Okay kids, sit down. I think things in the fandom space needs a little clarification.

Fan Artists and Fan Fiction writers are frustrated and upset about how the reblog rate has plummeted over the years as the rest of the internet moved to a 'hit the heart to help the algorithm'. Tumblr doesn't work that way. Likes don't do anything for a post, it just locks it in your personal scrapbook.

You Do Not Have to Reblog things YOU do not want to

When people say 'reblog the post' they mean reblog instead of ONLY hitting the like button. Tumblr relies on reblogs to put things on your dash. If you're liking something, then it hits your interests, and you should be reblogging it.

HOWEVER YOU ARE NEVER OBLIGATED TO REBLOG ALL THE THINGS.

Most people, including myself, will reblog from friends because we're friends! I support your foray into a fandom space I have no understanding of, but odds are if you are into it, then some of my other mutuals may be into it so I'll reblog. But I'm not out here reblogging every post I see from people I don't know in fandom spaces I'm not familiar with. It's my blog. I curate what I'd like. Some people have a dozen sideblogs for every fandom niche interest. Some of us just have the one blog and you strap in for whatever fandom chaos we go on. If you tag me in something, I occasionally miss it because I get the notification on my phone but don't have the free moment to do it and forget. Or maybe I add it into my queue.

When you are creating something you need to be mindful of your audience.

I'm in my mid 30s. I do not play in the Disney space (I know Disney Descendents is popular? That came out waaaaay after my time I don't know what it is), I don't know what that girl with the ghost band thing is that was going around a few years ago. I have fellow adult friends who do not engage with fan creation that involves minors. Additionally, I've seen people create OCs for shows like Criminal Minds. Hey! more power to you, I've never watched the show, and I know there's fic out there (I had someone tell me about a what I think was a Harry Potter/Criminal Minds crossover??? wow), but it's not going to get the same kind of traction as say, a Teen Wolf fan work.

I'm not saying don't create for your niche interests! CREATE! BE FREE AND MERRY! but understand that those creations just won't get the same kind of traction because it's a niche interest.

We create for ourselves, we share to find other people who enjoy our hobbies.

Which brings me to my second point:

NO ONE IS KNOCKING ON YOUR BEDROOM DOOR TO MAKE FRIENDS

Making friends is hard! I totally get it. But a sure fire way to turn people off way fast is to start a conversation with me but make it abundantly clear you care about nothing that I say/offer and are just waiting for your turn to talk so you can tell me about YOUR things and expect ME to ask questions. Conversation is a two way street. It's a back and forth. It is not me sitting there like a parent patiently listening to my child tell me about the cool toy adventure they're doing. I'm not your parent. I'm not your captive audience. I'm another person, and if you want friends - MEANINGFUL friends - then you need to make an effort to engage with people.

And it's hard. It's hard because so many people out there are very navel-gazey, and people get so caught up in the excitement of their own creations that they forget to ask other people about theirs. And... you're gonna have to be okay with that. You're gonna have to be okay with it feeling like pulling teeth, and know that hey! you're never gonna be buddy buddies with everyone. You just keep being you, you just keep showing the kind of person you are, and eventually it'll happen.

It's taken me over a decade to form meaningful mature friendships online. I've had friends over the years, ofc, but it's only now, when I can approach something with clear expectations and not thinking everyone is off having fun without me in some little clique, that I've been able to connect with people more honestly. And taking a five year break from tumblr helped a lot with that. I bought a house, I got a new job, I did other meaningful things with my life that wasn't on the internet.

The internet isn't actually a popularity place. You do not have to be popular to exist. I have been on tumblr since the inception pretty much. I have 200 followers and I only interact with 10 of them, maybe 15. And I'll tell you that outta those 200, 90% of them are blogs that haven't updated in years. A follower count does not promise reblogs, does not promise friends. It's literally impossible to be best buddies with 2000 people, to have a meaningful connection with every. single. one.

anyway I'm tired. I'm too old for this shit. Go touch some grass, go get off tumblr and play a new video game, join a book club, read more books, do things that aren't perpetually refreshing your dash and thinking everyone is off having fun without you because I promise you it's not fucking true. You need to have a life offline. You need a hobby that doesn't involve the computer. Seriously. Go touch grass.

