I finished The Final Gambit by @authorjenlynnbarnes! It was a really good read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Couldn’t put it down just like all of Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ books. This one was good and definitely wrapped up the store well. It was a little disappointing compared to the first two but that could just be because I feel like the biggest mysteries were already revealed. Atenção: Esse post contém bastante spoiler. Ps: Deixo aqui claro que minhas resenhas só devem fazer sentindo na minha cabeça 🍂 RESENHA 🍂 Sobre o livro, eu surtei do primeiro até o último capítulo. Eu fiquei com muito ódio quando eles escutam o áudio, o jeito que o velho perturbado da cabeça deixa claro que só usou a Avery como alvo me deixou muito puta, mas felizmente ela aprendeu a ser maior que ele. A Eve não fui com a cara em momento nenhum, desde antes de ler o livro eu já tinha teorias de que se tivesse a volta dela, não seria coisa boa. Me encheu o coração quando o Xander fala com o pai, pelo menos em um a Sky teve que acertar né. A parte que eu mais comemorei foi quando o Grayson finalmente resolveu acordar para vida, ninguém aguentava mais ele com a ladainha de Emily em tudo. O Nash sendo irmãozão com todo mundo e se juntando com a Libby deixou meu coração quentinho, finalmente a coitada teve algo de bom na vida além da irmã. E a Avery e o James foi tudo o que eu esperava e ansiava (já estava pronta para xingar a autora se não fosse endgame). E ainda teve Alisa e Oren que eu desconfiei várias vezes pelo fato de não achar normal pessoas serem tão fiéis a alguém, mas eles provaram que realmente eram desse jeito. E teve Thea que ajudou a coitada da Bex a finalmente se livrar dos diabos da perturbada da Emilly. A única coisa que não concordei foi com o final do Toby que ficou meio vago, mas nem sempre temos o que queremos. Following Avery after she inherits a billionaires fortune out of nowhere, we watch as she is thrown into a world where everyone has something to hide. We watch as she becomes closer to the Hawthorn brothers, and as they solve the clues left for them to solve. I have to admit that while I found the writing style of the novels mediocre, I absolutely loved the element of the puzzles and riddles, the small mysteries within the big mystery. The clues were a beautiful addition to the storyline, and I had a blast figuring out the puzzles hidden within the books. I didn’t enjoy the inclusion of the love triangle between Avery and two of the brothers, but I understood that it helped along the plot of the first novel, and helped reveal some of the characters personalities, flaws, thoughts and secrets. The character development throughout the novels were mostly well done, although there were a couple of times were some of the characters went backwards. Overall, a fun and quick trilogy to read; perfect for mystery lovers! 🧩✨🧩✨🧩 The Inheritance Games is book 70 for 2022. The Hawthorn Legacy is book 71 for 2022. 🚨⚠️⚠️SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL GAMBIT: mostly an averygrayson rant

Just finished reading it and i can say with the utmost certainty that my heart has snapped into 2😭😭😭

I will admit tho, even though i ship averygrayson with every cell in my body, I'm not VERY upset that aj were endgame. (I have cried for two hrs before coming to this conclusion) But I'm mostly pissed about the lack of content that was given to avery and gray. Their moments, while beautiful and amazing, were always very minimal. And as a shipper, i would have loved some more bonding moments between them even if the endgame remained the same in the end.

Also my bb gray deserved sooo much more in this book.😭😭 I mean, we finally had a book focusing on him and yet the growth and healing shown was not very much. I am glad that jlb gave us a peek into his trauma but. WE. NEEDED. MORE

Also can someone pls tell me what to do so that i can see Grayson Davenport Hawthorne genuinely happy for once in his life.😭😭 He deserves all the happiness and therapy in this world.

I actually liked Jameson in this book. His trauma is also truly heartbreaking and made me cry like a baby😭

Nevertheless, excellent book. The mystery and storyline was wrapped up quite beautifully. AND THE BONUS SCENE WAS JUST 🤌🤌✨🤌🤌🤌✨🤌✨🤌✨🤌.

However, I will always stand by averygrayson. They are the loml and jlb did them dirty. They are soulmates and the DEFINITION of wasted potential and i know, no matter what, a part of them will love eachother forever. 🥹🥹
