEAST the Saiyans, and they decide to go lend a hand since it’s basically Piccolo’s fault that they even know about the dragon balls in the first place. Lots of things could happen here, but let’s assume for the sake of brevity that everything plays out more or less the same. Vegeta and Nappa would have come back to earth, had kids, got redemption arcs, maybe wish back Raditz, and all is right and good with the world. Yay!
But, to finally get to the heart of your question, what if they don’t think about it at all, and the Z fighters never go to Namek? Then Frieza would have still gone to Namek and killed everybody. Vegeta and Nappa likely would have gone to Namek as well, and they would have been killed by Frieza. I honestly don’t see how the outcome could be any different in this scenario. And honestly, I don’t think Frieza would have bothered with earth if he’d never fought Goku, so that storyline would have been over.
If Vegeta had been killed on Namek and stayed dead, then Trunks would have never been born. Dr. Gero would have still been gunning for Goku, but there would have been no Trunks to come back to warn them about the androids. Sure, Bulma could have still built a time machine and maybe sent back Gohan or something, but honestly I think Gohan might have died with the other Z fighters. If Vegeta hadn’t been there to fight, Gohan might have had to step up and play a more involved role in the initial battle. In a scenario where Gohan takes Vegeta’s place and dies, then neither Gohan nor Trunks would have been around to defend Bulma and what’s left of Capsule Corp, and it’s possible that Bulma would have been killed as well, thus dooming any and all alternate timelines that might have been affected by the time machine. The story would have ended there and absolutely nobody would have been happy about it lol
It’s hard to say what might have happened in the Buu saga in this scenario. There would have been no one to defend and then wish back earth (and no way to do it besides), so if Babidi had unleashed Buu then earth would have just been destroyed or whatever it was he wanted to do (I honestly can’t remember and I haven’t gotten to the Buu saga yet in my little rewatch adventure lol)
I do like the idea of Nappa surviving and the Z fighters being like, “oh shit, we gotta help the Namekians.” I don’t think that particular scenario would have changed much outside of more half Saiyans being born, which would have been fun. I do genuinely think Nappa would have eventually wished back Raditz. He expressed interest in doing so, and he was much more sentimental than Vegeta, if his concern for the Saibamen is any indication. I could see him wishing back some of his friends too. Perhaps he might have wished back the two squadmates we see in Broly? That might have been fun. If he’d wished back Raditz, then perhaps Raditz would have wished back his parents. And of course, all these resurrected Saiyans might have been compelled to wish back their own friends and family (if they had any), but I digress
Aaaaanyway, I hope this answered your question! And thank you for asking! This was a lot of fun to think about ❤️❤️

What do you feel about the post about Vic mignogna by ultraericthered
https://ultraericthered.tumblr.com/post/183990672385/im-sick-of-the-rangers-spamming-vics-tag-with
Let’s break this down.
Vic is absolutely guilty of inappropriate behavior, misconduct, sexual harassment, and possibly (just possibly) sexual assault towards others. This has been established by his pattern of behavior for years. Monica and the others are being entirely honest in their stories and the allegations are very likely honest as well. How this is even in question, I have no idea, but it upsets and disturbs me that there are so many who are quick to jump to Vic’s defense while simultaneously vilifying his opponents and accusers (and possibly victims).
A, He hasn’t been proven guilty of exual harassment OR assault and inapporiate behavior means nothing.
And B. yeah, no. Monica has been lying via omission for months now, refusing to give ANY details on any incidents DESPITE the fact that those details are REQUIRED to convict him. And before you say she’s scared: she’s openly threatened vic supporters with legal action. Over asking her for info. That is not the behavior of an innocent person.
Oh and C. NOTHING came to light about Vic for MONTHS. The ProJared shit started and ended in the same month.
What gives credibility to the side of Monica Rial, Jamie Marchi, Jamie McGonnigal, Marzgurl, etc. is that not only do their words and allegations line up with accounts of Vic’s skeevy behavior towards fans and women that have been going around the internet for YEARS (It’s honestly astonishing just how far back some of this goes), but how many other VAs, people actually in the industry who might’ve worked alongside Vic and would be there to witness his actions, have come out in Vic’s defense? Can’t really think of much. Meanwhile, how many have been coming out in support of the alleged victims? Quite a handful, even J. Michael Tatum, himself a victim of sexual assault in the past. Apparently, Vic being a primadona and a skeevy womanizing creeper has been an open secret in the VA industry since forever.