You can't hurt them, and a blog like this isn't going to normalize preying on minors. YES it's wrong in real life, but anime teenagers are not normal teenagers. I literally just finished an anime about an assassin trying to get back to his wife. He was 16 and had a wife I swore he was at least 20 sometimes anime ages don't make sense. Please don't start anything or I will start blocking. But for those of you who don't want to participate in those polls, I will tag them with #minor poll so you can block all polls that have confirmed 15-17-year-old characters. So if you have a problem with this decision, block the tag and don't participate. Don't start crap. Now that does mean please in your request say there is a 15-17-year-old so I can add the special tag for the sake of everyone that doesn't want to participate in these polls

Rematches are allowed if you feel like your character was wronged or victim of recency bias but the original poll must be over. That's one of the advantages of not doing a tournament and just doing random polls for fun

Not required but recommended if you want your poll to end up in the queue faster putting their age in the submission saves me time and will probably make your poll end up in the queue faster. Especially if there's a 16 or 17-year-old so I know to put the special tag

Also recommended but not required. You could submit photos along with your request. This is especially for people who have super specific photo requests. You just did half the work for me and as long as it's not fan art because I would need that artist permission to use it, I'll use it. And again because you just did half the work for me. So, your poll will more likely end up in the queue faster. Now if you do submit photos, please make sure both photos share The same orientation they either both got to be landscape or portrait for formatting reasons.

Queue Propaganda

First off, what is the queue?

It's a posting mechanic that you can customize for yourself so that rather than immediately reblogging something, you can arrange for it to be posted at a later time. Your queue on tumblr can fit up to 1000 posts! Wow!

Why would I want to do something like that?

There are lots of reasons! For me, I like the idea of having something that consistently posts throughout the day for my followers in different time zones. I also like to support artists by reblogging, but I don't want to spam their notifications all at once and create an impenetrable wall of reblogs from the same artist on my dashboard, and the queue allows me to distribute those reblogs over a longer period of time, basically giving said art a more extended period of circulation. The queue also has a 'shuffle' function, so if you have a whole bunch of reblogs from one person, you can 'shuffle' it with other items in your queue so your dash has a bit more variety. If you're an artist, you can also set up your blog to reblog your own works so that they can show up on feeds at a later time. It can also be useful if you're reuploading a bunch of your art from twitter onto here and maybe don't want to dump it all at once.

Do we have to have a queue?

You do not! You can come online and spam reblog a bunch of jackshit or whatever suits you! I just think it's a nice feature!

Is there queue etiquette?

Nothing heavily enforced, but a lot of people will use a queue tag (often something quirky and specific to their blog) to indicate when their blog is posting from their queue, which also doubles as a 'hey just because I'm posting doesn't mean I'm online' sort of message. Some people will have a silly queue-specific pun for their queue tag, and others will just tag their queue with 'q,' it's really up to personal taste. You can schedule as many or as few queue posts a day to suit your tastes.

What's up with the post scheduling? Is that the same thing?

It's in a similar category, but it's more specific. When you schedule a post, that's basically set at the time you set it to post at, regardless of what's in your queue. The post is visible in your queue, but it stays fixed at the date you scheduled for it, regardless of what you add to your queue or how many times you shuffle it. This is very useful if you have content or reblogs meant for specific events and holidays!

Okay but what is the general vibe around queues? Do people like or dislike when you queue their posts as opposed to immediately reblogging them?

