I've been reading the emesis blue screenplay whenever I have a bit of free time, and it's so interesting to see the small changes they've made to some scenes.

But also, the knowledge that Fritz was supposed to have visions of being mistreated in prison in that one scene when he has a panic attack at scout's house makes me go hhhhhh

#60 seconds till mission begins rambles #If you can afford it; go support Fortress Films on patreon if you want access to the screenplay too; it's just 2 dollars a month #Honestly the script does clear up a lot of things not because the movie is confusing but because I am bad at listening to dialogues and #having all conversations spelt out with descriptions of the smaller details that are happening in the scene is super helpful #like who is seeing what in the corner of their eyes or what is in the black suitcase at the end when we see it open or #that one scene when soldier is talking to the police officers over radio to find out about who stole the black hearse and where it's headed #I didn't realise the guy who goes “roll down the window; I can't see your face” is the same guy who does the muffled screams 2 seconds late #there's a surprising amount of smaller scenes that were omitted which would have changed the feeling of some scenes a lot #It's only implied in the movie but Fritz puts Scout into the coffin after he's killed; that's actually described in the screenplay but #Instead of having a solemn moment about it the screenplay has him HURL scout into the coffin and then proceed to FIGHT for his life alksjdh #Screenplay Fritz is a different flavour of Fight and Flight and he has some more nightmares; let the man REST for a second #Ok no more spoilers; go read it yourself >:)

wow that latest silt verses episode. i've listened to it twice so far and i feel like there's Some essay meta connection i want to make about terminal illness and tragedy and losing people to the mundane even when you have the power of gods at your fingertips and when you've tried so hard and done everything Right..... but i don't know how to fathom it into words. maybe with another listen or two i could post coherently about it but for now just. waow. hey. what the fuck.

in an unexpected turn of events i'm having to edit down the content in my aubrey monologues so that i can actually fit all four of them in my final performance for my standup class and on the one hand it sucks bc i really love some of the jokes i have to cut but on the other hand someday i'll be able to write more monologues and possibly expand upon this cut material so i can get a whole monologue on a topic that would've just been an aside

#the actual standups in my class who have only ever done a tight five having to stretch their new material to fit the 20 minute final #vs me‚ an extremely extra fag who's used to writing full-length scripts‚ realizing the 3 monologues i've timed already add up to 20 min #and i'm working on a fourth one that works better as an opener than any of the existing pieces so it has to get in #(it'll be short tho i'm making sure of it. it's just like ''here's some material about aubrey's relationship to zir mom!'')#(then immediate segue into the uncle reg bit)#got the catcalling monologue down to 5 minutes and 30 seconds when the first draft was nine minutes #(tbh i'm fine with most of those cuts i think they were mostly filler)#(there's a bit about androgyny that i liked that i cut but tbh it doesn't work as just one paragraph it needs more nuance)#the uncle reg monologue is having the ''dumped at the pride parade'' thing trimmed down which is funny bc that was the original premise #tbh i could probably stretch my toronto pride material ft. uncle reg to a full 20 minutes bc the first stream of consciousness was so long #i wrote it right after i myself got back from toronto pride and tbh i actually wrote it as the outline for a sitcom episode #so the monologue version is very reduced down bc there were so many details that didn't fit in #and i'm realizing the material about the person who dumped aubrey should be its own monologue that i'll do another time #and maybe even add in the rest of the sitcom-style story at some point bc tbh that's some of my favorite aubrey material i've come up with #and the cishetman monologue is getting the intro part about facetime trimmed a bit bc it meanders #and the ''sugar and spice and everything nice'' joke is being cut even tho i like it bc i actually have a ton more material in my notebook #that's just me riffing on how weird those expressions are. and the material isn't polished but i could make it something later #the song isn't being trimmed bc it has a very specific run time and imo is the strongest. so that's my closer #anyway thank you to everyone reading my aubrey updates i'll be sure to post the final 20-minute-special on youtube #and i hope i get to do more monologues soon so i can put the other ideas mentioned here (as well as some i haven't) out into the world

the way the script/shows prove that nancy likes steve to an extent and is attracted to him again but people deny stncy has no chance of happening and nancy has never loved steve or never has been attracted to him at all...... like girlie i understand stncy does suck but being delusional wont erase canon lol. also the falling relationship of jncy. like i dont even think stncy is going to be canon again but lets not act like they do not like each other when they blatantly do... and that they feel attraction toward one another. this is a serious case of denial.