And of these guys:
Monica has evaded legal action and refused to give details NECESSARY to convict him
Marzgurl has sactively ENOCURAGE VIOLENCE
And Jamie has been proven to bully people into dropping Vic from cons.
As for the ‘accounts”: they’re eitehr anonyomous accounts, too old to prove...or taken out of context of the people involed.
And by the way. how many famous people probably came out and said ‘that guy’s a commie’ back during the Red Scare? People coming out to help doesn’t MEAN anything without proof. People in the wrong can still come out in droves. And if that doesn’t convince: does that mean rape victims who don’t have public support while their rapists DO are the ones in the wrong then? Same logic of ‘One party has more public support than the other, therefore they’re right.’
What’s damning on Vic’s side of things? Well not only was a thorough investigation into the sexual harassment allegations conducted during the time of the Broly movie’s production prior to Funimation’s decision to lay Vic off (something his fans don’t even seem to realize happened) -
You mean the one where they didn’t give any info and was probably a ‘cut off the controversial figure for profit’ decision?
- but Vic’s response to the whole situation has…just not been how I think an absolutely innocent man getting his career and livelihood threatened by accusation of things he absolutely never did and would never do would respond. Vic’s been pretty sincere and professional throughout this and I give him props for that, but his “defenses” against the allegations have always been along the lines of “I remember things differently” or “I didn’t realize she felt that way - I thought that thing we had was consensual and mutual.” Of course he’s not going to recall those incidents as being ones where he committed sex offenses because he did not see his actions as being such when he committed them. He fails to recognize how and why his behavior is so wrong. He doesn’t knowingly think of himself as a sex fiend and harasser when he acts that way - he really thinks he’s being nice (backed up by the allegation where he repeatedly asked his victim to “let me be sweet to you.”). But those moments were not consensual. The girls and women he touched or romanced were not comfortable with it.-
And Monica has threatened legal action and Marzgurl thretaened PHYSICAL VIOLENCE.
You wanna judge this based on public reaction? Show me where Vic threatens anyone who questions him.
What his intentions were at the time don’t matter when put next against how his victims internalized his actions and how they were made to feel -
No, intentions DO matter. That’s why ‘self defense’ and ‘murder’ are different concepts.
And on top of that, look at how Monica Rial worded her own account:
Tumblr media
This, by contrast, is Vic’s wording of his side of things. He “got lazy.” He’s “a work in progress like everyone else.” And my personal favorite: “Voice actors are no different from you: we’re bozos. We’re all dumb humans just trying to do our best.” The emotions are sincere, but the words are unrefined and a bit try-hard in trying to paint a sympathetic image of himself.
And Monica, by your own standards, is trying to appeal to basic human empathy to trick people into believing her. Thing is, Vic is consistent in his actions. Monica has acted contradictory MANY times.
And what’s damning on the side of Vic’s fans and defenders? Well, I could not help but notice that they can be found all over Youtube, hive of the Far Right that it’s become-
Strike 1.
I also could not help but notice that whenever I clicked a video made for supporting Vic and tearing down his opposition and accusers (who, again, could very well be his victims), it was literally ALWAYS a dude speaking.
Strike 2.
It was always some man speaking in defense of this other man who he probably doesn’t even personally know in a situation he wasn’t there to experience and knows next to shit about, and demonizing “waamen” that he also doesn’t personally know. And in all of this, I have not once seen any valid reasoning for why Vic absolutely must be innocent of the allegations made against him other than “he’s a super popular, charming, beloved VA” and “he seems like such a nice guy”. It’s frankly quite terrifying that the immediate default for these people is to stand with the popular, prolific, powerful man (and I don’t want to be an SJW here, but that Vic is handsome, white, straight/cis, and Christian might be a huge part of it
Strike 3-
Not only is this gonna EMBOLDEN the assholes on Vic’s side-
But Monica’s defenders (like YOU) have focused on gender and bullshit instead of anything FACTUAL. You act like anyone whose accused of sexual assault is IMMEDIATELY guilty if the accuser is a woman and teh accused is a man. Never mind how most of these accusations come down to simple miscommunication between the parties and nevermind how if a guy tries coming to the police about being raped, it’s likely HE’LL be arrested. Let alone what happens if the woman gets pregnant and can sue for child support...even if she committed STATUTORY RAPE.