A queue *is* a reblog. There is a bit of a joke with queue users on this site where it's like "I'll see if they like my post within 6-8 business days" but it really is a useful form of posting because it extends the sort of... digital shelf life of content. No one is insulted if they see you reblogged your post with a queue tag. A reblog is a reblog, regardless of what time it pops up on the dash. No pressure.

oh man so it's literally. nth in line. in terms of my to-be-written queue. but! basically it would take place in a version of the world where vampires and humans coexist, but vampires are largely kept hush-hush due to the massive clans of hunters around (significant of 'old money'). jay is a recently turned vampire, as in wolfshiem turned him in 1919. I've talked about it before somewhere but jay being a vampire...the concept of being permanently stuck...is just so him. and it lends well to the concept of these parties being the only way he can get daisy to come to him. it's not like he can go out during the day, right? and these parties provide a constant stream of people to feed off of, but of course, as in the book, he's very generous with those he feeds from—they don't remember it, of course, but when someone says "I tore my dress last time I was here and he sent me a new one worth 200 dollars to replace it"...even if she doesn't remember it, WE know he took a lil sip and was paying her back. he's not an animal after all. beyond that, daisy's family is full of hunters. some of the best. doesn't matter. jay wants daisy, and only daisy, not just because he loved her before he turned and she's one of the few strong memories of his human life, but because there's a chance that her bloodline is something of an undo button for vampirism. that's why they became hunters so far back, of course; vampires were always after them, trying to get their blood to 'cure' themselves. definitely not an allegory for jay trying to use daisy to 'cure' any other forms of his 'otherness'. nope. none of that here....................akdjflajdflakjd but obviously he's after daisy because once he has her, he can drink from her, cure himself, and they'll live happily ever after!! right!!! until!!! oh no!!!! her cousin shows up!!!! you know,,,, her cousin,,,, with the same fix-it genome ?????? whoopsie daisy.

it's not super fleshed out but it's definitely a Jay Lives au, mostly because wilson didn't know to use a silver bullet. nick would ideally find jay there bloodless and burning as the sun rises and try to give him some of his blood and...............ope. well :) you'll just have to find out what happens after that.

So... Twitter, huh? My spoiler filters there had some leaks, and I saw some discussion out of context that... actually made me kinda scared to finish the show. But then I did, and had fun with it just like the other two seasons, and I remembered that Twitter gets high-strung about things that don't matter so much, and that giving it sway over how much I enjoy things is silly lol.

Yes, I think the last season could've been paced differently so it wasn't 5 episodes of the same Final Boss Fight. Yes, I think the writing switches jarringly between gearing for a young new audience and for a seasoned old one. Yes, I think the 2D flashbacks look and move worse than what fans constantly make for free. Yes, I think the final episode doesn't do nearly as much housekeeping as it should (does the Shatterverse still exist or not??). Yes, I think declaring the show is canon to the games or whatever they said probably wasn't the best idea. And yes, I think Black Rose should've had a shoulder-parrot!Birdie to match the other Amys. All valid critiques! All sensible things to think when you've been around the Sonic bush!

But I swear to god, people on Twitter act like these things spoil the whole package. Where's the nuance? Why does every opinion there become an absolute worth tearing others down for? Is it the character limit? I bet it's the character limit.

There's so much I love about this show that were infeasible for the Sonic brand just 3-4 years ago. Externalizing the characters' facets to explore them in-depth. Said exploration spanning multiple episodes instead of being one-and-done. The sheer amount of genuine Sonadow food (and I don't actively do shipping, so me adding it here should hold a lot of weight). The snappy, playful, yet blistering fight scenes that, dare I say, feel like a successful TV-budget Spider-Verse. It was all so much fun!

But I guess stuff like Green Hill being the gang's "home" is a big deal-breaker?? Like?? I thought that was silly too, but not worth ratio'ing people with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over? Get well soon, I guess??

This is kind of just an unhinged meta rant about Rymin so do with it what you will. It's about Ryan's parents and how, despite having very little screentime, they really play into the story and the disagreements that Ryan and Min-gi have.

