I went to comic con with my mate @tenderlyhands! They're cosplaying Midas Papos, a Greek merchant from the 1961 live action film Tintin and the Golden Fleece. He basically shows up, seriously serves with his amazing button up, gets told his friend died then is immediately shot. guy deserves a break so he went to comic con after recovering I guess

also to everyone contacting me about the tiktok--I have seen it, the reposter did not contact me before posting on tiktok but has since contacted me on instagram and they obeyed my repost credit policy so i'm tentatively ok with it!

Tsurugi is talking with touma over the phone here and we only hear tsurugi's side of the conversation. I know yoshimasa was the closest thing touma had to a good father figure so I can see him trying to be nice to his kids, but the image of touma picking up shuhei and his little sister from school is still funny.

its kind of crazy how tumblr culture did a complete 180 somewhere between 2018 and 2020 and most of this website has stopped being proud of how miserable they are and instead the general mindset is now all about finding beauty in the smallest things and loving yourself despite it all i hope we all never stop thinking this way

my grace monroe post for the day: i think grace was probably taught several languages as a child BUT given that she got on the train so young her only means of retaining those languages would be by teaching them and speaking them around simon and the other apex kids--

--which i think she would do, because she loves being the centre of attention and having people see her as smart--

--but because she was a kid at the time, and she had no outside reference, the version of the languages that she spoke probably slowly got further and further away from how they are in reality. so basically there are a group of 30-ish kids in the infinity train-verse who speak a completely unique child-brain-remembered version of like french, spanish and russian or some shit.

worlds 2024 crowd

so we went to worlds! i never make posts but i needed to talk about this. i might make a post about the rest of the event somewhere else but i NEED to vent about the thing that pissed me off the most of the whole event - which wasn't even anything to do with the skating!

i've seen a million people talking about how amazing the crowd was and like. i don't know where they were or what their experiences were but mine was largely miserable.

i was in a fantastic seat (even tho it was not the seat we originally bought) but the section was full of, largely, the worst people i've ever had the misfortune to share an audience with. people distracting skaters, talking to them on the ice, disrespecting other people's spaces, talking loudly about irrelevant things during programs, WALKING BACK TO THEIR SEAT DURING A PROGRAM, saying blatantly racist shit about asian skaters, kicking people out of their seats during a program, calling security on people for seat hopping (without even trying to talk to the person first), threatening security for someone taking pictures... you name it, we had to deal with it.

like i generally avoid most fs fan spaces because people online are annoying as hell and i'm picky with who i follow/check for news. but the real life crowd? is so much fucking worse. it was just disheartening to feel like no one really respected the skaters on the ice.

i don't really have a point with this, but like... it was just so frustrating and such a bummer on the whole experience to have to put up with people who i felt weren't there to enjoy or support skating, but instead to be entitled pricks or catty assholes that made the vibes horrendous

#and this isn't even touching on the woman who harassed kaitlyn hawayek #who was indeed in my section in front of me #who TOOK CALLS DURING PROGRAMS/THE GALA #TALKED to rikuryu during their fucking program #and spent the entire men's event trying to take a selfie with jason brown with her trump beanie on #that woman was of course particularly despicable and we all hated her #but it wasn't just her! it was everyone! #i saw so many comments about the amazing supportive crowd and i was like....where were they.......not near me......... #except for the couple of folks in front of us with the ipad. y'all were cool as hell. #figure skating #world figure skating championships 2024