Oh, and Vic’s italian and that culture is very touchy feely. So guess what? You’re racist by your own logic.
and denounce the women who come forward to accuse him as being liars because this is exactly why women who are victimized by men of such power and popularity tend to NOT come forward with stories of their victimization immediately after it happens. Yes, anyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but that doesn’t mean the accusers should be denounced as liars and demonized for daring to mess with the man - they ought to be shown support and respect IF in the case what they say is true and they really were hurt by that man. If they’re proven liars beyond any doubt, THEN they can be given well deserved scorn. But brushing them off beforehand is Not OK. Especially if it’s with conspiracy theories about how this is some big coordinated feminist effort to tear down a great man and destroy his livelihood, or it’s a retaliation from yaoi fangirls who hate that Vic dares to be anti-yaoi and Conservative in regards to gay people.
And yet you condemn Vic before he is proven to be lying.
Sorry, either condemn yourself or be better.
These assclowns have also constantly resorted to the defense of “Oh, hugging other people and kissing them in places not on the lips totes isn’t sexual harassment”. Totally ignoring the little details of the girls getting the hugs typically being total strangers to Vic outside of being fans of his work who are thus underage girls being touched by a grown man who has absolutely no relation to them, that he might have done the same with female co-workers behind the scenes, and that he has done these things on a whim, without the recipient’s consent and without paying any mind to how it might make them feel.
Also ignoring if they give consent like that time someone tried portraying Vic touching a supposedly underage girl only to BACKFIRE as the womana spoke out in defense of the man.
This has been a consistent pattern of behavior with him,
Consistently unproven.
and allegedly, he’s justified it with saying “silence gives consent.” Like a girl or woman absolutely has to verbally say “no” or tell him outright that he’s making them feel uncomfortable for it to be considered wrong and unwarranted. Basically “a lack of a No makes it a Yes.” I can’t begin to describe how gross that is.
So Vic has to be a fucking MINDREADER or else.
Great to know, especially considering how my own condition would make this shit damn near impossible to see.
The worst part is how these IStandWithVic cultists demonize Monica Rial. A woman who, by her own admission, was a victim of rape as a teenager.
Says the man who demonizes Vic.
A woman who has shown nothing but emotional and intellectual honesty and kindness on social media, who has acknowledged that even Vic and his fans don’t deserve to be harassed and hurt, to the point of stating this:
https://twitter.com/Rialisms/status/1095156641543192576
Funny how she says this TWO DAYS LATER than your picture.
But she’s both painted as a vicious liar who’s out to destroy a good, innocent man’s life and career, and is ALWAYS being written off by these dudes as just “the VA for Bulma.” As though she’s had no other notable roles in her long career of voice acting aside from that one character (as opposed to the oh-so talented, versatile and legendary star that is Vic). As though that character has had only one English VA. As though Monica just plain doesn’t matter when put next to a fellow VA in the industry who happens to be a handsome white, straight/cis, Christian male.
Keep being a bigoted douchebag, I can hear the alt RIght cumming.
And as though Monica had any feasible reason to lie about her experiences with Vic and assassinate his character on social media.
*points at you and your blind defense of her*
the pro-Vic crowd seems to think she’s greedy or jealous or just resentful towards Vic as a person, and is out to get him so that she can get money or respect or more roles or petty revenge or whatever.
Literally change ‘vic’ to ‘monica and that’d describe you.
But if that were really the case, how does that account for the friends and family who support her claims? How does it account for the fellow VAs (Jamie Marchi, Jamie McGonnigal, J. Micahel Tatum, Josh Grelle, Justin Briner, Daman Mills) who’ve all supported her claims and have said “Yeah, Vic’s been like that forever.
‘Get social brownie points’
How does it account for the fans and congoers who have been sharing their stories of uncomfortable experiences and encounters they’ve had with Vic FOR YEARS?
‘Stories’ are not truth.
The deck is NOT stacked in Vic’s favor here, so “he’s successful, popular, funny, friendly, charming, talented and a classic VA who’s so well loved in the anime community” is NOT going to cut it as an assumption of his innocence or a defense for his character.
No, that’s the legal system that says ‘innocent until proven guilty.’
He needs to be held accountable for his misdemeanors against people who gave no consent to being touched, hugged, kissed, stalked, romanced, or squicked out by him.
And yet Monica threatening legal action and Marzgurl making THREATS OF VIOLENCE? A-Ok.