Ryan's dad only has one line and it's to give exposition to the fact that he's from a large family. That's all any of the Akagis say about Ryan. They aren't paying any attention to him or what he's doing in the BBQ scene in the twin tapes. Ryan is the exact middle child, and I think that was chosen intentionally to drive this point home. Them overlooking him leads to a lot of his outbursts throughout the season (quotes may not be exact because im not going back to look) -- "Our parents are probably wondering where we are. Or, at least... yours are." (the old west car), "Why doesn't anyone care about how I feel?" (the art gallery car), "At least your parents actually care about you!" (the mega maze car), and "No one cares about me unless I'm doing... something." (honestly cannot remember which episode and I'm too lazy to look it up). Ryan's parents' absence from book four is purposeful -- their lack of presence says just as much about Ryan as Min-gi's parents presence says about Min-gi.

Ryan has a big personality. He's a performer. He loves dressing up in crazy outfits and he loves looking cool. I don't think these things necessarily stem from emotional neglect as a child, but they are affected by it. He craves attention and he hasn't been getting it, and that leaves him with severe issues when it comes to dealing with his feelings. All of those quotes I mentioned are him lashing out, seeking attention from Min-gi, hoping that Min-gi will notice how much he's hurting from being ignored -- but every time, Min-gi redirects back to his own family issues.

Min-gi is from the opposite situation. I don't have as much to say here because the show is much more blatant about it, but his parents give him too much attention. They hover, they tell him what to do and how to do it. He is being slowly crushed by their expectations. He wants the same things as Ryan -- to make music, to perform, albeit for... lets say artsier reasons than Ryan does. But he's been taught those things are childish. He needs to be the responsible one, and clearly he's the only one with a good head on his shoulders, considering what Ryan is like. He lashes out at Ryan constantly, especially in the early part of the season, for continually dragging him into impulsive plans.

He wants Ryan to conform to societal norms, like he does, like his own parents taught him, so that Ryan will stop getting them into messes. However, Min-gi doesn't see that Ryan's personality and mental health issues don't give him the option to conform (creds to tumblr user vexahlla for that phrasing ... her tags on this post made my brain explode). He says "I couldn't get into uni if I tried" (the mega maze car). This is a whole other rant but Ryan also displays symptoms of bipolar disorder throughout the season which indicates to me that his brain chemistry would not physically allow him to slow down and follow a "typical" life path without genuine help (not the needling Min-gi was doing in the astro queue car). I think these problems that the show alludes to would have been alleviated a lot more if he'd had more help from his parents, but again, he's dealt with emotional neglect since he was tiny.

So Ryan and Min-gi end up as an unstoppable force and an unmovable object (which... now that i think about it... is a pretty accurate description of them as people, too). They both want to play music, but Ryan needs it immediately, because he needs the attention that he's not getting at home. He wants to get away, and fast. However he doesn’t realize that getting away without Min-gi is pointless, because Min-gi is who he actually wants attention from anyway. On the other hand, Min-gi can't leave immediately, especially when he thinks there's a particular life path he needs to follow. Both desperately want the other in their life, which keeps driving them back together, but they butt heads because their upbringings are so opposite.

This issue doesn't exactly get resolved in book four, but it doesn't need to, either. Book four ends with Ryan and Min-gi apologizing, and agreeing to stop sweeping things under the rug, actually try to look at each other fully, and see where the other person is coming from. So it's definitely a start to mending the gap between them and i think that's enough.

but mainly an old work friend of mine passed away today. He's been unwell for a few years, and I dunno if he knew what it was and was just keeping it quiet, or if they genuinely couldn't work it out. last I heard he was getting MRIs.

I had a complicated relationship w him (positive) bc he was either bipolar or had BPD like me (although he wasn't diagnosed with either, but it was obvious he at least had bipolar), and if you know anything abt BPD you know what an FP (favourite person) is, and we were sort of each other's when we were working together? I think. like I say he wasn't diagnosed, but it felt like that. we hit it off really quick and were both really comfortable with each other, and he was just the sweetest most supportive person. he was one of my FPs, which basically means my brain was cursed to be in intense friendlove with him. He would tell me that he loved me and appreciated my friendship, was always saying you need to tell people you love them, however you can, however you mean it, because you don't know if you'll ever get to tell them again

he always showed off the little things I made him and made sure everyone knew exactly where he got the silly little origami animals on his desk, or who made his juggling balls that were his favourite thing in the whole world bc I made them for him by hand, and picked the fabric out specifically for him.