not you sending this to me, someone who thinks there was and is no feelings from nancy to steve💔 kidding. that's just what i said when i answered a similar ask two months ago. i think there's no point in denying that there's attraction there and that that's what we're seeing in season 4, she thinks he's hot, big deal, they were together and having sex for a year of course she would still find him attractive 18 months later lol. he looks the same. but yeah like i was saying in march i do think she liked him but i don't think she was ever IN LOVE with him. which, semantics i guess? but also not really. and i don't see her leaving jonathan because of the five days she spent hanging out with her ex who was the only person who knew anything of what she'd been through with the upside down and barb you know? but that doesn't necessarily translate to jncy endgame. agreed # not in denial tbh

the only reason i’m confident stncy isn’t gonna happen isn’t because i’m sure jncy is endgame because as i just said i’m not, it’s because it makes no sense thematically. and i know that doesn’t sound like much when you get scenes of nancy staring at a shirtless steve, but i really just still don’t see her checking him out as a deep (meaningful) attraction. if they’d shown us steve and nancy having deep personal talks maybe but what do we get all season really? sexual tension? nancy checking him out? an act of “unambiguous true love” that’s just nancy trying not to let someone close to her die on her watch again?

the thing with jncy though is it's not exactly like byler and mlvn where you can go "mlvn isn't endgame for these reasons therefore byler is" because jncy have Been in a relationship. mike not ending up with either wouldn't make sense because we've only seen one relationship play out, with nancy though...she's been with both. stncy is dead in the water and makes no sense with the rejecting comformity theme of the show. but jncy are no longer in that s1-2 love triangle territory that ensures they're gonna be together, they're in an actual relationship now and are having trouble, that's just the objective truth. maybe they'll fix everything and go to emerson or nyu or lenora community together. but i also think saying they're fine just because stncy isn't happening again is a little presumptuous.

#What is ancient ties? WELL FINALLY #See uhhh ancient ties is my main warrior cats oc universe. With fanclans entirely populated with full lineups #And stories planned out through two arcs.#The first arc consists of two comics and a short epilogue converging the two and setting up arc 2 #Well. It SHOULD. It doesn’t YET but it WILL I’m. Working on things #We originally got 2 chapters out I believe but. An artist left the team and that would significantly change the style #Because I let them sketch and line after my paper boards! So I’m gonna just. Today I've been playing the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest and... I have so many thoughts that I would love to talk about. Right now my mind is everywhere on a million things as it always is whenever I finish a huge quest like this, but I'll be leaving some brief thoughts under cut:

Each day I see one of these quests that disclose so many dark prospects of this game I'm more excited about it, honestly. I still have to gather my thoughts, but my monkey brain can't help but think about Dain. About how he, alongside the sussy one-armed sage, Schwanenritter and Pari fought together against the abyss and how Dain, the sage and the first Pari did this huge thing together to purify and cleanse the place from the abyssal influence with what's called "a vein of the ancient tree" which I presume to be Irminsul.

The fact that the first Pari still remembers Dain warms my heart, as well as I feel a bit bad for Zurvan (that's the Pari's name) because Dain said that he would come back or that they'd see each other again and she felt kind of... bitter maybe? About it. First it was Halfdan, and now it's a tiny little Pari that look at Dain the way they do and I'm just emotion™ at all of this.