It’s a Michael Jackson type of situation - even if he’s NOT done the things he’s being accused of, that does NOT make his creepy behavior towards underage fangirls excusable or alright.
Funny thing about Micheal Jackson-
The accusations, when you actually pay attention, are complete bullshit. Events don’t line up, accounts vary wildly, facts contradict stories. And yet he STILL suffered until the day he died and BEYOND. So thanks for remindidng why, as much as I hate Yellow Flash, Hero Hei and Nick Riekta-
You idiots are the worse evil.
Tl;dr: I shall from now on be referring to this VA as “Vic Cosby Mignogna.” ‘Cause even if he’s not guilty of the heinous shit that Bill Cosby is guilty of, his case is still all too eerily similar.
#IStandWithMonica
So does that mean if I call Monica ‘Monikkka’- She’s a KKK member now?
Oh wait, you wouldn’t give two shits if the places were reversed would you? For your cry of ‘I’m not an SJW!’- You sure do sound like the fucking strawman it represents.

bluewavelengths replied to your post  “Dragon Ball Z Super Broly 4: The Quest for Peace”
I definitely get what u mean about checking boxes off with the minus stuff, it wasn’t really relevant to the broly plot line at all and started to feel a bit superfluous. When Frieza actually brought the big ball out I turned to my friend and was like how sick do you think they are of animating this scene over and over? But maybe all that seems less grating to the people who haven’t read minus or who haven’t kept up as much or at all since it explains how the main characters ended up where they r
I think there was a major effort to make this movie as accessible as possible to casual fans and new audiences who wouldn’t know all the lore behind Goku, Vegeta and Frieza.   I noticed a lot of dialogue explaining concepts that most of the movies took for granted, like scouters, the Dragon Balls, and so on.
I’m guessing the old movies never bothered with this because they were released during the anime’s original run on TV, so everyone involved probably felt safe in assuming the audience would be up to speed, but by now it probably doesn’t hurt to carefully explain some of this stuff.
Having said that, I think my biggest disappointment with the movie is that they basically adapted Dragon Ball Minus without really adding anything to it aside from the Broly and Paragus parts.  I had hoped we’d get more of Bardock and Gine, but we didn’t.    Bardock voicing his suspicions that Frieza might try to wipe them all out was a little too on the nose.   He painted such a complete picture that it sort of makes everyone else look like an idiot for not figuring it out themselves.
I’m not entirely wild about the Father of Goku special’s approach of giving Bardock clairvoyant visions of Frieza’s betrayal, though.    The trouble with that is that it makes Frieza’s intentions completely unpredictable, like the only way the Saiyans would ever see it coming would be to have the power to see into the future.   I don’t think it was that complicated, especially with how Frieza and the Saiyans have always been depicted as having an open distaste for one another.   The Saiyans should suspect Frieza of wanting to kill them even if the thought never crossed Frieza’s mind.
This is probably why my Bardock fanfic kind of stalled out, because I’ve been trying to combine DB Minus and Father of Goku into a single story, and maybe neither one really gets across what I want to see.
Like, okay, Frieza and the Saiyans hate each other, but Frieza finds the Saiyans useful, while the Saiyans don’t really have a choice, and Frieza’s not really making them do things they wouldn’t be doing already.   There’s a bit of a deadlock there, and that should be the focus of any story about how Planet Vegeta got destroyed.   Bardock picking up on it ahead of time should be possible, but not a given.    It doesn’t make him special if it’s obvious.  Likewise, giving him future visions only makes sense if the Saiyans trust Frieza too much to see him as a threat.
The movie just has Frieza treat the Saiyans with naked contempt, and then Bardock says “Hey, Frieza doesn’t really need us, so what if he's planning to kill us all?”   It lacks conflict.   The only person he even tries to convince is Gine, and she only goes along with it because it won’t be that much trouble to fetch their kid if Bardock turns out to be wrong.
It’s tension-free.  I like Frieza’s motives in FoG and DB Minus.   In the first, he’s concerned that the Saiyans might be getting stronger each time he uses them.   In the second, he’s concerned about the Super Saiyan legend.    But neither of these really sink in with the Saiyans.   Maybe they’re so used to the zenkai ability, and their legendary heroes, that they never consider Frieza would be bothered by them?
I don’t know, I’m kind of getting off track here.    What I do know is that it was pretty dull watching Frieza blow up the planet again, with nothing new added to it.