One time around xmas, bc of covid, we had these big plastic screen dividers between our desks and I used posca paint pens to draw him a HUGE Robin in a scarf and santa hat (his name was Robin and people always got him little Robin themed things, he loved them) on the one by his manager desk, like a name tag, but Facilities told him he needed to clean it off and chastised him thinking he did it, and you're "not supposed to vandalise work equipment" even though they're literally washable and it was xmas. we were sticking decorations everywhere, how is it any different? but he played along but he was really mad. He didn;t wanna say it was me that did it, because he thought I might've gotten in trouble, but he also wanted to argue that I'd put alot of work into it. I hadn't put that much in, it was just for fun and I liked drawing it, and he got to see it! That was the important part. and I said so. but I cleaned it off and drew him a new Robin on a piece of paper and he kept it at his desk like a retired picket sign, and told the story to anyone who would be polite enough to listen

mostly though, he gendered me correctly (and he was in his 60s so being so passionate abt they/them pronouns was just really sweet, though he was clearly bi but still in the closet, so it was maybe a little projection, in a way, or just straight up quiet queer solidarity), and literally agressively made sure everyone else did too, when he realised I'd been just letting people at work use whatever pronouns, he got really proactive and made sure all my paperwork was marked as "them" officially (with my permission). if anyone misgenered me he would get visably annoyed or disgusted, and there were a couple people who "forgot" (every time) and he actually got angry at them about it and reported them for harassment, which might've been a little extreme, but I honestly felt so validated, and I'm tearing up thinking about it. I don't think anyone's ever fought that hard in my corner, especially after only knowing me for, at that point, less than a year.

We worked together in a couple different parts of the business for a couple years, until some stuff happened that I shouldn't say bc I need my rp blog(s) to stay far away from my professional life, but we were gonna be working together doing something else, but it wasn't his thing, it was stressful and there were other reasons, but he just lost it and walked out.

we had a little joke when we were training before he left, he had this soft toy robin that he let me borrow because I was really anxious, and I gave it a little notepad and pencil and wrote something silly on it for when he got it back each time. usually some out of context joke on what we learned that day, so we could both laugh about it. but when he left I still had it, and I messaged him saying I would get it back to him sometime, but he said to keep it to remind me of him.

I put it away to keep it safe, but I'm gonna have to go and find it, because it's one of the only physical things I have left of him.

@staff here are some of my complaints of how Tumblr is working.

I am not exactly fond of the new layout, especially since it takes more steps to get to the queue and drafts with this new layout, and I don't need that. It also feels cluttered and scrunched in.

Also, for some reason, some of my tags that I have used recently are gone, and not just that once I type it in it comes back, but that each time I use it, I have to type out the whole tag each time. You never remove the tags I don't use anymore but you have been making me retype tags that I have used just the other day. Makes no sense.

The "For You" section is showing me mostly things that I am already following, which makes the "For You" section pretty much pointless. Also, just because someone I follow a blog that posts things about video games, doesn't mean that I do, and that I want to see recommendations for it. I thought that section was based of my reblogs and my searches, and I never searched up Assassin's Creed to warrant recommendations for it.

One thing that I miss is the option to search for the exact tag, because if I look up "Little Women" I want to see the exact tag for that, not posts that have words "little" and "women" in it.

Also, don't make the "Snooze Tumblr Live" for only a week long, because I am tired of having to go back each time to turn it on then back off. If I don't want it, I don't it, period.

I've been on tumblr since 2009 (yep, oldies alert) and I agree with you about how newer folks coming to tumblr need to understand that likes do nothing. Likes personally offer nothing to anyone other than saving it in a little area for yourself to look at later. No one likes to show their likes either, so if folks suggest going to look through your friends likes? Nope, don't even recommend it, most of us wont do it. Reblogs are what helps artists, and if you're new on tumblr, it's something you gotta get used to here. Sure you'll get a very occasional recommended post from Tumblr, if you track tags or if they think a blog is similar to someone else's that you're looking at. Posts don't do that. This is coming from someone who met their wife on tumblr because their blog was recommended to me by Tumblr, so I get the impact that can have. Nevertheless if someone sees a comic or art piece or gif set or whatever that they like? Hit reblog! Even if you're worried about clogging your mutuals dashes? Set up a queue! You can control how much it posts and how frequent those posts are, it's a free advantage of tumblr that other social media forms doesn't offer!

I agree. All this wonderful conversation of "How we could make comics and other creative posts more visible?" doesn't do anything (for anyone) if the user base here doesn't reblog posts.

I've also made (very long time) friends over Tumblr because people reblogged stuff, I got to see them, I found new blogs based on these reblogs, people commented on my posts and so on.

Tumblr is a communal space, not a social media platform. Algorithm doesn't exist, it's all manual labor. Everyone here can make their dashes as they are and everyone here is expected to curate themselves. If something in your dash isn't for your liking, you have means and the responsibility to deal with it.

Everything in Tumblr is also in a chronological order and can be found even 10 years later.

I don't know where to go as a creator or what to do as a fandom person who wants a community and a platform for sharing stuff if (and when) Tumblr croaks. This place is so unique no other place like this exist and frankly, I think that for now, this is the best platform for artists. We lack something like AO3 for artists at the moment.

What the Hell is going on here?

Well that is a good question and I am glad you asked!

This blog was originally meant to be a nice, peaceful, inoffensive blog, to go to and relax while looking at pretty seasonal and/or holiday pictures. I am in North America, so these are the seasons as they occur for me. I am American so these are the holidays which are common here, but I do try to include other holidays. Whether I am successful depends upon if I know about the holidays and if there are tumblr posts which relate to the holidays.

Then I discovered positive cartoons and I have included them. Unfortunately this blog seems to have outlived some of them, or at least their presence on tumblr. So there are some sweet older cartoons in my archive.

I have also added in actors, television shows or movies which I enjoy. This isn't really a fandom blog, though. For something like that, please visit the blogs that I reblog from.

I also occasionally find a particular post that is funny or weird and I will pop that in here too.

Mainly this is a queued blog. Generally it posts 50 times a day. I have decreased the posts to 25 times a day if there isn't a big holiday, or a lot of tumblr posts that are relevant to the season.

But if there is something politically or socially going on, I will post, or reblog other blogs about that. I post those when I am actually online though, those are not usually a part of my queue.

I have more recently begun reblogging posts with terms peculiar to tumblr ie. blorbo, or old posts that are well known on tumblr ie. World Heritage posts, or posts that may be so old that people have seen posts about them, but have never seen the original posts. I have been on tumblr for a lot longer than I have had this blog, so some of these are nice memories for me, or make me laugh.

Occasionally I will go through my list of followers and reblog something from each of their blogs to keep myself up to date with them and to introduce them to each other. These are usually put into my queue, so you may see that I liked a post and then a week later that I reblogged it. I still try to find posts that somewhat fit my theme.

For my seasonal and holiday posts, I use search terms. As fewer people are on tumblr, I find fewer posts there. Also, some people are just as lazy as I am and forget to tag their posts. I always tag my original posts, which are fewer, but I don't always remember to tag my reblogs. In general this is because only the tags on the original posts will put them under a search term.

I do, however, try to tag anything that might squick someone out, or be triggering.

For instance, I do reblog from @jenny-jinya . I always tag her posts with jenny jinya, lovingreaper, and sad comic, as well as other tags about the actual content, to help my followers who need to avoid them do so. But I think her messages about cruelty to animals and other such subjects are important and beautifully done, so I want her work to be a part of my blog. I would have never found her if someone I was following hadn't reblogged her work, so I try to do the same.

I don't often participate in the "tag more people" types of messages. Not that I don't appreciate them, I just have a lot less time for that rn, I'm sorry! I used to have one another blog which was my main blog, and a second side blog but I abandoned those a few years ago to concentrate on my happy blog due to time constraints. That's why a little more of my personality has come out on this blog than I originally intended.

I usually follow back those who like or reblog from my blog, unless they have something on their blog which makes me uncomfortable. Lots of people like pretty pictures, so occassionally I find a blog that doesn't post things that will make me happy when I see them on my dash. That's nothing against them, just a difference in opinions or tastes.

A quick question about order of operations on your end. Is it correct to assume if you are able to identify a fic quickly, you answer it, give it a gif , & line it up in the queue?

I ask cuz I always check whichever pending list is relevant to make sure tumblr actually sent my ask through & then no need to resend after an appropriate wait. Recently I didnt see one I really need help finding on pending. I tried to simplify it cuz maybe first was too long, but for all I know you recognized it & its just waiting time for me.

Note: Tumblr may have just eaten my ask both times because my mobile app doesn't show the character count anymore so it may just be a situation of 'Tumblr tell you it sent, but its too long, so Tumblr go nomnom'

You're right, if I recognize a lost fic right away I post it and put it in the queue. If I don't it goes on the lost fic page. And if it's an ask for a list of fics I add it to the pending asks page.

My queue isn't very long so if I post it it'll be up within a day. And in all my time doing this it's actually pretty rare that tumblr eats asks. As much as people like to blame it.

A few reasons why you may not see your request on one of the lists, it's already been found, (search/wordfromyourask) it's so old that i removed it after trying a "last chance lost fic post," it was written by an author who writes incest or shota or it is a fic with incest or shota. I don't post those.

The best way to make sure you know if your fic is posted is to come off anon. That way I can tag you.

Just a little 'shadow ban' update. It's been about two weeks, and I'm still waiting. Everyone keeps telling me to just make a new blog but I'm stubborn, dumb, and lazy (much like my muse). So I'm going to keep waiting it out. Most I've seen it take is a week so if things don't change by end of October, I might re-evaluate. THAT BEING SAID. Someone mentioned yesterday (very smart of them) that the reason I might not be getting as many memes sent in is because people don't get notified when I post new things. This is true, BUT. There's also a secret (ish, not really) around this. Tumblr will indeed still notify you if I post anything with your name. That being said, once you click the notification, POOF. Nothing will show up. Vanishes like magic. If you get a mysterious vanishing notif, it's probably be interacting with you in some way (unless you have another shadow banned friend). There are also two ways around it, one of which is going to be more effort. What can you do to see if you missed a reply from me? Check my blog every night. My queue ends at 5:30 PM EST, and posts 8 times a day. So if you're logging on and you really want to know, you can always look and scroll through the last day's posts. Effort, yes, but definitely doable.

And if you can't do that? The other way. Once my blog is finally out of the shadow realm, I'm going to make a post, stating to like the post if you want me to let you know what you may have missed during the lovely month of October. Fortunately I'm really great at tagging my stuff with your usernames, so it's really easy to search my blog and find all things that have been posted to each and every one of you. I want to be able to do that for you guys once the ban is lifted, and I'll send you any posts that don't have responses yet. That doesn't mean there's a rush to reply to them, and for all I know maybe you DID see them and haven't replied yet, but at least then all our bases are covered.

Well, folks, we've reached it: Day 30 of being shadowbanned. Five support tickets to staff without even an auto response back. Direct email also unanswered. I still have the gift package shaking on my dash and no way to open it and claim the free ad time. I don't know what to do about it.

The sideblog is helpful in that now I can receive direct messages on here and make posts that show up in tags, but that still doesn't fix my inability to reply or show up in likes. I know I'm switching back and forth between blogs and that annoys even me.

I just wish I could have one (1) reply from staff to confirm that I'm in a queue somewhere.
